2 pointsHi dear people of Identity! I stumbled on the game watching a video about upcoming rpg games It already fascinates me! I haven't bought any packages but I'm very curious what the devs will do with the game and kind of people will play it. Since I'm a full blood roleplayer (Pen&Paper, Larp, etc), I'm curious especially about the roleplaying aspect of Identity and how future game mechanics will support it. Until then, I'll watch the progress carefully and maybe even find some people here to make plans for a wonderful community ingame. :3

2 points1. I will start as a luxury taxi driver as I will start off with a nice car, to earn a bit of money to start my public transport business off. 2. My characters primary role will be driving my bus as public, cheap and affordable transportation. 3. Once I have enough money, I will own a lot of assets for transportation and also other private services like limo's, and such. He may further change his career into law enforcement. 4. Grow my business and get good connections between business'. 5. Make travelling easy and also getting rich.
-
2 points1. In a patrol car until they get a promotion to something else than just a patrol officer, and in their free time, probably managing their many businesses. 2. At first, maintaining order on the streets and such, later on comes greater things. 3. Owning small businesses at first, hopefully huge ones later on, maybe a nightclub? 4. Enjoy the ride to great goals. 5. Make everyone's life around them at least a bit more enjoyable, get a good position in the PD, and get rich!

2 pointsServer won't be hosted by Asylum Entertainment more likely by companys like Nitrado, ZAP-Hosting, etc. The price will change depending on how many slots you want. I guess it will be around the same prizes that you pay for a ArmA 3 game server: 7$ = 10 Slots up to 120$ = 200 Slots *Keep in mind that this is only speculations because they haven't talked about that topic yet (At least I haven't found it)* -Noe Rock

2 pointsYou didn't search when you posted that 18+ post because that has all been mentioned on here before. So take your own advice.

1 pointHey I am Austin, founder of a new gang called Evo Corp. Suits, Yachts, Illegal things, and other items I am not at liberty to say is what I will be dealing with. To be part of my newly found corporation gang send me a private message. Accepting: roleplayers, non-roleplayers, ex convicts, everyone. Those with good leadership skills will be LEADERS in my organized crime section. Those who can design will be enrolled in marketing and selling for our legal and not so legal goods. Smart people will be leaders of our operations. For more details on how to join please PM me at anytime and I will try to get back with you. Not everyone can build a gang, but you can always be in a tightly knit organized group such as this one. Join me to become one of the biggest syndicates of Identity!

1 pointWhat shall be one's objectives within the game? Question: 1. Where shall your character be spending the majority of it's time within? (Library, cinema, cafe, road, apartment etc...) 2. What shall be your character's primary role within society? 3. What shall be your character's secondary role(s) within society? 4. What appears to be a few short-term goals for one's character? 5. What is one's MAIN life-long goal within the game? Answers: 1. During my character's recreational time, it shall be located within the library in order to analyze the literature of it's fellow citizens. Otherwise, it shall be producing propaganda for it's political party in the future. Finally, it shall produce an extensive amount of political literature regarding the political party's goals and objectives. During my character's non-recreational time, it shall attempt to accumulate wealth as a "transporter/taxi" service during the beginning of the game considering that the character shall possess access to a vehicle. Otherwise, it shall fulfill it's role within society (question 2) 2. Industrial, agricultural, and personal espionage agent that extracts intelligence or information from his client's targeted subjects. Thus, the character shall be expected to infiltrate certain companies, political parties, or individual's lives as either an employee, staff member of the party, or "friend". After completing an extensive amount of objectives as an espionage agent, the character shall retire in order to function as a writer and politician. 3. Secondary roles may include functioning as a "transporter/taxi" driver, propaganda agent, writer, short-term employee for other companies through a contract agreement, and numerous other tasks that may accumulate profit for the political party's campaign. 4. Accumulate profit as a taxi driver/transporter, temporary employee of numerous companies, and influential writer. In the process, it would be decent to attain recognition and reputation from other players in order to support the character's political campaign in the future. 5. In all honesty, the character intends to form a Communist revolution by forming a "covert" agency of mobsters, lawyers, and espionage agents while functioning as an "overt" member of "The People's Revolutionary Party". The mobsters are expected to accumulate wealth for the political party's campaign in exchange for "benefits" within the organization. In the process, the Lawyers are expected to protect the interests of the political party AND it's "covert" mobsters and espionage agents. Finally, the espionage agents are expected to collect intelligence on the public, opposing mobsters, and opposing political parties. The main objective involves remaining as the dominant political party within the server. How about you?

1 pointIn the university environment you can maybe set up a class to teach but this is not a mechanic which gets you paid but more a extra RP aspect of the game; however you can always ask for money on entry.

1 pointWell i mean too like while playing it updates the game slowly and slowly with news features. And i mean with update too like when the second module is out you can use the first module too how i understood it from motown.
-
1 pointI will have cabinet positions if at all possible if that's what you mean? Since the game isn't out yet we won't know for sure though. I will also have district reps, see my campaign.
-
1 pointSpoken like a true politician, talking like you will do more good than harm. A lot of bad politicians talked like that in the beginning. We don't know that for certain Prez.
-
1 point1. Where shall your character be spending the majority of it's time within? Same as @KarMagick: In a Patrol Car 2. What shall be your character's primary role within society? A Police Officer that is liked by the Citizen and always willing to help. 3. What shall be your character's secondary role(s) within society? *No secound role*4. What appears to be a few short-term goals for one's character? +Become a Seargent +Get a house +Get a pet (Dog or Cat) 5. What is one's MAIN life-long goal within the game? Being a Police Officer (Sorry if this isn't really interesting but it is just my life goal to be a police officer Reallife and In-game) -Noe Rock
-
1 pointWell I guessed that it will be like ArmA prices simply because this is what they came from. But it is good that they're saying it will be affordable. -Noe Rock
-
1 pointThat I am... Although she's tired and will be replaced soon. The previous company didn't take care of her that well.
-
1 pointShall owners of a corporation possess the ability to alternative between the production of it's commodities and services? For example, is a "transporter/taxi" company capable of converting it's corporation into a "Vehicle towing business" or "Furniture store"? It would be unfair for entities to remain entrapped with one specified role within society considering that company's are easily capable of altering their services, commodities, and target market based on the demand for the product or service.
-
1 pointI am not sure that I can answer but there probably something to make people commit to their job/ task or the person can be/ get fired. There is a lot f talk about getting that sort of information about ones characters past and well I have not got a clue if there is a way for it. @HairyGrenade May know something though. Also this is a question not a introduction and so would be great if next time it be posted in the correct section.
-
1 pointPretty much, everyone is innocent until proven guilty Police will not be able to arrest anyone that is not wanted for a crime (in identity) and also a suspect can be detained for minimum of 24 hours without being charged while police find the evidence to incarcerate them.
-
1 pointI don't know where / how you even got the info about that system judging people on things like that. There system is more like Noe said in my opinion. and well the karma system sounds like there system but explained differently.
-
1 pointI will not rule the server, I want to have democracy styled government emplaced! As far as the death penalty goes, when someone dies your right they don't lose anything, but I plan to make where if you choose the death penalty it takes all your funds away! I think it's a good way to keep people from murdering each other!

1 pointAt times when Identity crosses my mind while I'm thinking one of the things I brainstorm in my head is, "What if I started a book club?" To some people this may sound absolutely ridiculous. "Oh my gosh, Fanature that's such a dumb and child thing to do!" It's just a thought that crossed my mind. Of course as mentioned in many videos, forums, posts, etc, there are going to be libraries in Identity. That means player written books, maybe even pre-made. As players within a huge expansive world I thought it would be really cute if someone/a player would make a book club, where a group of friends would meet together in the library or a player home and just read and discuss. I just thought I would present this cute roleplay idea Does anyone have any ideas they'd like to discuss that are roleplay related?
-
1 pointCan you tell me or give me a link so I can know how the policy system works? If you are elected, will you rule the server? and Why is there a death penalty? All the players chose death since they would not lose anything and thus escape from being 6 weeks imprisoned.
-
1 pointWhen I first heard they actually liked GTA IV's driving and want it to be similar I got really hyped. It's the one thing I look forward to the most!
-
1 pointI doubt the politics career will work like that. And to be honest, I think that's a good thing. What if a governor became corrupted? We don't know if there will be a corruption prevention system for the politics career like there will be for the law enforcement career. We as players deserve the right to inspect every politician in the game and choose whether they have the right to lead us. You are starting to sound power hungry Prez.
-
1 pointDevs said they suspect it to with no delays Definitely not confirmed
-
1 pointThey said that they will keep it affordable when I asked.

1 pointI think this is pretty simular to the Stress System they talked about. It also prevents people from RDMing so I don't see a need for this. Here is the Q&A Video were they talked about it: -Noe Rock
-
1 pointYes, it will be playable. First of all guns will not be easily obtainable as they will be expensive and assault rifles are rare and even harder to get. No Explosives in the game which means no need to worry about those RPG's. There will be a system to stop people going and gunning down every player they see. (Official servers) The system can be controlled for private servers.

1 pointi dont think its possible to put a program like blender in a game, and even if it was possible, there would be no point to it, if you want to rig and animate models or model them, then you do them on their suited programs like a normal person does, this is stupid if its going to determine whether you by the game or not. Looks like you wont be buying the game anyway. pce.
-
1 pointWhat would a scientist even do in the context of the game? Like specifically. What would your core gameplay loop be?
-
1 pointYep, convience stores are totally possible. I currently have plans to run a supermarket once in game, which I'm PRETTY sure is confirmed.

1 pointPlayers get an extra boost from it. Some drugs lower your adrenaline level, and maybe (this is just my imagination) you will run faster from certain drugs, etc. etc. So basically it just gives you an extra bonus

1 pointthis is my field and where i want to spend most of my time when RPing on IDENTITY so my ideas are that everyone that gets arrested should be fingerprinted and that data comes in handy when a crime has been commited eg. 1.load a gun or handle one without gloves ,prints are on the gun or shell casing and once scanned the perpetrator(s) name comes up 2. if there could be a DNA so if the criminal is trying to get a quick change of clothees and leaves the unwanted clothes behind hair fibres could be retrived and scanned and we get our perp. 3.vehicles used for a quick getaway can leave tire tracks behind that could determin what kind of car/bike was used wheather it be offroad, street vehicle etc. i got lots more iedeas towards this topic and i would love to share them with this community....dont be harsh! f.b.i
-
1 pointI don't think they would add spaceships, mostly because they want to focus on more things necessary in the game, and I think spaceships would kind of be an extra thing. They also don't plan on adding air crafts into the game, so as to not break immersion, so that's another reason why they will most likely not add space ships. However, if you're looking for a space game, I think Star Citizen would probably be the best option. I haven't heard a lot on the game, but I do know the game is all about space so maybe you can check it out!
-
1 pointI don't think there will be a career option for that, I think if you wanted to teach people how to survive it would be more of just a roleplay aspect. If you wanted too I guess you could always just charge people for teaching them , but I don't think there will be an actual career for survivalists ingrained into the game. You can be a park ranger ,though, so that might be the closest thing to a survivalist career, however, that is listed under the law enforcement career! You could try asking the devs through their twitter if you want a more definite answer!

1 pointI propose that the prison time be greater, cause firing at police is unacceptable. But the hospital can be the host for those that got injured by hunting animals or transit accident, or victim of crimes or something else.

1 pointThanks for the clarification TheoGT! Funding for basic emergency services, such as police and fire will be primarily through taxation. I have yet to determine the percentage of taxes by income and how they will be distributed. I am in contact with the police officers over at the Precinct and I will be taking into account their opinions about what they think is a sufficient amount of funding to be able to operate a successful police force. Other policies like the ones you mentioned are dependent upon how much of it is already established in-game. My hope is that the government will be able to have control over a vast majority of policies and laws. If so, speed limits will be standard, and other essential laws will be in-place and enforced. Police officers will have the authority to enforce the law to it's fullest extent and punish those who are not following the law. There will be no place for abuse of power, police brutality, corrupt officers, or any of the such under my office. I will have strict policies and procedures to prevent such events from occurring. I would also love to have open communication with citizens if they have an experience with the police that they think should have been handled differently. Police actions such as tasers and the use of force will be set and monitored under a strict set of guidelines and laws. Police officers may find themselves in difficult situations where they must choose between using force and not. My goal is that through training and experience these officers make the best decision possible, even in the worst of situations. Specifically, to answer your question, tasers will only be used under these circumstances: 1) The individual is detained. 2) The individual is resisting arrest 3) The individual poses a direct threat to the arresting officer (has a weapon, is charging at the officer, etc) I hope I have answered your questions sufficiently. As always, please ask me for any clarifications or new questions. All the best, Bobby Cruz

1 pointAnd this job would benefit what in game? It's a bit of a useless job if it doesn't lead to anything.

1 pointThere is one gang here, Men Of Mayhem, where if you're lady you have little options. I just find it awkward when in the description it says "We are a band of brothers" or "Call other members brother" because I'm clearly a sis.

1 pointI would like to RP an average middle aged bike enthusiast who slowly but surly begins to lead a life of crime smuggling weapons across the island and later creating a motorcycle gang. Or i would like to RP as a trucker who just spends his time driving, sleeping at motels and getting into fights at bars. Or, i know it sounds rather stupid or boring, i would like to just RP my whole time on the college campus. I like the idea of being a student at the uni and it is a great place to just soak in RP from others. It would be fun to RP a reckless teen as he battles through Uni.

1 pointI plan to roleplay sort of like myself, since that would be really easy. I would try to stay out of most crime activity as best as i can. Probably just try to find a good job that I would enjoy, hang out in social areas and... whatever else comes up.
