3 pointsAs someone who's going to be a serious RPer, none. Youtubers and streamers are very troll like (Running around like retards with a funny voice) and even if they themselves take it seriously, some asshole fan of theirs wanting their 5 minutes of fame is gonna troll to get their attention. Lirik's RP style especially ruined Altis life for me because everyone tries to be "funny" when they RP.

2 pointsAlso, i'll add that while on the surface the forum seems ignored, scrap a little and you'll see hairy is there and they are also active on redit and twitter so you can have a lot of info if you look for it i think @JamesLuck01 has proven to be reliable source of info as he loves digging up everything the dev posts to the point that ppl take him as a moderator wich he isn't IIRC, Paratus Is the CEO of Asylum while Motown is the community manager and 3D artist, i think you can understand that they ain't got much time to roam the forums right now as everyone would like the modules then game released ASAP (them too i think haha)

1 pointGreetings everyone, Today I'd like to update you guys on some progress for Identity. Below, you will find new pictures that haven't been shown to the public eye yet. We know you are waiting so eagerly to play, but please remember everything takes time. Thanks to everyone who has shown the developers support thus far!

1 pointHello people of Identity. My name is Gene Smith and I'm running for Governor of The Island. I know that the game currently isn't out and nothing is set in stone but I wanted to set out my campaign. I've taken my time to carefully think about different answers for popular questions. What will you do about Property Taxes? What will you do about Gun Control? What will you do about regulating taxes? What are your thoughts about Health Care? What you can do for the working man, and what will you do about the crime? ------------ Property Taxes are Taxes you pay to keep your business running or your home from being taken away. Property taxes are unnecessary and unneeded. Property Taxes need to be removed completely and focusing on taxing other things. You should not have to pay for something you helped build just to live in fear of it being taken away. ----- Gun Control is something that everybody talks about when somebody gets shot. Well the hard truth is, guns don't kill people. People kill people. A person has to load the gun, aim the gun and pull the trigger. We don't need control on guns. We need control on the people who have the guns. If you have a criminal record and you have been known to kill you will have to run a background check before you're able to get your guns. ------ Regulating Taxes on working people will not only bring more jobs but also putting more people in those jobs. A person who makes 8$ an hour gets taxed 5%,10% and even 15% and sometimes even up to but not limited to 35%. You take a middle class man who works 10 hours a day and makes 10 dollars an hour. He gets taxed 15% for his week of pay. He takes home 425$ or somewhere around there. That money could be going towards his house payments. His food. His utilities or even buying clothes for his children. Regulating taxes is the number one thing we need to work on. I want to lower the tax rate to at least 3% to give the lower/middle class man or woman that extra incentive to work harder for those promotions. A happy worker is a hard worker. ------- Health Care is the most important thing. Canada-while their government isn't the best- they do have free health care. Free health care is the most important thing that we need to work on. While Canadians have to pay higher taxes for free health care we will not. Regulating taxes is what needs to happens. --------- The working man is the best type of man. A man who isn't afraid of trying to support his family and trying to make his household happy. The working man is the backbone of our community. I've seen plenty working men and woman that have started their own companies based on the fact to grow more and create more jobs. They make more money for our homes and government. I want to work on. Not taxing the working person not because they're special but because they deserve what they worked for. Why take that away? And crime is something that I will talk about later if necessary. Thank you for your time.

1 pointHello everyone from Identity. I plan on being a driver, hopefully in the industrial shipping area. I'd appreciate it if you could point me towards topics of interest in our community so I can get acquainted with our groups/gangs/businesses/political agendas. I look forward to playing with you soon.

I'll also be talking conspiracy theories and recent news about aliens, government or just anything I can get my hands on. It'll be a daily show hopefully airing from 3pm-12am and I'll make videos of me recording my podcasts and alien hunting. Hopefully you all decide to tune in and Follow The Signs. See you on the other side.

1 pointI guess but it will be annoying chasing them for 20 minutes waiting for them to run out of gas.
-
1 pointAnnnnnnnnnnd. I left, Jerry's way to immature, he doesn't know how to be a Capo.
-
1 pointI think the only corrupted thing you will be able to do as a cop in the game will be to turn the blind eye, or accept money to keep your mouth shut or lie etc. Small stuff like that. Hiding or place evidence I don't think you can be able to do. But maybe it will change in the future.
-
1 pointyeah looking back at my post i realize i stated eye damage for both eyes which wouldn't work realistically, but i am glad you approve of my idea for eye patches lol

1 pointSince the game will feature female characters, cosmetics like makeup, jewelery etc. probably will also have scars and what you are looking for.

1 pointIdea or suggestion about customisation the cars.I know, identity got customisations for cars, but what you mean by that? When somebody talking about customisation I think about this - What do you feel about it?)
-
1 pointHello O'le chap and Welcome to the identity community! What do you look forward to most about Identity? What are your goals in Identity? 1 pointlirik plays alot in atlis life, and he is super funny and good RP you can youtube it (he is not a youtuber most of time on twitch)
-
1 pointIf a person plays a game and broadcasts it online, people are going to join from that community.
-
1 pointRest assured, I'm having very good minds work on it with me. Basically it would be easier to do this as there wouldn't be a definitive lower class. I estimate an average total tax payment of over one million if not that just a couple thousand lower. We would be able to fully afford free healthcare for 300 people for a whole year.
-
1 pointHmm. Do you have any boxes that are blood-proof and can handle limbs stored in them? Just curious.. for... you know..
-
1 pointI don't think pewdiepie plays this type of game. But that would be worst case scenario.
-
1 pointLMFAO. Yes you do... At least here in Australia you do. Every fifth car you see is modified. Be it rims, lowered, exhaust - The basic stuff mostly. Almost everybody in my circles are interested in cars one way or another, everybody I went to school with, even the girls. There are like 4 car collectors in my street alone, and it isn't a very big street, that's not including those who have a modified newer car in their driveway. If you wander around in the city you'll see a few Porsche's, AMG's, even Ferrari's and Lambo's sometimes. It isn't a rarity. You're almost guaranteed to see one.

1 pointI know graffiti is going to be possible, but I'm not sure exactly to what extent. I'm pretty sure it's only going to be allowed in certain areas of the map, though. You can also use spray cans, according to this tweet . ^.^ It would be pretty cool to see graffiti all around the map though! Like every different server you go on has it's own unique art around the map, kinda cool

1 pointI meant that the devs making other games, care more about the money than the game. They have the passion to making us great games because they can make a lot of money. The Identity dev's are making there Dream game and that is there passion for the game, it is not only a game for us but a game that they have never seen done and so they decided that they could make that game as it is something they have always wanted. They also know it would be successful yes because of their mod on Arma 3. (My Opinion) Does that make more sense? Also I like the idea they have with making that game, because the more competition the better.

1 pointXilion Law Practise “veritas semper vincit” > Company Website < Ever since the dawn of society, man has practised a system of rules and regulations to maintain order. Those who would not abide by the rules would be punished. Because criminal activity and punishment is, and has always been, a point-of-view area of expertise, legal representation has always been a certain necessity in order to safeguard the innocent. In the modern era, with so many laws in place, it is quite understandable the average man does not know his rights and limitations. What may seem as a perfectly allowed action can sometimes cause severe legal action. We understand you; and we are there for you! The Xilion Law Practise, established in 1987 by Abraham M. Crow has a formidable record of serving well over 1500 cases at an 81% success rate. We specialize in both criminal justice and financial law, but have served with excellence in most other fields as well. Currently ran by Abraham’s son Barry L. Crow (LL.M), the firm is ever growing and ready to take your case head-on! Some additional facts: - Legal aid for anyone; if you require assistance in understanding your legal situation, we are there for you. We carefully explain in ‘plain English’ what your situation is and what your options are; - More than a case; we are also adept at permanent legal representation as a family lawyer or corporate legal assistant. - Pro Deo work; because we want to give back to the community. We deeply care for the less fortunate; - No situation too tough; because we believe in you and will do our very best to help you out. Important note: We are currently moving offices. As such, our address will change in the foreseeable future. We will keep you updated! (i.e. I don’t have a place to stay yet in the world ) NEW!! The Xilion Law Practise is hiring! Are you an aspiring (young) professional with a knack for the wondrous world of legal? Then we have need of you! The following positions are open: - Administrative clerk / Secretary; - Trainee Legal; - Senior Lawyer; In order to apply, please fill out the below form: (Form to be added soon!) Lastly; thank you for your time, and when you are in a pickle, remember that we are there for you, always! Kindest regards, Barry L. Crow

1 pointI plan to be a Michael Westen... Being a roll playing game where "you can do anything", I'm hoping that there's nothing stopping one from free-lancing and spying on people. Or go head-to-head with a gang with that gang is harassing a player or think someone is planning to screw them over. Now that I think about it - I can't think of any reason why you'd need a P.I. in this game. Screw it, cocaine smuggler, it is.
-
1 pointThanks for applying! You are probably one of our most valued assets at the moment, being that you want to join the private military, and an (armed) truck driver - both of these roles will contribute a significant amount of value to our organization. It's unfortunate that you wont be able to play very much, but not a problem at all. The structure is designed to get in what you put in, so perhaps you may want to focus a lot on putting your earnings towards business investments that The Neighborhood is supporting at the time, particularly at launch. This way you can collect your % payoffs even while you are offline, and other players are growing their business. Join our discord when you get a chance as well and introduce yourself.
-
1 pointYes. YES! This is something I hadn't seen yet and I think would be an awesome attribute to the island! This could even run outside the game if need be, through shoutcast or something. You have my full support; I think it's awesome!
-
1 pointThe car customising will be in-depth and I have seen mentioned that they will have many different tire types including off road tires.
-
1 pointThey gave a more Q&A update. They gave a full day of them answering the "communities questions" on the Reddit Q&A which was on "Friday 13th January 2017" That being said is not more than a month ago, but if you mean by a "video or a devblog" then we most likely (hopefully) will get something next month but nothing official has been announced. 1st Module (Not full game) is due roughly 'Q1 2017' and so you got to wait atleast until March but expect it to be April. Nothing official on this but this is my estimate. Also if you don't like taking risks for games that are not officially announced then you shouldn't take the risk, because you need to have confidence that you are doing the right/ the thing you want to do. It is up to you, now one can make you do it now or ever, do it on your own judgement!
-
1 pointOfficial servers, you will have a choice to either respawn at your last bind location (apartment etc.) or wait for a paramedic to arrive to revive you. However private server owners will be able to change this and make everyone to have 3 lives before a permanent death for the character, or they could just make it so you have 1 life and it is a permanent death when you die for that character.

1 pointI'm loving everything about this mmorpg! My only issue... And I HATE to criticize because I KNOW the devs are awesome and doing so so much to make this experience a great one... But, It seems like they are sort of sending mixed messages. They say that they want everyone to be who they want to be and look how they wish to look, and also that they want the game to be really social and for people to feel part of something. But yet they seem to be unsure/against creating custom content. Everything is about guns and cars! What about the people who just want to chill, hang out in clubs/bars/social groups, be creative and maybe just run a business? I love the fact that in other games users can create skins, hair, mesh/textured clothing etc. to really make their characters look much better than the "stock" clothing/hair/skins available in the base game. I understand that these thing are not really important to some people (I get it), but to others it's really kind of "make or break" it. I totally get it if the devs would like to prevent everyone from running around looking like monsters or aliens, but within reason, people should be allowed to experiment and really customize their look! I just really hope they allow for numerous and varied fashion, skin, hair and accessory options! Anyway, on to the fashion! I used to play Second Life a lot (womp womp lol), and I used to create different looks and styles for my avi. I thought I would post a few here as an example

-
1 pointI don't think you know how long we've been waiting already do you....
-
1 pointAhhh I can't wait! The clothing for females has me so excited. Character customization is my main reason for playing. All the other aspects are just bonuses!
-
1 pointYou don't want to attack the company as a whole. Simply try and take out the needles that are infecting the arm per say. What I'm saying is, don't chop of the arm, if you can take out the needles one by one. Corruption is usually only a few people at a time. Take them out and then cleanse the work place.

1 pointIt's been a busy, eventful and productive month for the Identity team at Asylum! Only a few weeks ago we released our first video showing real in-game content, the player housing system, and Identity has gotten a good bit of much-needed exposure! If you haven't seen the video, visit Identity's YouTube channel. Our programmers, especially Henrik Sonesson, have upgraded our inventory mechanics and created two new important gameplay systems these last weeks. The library which you'll have access to in the Town Square module is now in place and functional. Players can both read public domain classic books in-game, or even write their own and submit them to the library for other players to read. In addition, the NPC shop systems are now in place. When you enter most shops you'll be able to find the items you need on racks or displays around the store. Grab what it is you're looking for and then make your way to the cash register to make the purchase. In some places you can preview the items you're holding even before buying; for example, in a clothing store you can go into a change room. This system even allows for shoplifting some items, although player-crafted or very expensive items cannot be shoplifted on official servers. On the art front, we've brought on new artists and are continuing to build the world you'll be exploring. We've also been focusing on the interiors of buildings and characters. We've gotten our first facial hair assets and are approaching a complete character customization system. An overhaul of character skin and hair has Identity's characters looking incredibly life-like in comparison to other MMORPGs. Next on that list for a re-work is the eyes.

1 pointYou are correct, there would be less guns in total. However, you are wrong to say that it would solve crime, as you are only removing guns from law abiding citizens. Those who wish to do crime, would still have guns nonetheless.
-
1 pointI'm curious as to where you will get the money for universal healthcare if not through higher taxes?
-
1 pointThere are things you're leaving out, yes you have some valid point to it but at the end of the day you're still incorrect because this is the planning stage. People are discussing their ideas and trying to get players together so they may work towards a goal, as some are dedicated they will progress steadily towards their businesses making this seemingly useless (in your opinion) endeavor to produce actual results. Granted, there are a few recruitment posts out there that are pretty far fetched with little effort put into them, but the big ones who've worked hard to put together their ideas and content will certainly become a reality with server release. You'll notice a lot of businesses base their goods and services based off what the Developers have confirmed. Anyone who tweets them gets a response within a day or two max, so it's not like anyone here posting is committing to guess work. And to tie this up to repeat what so many have already said, even if it was all in vein, who are you to tell them different and argue with other people's creative ideas? It's fun for them and many others, it gives ideas to the devs and great feedback when in-depth discussions about features occur on these threads and posts leading to people asking the devs once again. This community is full of Role players who are anxious to have a great time in this community, and your spam-like posts of negativity, on an unrelated category mind you, which there are multiple recruiting ones on this forum, are very unneeded and at the end of the day; amount to nothing more than a nuisance and eventually may lead to a bad reputation on your account. Whether you care or not isn't the point, but I hope you'll realize the fault in this and join the bandwagon someday while we entertain ourselves until the module and full release of the game.
-
1 pointListen, don't be the one bad apple that spoils the whole orchard . If people are happy for the game and are excited to create their own groups, companies, and organization, then let them. Do not purposely ruin people's moods for the game. If things do not go the way they were planned, oh well. Players can always change their plan. By telling people it is not a good idea to get hyped and excited for the game, you are literally killing it before people get a chance to touch it. Let people have a little fun Glueman.
-
1 pointIf you have played Arma Altis life, servers with more than 100 players are more than enough.
-
1 pointText chat will be available to you in Identity! There will be local chat, as well as private messaging. We acknowledge that the convenience of voice chat isn't always what people want in every situation. Whether you are shy, or you want to pretend to be someone else, or even if someone in your proximity is trying to sleep, we don't want to suppress your ability to get a message across, but we do think that those who want and will use voice chat, will inherently have an enhanced experience in Identity.
-
1 pointI'm going to fly in the face of convention & actually agree with some of your original post. When we open our server (that's if Identity ever actually gets off the ground) most people will be starting at basement level. There are obvious exceptions, first response services etc will need predesignated leaders right from the word go for example, but crime gangs etc, nope. A forum signature will not make you 'the best', you are going to have to get in world and both prove and earn that claim. While it never hurts to plan ahead, claims on a forum about biggest and best don't mean a thing until the game actually starts.
-
1 point@Glueman. Ever heard of publicity? Publicity is intangible, meaning without physical form. That means I don't have to be playing the game to create a name for myself. When someone on the forums talk about weapons manufacturing, they think of me. Meaning, when we finally do get in the game, if you are searching for a weapon you know who to look for... Andrew Donaldson. Also, if you plan out how and what you are doing before you get in the game, you will already be ahead of others who haven't planned for their career choice. P.S. I wouldn't fuck with @Herzog
-
1 pointMoney isn't everything mate. People may have bought their way into the game with money in their pockets but it's the people that start from the bottom that will most likely be more successful. Also respect is key in business. Especially in the crime department. My MC gets a lot of respect from people. The club has been disbanded 2 times, both time having to make a comeback due to the fact people love it so much. If that shows you that it's not too early to make a gang or business then I don't know what does. How's about next time just leave people to their own thing. I understand that it's your opinion and I respect your opinion but from what I can see on this post and your dupe post you've just started making people unhappy. At the end of the day, whether the game comes out or not. The people that spent a good couple of hours making a gang or business would have had the most fun out of everyone on the forums.
-
1 pointIt doesn't matter. What do you have against creativity. Let us be. We aren't gonna stop just because you post the same unnecessary paragraph over and over again. Btw this is a role play community. We know this stuff isn't real yet but at least we are coming up with something to do while we wait. And it's also practice for those who aren't the best at roleplay. Not trying to be harsh but we don't need you to give us a reality check bud.
