2 pointsHey there @LucaPlays, please use the search bar located at the top right of this page since this has been answered multiple times already. It's unclear exactly what type pf PC specs you will need to run Identity since it is too early in development, but if you can run games like GTA 5, ArmA 3 or Ark then you can run Identity.

2 pointsWhile every mobster or "wise guy" is different than the other, a standard template can be established for how they live. Characteristics: A wise guy usually has a bad temper. They can't hold down a normal job because they won't take orders from people that they perceive as lower in power than them. (Such as most other men, and all women, except for their mother/grandmother). So to make a living, they take from those that deserve it. (Atleast most of the time.) A wiseguy respects women, but does not let them step over him. He is the boss of his house. He must be self confident; a weak man would never last as a mobster, whether it be mentally or physically weak. A wiseguy isn't necessarily rascist or sexist, but he isn't politically correct either. Clothing: The suit: It can be blue, it can be black, it can have a tie, it can be open collar. Mobsters can wear a variety of suits, as long as they aren't too tight or hipster looking. The suit is the business attire of a mobster and is worn at meetings and important ceremonies. The leather jacket: It can be a classic one, a bomber, or a longer coat, the leather jacket is the standard of day to day apparel of a mobster. Pants: Mobsters typically wear slacks, dress pants, or regular cut jeans, not skinny jeans. The tracksuit: Ya, I know. This is what a sleazy debt collector from New Jersey would wear, but that's the point. Various other apparel: Other attire can include peacoats, overcoats, wife beater undershirts, leather loafers, Italian style white tennis/soccer shoes, gold crucifix chains, rings, fedoras, and old school greek fisherman type hats. Some of these clothes might look horribly out of fashion to some people, but remember this: most mobsters don't follow fashion. They don't care about brand names. This is how many modern Italian American mobsters dress, and that's what matters. *Note, not all members of the Luprano family have to, or will dress like this, but it's an example of the some of the things we might wear. Leisure: Wiseguys enjoy eating fine Italian food, and enjoy drinks such as cognac/brandy, various whisk(e)ys, dark rums, wine and beer. They enjoy smoking cigars such as cohibas and montecristos. They drive cars like Cadillacs, Lincoln's, various sports cars and luxury sedans. They are the epitome of a man, and they will break your head if you tell them otherwise.

2 pointsYesterday afternoon, for another Identity Insider, we've released a video detailing the workings of player housing in Identity and what it has to offer at our present point in development. This gives you a good idea of the level of fidelity we're going for in all of our key systems, and more videos will follow as we continue. Housing was chosen for our first video as our initial focus in development is for features present in the upcoming Town Square module. If you haven't already seen the video, check it out above. Housing as you've seen in the video is an excellent place to hang out with friends, but it has a lot of good practical uses, too! First, housing is the primary storage location for items you've collected. Whether it's a bookshelf full of books, a gun-rack with wall-mounted guns, or a crate full of junk, it's sort of like a bank for tangible stuff. Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!

1 pointIt is inevitable. No matter how much we complain and no matter how many restrictions they put in place, we need to come to the realisation that children (immature ones in particular) are going to get their hands on this game. Kids who treat this game like GTA or COD. It is going to happen no matter what precautions we take. I would like to discuss possible ways that we, as a community can come together and instead of prevention, we need to decide how to deal with the issues. I recommend that we act mature. If a kid is mass RDMing, don't kick and scream, don't act like a kid in OOC, just ignore them. I know it will be hard, but it is the only way we can discourage kids from playing like that. Kids are apart of the community, and while we would all rather not have them here, its not something we can control. If a kid is RDMing, run and hide and quietly report it on the forums. Act like you arent even annoyed, like you just want to report it incase it happens again. They commit these actions for an equal and opposite reaction, we dont want to give them the reactions that entice them to commit the atupid actions. Can we as a community agree to treat these situations calmly? Let me know your thoughts below.

1 pointSo in regards to the thread created here: I thought it would be appropriate to make a thread for suggestions on new classes so I guess I will start. I am not sure if these classes are the only actual predetermined options someone can make their company, but assuming that is the case, classes should be generalized to fit the owner's creativity. I believe the class system should be restructured like so to represent what an economy would run like in a mixed economy. Again, I understand that this is a first-look at what corporations will look like and yes it is a hard copy which is why its a good idea to discuss Service Business: A general class involving servicing clients with a contract-based feature that will allow owner's to quote an order for essentially anything a customer wants and then both parties would approve of the agreement. An example of these services could be delivering 5 crates of shirts from point A to point B or having a car repaired in a body shop. While on the opposite spectrum, orders can be made for accounting firms and law firms as well. Merchandising Business: This will be the most common type of business in Identity and is the foundation of any economy. The method of buying and selling products higher than their purchases costs to turn a profit is what this type of business is all about. Examples of these include: Convenience stores, resellers, or car dealerships. Manufacturing Business: This type of company will have the intention of making new products to showcase on the market, and will sell to merchandising businesses in bulk to get money faster but also because it is very cheap for them to manufacture the product the more they make. Hybrid Businesses: Of course not every business are classified under one specific branch. Many companies join two channels of distribution into one in order to work more efficiently to produce a final product / service. Examples of these are restaurants where they manufacture food and sell it as a meal to consumers. As one can see these channels of distribution set each other up for a great-looking and proven economy that runs smoothly. I am interested to see if different types of forms of business ownership will be introduced, or if corporations are the only option. If so, how would you all like to see it play out? Do you think adding sole proprietorship, partnership, etc. as options will be beneficial? Thanks for reading!

1 pointA good idea, but sadly if you looked around the forum you would know that; 1. Official servers won't have permanent death. 2. Private/community server owners will have the option for permanent death but it's there choice. This idea will penalise criminals who don't kill people and so really it's not that fair to them, because why do they deserve to have higher insurance rates if they only sell drugs to make money? Also Role-Playing a character as a serial killer is fine because its not RDM as the character has a background of him being crazy.
-
1 pointI like that, that way they don't have to put on a fake persona just to be elected. It would also produce stronger leaders since they won't exactly be the most likable people but they can get the job done.
-
1 pointPersonally, I think they should be appointed by the Supervisors or Captains of all the offices. That way the person who is chosen is right for the job, as sometimes the public doesn't know and at (most) times a governor can be clueless. But that's just me.

1 pointyou have a gtx 970 and probably 8 gb ram + some vram? i'm not sure why you ask but with that rig you'll most probably have no problem (except you've installed the wrong drivers). optimization etc. depends on the amount of settings you can choose between.

1 pointThough, America is far more democratic than it was originally in the First Republic/Old Republic. No longer do you need to have even a single ounce of interest in this land to be able to vote, all that is required is age and ID. Even non-citizens can vote in certain areas in the US. Even then, we are still a republic; but, very loosely so, and within this century, we will barely have a republican (not party) government. We have a constitutionally limited representative democratic republic -- that is the technical term for the United States form of government, if you want to get nerdy on the subject.

1 pointI'm not sure. I don't think I would ever use this feature if it is a thing, but I guess I can see why people would want to use it.

1 pointWell, private server owners will have a option to either put permanent death or not, I am sure the official servers will have no permanent death. Also when you die (so to speak) you will have an option, either "wait for the ambulance to come and revive you or respawn at your last bind point" But having a option with only 3 lives could be interesting but what if a troll rdm's you 3 times? @HairyGrenade will confirm if anything here is correct or not.

1 pointThat was only becase the demo had a 2 bedroom apartment, you can have as many people living in your home as there are bedrooms.
-
1 pointI don't believe leasing will be available on release as apartments are instanced for the owner and can only let people in by an invite sent to that person. It may be something added during development or after as another way for someone to earn some extra cash.

1 pointSo you're proposing that a game which is entirely centered around player interaction should have an offline mode? At the risk of sounding like an arsehole, you may as well play GTA V if that's the kind of game you're looking for.
-
1 pointNo, because the whole point of this game is to have player-player interaction. No NPCs

1 point"what I'm saying is that your party is a shit show (sorry about language)"....Not an argument. "that is it were to get into power would last about a week before either the server died or an organised group tried to seize control"..Not an argument. "this party doesn't actually have any major issues with it so far unlike yours"...Not an argument. "my co-worker used the example of the French revolution but I'll put it differently"...Which has nothing to do with Anarcho-Capitalism whatsoever. "what you would create is a power vacuum, this is where there is no leader or government creating a hole were anyone can try to become leader, this would attract progressively worse groups, gangs and mafias and triads, to your server so they can attempt to take over with out the police stopping them. the way you have bluntly ignored most people telling you these things also shows how you are not fit to take office as you would ignore all political advice and would likely cause an economic crash and housing crash as suddenly, there are no police or firefighters so a simple house fire could devastate the city and people would be murdered on the street over something as simple as taking the last Twinkie."...Nope. You obviously haven't read about the NAP or how we´ll deal with criminality in a anarcho-capitalist society if that's what you think we´re striving for. "are you starting to understand what people are trying to say"...What people? Your party? The conservatives? I don't know what type of people you´re talking about.

1 pointNice, sounds good to me! Some common guns in the US that would be cool to see in game would be of course m9's, some variety of a Glock, a S&w m&p series pistol, maybe a p226, an m1911 and a revolver or two maybe one a snub nose .38 and another a Magnum calibre.
-
1 pointI can't yet say specifically what pistols will be in Identity. We're still adding some, and may remove others. But there will be a variety of pistols, including revolvers. We want handguns to be more common than any other weapon, with automatic weapons being rare enough that they are typically brought out by gun collectors for special occasions, like federal reserve robberies, or bank heists. We don't expect that players will be roaming the streets with an AK-47 or M4A1 attached to their backs due to the high risk of losing it. Other players, including cops can see the weapons attached to your hip or back, and the deadlier it is, the more valuable target you are for others. There won't be any sniper rifles or long range weapon attachments beyond a simple 2x scoped hunting rifle. Expect gunfights to be close quarters. Shotguns are also included. Our ballistics model is pretty cool, and these weapons will quickly become a favorite for those who can afford to carry them. The whole idea is to keep things realistic. Ask yourself what you'd expect to see in real life when encountering a person with a firearm. You certainly wouldn't expect to see a Thompson Sub-machine gun, or a .50 caliber sniper rifle. What kind of handguns do you think are most commonly carried in modern day United States?
-
1 pointThanks! A lot of thinking and revising went into everything you see here.
