2 pointsI read a post from Motown saying they found a way to increase the amount of players on servers, and that means having to remake the map. It could be considerably larger. He said Identity was originally intended to be a MMO, with thousands of players on a server. Not sure exactly how it'll work. But it is under consideration.
-
2 pointsFirstly, yes you can be a mechanic in the game and secondly the map will be 70 square miles which is bigger than the GTA map.
-
2 pointsNot the first time a game, show (Rick and Morty), or whatever's been delayed. Nevertheless, if they make it worth the wait I'll be more than happy to excuse their miscalculation. Development is hard, otherwise all of us here who have the time to be complaining about it all day would probably be even looking to help the Identity team themselves; After all they're always open to new talent.
-
2 pointsIt would be nice to see the progress bar move a little in the Town Square Module page. Even if it's like +0.5%, it would give me more hope that it's closer to getting done. Also, more in-game videos would be very nice as well, even if they're simple and no voiceovers. They boost morale, excitement, and preorders. It's a win-win!

2 points@ThomasHetch , no matter what we are to believe you must say something! As one that is now questionable, I believe you should approach this boldly, verses letting it sit, giving it little to no care! Answers...?

2 pointsThe packages that are available are the only ones and no deals like @Capped said above. The reason for this is because the packages are already heavily discounted and why would "Pledgers" from the website get better deals than pledgers from kickstarter? They wouldn't as that makes no sense for new pledgers to get better packages than the very earliest of backers.

1 pointDisclaimer: This topic is about association football (soccer), NOT American football. Hello fellow sports fans! As many of you know, the developers have stated that sports will be a form of entertainment in Identity. Therefore I present to you the community's first top level sports league. Due to the name of island currently being unknown, it will stay Identity Island. I present the Identity Island Football League (or Identity Premier League) The league will consists of 12 teams across the 3 cities, which each city starting with a chief club. The other 9 clubs must be purchased for $100,000 and you will become the president of that club (with full customization, from team logo/name to hiring, etc.) with a reserved spot in the 1st season of the league. Ash Hill: -Ash Hill FC (chief club) (buy able for $250,000) -(Open club spot) -(Open club spot) -(Open club spot) Roseport: -Roseport FC (chief club) (buy able for $250,000) -(Open club spot) -(Open club spot) -(Open club spot) Turtle Beach: -Turtle Beach FC (chief club) (buy able for $250,000) -(Open club spot) -(Open club spot) -(Open club spot) As the president of the club, you may hire managers, coaches, and other officials that deal with players and field management. League Season The start of the season will begin with a recruiting/transfer window. This time period will last approx. 2-3 weeks in where teams may recruit players or trade players with other clubs. (AFTER THE TRADING WINDOW CLOSES, PLAYERS MAY NOT BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER CLUBS) As a player: You will show off your skills to various teams interested in hopes of getting selected to be on the team. Tryouts and combines are the best ways to be scouted. If a team is interested in you, they will offer you a contract and once both parties agree, congratulations you're on a team! (more details will be provided) As a president/manager: You must actively scout for the most skilled players to assemble you're league squad in hopes of a title win. Hosting combines are a good way to find talent in the Identity community. If you are interested in a player, a contract must be made. The following must be included: -Salary (per season, not per year) -Signing bonuses (if any) -Length of contract (maximum 2 in-game years, until renewal) After all 12 teams have assembled their squad, the regular season will begin Each team will play each other twice throughout a season (once at their home field and once at that of their opponents) , for a total of 22 games each club plays. The scoring goes as follows: +2 points for a win/ +1 point for a tie/ 0 points for a loss Clubs will play 2 games a week (one on Saturday, one on Sunday, unless rescheduling is needed), so each season should last no more than 3 months. The team at the end of the season with the most points will be declared League champion. The champion club will receive (along with the title) a $1,000,000 prize (might be subject to increase). Conclusion: This is all just in the works of development and I would really like the community's opinions on the matter. I plan on turning the Identity Premier League into the most popular sports/entertainment feature in the game. If you are interested in becoming a player or manager in the League or if you have any other questions, feel free to comment below! Like and share with those who could seriously be interested!

1 pointKeys High-End Apparel We make high quality formal clothing and accessories. Our primary market is men, however we do cater for women also. A few months? No, we are sticking to the official European server. Yes http://www.identityrpg.com/community/topic/2778-keys-high-end-apparel/

1 pointWoah, gentlemen! Let's relax... @ThomasHetch all @FatherOfLoyalty is saying is that the guys like you. That's all! Our private discussions in our party...the conversations I have with my family ensure your security. You of all people know how security works! You want proof, proof that they don't want you to...disappear. Well, take word from me that YOU ARE IN GOOD GRACE! Don't get too involved in this discussion, stay in the good grace. Our small dispute is with Bobby and it'll be handled!
-
1 pointprove that they are willing to have me along for the ride and that they don't want me dead now because of what I recently said.
-
1 pointSabotage? No, I enjoy the competition. You may not be aware of this, but you cant remove forums once posted. I have rejected aid from all criminals, though I have not limited them from joining our political party. One group particularly has been very good to me! Bobby, this isn't a threat. But you don't wanna be an enemy to The Royal Family Political Party. Many who support me (good and bad) will do the needed to ensure I win and I don't want you to get in their way. @ThomasHetch & @JoelKeys have found great favor with the party. It would be wise of us all to do the same!
-
1 pointThank you for your response Lil Fish! Not all my policies and stances are set in stone as we will have to see how customization in the game will be as far as government goes. However, my biggest campaign platform is hearing out citizens and I appreciate your feedback. I absolutely agree about the rules set for use of force. They should be dictated by the Chief of Police, thank you for pointing that out. If you have any more concerns or questions please feel free to comment or direct message me.

1 pointThank you for that @LuciousTimes and this is my statement to the people who are calling me a tyrant. If you think I am a tyrant and you are just making up propaganda that says I am Hitler then I would like to see your views on running the Island and you could use those in your own campaign for governor because it seems you spend a lot of time posting and making videos about me then doing something about me and that is how the real word works boys and girls you don't just say stuff you do stuff. So if you want to stomp my campaign of what you call a tyrant and what I call a statesman the listen up do just say it, "Just Do It" - Nike All due respect, Thomas Hetch

1 pointOh jesus I'm just busting chops, don't get ur panties all twisted. Personally, I don't particularly care what other ppl drive. People want to drive nice 4 bangers, that's your perogative, It don't bother me none. Learn to take a joke...
-
1 pointWell I am just saying and not trying to be rude about it, but you didn't look hard enough to find info about mechanics because it is out there and a lot of times. You can be a mechanic and I am sure there will be lots to do in that area. @Herzog Can probably tell you more because that is his area he is interested in.
-
1 pointThey will release the next video this month likely, as it is due soon. The progress bar only gets updated when the devs feel like they have hit a milestone in progress with development and so they update it manually and in chunks.
-
1 pointYou do realise there will be more then 1 server right? it seems to me and a few other people that you've dictated yourself and your friends a high position in the government out of nowhere, and acting like there's going to be only one identity server. Whats the point?
-
1 pointGood question. I'm not sure if there will be a mechanic job or not. They may just make it a NPC for car modifications.

1 pointLooks like to me in the first OP that arky is just spreading some bs, at no point did motown ever agree to what a random guy on the forums and discord, is saying. Then Mr.Clark asked motown on the 18th of march 2017, asking if its been delayed then motown has just stated you're probably hearing rumours but cant comment on timelines. Chill out everyone till we get an official statement, yes motown stated that the town square is behind because of pax and gdc but no one ever stated anything official.

1 pointI'm sure this game is brought up various times throughout the forum and this game's related forum websites as well, but I believe we should entrust in the developers and other's related with the game as well, but we sure as hell don't want another No Man's Sky on our hands. Not saying that this game will be, but it's another one of those "too good to be true" games, and we all know that to be true. Sure we have the capability, but it's the funding. If No Man's Sky would have been funded and had a capable team, it could have been a massive success and not fallen off so quickly. I understand the "hands-off developers", put a bit a scare into the community, we have reason to after the recent failure of games the past year and so on, but I believe we should let the development stage run its course and determine the game and companies outcome after the first module is release. I too hope to see a statement from the developers confirming or debunking these alleged claims soon. Hopefully, we will! If you took the time to read this entire post, thanks. Leave a like if you don't mind ~ SummitsEdge

1 pointI hope so. Vehicle dynamics are a pretty complicated feat of both understanding engineering and programming so I hope they have someone in place to deal with that properly. This is a quote from their kickstarter and something I'm following very closely myself. It's something I hope they get right and essentially makes or breaks this game for me. I hope it takes a very decent amount of time to work on and I definitely don't mind if it gets delayed. My only issue with it is how to make "painstakingly realistic physics" accessible to a general audience without dumbing it down. Various racing and driving simulators do NOT work well with either controller or mouse and keyboard. Looking at console examples like Forza and Gran Turismo have dumbed down physics to be more responsive for casual controller use.

1 pointThat's for sure. Well, i don't write this because i am "angry" or "mad" that it has been delayed.I can understand this and i say i am not bad informed about the game because of reading the forums and Q&A's etc. But when it comes to Identity many people say that the communication of the developers is bad and because of this some people think that this game is scam. (Here in the Forums are posts about it and on Reddit for example) As you said the game is 3 years old already and in this timespan too less information has been given to the community. "Just" 2 Videos, Concept Arts but nothing playable. For most peopel it's to little. Many people (like me) also want official information from the developers and don't want to find about if the module has been delayed by a discord screenshot some user posted here. They want to hear it from @Motown or @Paratus here in the Forums or on the social Media pages. Now the news will be spread cause of this thread, maybe later on Reddit and people again start to think "why didn't they officialy announce the delay and we had to find out because of rumors and another Discord Screenshot?" (And even the Screenshot posted here doesn't have an official statement because its not Motowns area as he said) That's what many people will think and i can understand it. Even in my oppinion they should announce the delay officialy in a devblog for example in the next days. Else some people could get mad again I tried to empathize with the other peoples thoughts regarding on what they already wrote here in the forums and on reddit about the game. So please see this post an well-intentioned advice to the developers and not as a flame post from myself. Thank you

1 pointThat the modules are not gonna be out on march was public knowledge? There was never an official statement of anyone from Asylum that this will be delayed. Where can i get these information?

1 point@BobbyCruz, the only concerns I have are that with higher minimum wage ($15/hr), there comes higher prices of goods due to labor cost increase. This doesn't help the economy much. I'd say the education and training to receive higher paying jobs through hard work would be a better focus as opposed to a simple minimum wage increase. Also, the rules set for use of force are to be dictated by the Cheif of Police in their Policies and Procedures. Split second decisions sometimes must be made, even if they happen to be the wrong ones. As for criminals with weapons, that is technically a justified use of deadly force. But of course each situation is to be independently assessed. I, myself, have been tased before in training. It's 5 seconds of immobilization, then it's over (although you still feel tingly all over). The only reason people have died from tasers in the past is because of high repeat of 5 second cycles (such as about 10 times, which is criminal) or prior heart or other medical conditions that I'm sure we don't have to worry about in the game. When a you receive a 5 second cycle from a taser, your muscles seize up until the electric shock stops. During those 5 seconds, you don't breathe. Continuously cycling electric current through a body causes the muscles and organs to stop working for an extended period of time to the point where they cannot recover on their own. It's not the taser alone that harms people. It's the mistakes and poor training that some officers receive that make all tasers and officers look bad. In conclusion tasers should be more acceptable in game and the usage/regulation generally falls upon the Chief of Police.

1 pointBut they'd be absolutely shit so theres no point. It's like handing over source filmmaker to a 14 year old who has no or little concept of how to use it. That'll be the sort of quality the majority of player made movies will come out as.

1 pointLike I stated before, even a port of the game may be a waste of time. Consoles limit a game, and remove content for the sake of DLC. Asylum probably won't want to diesect their game to appeal to Sony or Microsoft's contracting. Why release part of a game, that will be reduced in ability, to appeal to the console players? If they want the full game, buy a PC and buy the game. Play the game how it is meant to be played. Hell they may not even port, which I think is a good idea. Instead they can focus on bettering the game even more.

1 pointHello citizens! It's been too long since our last developer blog entry, so I wanted to take the time today to update all of our backers on Identity's current state of development, as well as give a little more insight into the process behind the scenes. During the first year and a bit of development, most of the time was spent developing key backend systems. Networking modifications, weapon physics, character customization, voice communication and so on. That's all behind us now, and I'm happy to say it's gone as well as we could have hoped. Now and for the past couple of months we've moved on to gameplay development, making those backend features do the fun stuff. This Month in Development In this last month our lead character artist, Miroslav, has finished up everything we need for your characters going into the Town Square release. We're always going to be adding more character customizations over time, but to start you'll have the choice between 4 male and 5 female race options. After selecting your base race you can customize further with skin tones, blemishes, scars, eye color, hair styles, hair colors and tweaks to facial features. Identity is expanding on the usual character customization, though, as some of the options available can only be gotten through achievements. Prison tattoos are an example; if you see someone with such a tattoo you know they've done something to earn it. A lot of work this month has also gone into the player housing systems. In following our previous messages, our home customization system has been in place for some months although we've been expanding the floorplans in preperation for the Town Square module release. Sean, or Motown as you may know him, has prepared the various apartments you will have in the Town Square. If you have made a smaller pledge to Identity and do not have an apartment yet, we're going to be giving you access to a temporary (small) home in the Town Square so that you can play with the cusomization features. If you've pledged for a package containing an apartment, Town Square will show what you'll have in the full Identity game upon release. Just this morning our lead programmer, Henrik (AKA Mathalion), finished up the karaoke systems. It's a minor feature for Identity as a whole, but it's going to be loads of fun in the Town Square module! Just off the lobby of the hotel is a slick little bar, complete with a karaoke stage. You'll be able to queue up your favorite songs on the karaoke machine and see the lyrics on one of the monitors around the stage. The microphone on the stage really works, too, amplifying your voice out of the speakers so that your singing can be heard by everyone there! Most of us are terrible singers, so karaoke is going to have a lot of hilarious moments. If you're just there to watch, the restaurant by the stage is fully functional, too! It's Been Too Long I'll just come right out and say it: we at Asylum Entertainment have really had poor PR these last months, and you guys deserve better. You deserve much more frequent updates, and we're committing to give you that moving forward. We're a relatively small development team today. Currently a core staff of 5 incredibly talented full-time developers, I'm amazed every day with what this team can accomplish. Outside of our core we have a handful of part-time workers, mostly artists, who are also very skilled. Because we're a small team, many of us have to wear several hats. For example, Sean is our community manager but also a 3D artist. I myself am the project manager, a programmer and interface developer. This leads to few resources to dedicate towards PR as there's so much work to be done on the game itself. This is something we knew though, and we're going to set some time aside regularly to keep you in the loop. The Town Square module is coming soon. We're in the final months of 2016 now, and you'll finally be inside the first piece of the Identity world in the first quarter of 2017. It's a little later than we originally hoped since we're dedicated to making sure everything is smooth and stable from the first moments. Identity is an enormous undertaking, but the most difficult bits are behind us and we're drawing near! What to Expect The first stage of game development is always very boring to talk about, and also doesn't give us much to show you. Creating those backend systems that drive the game behind the scenes is one of the most important phases, but it's not very glamorous. It's for this reason that most games aren't announced until they're a couple years into development. Now that we're past that point, we're going to be able to start showing you real Identity gameplay. The first gameplay video you'll see is going to be in November and will show you just how detailed and in-depth Identity is becomming! You'll see a walkthrough of our housing system, showing just how far it can be customized and some of the cool fun features you'll find in there. Following that video we'll give you a glimpse of the Town Square features, leading up to its release. It's been a ton of work and a long time coming, but we're moving forward at a great pace and everything is about to get very exciting over here.

1 pointThe devs have said that they aren't sure how to handle shooting from in a vehicle, and I think I may have a solution. I think that if you're going to shoot from inside a car, that your gun should have to be outside the window to avoid shooting through your windshield (it would then need to be fixed if you put holes through it). And since your hand will be hanging out the window, your shots would be extremely unstable/inaccurate and difficult to aim. That way people can NOT EASILY headshot the guy behind them when they're going 100mph, but you can at least try. This would also be much better than having to stop the car, get out, shoot a few times, hop back in a drive off. drive-bys are a real thing and i feel they should be in the game, even if it's hard to actually kill someone while doing it. Hopefully the devs will consider this, let me know what you guys think!

1 pointHello, I would just like to suggest about having different holster types in the game. Now im no master at holsters so i dont have names for any of them so im going to be like a 30 year old drawing a bank heist plan in crayon on this suggestion. So first of all id like to say that the idea of these holsters is that it will have two factors to them: You either have a holster that improves concealment and reduces draw time or decreases concealment but excels in draw time. So firstly, and the one i want to see most, is just sticking it in your belt at the back. I think that this would consist of an average across both factors being that it is half concealed but maybe altering it slightly making it a bit longer to draw because it is behind you, Next would be waist and leg holsters which are open for the world to see but will allow you to quickly draw your gun. After that is shoulder holsters. What i mean by that is the ones that you generally see on the old 50s detective under the armpit. These would have excellent concealment (as you can place them under jackets and other such clothing) maybe making it not visible to the eye but to metal detectors and for this reason maybe make them pricier or illegal. I dont actually know of any more but you sort of get what im getting at. This will improve RP and immersion in the game so i hope to see something like it in game. Thank you for looking and if you have any further ideas about it just post, Herzog

1 pointWouldn't it be cool to able to pass by a city basketball court and play a 1 on 1 or maybe host a slam dunk contest ,freestyle and tournaments on urban basketball courts, what about visiting a Gym and learning how to box and go on a boxing career as an athlete or just go backyard street fighting for money what do you think about going to the beach and find a cool surfing competition while you enjoy a great beach party.? or how about heading to the snow mountains and renting or buying yourself a snowboard with all the equipments and just having fun with friends going up and down the mountain or chilling at the top drinking some hot coco while you watch the snowboard freestyle competition LIVE! what do you think about walking around the city and finding some cool people doing tricks in a skate park doing crazy flips on their skateboard, bikes, roller blades and been able to tune them. i'm going more extreme now after looking at the leaked map, what about being able to buy a motocross or atv and fulfill your extreme sports career like doing offroad races , becoming the king of the mountain, going extremely fast thro the forest... just some good ideas for the developers.!
