hello community! today i'll tell you how to search properly for topics. 1. step the marked field in the right corner is the searching field. i've marked it red. 2. step when clicking the search field a "All Content" button will appear. if you click it you'll see 4 options: -All Content (shows you everything) -Topics (this option allows you to search for topics containing the typed in words. we'll call them tags) -Members (allows you to search for members). -Advanced Search (shows you more options) now let's continue with this tutorial 3. step if you click on advanced options you'll get access to more restrictions for your search like showing posts that have been updated in the last 24 hours. but now let's start searching! 4. step if you search for something you should use the basic form of the tags. let's take an example: we're searching for topics about crafting. we'll use the search tag "craft" without "" because craft is the basic form of crafting. it works the same way with multiple tags like "craft weapon" without "" because the search shows you everything containing both tags. you'll see white marked words. they contain the tags you've searched for. under the searching field you'll see a sentence saying "+ More search options". clicking it will lead you to the already shown advanced options. and that's it!

I can't agree on you, there will be some text and private servers can most likely disable voice chat altogether! If you notice what is said right under your comment to the guy. I already told him the facts of what the game will contain and text chat will be there. It will be a very simple chat but they are not eliminating it altogether because they know there will be many people out there with no mic or just don't like using one. Voice communication will outway text yes but private servers will likely change that and could make it text only. Official servers will likely make government jobs voice only but that is not official or even known yet but possible for it to happen. The reason for voice communication to outway everything else is because If for instance I was pointing a gun at you and you were a cop, you have no mic and so have to call for backup. You have to type and typing will be slower than me shooting. You have t tell me to put the gun down before you can shoot. If you start typing you cannot shoot. e.g. immersion breaks because of a typer. I shoot and I am in the wind. They are possible scenarios which are heavily immersion breaking. If this guy wants to start a server which is text only, he will be able to but he has to find the bunch who like typing more than talking. Also because everyone in his server will type that means he could add rules to make sure immersion stays in one of those scenarios. I do not get how people like that type of RP, but I cannot judge. I personally think it is boring but if they like it and enjoy it then why should the game be made to stop it. Some people can type but don't speak. (A mute) and so typing can cater their needs too, so don't forget that the matter what people won't eliminate all types of communication.

What a crazy several weeks since the last dev blog post! The increased exposure and attention from the apartment video has resulted in a surge of additional funding for Identity, which has translated into an expanded team with two new full-time developers coming on board and more to join soon. Work has been going very well. Motown, your community manager, has started transitioning into the role of producer to help manage our expanding team. This has helped to reduce some of the work-load on myself so it's been a very welcome change and he's proving to be great for the role. Our lead character artist, Miroslav, has been hard at work on numerous enhancements including building our makeup and blemish systems. This will give us the freedom to add all kinds of makeup options, especially for females but also for men. Your options at character creation will be a bit limited, but a vanity table will let you customize your makeup much further. Blemishes allow us to modify the skin in a whole lot of ways, from just a little blush on the cheeks to full-body freckles and more. Miroslav has also done an excellent job expanding eye customization for your characters which won't just tint the color of the iris but change its entire pattern to properly match the styles seen in those eyes in reality. He's also expanded our options for hair and facial hair. Feature development has also been going quickly and smoothly. Among others, we've built the contacts and friends systems which will be available in the Town Square module. When you meet people in the world you'll be able to exchange contact information, adding their number and name to your phone. This then acts like a friends list in other games, but you can even text or phone them with real working voice systems. It's also integrated with your Steam friends to make finding them easier. Environment art is also moving along, with several artists working full-time to give you beautiful environments. We've hired on some more artists and are even reworking some of the earlier assets we produced to bring the up to our now higher standards. Identity YouTube channel PowerGaming7 had the chance to speak with myself and Motown for a while after asking his viewers for a bunch of questions to ask. The result was an almost one hour long video where we shared all sorts of information you may not have heard before. You can find the link to this video right here. Once again, I want to thank every one of you for your continued support! Every pledge that comes in goes straight into the development of new features and helps us get the game to you a little bit faster. The attention we've seen over the last couple of months has been staggering, and we are excited to show you more of the gameplay soon!

(Yes another forum game) The game is simple, type the above sentence with your eyes closed and after write a new sentence for the next person to type Rules: 1. Try to keep the sentences a decent length (4-10 words) 2. Don't use overly complex wording 3. You can write any sentence you wish, It doesn't have to be related to the previous one Your first sentence is: I'm hungry but there's no food

Hey fellow Law Enforcers With this topic I'd like to inform and assist you in understanding and creating a police department. It's important that departments are organised and have a structure to ensure officers are appointed to tasks and supervisors ensure tasks are completed. While rank structure is an important part of your department, it's also important to have a good divisional structure. Hopefully at the end of the text you're a bit wiser on how a police department works. We'll start of with Police Ranks. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Hierarchy Staff Officers Chief Of Police - In charge of the department and handles public relations with other departments aswell as controls internal procedures and protocolsDeputy Assistant Chief Of Police - In charge of the department when the Chief of Police is on absence Deputy Chief of Police - In charge of a large part of the department, known as an Office. Example: Office of Operations or Office of Counter Terrorism Command Officers Commander - In charge of a training within the department. Example: Sergeant In Training or Detective In Training Captain - In charge of a precinct or leads all patrols within a certain area and acts as a supervisor to supervisors. Lieutenant - In charge of a larger division and serves as city wide/ patrol wide supervisor. Supervisor Sergeant - In charge of smaller divisions or head of certain aspects within divisions. Alse the first contact point for basic officers Senior Lead Officer - A non commissioned officer who is in training to become either a supervisor or detective.. Investigator Detective In Charge - In charge of a investigation division and will handle day to day requests from lower ranked Detectives. Also in charge of casefiles. Detective - Basic detective who investigates crimes after they happened and observes organised crimes Senior Lead Officer - A non commissioned officer who is in training to become either a supervisor or detective. Non Commissioned Officers Police Officer III - Patrol officer who teaches the new officers the way around the department. Police Officer II - Basic Patrol officer who makes up most of the department. Police Officer I - Newly inducted Police Officers who are in their probationary stage and learn the way of the department. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Hierarcy With the previous mentioned hierarcy the base of your department should be filled. However it is always possible to adjust the ranks towards the need of your department. For example you can create a Senior Sergeant who would be a basic sergeant, but in training to become a Lieutenant. Another example is a Lieutenant I and Lieutenant II. Where the I would ensure larger divisions are kept under control the Lieutenant II would handle a precinct or multiple patrols. Ranks also work hand in had with your organisation. For example if you have 7 divisions it might be wise to have 7 lieutenants or a few lieutenants of the bigger divisions and sergeants of the smaller divisions. It's important to know your department, because some divisions will require more intense handeling than others. Warrants and searches require more knowledge of the penal code and law than a traffic division. For that reason it's better to have a Lieutenant handle the Investigation divisions and a Sergeant the Traffic Division. The higher the rank the more legal and situational knowledge a person must have. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Organization Chart _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Organization Know your department and its needs! It's very important to ensure your department has a wide arrangement of divisions people can join so their day to day tasks are never the same and never boring. A good structure is most needed in the department and every part of it has a person controlling it. Divisions by Sergeants, Large divisions by Lieutenants, Precincts by Captains, Offices by Deputy Chiefs and at the top the Chief of Police. The way a good structure works if that a basic officer will not have to complain to the Chief of Police. If he has a problem he should go to his appointed sergeant. If he can not solve it, the sergeant goes to his superior and so on. Because there are limited amounts of divisions in an Office there will be a good overview of them all. It's important that the division leader reports to the Office leader and the Office leader to the Chief of Police. Ensure to give your Deputy Chief of Police enough power to change his Office by only having to inform the Chief of Police with the changes. This way there is more control and better support for every division and they will know who too contact when there is a problem. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ GENERAL NOTICE: If you have comments or have questions about a certain aspect within the police department, you can always ask it here. I'll try to give a good answer to every question asked. Obviously if your question is important, it will also be added in the topic along with the explanation. If you have certain subjects to add aswell you can always PM me and it will be added into the topic along with credits too your name. This topic is aimed to give a detailed guide on how to make or understand a police department and hopefully the community works with eachother to give tips to other servers. Sorry for possible writing errors

I had an idea, for the player customisation when it comes to facial features have a feature that will scan your face with a webcam or have dimensions which can be changed to a precise "mm" so you can actully make your character look like you in real life! To make the game feel even more realistic! In other games when it came to customisation of the character it sucks because it usually messes up for the customisation is just terrible and the options are too complicated. Just had a thought! Thank you for reading (if you did)

Yes, but there is "Or Pay with debit/credit card" option below where you would login to Paypal.

I don't want anyone thinking I am apart of that team, because I do not deserve any of the credit they deserve and same as I am not a volunteer mod either and would not want someone to say I am something when it is not true. I gave the response of someone I asked. The response is on the other page. as you have already seen it from this is what you said in response, but this response is not appropriate because I didn't say it wouldn't happen but more that there is a possible chance. The person I spoke with was not certain as he does not deal with that sort of thing (Payments). but it could be that it will happen soon with changes and giving alternate payment methods before the pledges / prices of them change.

i sincerely apologize if I've caused offense, you're a very helpful community member no doubt about that, i've seen you on the forums a lot i just assumed you were close knit with devs is all

Same. I hate seeing this game compared to GTA because it's not even remotely similar. This game should be a community, and I think that's one of the most important concepts for its success. And right now I feel that the community part of it may be compromised.
  13. 1 point
that's what i want from this game, a mature community of people playing together and working with each other not hur der dur im gonna shoot you for the lulz, by all means shoot another player if they interfere with your motives and whatnot but don't be an asshole

I don't care if they play it. I care about their maturity when it comes time to be mature. I don't want an 11 year old gunning me down because I didn't like his ideas.

I'd say at least that much. But I'd bet under 5% of the funding actually comes from them. Not trying to be salty or anything.

I almost have a feeling that they have intentionally restricted the betas to PayPal only to prevent the entrance of minors. Good thing if you ask me.

You are correct that the game progress hasn't moved in a while however this is mainly down to the fact that the team working on the game are very small. Regarding informative podcasts, you can just search youtube or similar platforms as they will have all published content on there. Hope this helps.

From what I have gathered, if you buy the game on this website you get the game once it is released along with early access to the modules. Hope this helps. Plus the price will sky rocket once the first module is released so is best to buy it now. Joshua_Else

Thanks for the welcome! A variety really... I'm looking forward to the roleplaying particularly. Never played a RP game before, although I'm solidly excited to try, I just hope that most of the people role play as well so as to preserve immersion and my enjoyment, as role playing isn't fun if no one else does it, kind of loses the point. I hope to get a solid business up and running, investing in real estate as well and renting to other players if all goes as I plan. I eventually want to explore the criminal and police careers to see what they have to offer as well.

I believe that whatever you were watching was just an example of how it will work and it wouldn't make very much sense for only 30 minutes to be the max.

What does this have to do with being ignorant? Ignorance implies that we do not know something,. What is it that you think we don't know?

Dice el hombre publicando la misma cosa una y otra vez. No publicas tus pensamientos y lo que quieres hacer en la página de negocios de alguien. Eso es lo que es ignorante. Translation for our English speaking friends. Says the man posting the same thing over and over. You don't post your thoughts and what you want to do in somebody's business page. That's what is ignorant.

Yes I completely understand I did not mean that just because I want to be police officer makes me fit for the police department I worded that wrong I meant to say that many teenagers and younger players have knowledge of this. I completely agree on how every cop should have a microphone that should be a requirement because of your exact statement I completely agree.

I thought I heard that it is possible. Ah well, if it isn't I'll play one career and then eventually switch.

    1. You have to go and get a driving license by doing a quick test / tutorial to receive it but however if you don't do that then you can drive just that you will be given a fine or could be punished (prison sentence). 2. You also will have to pay a either monthly based car insurance or insurance fee like GTA, but more likely to be monthly. 3. Yes, you will have to go to a car mechanic to get your car fixed. (They can tow your car if not drivable). 4. You can be fined for not parking in an appropriate parking pot, speeding fines and going through red lights.

Yes, bank heists are a thing already in Identity. I've seen you post alot in this subforum, so I'll answer all your threads so far here - It won't be on consoles, due to still being early in development - "Detectives" - Yes, police are in the game, so are SWAT teams. No military due to keeping things realistic. All the guns are there, so you'll be able to roleplay terrorists and counter-terrorists. Yes, like CSGO - Fish will be in the game. So are land animals. - Marriage can be done through roleplay. All the needed resources are there. - Sex and children will NOT be in the game due to keeping the game fun and not get banned on Twitch. - Character models will show bullet wounds, but no dismemberment or gore so far. - There will be no NPC's in the game.

What do you mean? can you translate because Google translation don't make sense/ the point is cut short. ok, I will have to tell you; you need to search more instead of posting seriously but I will answer. If your asking what will happen to them. If you are holding a gun in your right hand and I shot your arm, you would drop your gun... If you get shot in the head you will obviously go unconscious / die from the wound and in that case you will either wait for a ambulance/ paramedic to arrive or you will respawn at a last bind location you had e.g. apartment/ where you spawned in when joining the server. If you get shot in the leg you will be restricted with movement e.g. limping and also will be slower at moving.

Violence don't also get games banned from social media. Violence also is said to help release violence from players. e.g. If I was angry and violent in-game it could cause me to become calm in real life. which will in-turn stop me being violent in real life.

For people who haven't RP'd, as the OP spoke of, I can see how one would think it would seem to break immersion. IMO, having voice only breaks immersion, since they're are no voice changing abilities in this game. For RP'ers, you can be anything and describe yourself and be that character you wish to be through writing it in text-based chat. With voice only, if I'm some big, burly dude and then I speak with some girly voice, THAT breaks immersion...completely. As an RP'er, I won't be RP'ing on this game unless they A) include voice changing (even if it would mean allowing MODS to do so) or B) having optional access to a text-based chat for the sole purpose of Roleplay.
