4 pointsThe Drayton Syndicate The Drayton Syndicate is an organisation specialising in the manufacturing and trafficking of illicit drugs. The group is led by Vince “Freeze” Drayton and his younger brother Lamar “Breezy” Drayton, and is mainly made up of young African-American men. In addition to drug trafficking, the syndicate is involved in murder, intimidation, and money laundering. Organisational Structure Much like a mafia family, the Drayton Syndicate is ruled by a single boss, with the help of a second-in-command, who advises the boss and assists in the day-to-day operations of the organisation. Cooks work in stash-houses, manufacturing and preparing drugs for sale. Hoppers or slingers deal drugs on the street under the supervision of a crew chief. All members of the organisation work as soldiers, taking orders to kill rivals and carry out wetwork when necessary. History The Drayton brothers first got involved in drug trafficking when Vincent took a job working for legendary Roseport drug trafficker "Big Rick" Staffield. Vince quickly worked his way up the ranks of the Staffield Syndicate, eventually becoming Rick’s chief enforcer and lieutenant. Vince earned the nickname "Freeze", on account of his cold-hearted and ruthless attitude in dealing with anybody who threatened his or Rick’s power. When he was of age, Lamar began working as a soldier under Vince, and quickly proved himself a competent enforcer. Staffield began to worry that the Drayton brothers were too ambitious and powerful, and so decided to have them killed. "Big Rick" knew that the two were extremely dangerous enforcers, and so had his nephew "Slim Bobby" Staffield throw a pipe-bomb into their apartment. Lamar’s girlfriend was killed, but both Vince and Lamar survived. The brothers promptly went into hiding and began plotting to strike back at their former mentor. About three weeks after the attempt on Vince and Lamar’s lives, the torso of “Slim Bobby” was discovered, headless and without any limbs in the dumpster behind “Big Rick’s” pawn shop. By the time the week was out, “Big Rick” Staffield had fled town, and the Staffield Syndicate was defunct. With the path clear, the brothers established their own organisation - the fearsome Drayton Syndicate. Joining the Syndicate There are a few ways to join the Drayton Syndicate. Firstly, you can simply send a message to myself here on the forums explaining why you think you should be accepted into the organisation. Secondly, if you run into us in RP and prove your competence, we will likely offer you a job. Although dedicated career criminals will feel more than at home in the syndicate, there is money to be made by part-time hoppers who simply want to get some cash in their pockets. In Closing It is important to remember that the Drayton Syndicate is not about gangbanging or thugging. While we bear certain similarities with the Crips, or Bloods (for example), the organisation is more akin to a mafia family than anything else. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or in a private message. As of right now, the organisation has between 10 and 14 active members. If you're up to make cash, reach out and we'll talk. Until next time, It's all in the game, yo.

4 pointsMuch more organized than the smaller sized / lesser known gangs on here. Much respect.
-
3 pointsThis thread should be moved to Hideout due to the fact that is so much more than a simple recruitment thread! The detail alone is great, and the structure looks so professional. Great work!
-
2 pointsI don't think there will be a career option for that, I think if you wanted to teach people how to survive it would be more of just a roleplay aspect. If you wanted too I guess you could always just charge people for teaching them , but I don't think there will be an actual career for survivalists ingrained into the game. You can be a park ranger ,though, so that might be the closest thing to a survivalist career, however, that is listed under the law enforcement career! You could try asking the devs through their twitter if you want a more definite answer!

2 pointsFAQ Extended - Please use or Search Ok, so the answer is on the FAQ extended post but I will answer here too, but please read that post as it is useful to new players. Identity (Full Game) is not coming out before April, however a standalone part of it (Module 1) is coming before April. 2 other modules will follow this year and then Beta will be early 2018 if no delays and no problems occur. The Full Game should arrive around Q2 - Q3 of 2018 but this is not official.

2 pointsHow would this be done, if the age Rating is 18 for the game!!! That means all accounts should be verified as adults. No full nude and also the models don't even have genitals. Also my opinion with this is that I am not against it, but if they added such things there would likely be a loading screen and well that breaks immersion so I don't want it at all if it has something like that.
-
2 pointsExactly! Glad to hear the forum is having a makeover. You nailed the needs on this regard, in my opinion.
-
2 pointsI think I read somewhere that the devs are going to do a makeover of the forums, so maybe they will address the issues regarding the search bar when they make some changes! Or perhaps, after a new player makes an account on the forum, it alerts them and tells them to "Use the search bar before posting", so they're aware that there is a search bar! ^.^
-
2 pointsEven if this thread may or may not be considered as bad as the other, OP has a point. There is fact behind it: Newbies don't read before posting and they don't use the search bar. You can't teach those who have not yet discovered the forum, so obviously this will keep happening. Maybe it's about time to make some self assessment. Maybe it's not newbies fault. Maybe the instructions are not clear enough, maybe the search bar is not that visible for a first timer. I think I'm going to suggest something in the appropriate forum.

1 pointIve seen alot of ppl asking for minimum requirements...Im just trying to be helpful, as i had this problem for the last 2 weeks. So if this isnt helpful, plz accept my apologies. They havent released minimum specs yet, as far as Ive seen. This build will be able, if you can afford blowing $2800+ on a gaming rig, to handle anything that Identity can throw at you including VR & 4k. From what I've been told, Im future proof for atleast 5 years "supposedly", hopefully thats true cause I dont know. Monitor: Samsung (UE590) UHD 4k 1ms response AMD FreeSync Main Tower Components: CPU: Intel i7-7700k Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Superclocked Gaming ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5X, LED, DX12 OSD support Hard Drive: Seagate Constellation 2TB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s 7200Rpm 64MB Solid State Drive: SanDisk+ 480GB SSD DDR4 Memory: Viper Elite Series DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 2400MHz kit Mobo: ASUS TUF Z270 Mark 2 LGA1151 DDR4 HDMI DVI M.2 USB 3.1 Z270 ATX Power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 B2, 80+ Bronze 850W Semi Modular Tower: Corsair Crystal Series 460X-Tempered Glass Compact ATX Mid-Tower Case. At this point I was around $1500 or so, not including monitor($399 at Best Buy). Obviously this is not the best or worst build, I'm sure there's room to wiggle lower end, cheaper components. And still handle Identity. And we all know theres Lots of room for improvement on this rig. Now on to some added accessories and other goodies. Basic Needs: Keyboard: Razer DeathStalker Chroma- Multi-Color RGB Membrane Gaming KB Mouse: Razer Naga Chroma Speakers: Logitech Z313 Speaker System Custom looks parts: Cooler Master hyper 212 LED CPU Cooler with PMW fan, 4-Direct Contact Heat Pipes, Unique Blade Design, Red LED's Thermaltake Riing 12 RGB LED 120mm Adjustable Color Case Radiator Fan, Triple Pack eTopxizu Computer RGB LED light Strip w/remote control Xbox 1Wireless controller w/wireless adapter for Windows 10. All said and done i spent 2405.77 on the PC and an extra $400 for the 4k Monitor. I hope this helps anyone that might need a refrence point to go off of...

1 pointWhat would you think of implementing a journalism system for anyone who wants to be a journalist. There is a channel on the TV that you can watch live what the journalist is recording. It would be incredibly fun hehe
-
1 pointThe camera object would be too heavy on the network as it is a very heavy network object and so they won't add that unless they figure out around the problem. You can be a journalist but it is more you are writing and submitting stuff on a newspaper!
-
1 pointYou will be knocked out until a paramedic revives you or you just respawn at a last bind location. People will be able to loot your body as you are knocked out, and can only not take your phone and clothes.
-
1 pointYou should stop replying to things because that seems to be the argument starter when you reply to someone like @Kickapoo. If you are the adult, you will not respond to that crap and ignore it! Replying to that stuff don't help, it just makes it worse. Also you replying escalates the situation which is breaking the rules. And @Kickapoo I know you know you reply with good intentions mostly but when someone says stuff like the above, you should maybe end it there by not replying either. @HairyGrenade

1 pointKeep your eye on the Dev's twitter for the most frequent and first updates on Identity's progress. And yes, the progress bar is updated manually.
-
1 pointYou'e pretty much got that spot on there!
-
1 pointIt's the internet buddy, these miserable trolls need to feel relevant somewhere. And quite frankly no one in real life probably cares about them.

1 pointThe place i found most helpful with building my rig was Xidax, I didnt get it from them this time, only because i couldnt get a better tower case for what i could spend. Their exotic liquid cooled towers, which is what i wanted, were upwards of 3&4k, but i had been struggling to build a rig cause i had NO IDEA what i was looking for. I roamed from different custom sites for about 2 weeks. I went on Xidax and the guy msgd me, and asked if i needed help. Then called me, talked with me for 2 hours, explaining everything to me, that i would need for what i wanted to do...They have a lifetime parts/labor policy, so if my streaming career takes off i plan on getting a high end rig from Xidax

1 pointThis suggestion comes from this thread. There's obviously something that can be improved about the search bar when so many newbies come repeating the same questions, and creating tutorials or blaming them makes no difference. By the time the newbie realizes, he's no newbie any more. Solutions or at least improvements may be: - On the first post of a user, a message should encourage to read and use the search bar. - Make the search bar visible. That is, really visible. Why not flashing? Thanks @Hatoful
-
1 pointYes you can go on my account and block me from there, and also President is a rank that can be achieved by all. Not often do we get newbies who contribute nothing but whiney little bitchedness to the forums and complain because they can't all ask when the release date is 10,000 times without frustrating the regulars.
-
1 pointNope it's the fact that we have to answer the same damn questions over and over again because new members can't be bothered just looking for even a second first. The answers are all there, and easy to find. You as a newbie cannot relate to this obviously.

1 pointI just bought my new rig, i went for an i7-7700k @4.2 GHz , EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC Gaming ACX 3.0 8GB GDDR5X, Viper Elite DDR4 16GB 2400MHz, SeaGate 2TB SATA 3.0Gb/s 7200Rpm 64 MB Hard Drive, SanDisk+ 480GB SSD, ASUS TUF Z270 Mark 2 LGA1151 DDR4 mobo, EVGA SuperNOVA 850 B2 80+ Bronze 850W Semi modular power supply, and a Samsung 4k UHD Monitor, with 1ms response, AMD FreeSync. This is my 1st PC. EXCITED... doesnt even cover it! I'm so amped! I have never really gotten into PC and for me to go and buy a gaming rig (was NOT cheap lol) just because i want to be a part of Identity, shows how great Identity can potentially be. Thanks for all your help, and advice about getting my own pc
-
1 pointI tried finding out what would be needed for minimum requirements. As they are not ready to set it in stone, And I needed to make a move cause I NEED to be a part of Identity. So i went for optimal and will have no problems what so ever when it releases now, I cant tell u what the lowest graphics card is, that will still run Identity smoothly. But i can tell u that, this will more than suffice your gaming needs. Intel i7-7700k@4.2GHz, EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC 8GB GDDR5X, SeaGate Constellation 2TB 3.0Gb/s 7200Rpm 64 MB Hard drive, Viper Elite DDR4 16GB 2400 MHz, SanDisk+ 480 GB SSD, Im sure thats overkill for this experience, that will be Identity, but as i couldnt find the minimum requirements I went the other direction. And since I had to have someone hold my hand as i explained what i want to do, and they told me what Id need to do it. It shouldnt be such a process for u, like it was for me
-
1 pointYeah but that's a sims thing and they roll around like rabid dogs on crack. Not really something that would do well in a more realistic game.

1 pointWow...well to answer your question anyway, Not right now, it will be PC only, they hope to explore consoles in the future if the situation permits. I would think though, that as much as they want Identity to be, it would really have to be dumbed down to be put on console. But i dont know that for sure. Im just speculating
-
1 pointI am kinda curious as to how they are gonna come at this driving system as well. I've heard there's no bullet proof tires, you will need a license if you want to drive...legally. Car damage will be more realistic. And for the added immersion, you will be able to do things like use blinkers and even put on your seat belt, and change flat tires. I think the driving will be fine because its a different world, than GTA, with so much more to do. I mean the real world has ppl that get into trouble because they hate speed limits. Thats why there will be a racing aspect of identity, where the speed demons can go feed their ride some speed without getting into trouble. Im curious about the world as far as damage by cars. Will a police chase be able to end with a car goin off into the woods and taking out trees(not the disappearing kinda either;) ) Or maybe even some buildings, I can't imagine you'd let ppl crash into others homes and aptartments. Unless theres insurance and we can sue. But invisible walls every where will take away from the immersion. I can also imagine it will vary depending on whether ur on offical and unofficial servers. Fingers crossed it will be everything they hope to make it. Im taking a pretty big gamble that it will be
-
1 pointI can answer question 3 and question 5. 3. You can live in the woods, chop down trees and stuff, but you can't build buildings. You can get a camper van to live in though. You can hunt animals, chop trees for firewood, cook and eat the animals to survive. You can play identity as a survival game. 5.Pets can only stay in your house for now, but the game will get updated eventually to allow pets to go outside your house, so at launch you can't have a hunting dog, but maybe later. I hope I helped.

1 pointNo need to be rude,I just found out about this game. I have different opinion's/perspectives and I'm entitled to them. Please refrain from commenting back on my thread, you're being rude and that's not tolerated by me.
-
1 pointThat's pretty awesome! Although I won't be a criminal (at least not in the beginning) I would still love to see the street art players come up with. I did watch the video where the developers create a little painting. I hope more advanced painting tools will become available, like in Microsoft Paint.

1 pointthere will be strip clubs from what I've read. no sex though. but maybe they can roleplay sex without the actual animations then just pay them. there will be ways around most limitations I bet, mostly through the magic of roleplay.
-
1 pointThat's what I was thinking. I plan on being a graffiti writer myself in Identity, and I think having illegal spots to paint would make my Identity-life just a bit more interesting.
-
1 pointYou'll need to contact Sean/Motown here on the forums. If we are able it'll likely be delayed as we're both going to be in San Francisco at GDC.
-
1 pointOkey, it had better driving than most games and how fast did you speed round the corner? Also how sharp was the corner turn? As I know for a fact you must have been going fast to do that. but if you do flip in identity you won't be driving off like the GTA games.
-
1 pointWhat you mean oh...no? GTA 4 had good driving/ handling. Realistic enough for me unlike the arcade GTA V.
-
1 pointWell it's a pc exclusive and devs will think about looking into console porting after full game release in the future. On the side note please search before posting as this is probably the most answered and asked question.
-
1 pointWe'll support a bunch of VR systems. In fact it's getting it's finishing touches coded up behind me right now.

1 pointFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) 1. How are Kickstarter backers different from website backers? There is only one difference between backer rewards for the Kickstarter and website. Kickstarter backers will receive a unique in-game hat with the Kickstarter logo. Website backers receive a hat with the Identity logo. No new content in the future will ever display either of these logos. 2. Many people are confused on what the game is about. Would you mind telling us what your vision for the game is? Is the game more about Cops vs Robbers, or a balance between all the available paths? Identity is a cops and robbers game at heart, but it is a life simulator in so many other ways. We’re catering to role-play in a way that is possibly the first of its kind. Players have the freedom to pursue careers that will impact the player economy in their own unique way. Become a taxi driver, deliver goods to player-owned businesses, fight fires, save lives, argue a case in criminal court, or just hold out your hand and beg for money. Find, or steal your ‘identity’! 3. What can you tell us about the world? World size? Player limit? We anticipate that the playable world size will be 200 square kilometers, or 77 square miles in comparison. This means that the whole map is 14 km wide, and would take about an hour and a half to walk across. We hope to support up to 300 players (or more!) per server. 4. Can you expand on the professions? We know there will be cops, but what types of jobs will be available for civilians? Will they be able to create their own businesses? Create their own items? etc. Also, Medics and Firefighters? Players can choose from a wide range of professions, including the ability to become a Firefighter, EMT, Taxi Driver, Farmer, Bounty Hunter, Fisherman, Logger, Miner, Delivery Driver and even a business entrepreneur. The options available to you as a player get more specific than this even, but we aren’t yet ready to expand on the full list. The direction of development is prone to change, and we don’t want to promise anything that might change down the pipeline. Business ownership allows players to own factories and small business, giving them control over what items are manufactured and sold. Items created by a factory must be delivered to their destination city where store owners in that area can decide what quantity and type (formal wear, casual, punk outfits, weapons, etc.) they wish to list in their business. Some default items are always available in all stores for when market demand is not met. 5. How will death be handled? When a player dies, some items such as the money the player is carrying at that time, will be dropped on the ground and will become accessible to anyone in the area that wishes to take it. Clothing items will never be dropped. We have decided that a player’s character appearance in a social game like Identity is important. You will always look the way you decide your character to look. If the player is not resusitated by an EMT or teammate, the player is then prompted to respawn at the location of their last sync (house, apartment, city) Private servers have some control over what types of items players will drop on death, if any at all. 6. Can you expand on how the housing system will work? Size and availability of apartments and houses? Players can choose to own or rent housing in Identity, while apartments can also be shared with a friend or roommate depending on the size of the property. For instance, two friends, or a married couple can choose to purchase a 2 bedroom apartment where they both can live comfortably with each other. Apartments and houses are fully customizable, allowing players to place furniture and objects anywhere in the room. Home-owners can invite other players into their apartment or house at any time. Players cannot access another players home without an invitation. 7. Will there be any specific safe areas where people can go AFK or sit and socialize without being killed or robbed? There are safe zones within certain types of buildings in Identity. Metal detectors serve to preserve immersion, and will temporarily remove any weapons upon entry, allowing all players in the area to safely relax, socialize and meet new friends. These safe zones are known to us as “Sub-Hubs” or social gathering points that reflect on the lifestyle theme of their environment (Biker Bar, Business club, Bum alley, etc.). While many of these areas can only be accessed by law-abiding citizens, some Sub-Hubs are neutral and can be entered by any player on the map. Few areas are designated gathering points for active criminals looking for the right crime of opportunity, or new friends to help them plan their next heist. 8. How will player identification work in game? Will names appear above players heads? If so, at what distances will they be seen? As our design stands right now, the official servers do display names over heads within certain ranges. Some things like masks and balaclavas can affect this. Moreover, private servers have an option where they can hide names from all players unless greeted. By this I mean you won’t see the name over another player until they perform an emote action, after which you’ll always see their name.
