Not a problem from what I can see. First off, he left Rockstar, so therefor he loses the Rockstar backing and the Rockstar feel, not to mention the financial support. Rockstar games are popular because of the brand name and the experienced team they have together, not because of a few people. He's leaving that all behind in hopes of bringing some of what he's learned through them to this new game, which doesn't necessarily guarantee it any success. Secondly, the development is just beginning. From what I've read on it, there are no clear plans, just ideas. It may turn out to be similar to Identity, or it may turn out to be a very different game with the same ideas. The great thing about games is that you can have multiple games of the same type, and each will be very different. I'm certainly not counting out Identity, nor am I fearing for it at this point in time. I have no doubt the developers here know what they're doing, and will deliver us a great product. From what I've seen, they're already surpassing the customizability and creation that is allowed with any GTA game.

Wow so many friendly people here, I'm so glad that Identity has this friendly of a following and are so supportive, I've got so high hopes on this game and these warm welcomes make it so much more certain. (Cheesy I know, but this really is something awesome) 1. I'm looking forward to how free this game will be and how I can become any job I want. I honestly think that if this game keeps a mature and friendly environment, its going to be something great. 2. My goals? well its kind of early to ask for goals but I think my goal would be to turn identity into a virtual utopia. I know its hard to do as its in human nature to be aggressive to strangers and only look out for yourself, but I think with the right people in power and the identity economy rolling strong, I think it might be a reality. Yeah, although a lot of questions are being answered, I feel like some heavy questions like "how do I make this, or that" or "how far can I go customizing this certain thing" have been left unanswered. Perhaps this is for the best as I'd prefer more secrets than answers until the game is playable just to make things more interesting when I play it. as for what I intend to do, the first thing I went to do after reading rules and trying to find out as much as I could about the game, was to create a private security company. It was something I always wanted to do and I feel like identity will be the closest I can to making a real life private security, perhaps even identity could become a trial run to see how it would cope in the business world. I feel if people are purposely not opening businesses because they see that their idea already exists they should still continue their ideas. It helps the economy, it creates competition, and it doesn't allow the other companies to take control and become too powerful over the market.

I think that games should have more explicit content. In your face, too. This is the 21st century, where sex is an integral, accepted part of our daily life (as in, less behind closed doors). Porn is everywhere, series like Game of Thrones are at an all time high and, let's be fair, most games feature female characters in "armour". I don't even need to go into detail on that. Sexualization and plain acceptance of sex being something of mankind is just part of the here and now. This game, should it indeed feature a more in-your-face location for explicit content, will be right there with all the other media of the 21st century. And countries that will ban the game for that are not only blind to what is happening all around them, but fools to think they will have any sort of grip on this progression whatsoever. This of course leaves the topic up for debate whether or not you agree with this progression or not, but opinion is something different than fact.

Hello guys, you both seem to be having a fight over who is right or wrong, well i will tell you. @cops6829 is closer to the truth. 1. The 1st module and 2nd module will release close together but the 3rd module (Racing) will take longer as it is a bit more complicated stuff and they could encounter things they have not anticipated for being that will be release by the end of this year or early next year. 2. Beta is said to be Early 2018 3. This leaves the Full Game to be Mid 2018 or after.

I'm speaking in the sense of crime. If you look at the forums 80% of it is populated by criminal organizations looking to hurt, rob, or sell weapons and drugs. When we remove firearms from people that means they can only use it for hunting and that's about it. I want them to feel protected and safe. And considering this won't be too much of a quiet Island I doubt we'd be able to have that peace. It happened many years ago, he's fine now of course but he nearly bled out.

It's been a busy, eventful and productive month for the Identity team at Asylum! Only a few weeks ago we released our first video showing real in-game content, the player housing system, and Identity has gotten a good bit of much-needed exposure! If you haven't seen the video, visit Identity's YouTube channel. Our programmers, especially Henrik Sonesson, have upgraded our inventory mechanics and created two new important gameplay systems these last weeks. The library which you'll have access to in the Town Square module is now in place and functional. Players can both read public domain classic books in-game, or even write their own and submit them to the library for other players to read. In addition, the NPC shop systems are now in place. When you enter most shops you'll be able to find the items you need on racks or displays around the store. Grab what it is you're looking for and then make your way to the cash register to make the purchase. In some places you can preview the items you're holding even before buying; for example, in a clothing store you can go into a change room. This system even allows for shoplifting some items, although player-crafted or very expensive items cannot be shoplifted on official servers. On the art front, we've brought on new artists and are continuing to build the world you'll be exploring. We've also been focusing on the interiors of buildings and characters. We've gotten our first facial hair assets and are approaching a complete character customization system. An overhaul of character skin and hair has Identity's characters looking incredibly life-like in comparison to other MMORPGs. Next on that list for a re-work is the eyes.

This is just a suggestion, Kinda? There are many opportunities to make money by working hard and putting in the man hours, however what if you could use your looks to make you money. What if we could have a strip club in the game where people can become strippers and "perform" for other people. It would add other ways to make money in the game. The strip club would of course have its own tipping system for people who are enjoying the performance to pay a little extra.

Hey guys, thanks for your concerns. Identity is absolutely still in active development, but we understand these concerns have a tendency to grow within the community each time we have become quieter than usual. We're a small team with limited resources so we spend a lot of that time focusing on development tasks. Development is our first love, and none of us are really experts at marketing or Public Relations. We definitely owe our fans a lot more attention than we've given, and admittedly, our PR game has been pretty poor. Until we get that sorted, you can actively find Paratus and I on the unofficial, fan Discord server. Message us anytime for any reason! I'm always around and available for a chat about anything you'd like to talk about. Paratus doesn't seem to check his messages quite as often, and the others don't seem to be very chatty on social networks, but we've extended invites to them for when they do decide to eventually join us. It's important to know that most game projects spend a few years in development before they are announced to the world. That gives them the added benefit of working without pressure from their communities. But Identity was announced when development started, so we've always struggled with knowing when to prioritize marketing over development being a small team, especially myself being both the Community Manager and a 3D artist on the project. It's been a challenge for me to switch between modes, and I regret that I haven't been very effective at it. As a quick progress update. Last week, on the art side, we finished up all of the remaining face sculpts, complete with textures and shaders, that you have seen us posting periodically on Twitter, and those, along with about 50 pieces of clothing (we still need so much more) are currently undergoing rigging. And on the programming side, we completed the karaoke feature, which we will test on Monday. I myself am working on 3d modeling a one bedroom apartment, as well as a hotel bedroom. These things will all be featured in the Town Square module as well as the completed game!
