2 pointsHello all of the Identity police community, my name is Ken I spent five years as a military police officer and would love to assist here. I have read many of you're posts over the past few days and seen many questions I could assist with along with the real life aspect. Tactical movements, communications, FPO (Force Protection Operations) and then yeah then general policing the everyday citizen. Myself and my girlfriend (Ayala) are both on the forums so feel free to contact either one of us. Hoo Yah

2 pointsThat's exactly what I'm trying to get away from, the GTA mindset. I'm looking forward to role players who will take it seriously, not simply beat up everyone they come across, or plow through people and property doing vehicle stunts. It seems to me that things in this game will take time and effort to obtain, and hopefully have real impacting consequences for criminal behavior.

2 pointsHowdy Kracken. Ive been a police officer since getting out of the Marines in 2003. Maybe I can help you teach these eager young whelps a thing of two. Welcome aboard. What the hell is wrong with you? You don't ask questions like that to people who have actually made a difference with their lives.
-
2 pointsMy names Eric. Currently in the process in becoming a Police Officer here in Canada. I've also been a civilian guard for detachments here. So I somewhat have a general knowledge in policing. I wouldn't mind assisting. To that note, I'd be looking for people that want to play the game, and not just be looking for a grand theft auto mindset to it.

2 pointsFrom what I understand, (I'm not a dev though so I can't say for 100% certain all of this is true) is there are an unlimited amount of apartments, each one is its own instance and does not have a physical place in the actual world (houses are unique and have a physical place though). This means that it doesn't mean how late you start, there will always be an apartment available. I imagine apartments within the same category (studio, luxury 1 bedroom, etc..) will look similar if not identical to other apartments in the same category. If you mean to sell the apartment, considering that you're technically renting it and that each apartment doesn't take physical space, you probably can't sell it, just move out. I'm not sure about the other things like the car. Considering each pack builds on top of the previous one, I assume the two-bedroom is an improvement. The "luxury" part of the one bedroom apartment probably just means it looks better than a normal one bedroom apartment.

2 pointsHey John! Welcome to Identity! We are happy to have you here. To answer your question about what you will need to run Identity smoothly, I have seen some posts that say that a computer that runs GTA 5 and similar games will be sufficient. I'm sure as the game gets closer to release, the developers will release what specs are required. Happy gaming! All the best, Bobby Cruz

2 pointsI didn't think of that, although I would still like to see it implemented though. (Possibly with multiple variants of the same animation so everyone doesn't look the same, possibly as an option for the host of the server to enable.)
-
2 pointsHello Kracken, and Identity community, My name is Nate and I myself am currently working as a Military Police officer. Though I haven't been in for long I've learned very key elements on enforcing the law, conducting large operations, community policing and in general how to be a great police officer. Hopefully when Identity is fully released I can join you in the police department.

1 pointI created a new topic in introduction as I suppose its the best place to do it. Why not have a picture of you so we put a face behind ? Here's me !

1 pointHello! I can't say that I've been following Identity for ages, but I can say, the past couple months I've been foaming at the mouth ever since I came across it. Finally, I made the leap and pledged... So y'all are stuck with me! Haha. A little about me; My name is Matt, I'm 26. I'm married to my beautiful wife and have 3 kids. I'm an avid law enforcement supporter, so chances are you'll see me there! I currently work for General Motors working with the sheet metal frames on Camaros and a few Cadillac models (the sedans/sports). So if you see any out on the road, you can think of your friendly neighborhood Matt. Anyways, much love, I cannot wait to put my mark into the Identity game world. Talk soon!

1 pointWelcome Eric we have spoke on the police forums but I just wanted to say hello once again. -Ken

1 pointI am so glad I don't work in that field anymore to be honest. Policing in today's world is much to dangerous now of course my policing experience were mainly US Military bases and foreign countries so yeah civilian policing I am at a loss for but I could imagine its easily transferable. Seeing @Lavics79, @xVAULTxDWELLERx, @TheLegend27, @GotYourSix, and @Kaitlyn, we have some experience with real life situations along with in game situations. To be honest this group could be a huge benefit to the developers and the community regarding the game play regarding policing. Also I wanted to put this out there but the governor is something we should all watch, question, and focus on who we want elected since it could make our job easier or harder. So far I have had some great talks with @BobbyCruz and he seems very flexable in regards to us and businesses. Below you will find our conversation: Edit: @Motown maybe our ideas and talk could help.
-
1 pointIt just gets somewhat easier if you previously made some sort of connection with the person. From there, you know where they are coming from. Today's policing is very different. But I have my personal opinion on that lol
-
1 pointI look forward in meeting new people. Of course every shape or form is good lol. I really like simulation games, and from seeing all the hard work that is being put into this game, I'm sure I wont be disappointed. My goals are probably unique. Although the law enforcement aspect does intrigue me, I've been wanting to see if I can make a difference in someone's experience in this game. I sure will use all resources available here and I wont be shy In asking. Thank you for the welcome!
-
1 pointExactly... I've been told I have an old fashion type of mentality about policing. You know. The one where walking the beat and actually building bridges with the community. Being there for them anyway you can. Its certainly something I'd like to bring to the table in this virtual world.
-
1 pointWell purchasing a real gun license means you get put in the a database which says when the police check that you have a gun license and purchasing one from the black market will just not put you in that database as it would be automatic. (I assume)

1 pointHello O'le chap and Welcome to the identity community! What do you look forward to most about Identity? What are your goals in Identity? Please read the 2 FAQ's which are linked in my signature. Please feel free to use the resources on this forum/ website to gather information on the game. If you have not found something within the resources, please don't hesitate to ask as everyone here is happy to help! Cheerio!

1 pointThe pledge options will change once the Town Square module is released, you cannot sell you apartment, but can rent it out to players. the only exclusive thing really is the extra in-game items you start with, while not giving players a huge advantage, you get a good start.
-
1 pointThere will be unlimited apartments. And before jamesluck1 says otherwise, I did check If you are willing to put a lot of hours into the game, paying a lot extra is abit of a waste. The good thing about it tho would be that you will greatly be supporting the game. Go ahead if you are confident though. .

1 pointTo answer your question about the crooked cops, I believe it is no. The devs want a very clear line between cops and criminals, but I'm sure some people will find their way around that. Bobby Cruz is correct in that a computer with the capability to run games, like Arma 3 and GTA V, will be sufficient. Finally, welcome to the community! I hope you enjoy it here!

1 pointI think that would just be adding unnecessary buttons. Surgeon Simulator works because you only need to focus on the hand. Keep in mind we don't want it like Arma where there are more buttons required then that are on your keyboard.
-
1 pointHi, welcome to Identity John! ^.^ Not sure about all of your questions, but I'm about 95% sure that some of the current pledges will be taken down/ increase in price once the first module is released (Q1 of 2017 which most people are saying is around March).

1 pointHello to all of you at the Police Precinct! I wanted to stop by and quickly introduce myself to you. My name is Bobby Cruz and I am running for Governor. Law enforcement is one of the most important aspects of our society and is the key to it running smoothly and safely. I want you to know that I appreciate what each and every one of you do on a daily basis for our community. I would love your input on how our campaign can improve in supporting you. Here are some questions I'd like to pose to all of you: What percentage of tax do you feel is sufficient for you to run an efficient, quality and successful police force? and What kind of gun control laws would you like to see implemented in our society that would best decrease the amount of violent crime? Thank you all for your time! Please feel free to visit my campaign home, linked below, and ask me any questions! All the best, Bobby Cruz

1 pointHeya Matt! Glad you could join us and take the leap faith! We're all just as excited here for the release of the game, and I believe that we can all make this a fun and immersive community! Also, I hope to see you on the police force as we may be working closely together and can benefit each other in the pursuit of justice. And get your wife in here, too! The more the merrier! Anyway, welcome to the community!
-
1 pointI was really thinking of it for the Roleplay aspect of it but yeah I can see it making it to easy to get away.
-
1 pointThank you so much for the answers Mr. Cruz I am really enjoying the idea of you in control of our government. And thank you for keeping an open mind about the ideas I brought up.
-
1 pointGreat to meet you Kracken! Thank you for reaching out to me to voice your opinions and ask these questions. Your idea on a fluctuating tax rate is very interesting and something I want to seriously consider. Having a solid relationship with the police force and police chief so that we can have conversations about what the police force needs quarter to quarter is a fantastic idea. I'm glad you are in agreement with us about gun control and I think that's a great point on bringing up restrictions and checks on gun shop owners to make sure there is no backdoor illegal selling. That's something we would definitely want to implement. To answer your questions: In case of a huge increase of crime would private security companies be considered? If crime became a serious and impending problem in the community and crime rate was very high, I would not be against contracting private security companies to assist the police force. If elected would you request a police escort? As of right now, I will not be requesting a police escort. Perhaps during large, community-wide events and special occasions, but as far as daily transportation, I don't think it will be necessary. If there is a threat to my safety or the safety of my team, I will not be hesitant in requesting one. How would you determine who becomes the police chief/would their be a vote? I love the idea of an election and voting process for police chief. In the beginning, one may need to be appointed depending on how the timing works out. However, rather than having me appoint each chief, I think letting the community decide is a much better and more inclusive alternative. What are your views on low level drug crimes? I imagine by "low level drug crimes" you mean crimes such as possession and possibly selling certain illegal drugs. This is a tricky one. However, I think a classification system of drugs could help us solve this question. If a drug is classified as extremely dangerous to society and one's health, then punishment will be more severe than somebody selling a drug that falls under a lower classification. I'm a big believer in rehabilitation rather than incarceration. Say we have an individual charged with selling their old prescription drugs. Instead of throwing them in a prison which takes up space and potentially surrounds them with much more dangerous criminals, having them do things like volunteer work, taking classes on how breaking the law can affect the community, and talking to people who have had past problems with addiction, in my opinion, is a much more effective method. Thank you again for taking the time to answer the questions that I have for the Police Precinct as well as asking your own. I truly appreciate this interaction and I am looking forward to building a great relationship with our police force! All the best, Bobby Cruz
-
1 pointHello Mr. Cruz, I want to wish you the best of luck in running for Governor and I really like that you reached out to the police force for opinions and ideas. So regarding the tax rate I think that is something that may change quarter to quarter depending on the needs of the police. When crime is down the funds being sent to the police should be lower, opposite when crime is on the rise. The chief of police should request the funds from the governor and then the conversation starts regarding whats being asked for. As for the gun control I agree with Sporan but to add strong restrictions/checks on gun shop owners because who knows guns could be sold back door at a huge profit to avoid checks. Just some Questions for yourself: In case of a huge increase of crime would private security companies be considered? If Elected would you request a police escort? How would you determine who becomes the police chief/would their be a vote? What are you're views on low level drug crimes? Thank you for you're time Mr. Cruz

1 pointFeel free to join when able! The link is in chat, and once we get a good amount of candidates we can begin discussion. Also, just wanted to commend @JoelKeys for the great idea again!

1 pointMajority of the people starting businesses are doing it for the role playing.for instance, there isnt content to run a private sucurity service, but you can create a business with a specific uniform and gun permit and role play as private security, or bodyguard. The game will have the basics, which will allow people to use their rp imaginations. You don't need specific content to role play. These forums are not for answering questions only, but for people to enjoy rp as well. (Which i see you have a very tuned love of) People are excited. They understand the state of the game. Most people have been here for the better part of a year and have been following the game. For people asking about the game, their questions are answered from reliable sources (twitter, reddit, and other dev interviews) or they are told where find them. About all these "hopes" that people have about the game, let them enjoy the time until release. What people are doing and saying in the forum does not negatively affect people why does it matter so much. When the game is released we will all see what content is provided. BTW I'm not trying to be rude, just have a different opinion on forum actions I guess. I only believe what I hear and see from the devs. If people do their research about the game like they should, then when they stumble across a role play with unverified info, then they should take it for what it is ( ie an entertaining role play)

1 pointI think it would do the opposite. Arma does it right, but I dont see how me walking down the street and seeing someone instantly break into a dance animation with the same animation as everyone else around them it would actually take away the sincerity of the roleplay and make it seem more like a joke. If you have ever played Gmod you will know how bad it is with full body moving emotes.

1 pointSporan, thank you for the warm welcome and kind words! Please take your time to think and discuss with your colleagues about taxes. I understand that this is an extremely important decision and I want to make sure that, if elected, our police force is being funded correctly. I agree with your opinion on guns. Guns will be difficult to obtain and those who do will have to undergo strict background checks, intensive training programs as well as psychiatric analyses. However, it will not be impossible, and those who wish to own a gun will be able to as long as they are willing to go through the process. Again, if you or anyone else have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! All the best, Bobby Cruz

1 pointThe last thing I want to be is insensitive, but I can fully imagine the ladies working at the club running in to some.. ah.. less desirable situations. Should you need legal representation at some point, remember that the Xilion Law Practise is there for you!

1 pointI was actually just thinking about something like this. I'd love to participate but it makes me wonder where the field/court would be.
-
1 pointI think it wouldn't be too hard for the devs to implement some kind of system like how it is on sims where you have a menu when it comes to building structers like how it has different sections for roofing, windows, walls ect but it dosen't look like it will happen. Besides that fact i like elegant houses that are big like these, I would love to see houses like these in the game
