2 pointsHello all of the Identity police community, my name is Ken I spent five years as a military police officer and would love to assist here. I have read many of you're posts over the past few days and seen many questions I could assist with along with the real life aspect. Tactical movements, communications, FPO (Force Protection Operations) and then yeah then general policing the everyday citizen. Myself and my girlfriend (Ayala) are both on the forums so feel free to contact either one of us. Hoo Yah

2 pointsThat's exactly what I'm trying to get away from, the GTA mindset. I'm looking forward to role players who will take it seriously, not simply beat up everyone they come across, or plow through people and property doing vehicle stunts. It seems to me that things in this game will take time and effort to obtain, and hopefully have real impacting consequences for criminal behavior.

2 pointsHowdy Kracken. Ive been a police officer since getting out of the Marines in 2003. Maybe I can help you teach these eager young whelps a thing of two. Welcome aboard. What the hell is wrong with you? You don't ask questions like that to people who have actually made a difference with their lives.
-
2 pointsMy names Eric. Currently in the process in becoming a Police Officer here in Canada. I've also been a civilian guard for detachments here. So I somewhat have a general knowledge in policing. I wouldn't mind assisting. To that note, I'd be looking for people that want to play the game, and not just be looking for a grand theft auto mindset to it.

2 pointsFrom what I understand, (I'm not a dev though so I can't say for 100% certain all of this is true) is there are an unlimited amount of apartments, each one is its own instance and does not have a physical place in the actual world (houses are unique and have a physical place though). This means that it doesn't mean how late you start, there will always be an apartment available. I imagine apartments within the same category (studio, luxury 1 bedroom, etc..) will look similar if not identical to other apartments in the same category. If you mean to sell the apartment, considering that you're technically renting it and that each apartment doesn't take physical space, you probably can't sell it, just move out. I'm not sure about the other things like the car. Considering each pack builds on top of the previous one, I assume the two-bedroom is an improvement. The "luxury" part of the one bedroom apartment probably just means it looks better than a normal one bedroom apartment.

2 pointsHey John! Welcome to Identity! We are happy to have you here. To answer your question about what you will need to run Identity smoothly, I have seen some posts that say that a computer that runs GTA 5 and similar games will be sufficient. I'm sure as the game gets closer to release, the developers will release what specs are required. Happy gaming! All the best, Bobby Cruz
-
2 pointsI didn't think of that, although I would still like to see it implemented though. (Possibly with multiple variants of the same animation so everyone doesn't look the same, possibly as an option for the host of the server to enable.)

2 pointsHello Kracken, and Identity community, My name is Nate and I myself am currently working as a Military Police officer. Though I haven't been in for long I've learned very key elements on enforcing the law, conducting large operations, community policing and in general how to be a great police officer. Hopefully when Identity is fully released I can join you in the police department.
-
1 pointHows everybody doin? My name is John. I'm 38 married with 3 kids, and have played video games since Atari 2600, console mostly with a few computer games played thru the years. I do not own a computer, and am buying one specifically because Identity looks like an experience i want to be a part of, and honestly dont want to miss out on. What will i need to run Identity smoothly? I am starting from scratch. I was curious about the criminal aspect of Identity, will there be crooked cops, lawyers and judges and others "on the take". How long will these current pledges be up, I want to get a system and need to know how long i have to make a pledge on the current system of prices and rewards. Looking forward to making my own "Identity".

1 pointWelcome Eric we have spoke on the police forums but I just wanted to say hello once again. -Ken
-
1 pointI am so glad I don't work in that field anymore to be honest. Policing in today's world is much to dangerous now of course my policing experience were mainly US Military bases and foreign countries so yeah civilian policing I am at a loss for but I could imagine its easily transferable. Seeing @Lavics79, @xVAULTxDWELLERx, @TheLegend27, @GotYourSix, and @Kaitlyn, we have some experience with real life situations along with in game situations. To be honest this group could be a huge benefit to the developers and the community regarding the game play regarding policing. Also I wanted to put this out there but the governor is something we should all watch, question, and focus on who we want elected since it could make our job easier or harder. So far I have had some great talks with @BobbyCruz and he seems very flexable in regards to us and businesses. Below you will find our conversation: Edit: @Motown maybe our ideas and talk could help.

1 pointI look forward in meeting new people. Of course every shape or form is good lol. I really like simulation games, and from seeing all the hard work that is being put into this game, I'm sure I wont be disappointed. My goals are probably unique. Although the law enforcement aspect does intrigue me, I've been wanting to see if I can make a difference in someone's experience in this game. I sure will use all resources available here and I wont be shy In asking. Thank you for the welcome!

1 pointWell purchasing a real gun license means you get put in the a database which says when the police check that you have a gun license and purchasing one from the black market will just not put you in that database as it would be automatic. (I assume)

1 pointYour Name: Joel Windsor Which Job Are You Interested In?: Model Why?: I understand that this job may not pay the best as indicated, but it is a great entry into the industry Why Should I Hire You Over Someone Else?: I will be mature and professional about this job and not make this company look bad Any Experience In The Fashion Industry?: No

1 pointThe pledge options will change once the Town Square module is released, you cannot sell you apartment, but can rent it out to players. the only exclusive thing really is the extra in-game items you start with, while not giving players a huge advantage, you get a good start.
-
1 pointThere will be unlimited apartments. And before jamesluck1 says otherwise, I did check If you are willing to put a lot of hours into the game, paying a lot extra is abit of a waste. The good thing about it tho would be that you will greatly be supporting the game. Go ahead if you are confident though. .

1 pointHi Eric! Welcome to the game and community! We're happy to have you! I want to wish you luck in the game, as well as real life in the exams, I'm sure you did great! Regardless of what path you choose in the game, I'm sure you'll bring amazing RP to the community, and a lot of fun for yourself and everyone. Also, I wouldn't knock the criminal profession too much, without them, we wouldn't need law enforcement. That whole, two sides of the same coin deal. We all have fun in our own way! Have fun, and good luck! If you have any questions, just pop it on the forum and somebody will definitely be kind enough to answer.

1 pointI'll install discord on my laptop and if you guys are up for this group discussion I'll happily contribute

1 pointTo answer your question about the crooked cops, I believe it is no. The devs want a very clear line between cops and criminals, but I'm sure some people will find their way around that. Bobby Cruz is correct in that a computer with the capability to run games, like Arma 3 and GTA V, will be sufficient. Finally, welcome to the community! I hope you enjoy it here!
-
1 pointpersonally i don't think GTA is a good comparison to this game
-
1 pointI think it'd be fun to own my own convenience store, that sells; clothing, food & drinks, house plants, and other things.

1 pointI think that would just be adding unnecessary buttons. Surgeon Simulator works because you only need to focus on the hand. Keep in mind we don't want it like Arma where there are more buttons required then that are on your keyboard.
-
1 pointI don't know what those are, sorry. lol. I have watched The Simpsons many times though.

1 pointIf there is one thing that will always help with immersion, it's gestures. General talking gestures (movement of hands our front), wave (steady hand up and the moving hand), hands on head, face palm, laugh (hands on stomach or flailing, Surprise (hand over mouth), Cheering, Point, If you see some Arma communities they have generic military gestures which people try to use. I feel the abInsert other media ove are a must to not only keep the immersion factor, but general communication would flow better and provide better RP situations. I really hope you consider this suggestion if you haven't already so that we may have some great RP scenarios involving gestures.

1 pointI don't mind at all. These are great questions. I really appreciate your support Kracken! Would tax rates go down when spending is down? This is something that could go along with your idea of fluctuating tax rates! Generally tax rates are fixed, but as said before, I am open to the idea of fluctuating tax rates, especially when certain economic factors like spending, consumption, etc, is high or low. Would you ever consider building your staff before launch so we all know who will be under power? I would actually like this to happen. Once the election process gets confirmed, I will actively be looking for members to immediately join the Governor's Cabinet, which will consist of a group of tight-knit and trusted individuals that will directly advise the Governor and assist with decisions. I will also open applications for those who would like to join any of our several committees as outlined in my campaign home page. How would you incorporate the police and local businesses together to assist each other? Relationships between local businesses and the police are important for a community to run efficiently. If the police force have the trust of business owners, they will be more willing to assist the police force, whether that be in small ways such as offering discounts for police officers or hosting events for the police Precinct as well as larger ways such as generous donations to the police force. Business owners need to know that the police force is dedicated to the safety of our community and that includes our local businesses. Whats the hourly pay for police? This is another thing, just like the policies and laws, that is hard to say until it is confirmed how much control the government will have in the game and what will already be established. Ideally, I'd like police officers starting wage to be $26 to $35 per hour, or about $50k to $60k a year, and increase as they gain more experience and receive promotions I hope I have answered your questions sufficiently! Thanks again Kracken! All the best, Bobby Cruz

1 point@BobbyCruz Hello Mr. Cruz, I actually have a few more questions for yourself if you don't mind. Would tax rates go down when spending is down? Would you ever consider building your staff before launch so we all know who will be under power? How would you incorporate the police and local businesses together to assist each other? Whats the hourly pay for police? I have seen and read you're campaign message and I really like what I have seen

1 pointThank you! I absolutely am itching for the immersion. I can't wait to experience the vast choice and careers. My main goal is to progress through the police career and find myself a nice little home. I plan on getting my wife to play as well, she's a singer in reality and is excited about that ability within the game.
-
1 pointThank you so much for the answers Mr. Cruz I am really enjoying the idea of you in control of our government. And thank you for keeping an open mind about the ideas I brought up.
-
1 pointPerhaps location-based emotions would help. I.e. dancing would not work outside but would work in a club. I agree though; gestures are a must.

1 pointMajority of the people starting businesses are doing it for the role playing.for instance, there isnt content to run a private sucurity service, but you can create a business with a specific uniform and gun permit and role play as private security, or bodyguard. The game will have the basics, which will allow people to use their rp imaginations. You don't need specific content to role play. These forums are not for answering questions only, but for people to enjoy rp as well. (Which i see you have a very tuned love of) People are excited. They understand the state of the game. Most people have been here for the better part of a year and have been following the game. For people asking about the game, their questions are answered from reliable sources (twitter, reddit, and other dev interviews) or they are told where find them. About all these "hopes" that people have about the game, let them enjoy the time until release. What people are doing and saying in the forum does not negatively affect people why does it matter so much. When the game is released we will all see what content is provided. BTW I'm not trying to be rude, just have a different opinion on forum actions I guess. I only believe what I hear and see from the devs. If people do their research about the game like they should, then when they stumble across a role play with unverified info, then they should take it for what it is ( ie an entertaining role play)

1 pointKeys has officially launched its public website. A forums for staff of Keys will be up and running soon, but for now you can look at the public page. We will be adding showcases of designs to it eventually when there is enough. You can access it here. Alternatively, you can copy and paste the following link into your search bar: http://www.joelkeys.site/

1 pointThe last thing I want to be is insensitive, but I can fully imagine the ladies working at the club running in to some.. ah.. less desirable situations. Should you need legal representation at some point, remember that the Xilion Law Practise is there for you!
-
1 pointI'm an officer in my local city, I'm not super active on the forums though. If you have any questions regarding policing in general just let me know.

1 pointTwo bedroom, two and a half bath (one being an ensuite for the master bedroom), open concept kitchen, dining and living room with a brick fireplace. 2 office spaces (one for being a library/office and the other being a music for a possible piano + other instruments, and definitely a basement. A nice lawn and garden area, a decent front porch area, open concept main level, I'd like a patio area in the back for entertaining and a large enough backyard. I'd also like to put a basketball hoop somewhere.

1 pointI don't think there will be or should be any skin aging. At some point realism just becomes annoying and as don't wanna get stuck playing some fat wrinkly old hag.
-
1 pointI think it wouldn't be too hard for the devs to implement some kind of system like how it is on sims where you have a menu when it comes to building structers like how it has different sections for roofing, windows, walls ect but it dosen't look like it will happen. Besides that fact i like elegant houses that are big like these, I would love to see houses like these in the game
-
1 pointi know with this game they will have good customisation, i will be a little like Grand Theft Auto, looks so fucking promising, I PRAY THIS DONT FLOP!!!!
-
1 pointI think this is the house from the transporter movie right? I hope there will be be similar houses like this by the coast near Turtle Beach. This is a Mediterranean-French style villa.
