3 pointsIt's been a busy, eventful and productive month for the Identity team at Asylum! Only a few weeks ago we released our first video showing real in-game content, the player housing system, and Identity has gotten a good bit of much-needed exposure! If you haven't seen the video, visit Identity's YouTube channel. Our programmers, especially Henrik Sonesson, have upgraded our inventory mechanics and created two new important gameplay systems these last weeks. The library which you'll have access to in the Town Square module is now in place and functional. Players can both read public domain classic books in-game, or even write their own and submit them to the library for other players to read. In addition, the NPC shop systems are now in place. When you enter most shops you'll be able to find the items you need on racks or displays around the store. Grab what it is you're looking for and then make your way to the cash register to make the purchase. In some places you can preview the items you're holding even before buying; for example, in a clothing store you can go into a change room. This system even allows for shoplifting some items, although player-crafted or very expensive items cannot be shoplifted on official servers. On the art front, we've brought on new artists and are continuing to build the world you'll be exploring. We've also been focusing on the interiors of buildings and characters. We've gotten our first facial hair assets and are approaching a complete character customization system. An overhaul of character skin and hair has Identity's characters looking incredibly life-like in comparison to other MMORPGs. Next on that list for a re-work is the eyes.

2 pointsAnd also @Fakeout @GeneSmith said it on the dot, the 3 modules are closed off areas which are parts of the map. the "town square" module is the "town square" of the biggest of the main 3 cities "Ash Hill". The S.W.A.T. Module I am not sure but will be the bank from one of the 3 major cities and the Racing module will be a closed off area of either a race track or a road. The Beta will include the full map and will be the closest thing to the full game.

1 pointHey Guys, I thought I would share with you a little guide I designed a few years ago for businesses in Arma 3 Life. It's a simple business model that worked pretty well. It's more or less an algorithm for any business you choose to make. It allows for your employees to be paid, and will minimize them breaking off for sole profit. It is purposely written so that anyone can understand. --------------- Business Model System This is the business model system for maximum efficiency for any business. This model uses a percentage based pay and is designed to be easily modified and easily implemented. Here is the Key for the following guide: A- Overhead (This is the money you need to cover your expenses) B- Profit (This is the money you make after your initial investment has been covered) C- Employee Payroll (This is the money for you to pay your employees) D- Investors Payroll (This is the money to pay your investors) ----------------- Generally speaking you need to arrange all of your investors payroll and your employee payroll to only come from your profits. It is important to remember what your total investment is, your profit, and your payroll. Be sure that you keep an eye on your finances. This is an example of the business model: Your total Overhead (A) is $1000 You have one investor, who has invested $1000 into your business in exchange for 5% of your profit (B). This places a $20,000 valuation on your company. You have one employee plus yourself. Your employees and investors make 5% of your profits. From 100% of your profit (B), you now owe 10%, which leaves you with 90% of your profit. Your profit is $5000. This means that $250 goes to your investor, $250 goes to your employees. 90% of your profit or $4500 is now left over. You invest $2000 into your Overhead this time. You have the same amount of investors. Your company's valuation is still only $20,000. You have gained another employee plus yourself. You have banked $2500. If your profit from a $1000 investment was $5000, this means you made $6000 from the total investment. In turn you expect to make double because of your investment of $2000. This puts you at a $10,000 profit. 5% of $10,000 is $500. You pay your employees $500 and your investor $500. This leaves you with a total of $9000 profit. This algorithm is a progressive system. You do not have to pay any specific percentage, I was simply explaining the math with the easy percentages. ---------------- Q: Why would someone work for me, if they could make the same amount as me? A: Your employee pays no overhead, he uses your equipment, he uses your services, he uses your resources. He has no risk involved. If he is robbed, it is not his money he is losing. (Or She). Also, your employee will scale with more employees and more profit. Whereas if he were to do it all on his own, he would make the same singular profit without the ability to scale, unless he were to create his own company. (Or She). Not to mention, you could promote the employee to making more of a percentage. Q: Why not split the profits evenly? A: You can do that! Except you do need to take out your next expenses before dividing up the profit. Always cover your next venture. Q: Why bank the money? A: The reason for banking your money is insurance. If you are robbed, or an expensive piece of equipment is lost, stolen, or broken, you need to be able to cover those expenses. You pay yourself, the same amount as you pay your employees. You bank the remainder for upgrades and incidentals. Q: Is this the only system that works? A: Heavens no. There are many different systems that work, this is just an easy one to start with until you get your feet wet. ----------------------- Should you have any questions, or anything you would like to add to this guide (Business Model) please reply and leave a comment.

Once the customer is satisfied with their choice of art piece(s), it is up to you to close the purchase and offer a bill of sale to confirm both the sale and the art's originality. The salary for this position is purely dependent on the quantity and quality of the art pieces you sell. make sure to log the amount of sales you make per day and verify this with copies of your bill(s) of sale(s), only to be handed in directly to me (the CEO) at the end of the day, or if I am not present, the store manager, and if not present so on down the chain of command. Art Promoter (5 needed) You will constantly be on the road, visiting different towns and cities to make sure our client's art pieces are appropriately displayed. Custom Artist (An art piece that YOU made must be present at the interview for verification of your skill)(No More Positions!) Possibly one of the hardest positions to fill at our company, it will also be the most rewarding, both financially and personally. You will be tasked with creating custom art pieces upon customer request. This may involve the customer in question sitting down in a pose or stature, and you captivating that figure onto the canvas, or possibly the customer conveying what they want verbally, and you taking notes and later creating the very masterpiece they desire. This position requires serious artistic skill and is not suited for everyone. Art/Literature Teacher This position as well is very suited to that of the artistically creative, as well as to the charisma and teacher within you. Not only must you be able to paint at a near expert level (not equivalent to that of the custom artist but admirably close), you must also be able to convey your skills upon your pupils in a way that makes them a fine creator, while at the same time not completely giving away your artistic secrets. The same would apply for the Literature professor, as you would have to be able to have great linguistic skill as well as knowledge in editorial and other correctional skills, obviously, all required in this profession. Staff CEO/Founder: @KingBen1223 Chief Editor (In Charge of the Literature Aspect of Bob Ross Inc): @WhtGhstBlckGhst Custom Artist (5/5, but still feel free to apply): @Broccoli, @mrbeardma, @KiddoRampage , @lemonsxorange, @J-REMY Art/ literature Professor : @WhtGhstBlckGhst (Literature) 1 MORE NEEDED FOR ART TEACHER Art Promoter: 5 STILL NEEDED Store Artisitc Advisers: 5 STILL NEEDED Logo Designer: @whitehorn MORE POSITIONS ON THE WAY!!! 1 pointDenver crime family Welcome to Family, also known as Smaldone Mafia. We have made many connections so we can handle the crime safely. We are looking for more loyal men that enjoy the Mafia style role playing. This crime family will control everything from the production of drugs, the dealers on the streets, the weapons trade, smuggling, hijacking, robbery, and whatever else we need to do to get that money. Everything illegal happening on the streets will belong to "us". This means if there is a petty dealer dealing on our streets, well, let’s just say he won't be there for very long without paying some fees. On top of all the crime, and money, we are a family, we support each other in times of need, and stand on the building blocks of loyalty that this family operates on. We will be a Suit Mafia, wear suits, drive nice cars, and we treat everyone with respect, unless they disrespect us. Join this family, and have a lot of fun in identity, and make lots of money while doing it. Who can join? Basicly anyone who like the crime playstyle, and mafia type scenarios, then it's perfect for you. What will we do? We will do all the things a Mafia does. We will control the drug dealing in the towns, with dealers operating under us, giving us a cut of what they make, and we give them more product. We will control illegal gun trading in the world, doing big role play like deals, with other Family's. We will break the legs of anyone trying to take our turf, and if it becomes necessary, use our assets to have them taken care of. This is just a glimpse at what we will do when the full game is out. Climb the ranks? You can climb the ranks of the Mafia family and become high up and powerful, and make a name for you, and your family, on the game identityRPG. RANKS: It's nothing with money to do really, its more likely how loyal you're to the family, how many hours you play the game but if you really want fast rankup it would be to donate to the family. 1st, Associates: Associates are not actual members of the Family but rather anyone who teams up with them on a criminal enterprise of some kind. They could be someone who does business with the mob, including money-laundering bankers, crooked cops, lawyers, politicians, drug dealers, etc. There are also the Italian newcomers who have yet to be made, called cugines, and they play a minor role in the operation of the Mafia. Associates are also fair game on the streets, they are not protected by the organization. Anybody can be an associate in the mafia, however only Italians and Sicilians can be made. Bring in $200 into the family, and prove yourself to the family to rank up. (Soldier) 2nd, Soldier : The lowest-ranking members of the hierarchy of the Mafia and (La Cosa nostra / this thing of ours) are the soldiers, the grunts of the organization who do the majority of the work, making deliveries, picking up cash, and generally sticking out their neck in the hope of making a name for themselves by demonstrating their loyalty to the organization. Bring in $2100 into the family, and prove your loyalty to the Denver to rank up. (Enforcer) 3rd, Enforcer: You will be tasked with doing some... shall I say, dirty work. Now don't get ahead of yourself, you’re not a hitman. You will be an enforcer on the streets, intimidating, and maybe even kidnapping people who disagree with our rules on the streets. You will also be able to take soldiers and associates with you on jobs such as robberies and other various tasks. Bring in $10,000, 1 new recruit, prove that you deserve this promotion, and complete one mission for the boss to rank up. (Caporegimes) 4th, Caporegimes: You will be in charge of territories and men. You will have your soldiers and associates, although this does not make it a competition between you and other capos, it is just that you are at the stage of control. You will have more leeway to do jobs and activities of higher caliber. Remember, we are a family, so no matter where we are, we always help each other. The capo can also give his own jobs and assign his own tasks to enforcers or soldiers, if he/she is confident they can get it done. Bring in $20,000 to the family, and 3 new recruits, show you are ready, and complete various tasks for the boss to rank up. (Underboss) 5th, Underboss: he underboss, is second-in-command in the hierarchy of the Mafia crime family. His level of authority varies from family to family, but he is ready to stand in for the boss at any given moment. In the violent and volatile world of the mob, the underboss can easily find himself at the helm of the family so, for the most part, they are usually groomed for an eventual takeover. (Limit slot 1-2) RULES 1. Be loyal to members of the organization. Do not interfere with each other’s interest. Do not be an informer…. 2. Be rational. Be a member of the team. Don’t engage in battle if you can’t win….The directive extends to personal life. 3. Be a man of honor. Respect womanhood and your elders. Don’t rock the boat…. 4. Be a stand-up guy. Keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut. Don’t sell out….The ‘stand-up guy’ shows courage and ‘heart.’ He does not whine or complain in the face of adversity, including punishment, because ‘If you can’t pay, don’t play.’ 5. Have class. Be independent. Know your way around the world. 6. No Snitching, no talking to cops, civilians, or even your own sweet mother about things we do. 7. All rats will be caught, you won’t last long as a rat, we'll have people watching over everyone, and you will meet our special tool. 8. All money collected on family related jobs, will be split to 75% for those who "collected" the money, and 25% for the family. 9. Family money is not one man’s money, it is the money we use to further our organization, whether that be buying a poor soldier a suit, buying more cars for the family, getting "merchandise and tools" for the family, it all goes to the family, not just one man’s personal pleasure. 10. Steeling from the family is not smart, as this makes you a thief to the family, and that breaks this rule, and rule #3. Not only does the Boss himself despise people who steal from the family, but everyone does as you are stealing from everyone, as that money could be spent towards the family and gaining even more money. If you’re short on cash, Boss' hold back your % on jobs, simply ask someone for a loan, or even the boss himself doesn't mind loaning money to his family members, because that's what we do. 11. Don't do ambitious jobs or activities that could jeopardize the family organization without consulting the Boss. 12. Along with the roleplay fun of the family, take some time off once in a while and just have fun, try other jobs, it is a new game and if you want to try new things, just take a break, ask the Boss. 13. Always have your family's back. 14. As an associate or soldier, before committing any crime at all, ask a superior if it is ok. 15. Last but not least, if you’re caught, it was your individual choice to do what you did and you had no influence from anyone else. Sometimes you just got to eat some dirt to keep your family safe. This will not go unnoticed as sacrifice, is a quality of a very loyal man. 16. Close members of the Family's won’t be selling drugs, personally delivering illegal shipments, etc. This will be for outsiders that are under our control. This is to keep the crime semi disconnected from the family and helps insure the integrity of our operations. 17. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, are you to discuss plans, activities, operations, etc., with anyone outside of the family. Doing this will make you a RAT, and you know what happens to rats. Please message me if you are interested. Best regards, Tongi, boss of Denver crime family

1 pointI'm seeing a lot of companies that are making complicated leadership structures that are completely unnecessary. If you're a startup company, you don't need managers and co-managers, and intermediate employees and journeyman employees and starting employees etc. Generally, you're company is going to have 2, maybe 3 jobs that is required for it to run profitably and that's it. It's also only going to need a 2 level leadership hierarchy. The boss (you) and the employees. Another thing I see companies doing, is blatantly lying to their potential customers and potential employees about the size of their company. Do NOT do this. While in the short term it might make you stand out to act all high and mighty, people will see through it. Most companies already do this, and it's only going to hurt them in the long run. It will hurt you because you won't be able to uphold the expectations you set up for yourself and no one will trust you. TLDR: Don't make stupid leadership hierarchies, you don't need them. Don't lie about being the biggest company in the game: You're not.

1 pointI was told by my friends in Arma 3 RP server that there is so called new game were you can be anything. I doubt that it will be possible, in my opinion this game will be same as no mans sky was, because letting a player do ANYTHING will take you a decade to develop such a game. But that's just my opinion. I came here to ask some questions about the game that I can't clearly understand. 1) Regarding PD. I love roleplaying as a police officer and this question is regarding detectives. Will they add undercover cop cars for detective work? If not I recommend implementing them, if you want to have realism in game. 2) Again regarding PD. Outfits and uniforms for each ranking officer. How will they look? I would suggest taking a look from real life LAPD outfits and implomenting them. 3) Government. How will system work. Will there be a Mayor or a president? Can he regulate taxes and make laws take down businesses? 4) Criminals. How will criminals RP? Will there be such thing as initiation, which I hate in Arma RP, in order for them to start the robbery or how is it going to be? 5) Vehicles. Will vehicle handling be same as in Arma or GTA 5? What will be the top speed of sports vehicle? Will there be an option to be a street racer and have your car tuned and have NOS system? 6) Businesses. How will business system work for player? Lets say I own a 24/7 shop. Can I employ people by inviting them into business faction or how will that work? You see I am very sceptic about this game. They say they will make it so player can anything they can imagine. I say you need 10 years to make this game like you told us in your YouTube video. I might be wrong and this game becomes by far the best game I will ever play but I better stay sceptic and see what Devs can show with this game before I put my hopes up. Please answer as detailed as possible so I know what to expect. So I better know what I am buying before wasting my money, like many did with No mans sky. Have a lovely day/night/evening.

1 pointWill players be able to design their own tattoos and tell the tattoo artist to give them the tattoo, or will we be strictly limited to the tattoos the developers make for us? It would be really cool to see gangs be able to have certain tattoos representing that they are a part of that gang. Also, would tattoos be permanent to a point where you must pay to have laser surgery to get them removed or will there simply be a menu that says "No Tattoos" or "Remove Tattoos"? Thanks in advance for your answers, Capped, CEO of Best Stop Supermarket

1 pointDescription: Let’s let this serve as a resume of sorts. I'm a Criminal "Fixer" The name’s Atos “Jack” Constantine. But you can just call me Jack. Why, you ask? It’s on account of me being the proverbial “Jack-Of-All-Trades” kind of criminal and you can hire my company, “Croatoan, Inc.” to "fix" just about anything you need criminal. Right now it just consists of me but I will be hoping to grow our number in the future. But I assure you, my loyalty comes at a price and it is short-lived to the specific amount of time you hire me for. One day I could be hired to provide security for your shipment and the next I could be the one stealing it. I will complete every task to the best of my expert abilities. However, There are some jobs that just don’t require my skill set. After all, you wouldn’t hire a brain surgeon to mow your lawn. They have the ability but it’s just not worth it. Services: My company will provide almost any service you can think of including but not limited to: Armed Escort/Security Bodyguard Consultations High-end Theft Jobs Wheelman “Cleanings” Assassinations (Political or Regular Hits) Fixer …and much more. Never hesitate to ask if I’ll do the job. The worse I can say is “No”… Skills: So, I am a Police Officer as well as in the military IRL, so I do have quite a bit of experience with strategy as well as majority of the skills required for this line of work. The more jobs I get, the more experience I’ll get and the better I can serve you in the future. Rates: All jobs will be assessed on the spot and rates will be given then. I will take into account several factors when determining the cost of the job: Cost to myself/my company Income of the Requestor Difficulty of the job Resources required for the job Amount of time job will take …and yes, you read that correctly. I will take the income of the requestor into account for the rates. Everybody’s got to start somewhere and why should my services be out of reach to some of the little guys? Hell, I’ll be one at the beginning. Summary: I’m going to try my best to be reachable. Feel free to PM me if you would like to join my company “Croatoan, Inc.” and get this off the ground as well as make it more elite. I’m not going to be extremely picky on who I hire and you very well may be a partner depending on you skill set. My main hope is to eventually build a team of highly and diversely skilled individuals. Never hesitate to contact me with a job offer. Like I said before, I’m very loyal for the period of the job. What’s the worst that could happen?
-
1 pointI sure hope so for this one, could be very useful for us criminals.

1 pointI like that this game will be rated for adults, though that won't stop minors from showing up. Best we can do is accept that there will be a few. Thankfully, they should be a minority since this game's target audience age ranges in the 20's. Of course, as Shadow pointed out, there will be immature adults too. There's immature people everywhere. People will be people. Overall, this community's member ages do generally match the game's target audience, or at least what I perceive to be the apparent target audience.

1 pointYou are correct, there would be less guns in total. However, you are wrong to say that it would solve crime, as you are only removing guns from law abiding citizens. Those who wish to do crime, would still have guns nonetheless.
-
1 pointLess guns isn't better, legal and Permitted guns are better. Taking Weapons away prevent the society from properly arming itself against its own government, if there is a need to revolt. Limiting or banning all guns will just created a major underground market of illegal weapon sales. The only portion of society that would iad is the criminal element, not the peaceful citizens.
-
1 pointHe'll yes it does. Rumors were going around that the Pres wanted to take away all guns which is against the 2nd Amendment and every gun owner were ready to revolt. And you're idea isn't even gun control. You just want all guns banned. Real gun control us licensing, permits and background checks. That's real him control.
-
1 pointGuns dont kill people. People kill people. There's always a finger behind the trigger. Gun licensing and permits are the best thing to do. Banning all guns will cause a revolt.

1 pointmaybe jail time can be max 45 but prison 5-6 hours so you get to be in prison and play it out the gang wars and stuff it sounds like that a lot can happen in prison so let it take time.
-
1 pointJail time should be longer than 45mins, in all seriousness, i believe it should last upto 24hrs (depending on crime) There should also be a reputation aspect like they have in "Life is Feudal" if you kill someone or steal ... then you get noticed more .. to a point where cops can track you (e.g when you're in public and close to an officer, not in a building)... The reason i say Jail time should be 24hrs, for one there should be a game aspect in this, trying to break out... meeting other "criminals" ... This also prevents spawn revenge and allows the "criminal" to "learn from their mistakes" .. or become smarter at avoiding being captured again. I look forward to see how this game works against others out there that i run (a lot of people are sick of games where they grind and loose everything to raiders)

1 pointCrime really shouldn't be conspired a bad thing to do on the game. Crime is just as important as everything else, without it police would be almost useless. 45 minutes max sentence lets, people who choose the life of crime, have plenty of time to enjoy the game.
-
1 pointI feel as if jail time should be longer than 45mins just because it has to be long enough to stop encouragement of everyone going into crime. Far too many people will want the quick buck and if the jail time is not long enough people will not worry about it as much and are much more likely to commit crime. However if they commit a crime and are in jail for a couple of hours they will be less tempted to try and make quick money. You dont want everyone to go into crime because then it will be just like ArmA 3 Life
