4 points@Mlam I wouldn't give it that much credit. It isn't being created by Rockstar, just a few people who left Rockstar - it has nothing to do with the company. Also, the developers of Identity have been building on ideas and plans that have been in place for years, so their experience and vision will have a far bigger impact than that of someone just deciding to do it. Let's say you're interested in something, so you put forth an enormous amount of effort into researching, creating and developing it, and you do so with a lot of passion because it's what you've been focused on for a very long time - you know what you're doing, and the product you create will show it. Someone else then comes along and says, "hey, I could do that. It would probably make a lot of money." That person then rushes out a basic copy/paste version of what you're creating. It may be similar, but it will not be the same. Even if it releases early, I'm not worried about it stealing from Identity. Besides, I never put much effort or interest into pay-to-win games like they have been creating.

2 pointsI asked a while ago on twitter if there were going to be rolling burnouts and extended wheels. They replied back saying that its possible so who knows
-
2 pointsJudging by COPS6829's previous posts It seems that isn't a thing he's capable of. My guess is both games will release on completely different timelines anyway.

1 pointHey there everyone! As like many of you, I am still avidly awaiting the module release of the town and I've just decided to make this short post in my wait time My plan for the game Well to being I think the most interesting place to start is what I'm gonna do in Identity, to being I'm going to start up my own business (which seems to be a popular choice, so there will be a lot of competition which will add more realism) I still haven't decided as to what I'm going to make a business in, the ones that first come to mind is clothes and cars (but I'm not sure if I need to post on a different part of the forums to say that I'm making a business, if I do please let me know). My character We really haven't seen any clothes from any of the trailers that have been given pictures (that I know of) so I could just play could of a genre type, I would wear a hoodie, random trivia a hoodie is my favorite clothing item in game and real life. Another one that I would like to think about going for is a steampunk look or something along those lines. And most importantly my game name is Skarecrow (I know it's spelled with a 'c' usually, however I really like it with a k for no other reason than I just like it. Closing words Thanks for reading my little 'hello' to the forums, I really haven't got anything to close with apart from saying thanks, so I'll leave it at this and I can't wait for the first module to come out

1 pointHi guys! My name is Santaclus and im originally from Moscow, Russia! I moved to the United States when i was very young and am fluent in both English and Russian. I am currently looking for bros and/or gals to play with because i have no friends that are PC gamers. Also just want to introduce myself, lol. Facts about me: Im a guy I live in New York I love sports especially hockey. I love Identity. Thanks for your time and hope to make some new friends!

1 pointWe all know right now that the closest to aviation in identity we're going to get is gliders possibly in the future. But we know for a fact that boats are going to be included (in the gameplay trailer) what I want to know is.. will there be diving and diving kits along with fauna and flora to discover, maybe even some lost treasures to find and make a living off of?

1 pointI have my mind set on being a police officer. I don't know much about how that's going to work as in are there different servers where you can be a cop on one of the servers etc etc. I'm not sure if people are already forming like guilds or whatever or already forming a list of players who they're already going to join together on a server and already know who's going to be who. I would like to pre-apply to be an officer on one of the servers. I'm an admin of two facebook groups, I'm a mod on a forum, and I'm guild leader on WoW so I definitely fit the role of a cop. so if someone can point me in the direction to get myself on a list or if someone is making a server ( or however that works ), and needs a cop, please let me know I'm your man. I would make a great addition to the police team. Thanks

1 pointThanks everyone for the kind welcome and useful advice, it's great to see this is going to be an amazing community

1 pointCitizen package is the $30 one, if I am correct. This will give you access to modules, as will any other tier with 'Beta access' In it.
-
1 pointThe citizen package (basic) gives you the full game. The next tier gives you the beta, don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure the modules are free. I will have to ask @JamesLuck01
-
1 pointWelcome! Thats really cool that you want to start your own business! Im also waiting on news when it actually comes out, lol. If you need a new friend and want to apply for a job position, don't hesitate to pm me!

1 pointHello O'le chap and Welcome to the identity community! What do you look forward to most about Identity? What are your goals in Identity? Please read the 2 FAQ's which are linked in my signature. Please feel free to use the resources on this forum/ website to gather information on the game. If you have not found something within the resources, please don't hesitate to ask as everyone here is happy to help! Cheerio!

1 pointHello and welcome to the forums! Business is a very popular choice in Identity, and I too am interested in it. I can't wait to see how the crafting process works, so I can see just how unique business can be. (i.e. does everyone create the same items in the same colors, or is there a way to ensure your product is unique to you or your business)
-
1 pointNice to meet you Skarekrow! Looks like you have some great ambitions for the game! We share in your excitement! If you want to check out some clothing designs, I believe the Identity Facebook and Twitter pages have some pictures. Also, check out the recent developer Q&A by Powergaming7 on YouTube, they talk quite a bit about clothing and lots of other cool stuff! Great to have you here and welcome to the community! All the best, Bobby Cruz

1 point1. Ok, I generally think the customisation will be like the cars excluding some changes which are more that you wouldn't touch. 2. You can expect a fairly good range of bikes in identity I am sure. 3. That I am uncertain at all about but would be cool and maybe hard to implement. 4. You would fly off and could possibly die. (In cars if you don't wear a seat belt you could fly threw the windscreen. Hope this helped answer your questions. Best Regards, James.

1 pointWell buying food doesn't remove value from the economy as the Devs have confirmed there will be farming in the game. Basically estate tax serves as one of the only ways for currency to be removed from the system. If you want to keep taxes low, that's fine, just don't get rid of them entirely (though if estate taxes are too low, you will have a lot of inactive houses on the server, so adjust based on circumstances). Inflation occurs when there is too much money in circulation. In RL, money is only created by the government, in Identity, money is created by selling to NPCs. Keep in mind, what's important is not how much money people have in their pockets, what's important is how much their money's worth.

1 pointOk, ok.. guys. Could we first knock it off with the WE HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM attitude? Damn dude, you make it sound like there's a meteor heading for earth... jeez. Same goes for 70% of the posts. Where's the rational thought? You guys are making eachother scared and feeding oneanother.. gather your thoughts and take a second to look at what's happening objectively. The facts: - Big, powerful man from Rockstar leaves company under legal fire (big lawsuit to be following. This generally means he fucked someone over, or broke out of contract. If he did, it means he acted on emotion most probably. If that's true, that severely impacts my view on his 'greatness') - Immediately starts up a new project after leaving Rockstar, with a minimalist approach. This means he's been plotting to do this for a while and didn't get the funding or support within Rockstar. That means that his businessplan, for now, might not be viable enough for Rockstar to accept. That tells you something about the quality. - The minimalist website and info they're bringing out. It sounds a bit like this: "Today, I, Sir Blob Blobbetyblob am starting a new car company. I'll call it AWESUMCAR and make cars that fly! Yes! And it will be so much better than what you've ever seen. And that's all I'm telling you now! I'm starting this company with experienced people! Oh and we need 50 new employees for our office in England" <-- silly. All in all, I'm not saying they will or will not beat Identity. Simply because you can't at this stage. Man, if I could, I would be rich with predicting other stuff. 'Everywhere' will be... something. And that's all we know. We don't know anything about microtransactions, VR, large open worlds or not... heck it could be an augmented reality app. We don't... know. Now stop spazzing out please.
-
1 pointI'm not worried about it personally. Different teams often do things very differently, and I have plenty of room in my steam library for both. Competition in a market like this isn't always a bad thing. Naturally it was only a matter of time for this game style to develop into a genre with all of the mods etc that have been going strong for years. That all being said if 'Everyone' has shitty P2w things like being able to buy money etc I won't be playing it, Fuck microtransactions, IMO.
-
1 pointHey man, if you ever need any help PM, we may have some things in common.
-
1 point@uncannierlink I love what you have said and really enjoy the insight. I think @GeneSmith might have more to say about all of this. I am just helping people voice their opinions and their views on how things should work. Also @uncannierlink I would love to learn more about you're plans for this bank if it is exactly that.

1 pointThanks, Dmonic, I actually am from Chinese decent, half Chinese (Hong Kong) and half caucasian. I wanted to create a semi-accurate gang that can be somewhat close to a real Chinese gang. I, unfortunately, can't speak fluent Cantonese but I did have help writing all the translations (thanks grandma). Thanks, Corn, I love the vibe also! that's exactly why i made it!

1 pointI don't see the problem at all. Now we got two games to play instead of one. If this was a problem, we should eliminate every new game since it gets peoples attention if they like what they see..
-
1 pointI'm new to the forums myself, but it's awesome to see some blue representing here! I'm a Correctional Officer at a state med/max facility. I'm excited to see how corrections plays out in Identity, but I feel like my character is going to end up on the other side of the bars at some point.
-
1 pointAs far as policing goes, I'm pretty sure there aren't any guilds per se, at least not yet. From what I have seen, criminal and business organizations are gathering together people, though I haven't really seen this elsewhere. Perhaps there will be as the game progresses and we see a light at the end of the tunnel, but nothing major right now. Most of us are simply scoping out players we'd like to play with.
-
1 pointKracken I agree completely that being a police officer today is FAR more dangerous. Not only from violence coming from entitled young shitbag millennials who think they don't have to obey the law but from lawsuit happy minorities who will sue you for saying "hello" to them. Ive done this for a long damn time down here in Texas and its gotten so bad that im actively looking into other careers.
-
1 pointI feel if people are purposely not opening businesses because they see that their idea already exists they should still continue their ideas. It helps the economy, it creates competition, and it doesn't allow the other companies to take control and become too powerful over the market.

1 pointOnce again your posts are sad and repetitive.
-
1 pointI will certainly do that, if after reading that please message me at anytime and I'll be sure to get back to you.
-
1 pointThis is only some of the things I've talked about in that post. If you have any questions feel free to respond or just PM me my good man.
-
1 point@Kracken Thank you. I'll help wherever I can, but for now I'll just join everyone in anticipation.
-
1 pointI do have experience working with LE as an EMT, but that's as far as I can go in regards to policing. Hopefully we'll be a benefit one way or another, whether it's through input regarding careers or simply testing the functions and abilities of the game. Backing it to begin with is wonderful support already.
-
1 point@Kracken I can't speak for the others, but I do not have any experience in policing, my experience is only in EMS and nursing. However, I have always been interested in law enforcement and am strong supporter. I likely would have gone into law enforcement if I hadn't taken the route I did.

1 pointIt's been a busy, eventful and productive month for the Identity team at Asylum! Only a few weeks ago we released our first video showing real in-game content, the player housing system, and Identity has gotten a good bit of much-needed exposure! If you haven't seen the video, visit Identity's YouTube channel. Our programmers, especially Henrik Sonesson, have upgraded our inventory mechanics and created two new important gameplay systems these last weeks. The library which you'll have access to in the Town Square module is now in place and functional. Players can both read public domain classic books in-game, or even write their own and submit them to the library for other players to read. In addition, the NPC shop systems are now in place. When you enter most shops you'll be able to find the items you need on racks or displays around the store. Grab what it is you're looking for and then make your way to the cash register to make the purchase. In some places you can preview the items you're holding even before buying; for example, in a clothing store you can go into a change room. This system even allows for shoplifting some items, although player-crafted or very expensive items cannot be shoplifted on official servers. On the art front, we've brought on new artists and are continuing to build the world you'll be exploring. We've also been focusing on the interiors of buildings and characters. We've gotten our first facial hair assets and are approaching a complete character customization system. An overhaul of character skin and hair has Identity's characters looking incredibly life-like in comparison to other MMORPGs. Next on that list for a re-work is the eyes.
