4 pointsThis is information ive thrown together in the last hour or so by watching some interviews with the developers. There may be some spelling and format mistakes but everything discussed was sourced directly from the developers mouths. Hope you like it Cars - ‘very, very detailed mechanics’. - Currently, mainly working on social development so cars aren’t such a focus but test vehicles are functional. - Very realistic car physics, aiming for absolute realism. - Inside vehicles you can control turn signals, put on seatbelts, roll windows down, radio. Everything intractable as you’d expect in a real car. - Some vehicles have manual transmission. - Kidnapping – there is a trunk inventory but theres is no way to put someone inside a trunk yet. - You can restrain people and put them in your car/van, not trunk yet. - There are differences between 4x4 and 2 wheel drive, which are physically accurate. - The 4x4 cars can be manually switched to 2 wheel drive. - Different types of tyres have different traction depending on terrain -Snow / mud / grass - Crashing – depends on severity you will have to change your wheels on the side of the road or get the car towed if the engine is broke. - Spare tyres come with new cars. - There are repair garages in most towns - You will have to pay to get cars fixed. Will there be parking? - You can park your cars in private or public garages. - If you don’t use proper spaces in the street your car can get towed autonomously or by other players. - You must have a driver’s licence you must have before you can drive. RDM – stress system - If you’re being robbed at gunpoint randomly, you are not instantly vulnerable. A gunshot will not hurt much. Depending on your actions after…. Your stress level will rise and you will become vulnerable Surrender- stress levels will drop but your cash can be taken. Running - rises stress and you become vulnerable, you can get shot and killed. - If you go unconscious you can be revived within a time frame, your cash is lootable. - If you die, people can loot your weapons. - Clothing cannot be looted from players. Police, Fire and EMS recruitment - Official servers – you will have to do a short test to get into the department. Cops can’t have big criminal records - There will be an automated test - Private servers can pick who’s most qualified. Fire department – You will have to sign in at the hall have access to all gear and vehicles. You will then be called out to fires. If you crash your car into a tree can catch on fire. House fires can start randomly on NPC buildings. Prison is like a game in its self Jail –You go to jail for smaller crimes like petty theft or speeding tickets for a few minutes. Prison – Participating in another level of gameplay where you can join gangs, fight for territory or hang out in the rek room and chat to people. Wrongly arrested – lawyers can argue in front of a jury on your behalf. Animals You can have dogs and cats inside your house as pets. In the future, they want to allow animals to follow you, walk your dog / hunting with you. There are bears, deer and critters for hunting. You can then use leather and other resources to craft items. Clothing - Clothing does not currently get dirty but it would be something to look at. - There are recipes like blueprints for clothing. ‘Cuts’ determine the shape. - You can control patterns and colours. - Millions of combinations. - You can open a store and sell all your clothing. Drug lab / meth RV. A civilian RV vehicle can be converted into a drugs lab once you have found a location that is safe. Once you park the RV, you can deploy the meth lab. You will not be able to move the vehicle. Can you live completely off the radar? Yes you can live entirely off the land. You will have to find storage, chop trees, find shelter, gather water, and hunt animals. You do not need to enter a city or town in order to survive. Malls / social gathering places / safe zones are protected with metal detectors that will confiscate weapons. Cellphones can capture photos. Character customisation. - Head options are more than just a base face configuration. Different races have different head shapes and body features. From that pint you can manipulate the base face. Then you can edit complexion / eyes etc… - Tattoos are found In game, not in character customisation. Shanking people in prison will unlock relevant tattoos etc… - Makeup can be changed quite easily at any time. - There are hair physics on long hair and clothing with wind and movement. I hope at least one person gets something from this. Please leave comments and feedback. Cheers x

2 pointsWe at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. We'll be bringing you more information on the modules as they progress!

2 pointsHello! Just as a foreword, this is a roleplaying thread. I would hope most would be familiar with how role play works but; I will start with a brief description of my character and placement in the identity world, but lets see where it goes! Purely set this board up for character development, networking and hashing out relationships before we get into the game itself. Enjoy x Setting: Coffee Shop Ryver; an auburn haired mid thirty, pondered over the contents of a criminal file. Delicately stirring her morning coffee, the room filed with busy people, with busy lives all individually not taking a blind bit of notice of each other. She sighed and glanced away for a moment, catching a reflection of herself in her smartphone she thought, if anyone could even deduce at this point that she came from 'a cult' upbringing in Arizona. Wearing her grey designer dress and sling back stilettos, she was a shadow of herself. She retained her free spirit and tenacity to right the injustice's in the world but she knew she had to conform, her one small token to her past was a woven bracelet in muted tones in the colours of her family. Red for love, green for peace and yellow for happiness, the pillars of their belief system.. Although she hadn't spoken to her family for some time. Snapping back to the problem at hand, the file. It was missing most of any hard evidence, she knew this would be a tough one to swing...

2 pointsHey guys, I'm really happy about how excited you all are to see these screenshots of the Town Square. They're just meant to be a little something to show you guys how progress is going for that module! You might remember the first screenshot of this location that we published back in may, and will notice that the square has been completely rebuilt from that original version! Just keep in mind that this is a work in progress with much of the detail, props, decals, lighting and textures still remaining to be added to the scene. Old Square:

1 pointHello everyone! Some of you might remember that I had a thread on the old forum with an Imgur album containing all pictures posted by the developers on Twitter and Facebook. I just wanted to let you all know, both those who might have seen it but had forgot about it, aswell as new people who found it just now that it still exists and is updated as soon as a new picture is released. You can access it here, feel free to use it (or not use it) however you like. Take care!

1 pointAs Gene agrees, Ryver lets out a little 'yip' of unforeseen enjoyment, but sharply realised that made her look like a crazy lady. But she did always like to see the bright side of situations. "You don't have to turn Van Halen off on my account" she remarks as she sets into the car. "Do you need me to direct you?" she weakly suggests as she buckles in, as in reality she is still getting used to the city herself.

1 pointHi there, WhosYourDaddy! Welcome to the forums! Glad to see that you're interested in this game. Also nice to hear that you're spreading the word about this game, it's really what this game needs at the moment. I hope you enjoy your time here.

1 pointOn her way to the court house Ryver drove past the bridge known to house a settlement of vagrants. Having had a somewhat unconventional upbringing herself she always felt somewhat a-kin to those living outside society. Normally she would have this passing feeling, sip her $8 coffee and drive on.. but today...rather selfishly she was concentrating on her dreams of becoming DA, and the case she had, was hanging by a thread. She needed evidence and she needed someone with a disdain for society to help. Driving down the dirty road to the settlement, the small rocks whipping at the side of her car like hail, she contemplated if she was doing the right thing and silenced her mind with conviction that one wrong can sometimes make it right. Parking up just shy of the entrance, she stepped out with her black sling back heels crushing the dry earth, she walked with poise toward the gate, her grey designer dress clenched to her hourglass figure. She calls for attention at the gate.

1 pointYes, They are permanent Items which ANY mod will confirm for you.

1 pointI was wondering what will the map size be of the first module or will it be the full identity map.
-
1 pointAfter ubisoft games, I understand what beta is not a full game
-

-
1 pointThe Town Square is not THE Beta!!!! They are small standalone parts of the game. The beta will be either End 2017/ Early 2018 which will follow by the full game release. Beta will be the closest thing to the full game. However before the Beta will be 3 modules. The Town Square being due in March roughly, S.W.A.T. Module shortly after and then the Racing Module! EDIT: @SmashUp @mrfunnn Also if you have already pledged you already have the game at full release.
-
1 pointIn this or next month, the beta is a central park with a movie theater, clothing and possibly furnishing apartment and is for the whole period before the game, later in this join guns, the SWAT and the police, and this too for a period before the game, later to be added cars, racing, and maybe it will have to exit the game, so that if you want to play for a year before release, then buy the "full" version)

1 pointI hope I can eat as much in game as I could in real life and still be skinny. No joke, I eat 3000 calories a day (Mcdonalds daily too, sometimes Taco Bell) and I'm still 130 lbs. I'm also 5'10'' for my height. If nobody believes me, I'll make daily journals on youtube, with a calories count, a list of my meals, and a pic of my stomach/body.
-
1 pointI'm am pretty sure that it will be with you at the start of the full release. @HairyGrenade Could you confirm.

1 pointSo I know there are going to be multiple types of art in Identity, like painting and sculpting, but what about graffiti? It could be a way for artists to create gigantic murals on walls instead of cramped little canvasses. It could be illegal, but some people could also pay graffiti artists to paint their walls for them. I'd love to hear everyone's (or as close as I can get ) thoughts on this!

1 pointI have to say I'm with Gene on this, and especially about the removal of needles one by one rather than taking off a whole arm. Gene you've got initiative which isn't to say other Governor candidates don't because they very well do, but you'v also got the charisma and confidence that every leader should have, you also have a solid idea as to what you want to do as Governor and for these reasons i'm voting for you as Governor.

1 pointBut you need to think about a lot of things. The dev's said there will be 300 houses which are unique/ 2 floors likely (or more even). Having 1k players will be good but 300 houses are not enough (Yes there are unlimited apartments but most people will want a house.) You need to remember that they are going to be testing and the 300 player cap is their goal but if the servers can handle more then they said they will go for more and so if the servers can handle 500 then that could be the cap. Beta is when they will test more with the cap to make sure they have the right cap.
-
1 pointI know graffiti is going to be possible, but I'm not sure exactly to what extent. I'm pretty sure it's only going to be allowed in certain areas of the map, though. You can also use spray cans, according to this tweet . ^.^ It would be pretty cool to see graffiti all around the map though! Like every different server you go on has it's own unique art around the map, kinda cool
-
1 pointFirst of all, I am correct in what I said. Of course admins may enter your server but they won't do anything, it will just be to see you or spectate or osmething of the sort. The governor can not, as I stated, nobody can enter without permission from the house owner. This includes police, gangs and yes the governor. It's a real life ha,e but needs some fun elements as well. Please research before shouting at me in poor english.

1 pointAlthough I support gay people, I don't think that it would have to be in the game as a must. Just becuase it happens doesn't mean it HAS to be in the game. Or else why not add everything else from today's society into the game like Isis, racisim, suicide. It doesn't seem fair that the devs are forced to put it in to satisfy people that are normal.

1 pointI don't think there will be or should be any skin aging. At some point realism just becomes annoying and as don't wanna get stuck playing some fat wrinkly old hag.

1 pointHello. I recently had a thought spring to mind, that being how the making of items in game will be. With my field being fashion, I am most interested in how the attire manufacturing system will work, it would be a major letdown if the only clothes I could make was by mixing and matching presets to make a new unique item, i.e picking a predefined set of arms to go with a predefined set of pockets to go with a predefined set of lapels etc. On the other hand, I dont see you making us 3D model fully customised clothing, so I am very interested to know how this system will work.

1 pointToday we publish the first Identity Insider update, bringing you detailed information about key systems in Identity. Our website has expanded with a small page detailing corporations and their classes, also available below: Corporations in Identity You've made a lot of cash working odd jobs, or maybe even the odd less-than-legal task; now that you've had a taste of success, it's time to forge an empire. Corporations will allow the successful with a little extra cash to become driving forces in Identity's dynamic economy. Corporations are organizations similar to, but separate from, gangs and other social structures. They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees. Some assets, such as the largest cargo trucks, are available only to corporations. Once formed, the corporation is assigned a telephone number for public contact and the director (owner) can build a logo using an in-game design tool. It's then time to hire a staff and get to work. Classes of Corporations Delivery Delivery corporations can buy large vehicles for big hauls, vehicles not available to the general public. While any player can deliver goods in vehicles such as vans, to get the big-bucks you'll need to join a corporation. Legal Let's face it, crimes happen and criminals are going to be arrested. They'll need someone on the outside to convince the jury that they did nothing wrong. This is where legal corporations come into play, and their services aren't always cheap. Transportation People need to get from point A to point B and they don't always have the means to do that themselves. Transportation corporations own special vehicle assets including taxis and more, helping those in need get where they need to be. Manufacturing From the shoes on your feet to the sofa under your seat, almost everything in Identity is built and crafted by other players. Manufacturing corporations give their employees access to a wider variety of constructables and resources, for a cut of the profits. Always Expanding As with most things in Identity, we at Asylum will constantly be expanding this system adding new classes of corporations and building on those already available. Identity's release is only the beginning. If you have any ideas for a well-suited corporation class, let us know on the forums.

1 pointI want you, right now. To go and try and raise 200,000 dollars with a team of nine while some of them work two jobs and try not to release too much because they still want it to be a surprise. Would you rather be like "Oh wow! That looks awesome!" Or "Yeah.. I seen that already." Game development is hard work. GTA5 was in production since 2008 and was only released in 2013 with nothing shown. And yet people still loved it.
-
1 pointGood idea! We'll keep an eye on this thread to try to get an idea of what you guys are looking for. It's important to us that our players be able to fully express their personalities through character customization. Please try to keep ideas grounded in reality though! A lot of our design decisions are based on whether we feel a certain style will break immersion for others.

1 pointI gotta transport my kidnapped persons somehow, don't I?
