3 pointsHello everyone, I'm new to this game and I'm very excited to play it. Since all of you are contributing in the forum with suggestions, I would like to explain mine. I'm a car otaku, love to drive and modify cars the way I like. If this game is going to be "realistic" it definitely will need a complex vehicle section. --TYPES OF CARS Variety is the clue here. From new cars to old, from basic and simple cars to special models and one-of-a-kind. Micro-cars, small cars, sedans, sport cars, hyper cars, small and big vans, trucks, big rigs, etc. The more the better. Take a look at other games like Gran Turismo, there are more than 1000 different cars (although some of them are different versions of the same model), or GTA V with classes and diversity. Another important category is using different types and versions of the same model. For example, using the Ford Mustang that everybody knows, it's not the same a 1969 Mustang Boss 302 and a 2015 Mustang Ecoboost Convertible. Also, in the very same year there are lots of variants, taking the 1969 Mustang, there are the Base, Convertible, Mach 1, Boss 302, Boss 429, and special versions like the Super Cobra Jet. All with their own engine trims and transmissions. This apply to all the cars, another example, this time more complex with a Japanese car: the Nissan 180SX (know as 240SX in the USA and 200SX in Europe). A popular car among tuners and drifters all around the globe. As far as I know, Identity will be based on USA, so the local model will be the 240SX. The differences? Lots of them. Every region got a different engine and here comes the fuss. The original 180SX sold only in Japan started in 1989 with an engine called CA18DET, a 1.8 litter turbo. The model was called "Zenki ("early" in Japanese) by locals. It was sold from 1989 to 1990. From 1991 to 1995 the model got a facelift and an engine upgrade. The engine now was SR20DET, 2.0 liter with turbo. The car was called "Chuki" ("middle" by locals). Notice the visual and performance differences? The final form was in 1996 to 1998. The model got upgraded in visuals, called the Type X. The engine was the same with so little upgrades. The car was called Kouki ("late" in Japanese). The visuals were shocking different. Since that was a Japan-only sold car and we're in the USA, the car available would be the 240SX. Read the "Import" section to see how to get the 180SX. The 240SX was sold from 1989 to 1995 in the USA, using both the Zenki and Chuki models BUT both with different engines as the 180SX. Both used the KA24DE, a 2.4 litter engine, low-performance taken from a Nissan truck used in the States. Why? Don't ask me. A popular modification to the 240SX is to swap the engine with a SR20DET. In Europe, it was the same as in the USA but with the early-Japanese engine CA18DET. So here you got it, same model with different variations and engine. --IMPORT AND EXPORTING CARS The local cars are great, but don't you want that rare gem that was only sold in a certain country? Importing cars is a popular choice by automotive freaks to buy a cheaper or different cars as everybody else. In the USA, you can't import cars that were never sold here unless they are +25 years old. If you are up to trend in car news, you are aware of the Skyline GT-R R32 importing situation. The Skyline, a car that was never sold in the USA, now that has more than 25 years old you can freely import it and drive it. A forgiven fruit faster than a Porsche or a Ferrari from his era. Importing and exporting cars should be a business also. Local workshops bring into the States cars now legal from other countries like Japan or Europe, and at the same time they export local cars to those countries. It would be really cool if you could only buy these imported cars via those business. --MODIFICATION OPTIONS You have bought you desire car, it looks cool and bright. What do you do now? Tune it of course! So may options, styles, paints, wheels and stuff to convert your casual car into a one-of-a-kind. Let's start with the most common styles nowadays. -Tuner. Mostly used with Japanese cars. Build for performance but at the same time to look good. In a Japanese car, the more JDM the better. -Muscle car (drag racer, resto-mod,hot rod,...). In muscle cars, the most popular styles are the drag racer and the track racer, build for speed using just a few visual bits. Another style is the resto-mod, taking an old school musle car and modify it with the most modern and best parts available in the market. Really popular in the 2000's with heroes like Chip Foose. -Hot rods, rat rods, roadsters. Usually with 30's and 40's American cars, highly-modified from it's origins. Rat Rods are based on a more dirty and poor way. Also hot rods are very popular in drag racing series. -Drift cars. Looks very similar to tuner cars but more aggressive looking and modified for drifting. This style vary from practice cars to professional cars. Drifting was originated in Japan in the late 80's, consist in taking corners with your car sideways. Usually this style is only for fun purpose but in professional categories the winner is decided by a set of judges, judging style, speed and sideways angle. This style is NOT limited to just Japanese cars. -Race car, Time Attack, race-spec. Not just a race car, but a highly-modified car with just one purpose: fastest lap time. Visuals are not the most important aspect in this style, but aggressive looking and beautiful paint scheme are important too. -Bosozoku, Grachan, Kyusha, Japanese old school. The Bosozoku cars were originated in Japan in the 70's and consist in modify the car in a exaggerated style with colors, lights and big exhaust. The Kyusha evolved from Bosozoku, using a similar style but more focused on racing and performance. Note the evolution. -Stance, camber-gang, low-life, German style. Stance is a purely aesthetic style to look cool. Slamming your car to the ground to be the lowest. Very popular with European and Japanese cars. Usually the performance of the car has been left intact, or actually it has been worsened with the suspension geometry by having a crazy amount of camber in your wheels. There are still lots of different styles but these ones are the more popular and most important to start with. --RACE STYLES Now with your modified car you need a place to race with your friends. Where to start? -Street racing. Straight outta Fast & Furious. Street racing has been the most popular style for young people who has no money to go to a racetrack. Usually on sea ports, abandoned roads or mountain roads. Street racing embraces all kind of styles, from drag racing to touge to time trial. -Touge. Another kind of street racing but only in mountain roads. Racing downhill or uphill, or just freely drifting with your friends having a good time. Touge was originated in Japan and it's still very popular with young drifters. -Drag racing. The streets or the drag strip. 1/8 mile, a quarter mile or an entire mile. Racing from still to the finish line in a straight line. Very popular in the USA. -Time Attack. Originated as a cheap option to race in track. You race alone against the clock, and the one who gets the fastest lap time it's the winner. Nowadays it's a popular event and houses the fastest street modified cars. -Race spec. Race spec includes all the categories and races that happens in a race track. A group of cars, usually with similar performance, race side by side in a racetrack and the first one to complete all the laps it's the winner. These races start from basic-modified cars to official automakers race cars. -Drifting. Usually raced in small race tracks to save money. You don't race a drifting event, you just freely drift your car and have fun. In a judged drifting event, a set of judged set you a score based on style, speed and drift angle. I think those are the most popular race styles. Again, there are lots of styles left with different rules. Will update the post with more info in the upcoming days. Thanks!

2 points@Threat Same with all modules. They all will be out until beta releases e.g. town square will be still open when the racing module releases.

2 pointsI'll challenge them to play me in Guitar Hero 3. If I win you get out. If you win, you get a Slim Jim and a swift kick in the ass.

2 pointsOr possibly a law that in a suburban/urban environment it'll be totally illegal to discharge a weapon, and you'll have to call the police. . . Or risk getting a fine for weapon discharge in city limits. Then, out in the sticks, where there are less likely civilians around, no laws impeding such actions. EDIT: of course how this would work between Private/Public servers would be an interesting topic as well, would the Mayor have to make such decisions? Or would the People have to vote on such laws. . .
-
2 pointsI am neither of these things. Also, for future reference. Something like this goes down into the Off atopic section. This is where police post.
-
2 pointsHmmm.. Maybe a specific skill tree in crime to allow different ways to break in. You'd have to reach a certain amount of break ins before being able to succeed in a car jacking.

1 pointHello people of Identity. My name is Gene Smith and I'm running for Governor of The Island. I know that the game currently isn't out and nothing is set in stone but I wanted to set out my campaign. I've taken my time to carefully think about different answers for popular questions. What will you do about Property Taxes? What will you do about Gun Control? What will you do about regulating taxes? What are your thoughts about Health Care? What you can do for the working man, and what will you do about the crime? ------------ Property Taxes are Taxes you pay to keep your business running or your home from being taken away. Property taxes are unnecessary and unneeded. Property Taxes need to be removed completely and focusing on taxing other things. You should not have to pay for something you helped build just to live in fear of it being taken away. ----- Gun Control is something that everybody talks about when somebody gets shot. Well the hard truth is, guns don't kill people. People kill people. A person has to load the gun, aim the gun and pull the trigger. We don't need control on guns. We need control on the people who have the guns. If you have a criminal record and you have been known to kill you will have to run a background check before you're able to get your guns. ------ Regulating Taxes on working people will not only bring more jobs but also putting more people in those jobs. A person who makes 8$ an hour gets taxed 5%,10% and even 15% and sometimes even up to but not limited to 35%. You take a middle class man who works 10 hours a day and makes 10 dollars an hour. He gets taxed 15% for his week of pay. He takes home 425$ or somewhere around there. That money could be going towards his house payments. His food. His utilities or even buying clothes for his children. Regulating taxes is the number one thing we need to work on. I want to lower the tax rate to at least 3% to give the lower/middle class man or woman that extra incentive to work harder for those promotions. A happy worker is a hard worker. ------- Health Care is the most important thing. Canada-while their government isn't the best- they do have free health care. Free health care is the most important thing that we need to work on. While Canadians have to pay higher taxes for free health care we will not. Regulating taxes is what needs to happens. --------- The working man is the best type of man. A man who isn't afraid of trying to support his family and trying to make his household happy. The working man is the backbone of our community. I've seen plenty working men and woman that have started their own companies based on the fact to grow more and create more jobs. They make more money for our homes and government. I want to work on. Not taxing the working person not because they're special but because they deserve what they worked for. Why take that away? And crime is something that I will talk about later if necessary. Thank you for your time.

1 pointHey fellow Law Enforcers With this topic I'd like to inform and assist you in understanding and creating a police department. It's important that departments are organised and have a structure to ensure officers are appointed to tasks and supervisors ensure tasks are completed. While rank structure is an important part of your department, it's also important to have a good divisional structure. Hopefully at the end of the text you're a bit wiser on how a police department works. We'll start of with Police Ranks. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Hierarchy Staff Officers Chief Of Police - In charge of the department and handles public relations with other departments aswell as controls internal procedures and protocolsDeputy Assistant Chief Of Police - In charge of the department when the Chief of Police is on absence Deputy Chief of Police - In charge of a large part of the department, known as an Office. Example: Office of Operations or Office of Counter Terrorism Command Officers Commander - In charge of a training within the department. Example: Sergeant In Training or Detective In Training Captain - In charge of a precinct or leads all patrols within a certain area and acts as a supervisor to supervisors. Lieutenant - In charge of a larger division and serves as city wide/ patrol wide supervisor. Supervisor Sergeant - In charge of smaller divisions or head of certain aspects within divisions. Alse the first contact point for basic officers Senior Lead Officer - A non commissioned officer who is in training to become either a supervisor or detective.. Investigator Detective In Charge - In charge of a investigation division and will handle day to day requests from lower ranked Detectives. Also in charge of casefiles. Detective - Basic detective who investigates crimes after they happened and observes organised crimes Senior Lead Officer - A non commissioned officer who is in training to become either a supervisor or detective. Non Commissioned Officers Police Officer III - Patrol officer who teaches the new officers the way around the department. Police Officer II - Basic Patrol officer who makes up most of the department. Police Officer I - Newly inducted Police Officers who are in their probationary stage and learn the way of the department. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Hierarcy With the previous mentioned hierarcy the base of your department should be filled. However it is always possible to adjust the ranks towards the need of your department. For example you can create a Senior Sergeant who would be a basic sergeant, but in training to become a Lieutenant. Another example is a Lieutenant I and Lieutenant II. Where the I would ensure larger divisions are kept under control the Lieutenant II would handle a precinct or multiple patrols. Ranks also work hand in had with your organisation. For example if you have 7 divisions it might be wise to have 7 lieutenants or a few lieutenants of the bigger divisions and sergeants of the smaller divisions. It's important to know your department, because some divisions will require more intense handeling than others. Warrants and searches require more knowledge of the penal code and law than a traffic division. For that reason it's better to have a Lieutenant handle the Investigation divisions and a Sergeant the Traffic Division. The higher the rank the more legal and situational knowledge a person must have. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Organization Chart _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Organization Know your department and its needs! It's very important to ensure your department has a wide arrangement of divisions people can join so their day to day tasks are never the same and never boring. A good structure is most needed in the department and every part of it has a person controlling it. Divisions by Sergeants, Large divisions by Lieutenants, Precincts by Captains, Offices by Deputy Chiefs and at the top the Chief of Police. The way a good structure works if that a basic officer will not have to complain to the Chief of Police. If he has a problem he should go to his appointed sergeant. If he can not solve it, the sergeant goes to his superior and so on. Because there are limited amounts of divisions in an Office there will be a good overview of them all. It's important that the division leader reports to the Office leader and the Office leader to the Chief of Police. Ensure to give your Deputy Chief of Police enough power to change his Office by only having to inform the Chief of Police with the changes. This way there is more control and better support for every division and they will know who too contact when there is a problem. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ GENERAL NOTICE: If you have comments or have questions about a certain aspect within the police department, you can always ask it here. I'll try to give a good answer to every question asked. Obviously if your question is important, it will also be added in the topic along with the explanation. If you have certain subjects to add aswell you can always PM me and it will be added into the topic along with credits too your name. This topic is aimed to give a detailed guide on how to make or understand a police department and hopefully the community works with eachother to give tips to other servers. Sorry for possible writing errors

We hope to see you in the future, and remember, Calypso’s Farm: Freshness you Can Taste! (Calypso’s Farm is more along the lines of a small business, rather than a big corporation. Since there isn’t much information on farms, a lot of this is just speculation and is subject to change. ) Crops being Grown: Tomatoes Potatoes Wheat Cotton Strawberries Grapes Carrots Apples Oranges Plums Pears Peaches Blueberries Sugar cane Cocoa beans Animal Products (If in game): Milk Cheese Butter Wool Leather Eggs Beef Pork Chicken Silk Jobs: CEO: Owner of Calypso’s Farm Manager (1 available): One is appointed to each of the fields we own. Managers also work with the CEO and assistant managers in other administrative activities such as marketing and advertising. Assistant Manager (1 available): Similar to the manager title, the assistant manager is for those who would like a more authoritative title, but are unable to commit large amounts of time to the farm. They will assist existing managers in the work they're assigned to do, and when there are no managers present on the farm, assistant managers will assume the role of manager temporarily. Harvester (3 available): Once the crops are fully grown, harvesters will go around the fields and harvest all of the crops. They will also plant the seeds for the next harvest, and maintain the health of the crops. Harvesters will also be allowed to use tractors if the field they’re working on has one. Workers (1 available): They tend to the upkeep of the farm, which includes repairing broken fences, getting rid of waste, and weeding the fields. Truck Driver ( 0 available): They will transport our produce to the companies and stores that purchase them. Security Officer (1 available): They patrol the fields at night, as to prevent any poisoning or destruction of our fields. If anyone has any suggestions or criticisms as far as crops or jobs go, I appreciate any help! Pm me if you’re interested in working with me or leave a comment! Thank you! (Also if this post looks familiar, I had a different farm but wanted to change the name. So Smokin' Oakin' Farms is basically Calypso's Farm, just a different name ^.^) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Application Form: 1) Name: (Username or IGN) 2) Job you're Interested in: 3) Why do you want that job?: 4) Any previous knowledge/experience in farming? 1 pointJust a thought but would this not be an interesting Item you get one and it changes your name in the game while active so people can't find you as easy and think you just look like someone else. Also make and sell them to other players.

1 pointImagine if you wanted to purchase a piece of clothing made of a special material such as silk or military grade kevlar. Of course purchasing kevlar clothing would be logically sold on the deep web in-game. Speaking of the deep web, adding such a thing would add so many possibilities. Say a player wanted to purchase illegal items through the web, they would have to enter the deep web. Although there would be a process to enter the deep web, just in real life. These processes may include illegal software installation or ip blocking, all requiring a certain level of intelligence the player has on their character. The more intelligence, the easier hacking will be. In the game Warframe, you can hack modules throughout a map to disable enemy awareness, re-program robots, and make your presence known. I've included a couple images of the hacking sequence. The general idea is very good, although I am not recommending that it is copied. Just a general reference to an idea. Another idea I have is the ability to purchase drivable house boats, allowing the player to do various tasks while on the move, whether those tasks are legal or not. This idea also brings in new opportunities, such as more involvement with a certain military group: The Navy. Other factors to add may be importable music files for those awesome road trips with the gang, and VR. These ideas may be too much to ask for but all I ask is that if you guys do add these, please, please dont put a price on them. The last thing I want to see from this game is that it would be pay-to-play. My regards, Karl Wilson

1 pointI know this game suppose to be similar to real world. My questions is will their be evictions notices on apartments or monthly paid rent paid from player ingame bank accounts each month in the game. Will their be insurance you have to keep on cars, if you reck your car will their be and option to fix it at a mechanic garage or simply just total it out or cash it out. If car can be stolen if left unlock or no alarm is the car lost or if their in game insurance will they cover the cost.. Since I here that only the player that own a apartment, that player unless giving someone entrance to enter. So I assume no home break ins or robberies. Also will their be safes or storages to keep guns and personal vaiables to store or will thier only be a certain limit of guns that can be carried or will it be similiar to GTA the way a player buys and carries guns. But if a player is robbed should a player be able to take that character weapons if he choose to or the player can drop/give them up just like in Arma 3. also the movement of characters will they move/walk/run similiar to gta hopefully its nothing like Arma. With apartments lets say all the apartments are taken up in a certain area,, and than again lets just say you have palyers that have apartments but one played on the server one time and I'm like dang why dont the character loose his apartment after a certain amount of days or no money in account being he most likely on another server.. Also does game money follow from server to server including weapons and clothes or does going to another server have to make a new character get a new job etc...

-
1 pointIf you have an apartment pledge you can choose the city you start in. However about that you can't choose if you have the lower tier pledges, the result in long run could be a completely different outcome as it is a year atleast until the full game releases and so a lot of things can change in that time. Please don't think that features are destined to stay the same as it is early in the development process.

1 pointJust adding more to this... The in-game wiki could also house player's character's profiles. Eg, the player can make their own persona page with their characters basic info. Perhaps not every character needs this, as typically it's only reserved for famous people, but still...

And if this little mama's boy wanted to start shit he should go on Second Life where he belongs. FUCKIN RANT TIME BOYS

1 pointIdentities logo secretly embedded into mountains similar to a crop circle. Or the developers faces on a magazine. Something easily overlooked, unless you're searching for it. It'd be cool to see the building logo of identity, visible from a certain distance in one of the cities, at a certain angle. But that's just me. Developers would be the only ones to do Easter eggs but i could think of countless but they're probably all silly or odd. So I keep it plain, and bland. But if I chose a Easter egg, personally, I'd like to see the identify based cities incorporated in one of the signs, like a saying, similar to "welcome to Nebraska 'the good life" On a build board, or in a small chicken scratch on a side walk. It's odd, maybe even childish. But it might just make her O-face.... Idk where I was going with that.^

1 pointMost likely the average Joe who spirals into a life of crime. Then redeems himself by becoming a detective. One of teh best detectives in all of Identity!! OR Maybe a nobody who starts out in the town same as everyone, but goes to become one of the most prestigious designers (Either clothing, or interior design) People will hire him from all over to work on their homes or to buy his latest fashion! ;D
