2 pointsHey anxious players/Devs! So I came up with this idea an hour ago and I think it would be a good idea to add K9s and K9 Handlers. These are specially trained officers which obviously travel around with their K9 when needed - can be used in situations such as a drug busts, locating a suspect/s which has gone out of sight of police officers in the area and possibly other situations. The handler would be able to name, command and create a relationship with them. When you start your job, you choose the gender, name of your new battle pup and train it. Once ready to hit the streets, the handler would have a K9 Marked vehicle and would be ready to accept calls where the K9 is needed to subdue someone who is resisting verbal commands or is becoming physically violent towards officers or other civilians within the area. Pros to K9 Handler: 1) Adds more diversity to the Law Enforcement, other than the regular S.W.A.T. Units or other specialized units that may be already available. 2) Gives a more immersive experience to locating a perp when in pursuit of them as they would be able to pick up a scent should an article of clothing (example) be present that belongs to the perp, not just asking for any sightings of them or CCTV footage. 3) Drug busts could become more interesting and allow for more challenges in locating any hidden narcotics or other rec. drugs which would be legal, unless deemed legal by the President/Governor/Head of State etc. Drugs could be hidden under hard to reach places such as floorboards, frame of car etc or behind areas such as blocked passage ways only large enough for the K9 or a *Police EOD Bot to fit through 4) The K9 would automatically defend the officers should someone attempt to harm them (unless kept on leash ) or released from their leash. May be injured and/or killed in the line of duty as any other living, serving officer does. Cons to K9 Handler: 1) Custom sounds, models and walking/running/injured animations must be made along with implementation of A.I. specifically for the K9. 2) May be an unpopular job - meaning that the job would not be given enough attention worth for the amount of time/effort put into it to implement the idea. Thanks for reading this post, this is my first actual thread I've made - I attempted to add one about gun mechanics and I got signed out somehow, was super in-depth and took ages to write, never mind - as long as I can try to give any ideas along with everyone else I'm good! Looking forward to this game, hope it will be as feature packed and immersive as it seems to be as of the YouTube Demo video (looked brilliant by the way - well done, keep it going!) I will be getting the Founder rank hopefully soon before the prices change and whatnot! *Police EOD Bot - would have the ability to be remotely controlled and to view using a I.R./Heat Seeking camera with 360 degrees rotational view. Would be able to disarm simple/home made bombs or other explosives which pose a threat to the public. Similar as to the EOD Bot which can be found in Battlefield 3/4!

1 pointHey Guys, I thought I would share with you a little guide I designed a few years ago for businesses in Arma 3 Life. It's a simple business model that worked pretty well. It's more or less an algorithm for any business you choose to make. It allows for your employees to be paid, and will minimize them breaking off for sole profit. It is purposely written so that anyone can understand. --------------- Business Model System This is the business model system for maximum efficiency for any business. This model uses a percentage based pay and is designed to be easily modified and easily implemented. Here is the Key for the following guide: A- Overhead (This is the money you need to cover your expenses) B- Profit (This is the money you make after your initial investment has been covered) C- Employee Payroll (This is the money for you to pay your employees) D- Investors Payroll (This is the money to pay your investors) ----------------- Generally speaking you need to arrange all of your investors payroll and your employee payroll to only come from your profits. It is important to remember what your total investment is, your profit, and your payroll. Be sure that you keep an eye on your finances. This is an example of the business model: Your total Overhead (A) is $1000 You have one investor, who has invested $1000 into your business in exchange for 5% of your profit (B). This places a $20,000 valuation on your company. You have one employee plus yourself. Your employees and investors make 5% of your profits. From 100% of your profit (B), you now owe 10%, which leaves you with 90% of your profit. Your profit is $5000. This means that $250 goes to your investor, $250 goes to your employees. 90% of your profit or $4500 is now left over. You invest $2000 into your Overhead this time. You have the same amount of investors. Your company's valuation is still only $20,000. You have gained another employee plus yourself. You have banked $2500. If your profit from a $1000 investment was $5000, this means you made $6000 from the total investment. In turn you expect to make double because of your investment of $2000. This puts you at a $10,000 profit. 5% of $10,000 is $500. You pay your employees $500 and your investor $500. This leaves you with a total of $9000 profit. This algorithm is a progressive system. You do not have to pay any specific percentage, I was simply explaining the math with the easy percentages. ---------------- Q: Why would someone work for me, if they could make the same amount as me? A: Your employee pays no overhead, he uses your equipment, he uses your services, he uses your resources. He has no risk involved. If he is robbed, it is not his money he is losing. (Or She). Also, your employee will scale with more employees and more profit. Whereas if he were to do it all on his own, he would make the same singular profit without the ability to scale, unless he were to create his own company. (Or She). Not to mention, you could promote the employee to making more of a percentage. Q: Why not split the profits evenly? A: You can do that! Except you do need to take out your next expenses before dividing up the profit. Always cover your next venture. Q: Why bank the money? A: The reason for banking your money is insurance. If you are robbed, or an expensive piece of equipment is lost, stolen, or broken, you need to be able to cover those expenses. You pay yourself, the same amount as you pay your employees. You bank the remainder for upgrades and incidentals. Q: Is this the only system that works? A: Heavens no. There are many different systems that work, this is just an easy one to start with until you get your feet wet. ----------------------- Should you have any questions, or anything you would like to add to this guide (Business Model) please reply and leave a comment.

1 pointHello everyone! Some of you might remember that I had a thread on the old forum with an Imgur album containing all pictures posted by the developers on Twitter and Facebook. I just wanted to let you all know, both those who might have seen it but had forgot about it, aswell as new people who found it just now that it still exists and is updated as soon as a new picture is released. You can access it here, feel free to use it (or not use it) however you like. Take care!

1 pointI have some suggestions for the the firefighter career. I read that there is to be one type of firetruck. I am not sure if your planning on putting just a pumper in the game but I think a ladder truck( has the 100ft ladder on top of the truck) would be an awesome tool to put out fires in high-rises. Also, for another action for a firefighter to do, I read that the car accidents are going to be realistic. An idea is that if the accident is bad enough there is potential for a person to be trapped in their car and that could be another response as a firefighter.

1 pointSorry if this has already been asked the search bar isn't working on my ipad and my PC is in another country, but how will the beta work, im quite confused. I know that the modules will come first but will the beta be like any other game beta and be the whole game and things or will there be parts missing from it that they already know are going to be added to the main game like fire department or things like that.

1 pointHey welcome to the neighborhood! Glad to hear it, if you're interested in the mafia I would refer you to @Frank he runs a decently sized family and also has ambitions to create a "little italy" within our community in the town that we decide to take over. Sounds like you'd be a good fit, I'm sure there's plenty of space for a gun shop in their village. I encourage you to also join our discord and interact with our other members as well. Plenty of career opportunities within, and no particular rush at the moment. https://discord.gg/sh76s8Q

1 pointAge? -> 16-17 2) Location? -> Italy 3) How long have you been gaming? -> Mmh, i started at 7 with BadCompany2..so..a long time ago. 4) Which role do you currently prefer? -> Not so sure, i'd like something like a Gun Dealer...or why not, the mafia (u know, italy..mafia..it should be inside me right?). 5) PvE, PvP, or Hybrid? -> PvP is the best for me...kinda like the hybrid of altis life for example where you ve to farm, but a 100% pve..naah, not for me. 6) How many hours per week do you plan on playing? -> 2h a day during the week, and..20h in the weekend :D. 7) Why would you like to join? -> Well, i really don't want to enter in a Mmorpg that looks so cool and play solo...it would be really sad right :D? And i like this organization's style, it would be really cool to join

1 pointLook guys, this was just a simple question, it was a simple accident he gave false information, it was a mistake and it was just what he thought. Please just stop arguing it's pathetic.
-
1 pointKids that get what they want e.g. mostly "rich kids" they are spoilt brats and also if you get whatever you want from your family, you are just not getting the full potential your mum and dad should give you with attention. Money is not everything, Money is not Power. You need Money to sustain life but it is not important to have money if you care and give attention to your loved ones/ family. So please everyone stop arguing. @TheoGT That you see is nothing to do with his pledge. It is to do with posts.

1 pointPeople have had other players thinking or going to be potential investors for different people who have started structuring their company and showing the plans on the forum.

1 pointSAMP still suffers lag, latency, and ping issues. It is impossible not to have someone experience issues when you have anywhere from 150-900+ on a server. Ultimately it depends on the map size. SAMP even has issues with filling out the map with enough players. Asylum have seemed to have planned for this, making the state, one large body of land, and by limiting it to 300 players max for now. Also SAMP has been around for almost a decade now, and many of those servers took years to build to amount of traffic they have now. Perhaps in a few years after release, identity will have 1000 player servers

1 pointIs there an automatic system about when do stores Open/ Close? so it opens at 9:00 am and closes at 8:00 pm except small markets and bars and pharmacies that are open 24 hours. jobs need to be closed at a certian time

1 pointYou better settle down with that hostile attitude. I wasn't lying, I was mistaking the modules for the beta. So you need to calm down and just correct me if I am wrong, not go on a hissy fit because you cannot control yourself. Also reporting to the devs for false information isn't a thing. This is a forum, where the community discuss the game and bond together. Just calm down citizen.

1 pointNice graphics, Chuck! You're definitely in! Also, THOMASHETCH, considering that houses won't be able to be broken into, I don't think they're will be a need for a security detail. There are some security companies on the forum though that you might be interested in.

1 pointIt will subtract the amount you have already paid from your lower pledge. e.g. yes it will be $15 after you have the $15 Citizen pledge. However the offers/ packages on the store will be heavily changed or gone when the first module come out.

1 pointOk first of all hellot i just discovered the comunity and the game but i have a pretty important question for wich maybe you guys know the answer but i don't you see i've been waiting for this game for years.. it is all i want but i have tried in many other games to roleplay but you always get trolled, there is always some people that just want to annoy other people because they feel about doing that there are many exapmples like police who don't roleplay well (too much abuse etc) or just a new player that gets a gun and kills people for fun... etc my point is that i like to roleplay but sometimes troll dont let us do it so is there some kind of punishment o something for people who arent doing things well and just making other players life harder? idk if i explained myself well enough but i just a vague question i had
-
1 pointYeah but the town square is taking the longest time as because the devs had to create the core game mechanics and get the sorted which is the longest/ hardest parts of the game to do! This means it will be shorter time waiting for the 2nd and 3rd modules and beta being towards the End (Q3 - Q4) of 2017.

1 pointgreat stuff, well formatted. glad to see someone laying out a proper legal standard - almost makes me want to become a lawyer btw is the Latin, 'Truth Conquers All', or 'Truth Always Conquers?'

1 pointInjuries and bullet impacts will be realistic, so if someone gets shot in the leg once that leg will become limp and they will need to heal it someway. Things like this could get annoying and could always be adjusted.
-
1 pointLike @mezdoo sad, most likely around or after the release of the first module. Chances are the video will be previewing/exploring the module, or something that relates with the module.

1 pointTo put the topics you can read in this section a bit in context, I'd say there is some mixture of initiatives based on what we know and some of them including a bit of hype on top of it, so the end result may or may not be 100% what you can actually expect in the final game. Let's not forget that, so far, we know that there will be lots of possible activities the player can take, jobs and careers, and some of them have been more defined than others. There are business the player can own, such as stores, but some others the players cannot own, such as night clubs. Even if you own a shop, there is probably an NPC taking care of it, since you are not expected to sit in your shop all day waiting for people to come in. Other kind of activities allow us to begin establishing our business, such as lawyers, truck drivers, furniture manufacturers... the details how each of these businesses will work is not yet so clear. Finally there is also the emergent gameplay. Guns will be rare, but maybe a dedicated gang can try and get them and organize their group, then offer their services in a wide variety of ways. Those may not be a business in game 'per se', but nothing stops you from actually making it work. That said, you don't need to announce your business here and, depending on what business you are thinking of, you certainly could open one similar to another and compete. I have only seen that servers will have a cap in the number of government players and cops, but saw nothing about businesses cap.

1 pointWill I be the guy who runs up the price on commodities I possess in large quantities just so I can get rich overnight while everyone else squirms? Maybe! Also, I could double down as a loan shark when prices are too high for you to afford things in a reasonable time frame, doubling my earning potential! I am gonna need to choose my friends wisely...

1 pointToday we publish the first Identity Insider update, bringing you detailed information about key systems in Identity. Our website has expanded with a small page detailing corporations and their classes, also available below: Corporations in Identity You've made a lot of cash working odd jobs, or maybe even the odd less-than-legal task; now that you've had a taste of success, it's time to forge an empire. Corporations will allow the successful with a little extra cash to become driving forces in Identity's dynamic economy. Corporations are organizations similar to, but separate from, gangs and other social structures. They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees. Some assets, such as the largest cargo trucks, are available only to corporations. Once formed, the corporation is assigned a telephone number for public contact and the director (owner) can build a logo using an in-game design tool. It's then time to hire a staff and get to work. Classes of Corporations Delivery Delivery corporations can buy large vehicles for big hauls, vehicles not available to the general public. While any player can deliver goods in vehicles such as vans, to get the big-bucks you'll need to join a corporation. Legal Let's face it, crimes happen and criminals are going to be arrested. They'll need someone on the outside to convince the jury that they did nothing wrong. This is where legal corporations come into play, and their services aren't always cheap. Transportation People need to get from point A to point B and they don't always have the means to do that themselves. Transportation corporations own special vehicle assets including taxis and more, helping those in need get where they need to be. Manufacturing From the shoes on your feet to the sofa under your seat, almost everything in Identity is built and crafted by other players. Manufacturing corporations give their employees access to a wider variety of constructables and resources, for a cut of the profits. Always Expanding As with most things in Identity, we at Asylum will constantly be expanding this system adding new classes of corporations and building on those already available. Identity's release is only the beginning. If you have any ideas for a well-suited corporation class, let us know on the forums.

1 pointHello, love the business model. Id like to focus on the delivery side of the business. I hope we can get some insight to see how we can communicate easily with the producers to negotiate delivery services to advertise in-game and maximize growth. I have a few ideas I want to throw into the wind, and I'd also like to mention I am up to have this as my number one priority in-game if we can work together in the future. Security - Depending on the profitability of each shipment, security should be laid out as a scalable measure depending on possible profit loss vs. danger of loss of shipment. This early in development it's hard to see how bad hijacking of shipments and gangs will pose as a risk for these deliveries. I believe this can be a very profitable side of the business that we can charge heavily for and recruit very effectively for employment. Template guide for security scales follows: 1. Driver (No security) - $ 0 extra charge 2. Driver + 1 armed guard (pistol) - $ 5000 (possibly include this for free for every shipment?) 3. Driver + 1 armed guard + 1 follow car with 2 guards $ 10000 4. Driver + 1 armed guard + 1 follow car with 4 guards. $ 20000 Delivery charges - up for debate, but I'm thinking most shipments will be picked up at one location, and drove straight to delivery point. Meaning most shipments won't matter on how much size they take up in the trailer for the delivery company, as costs will be the same. Meaning there is no incentive for the farmer to produce a full trailer load before pickup, but will cost us for small shipments. I believe in a flat rate for a delivery based on hourly rate or distance instead of trailer space. This will allow for scalable security per customer. Leaving trailers to fill for reliable customers - this one is straight forward. We see a very productive producer. We leave trailers to fill on their property. We swap with an empty trailer when they call for pickup. This will help build partnerships early in game for a reliable source of income Providing harvesters for farmers - if we see an influx of employees without much work this would be something to consider. We provide people to the producers as employees. They provide land, we harvest and they get a small cut of profits while we take home most of the income. This would allow the farmers to leave the game, deliveries still be harvested from their resources, and both sides see continuous profits as long as we have somebody trustworthy online to manage the transactions. Supervisors and departmentalizing the company - First of all, I am again only going to focus on delivery services as described above. I am going to breakdown a rough draft of the idea I have to manage these assets effectively: Board of directors receives 25% of profits for growth Logistics COO - 25% of profits - 1 person - Head of delivery service (planning, troubleshooting) - performs all tasks underneath for inactive positions - requests purchases from board of directors - validate books for department 1. Delivery purchaser - 25% of profits due to large workload 1-4 people - Negotiations - Book keeping (possible addition of secretary) - communication between customer and dispatcher (between drivers and customers if dispatcher is inactive) 2. Delivery dispatcher - 25% 1-4 people -Simple delivery requests -Trailer drop offs/pickups -Security requests -harvesting requests 3. Drivers - 50% of revenue from shipments (Fuel and repairs from accidents come from drivers 50%) 1-4 people 4. Security division - 75% revenue of security contracts ( all money will be split between manager and all employees who worked job) A. Security manager 1-2 people - Delegate security contracts - Delegate details for harvesting requests - provide legal money making schemes for security in down time B. Security detail 1-20 people This set up is scalable from 3 people (COO, 1 Driver, 1 security) to 35 people for a working profitable empire. Let me know what you think. Sincerely, Future Core Transport employee, TheJuiceman
