4 pointsI have received more than a few offers now in my PMs and as a result I feel this post is important. For those of you who dont know, I am Joel Keys, founder and CEO of Keys High-End Apparel. I like to think we are one of the leading formal wear businesses on the market. I already have multiple orders for suits from many companies and such. Tomorrow I will be holding a meeting on discord, you do not need to speak if you dont wish but I encourage any CEOs who would like a deal made between us to come along. I will attach a list of persons of interest to me as well as people who have already contacted me. My business with these people will remain private until further notice. This will help everyone who attends, so if you are smart I encourage you to bring a pen and paper as you will have some writing to do. We will discuss contracts including services we provide each other and we will also have some discussions about some rough figures so that you know roughly what you will be gaining/losing. Here is the list of people of interest: @DrivenMuffin - CEO of Aegis Security @RexProcer - CEO of Southern Group Real Estate @Herzog - Founder of The Gentleman's Club and CEO of Winstons Tailors @BioHaze - My CFO @dolore - Private @Zebra - Private Those are people in which I would like to make a proposal and/or we have already made a deal or are in negotiations. @Herzog is an exception, as he is the founder of TGC. If there are any business owners who would also like to come, please do. If you are a company that requires your employees to wear a suit, I will be doing a pre-order for my products in which you will receive a pre-order discount. This is a good opportunity to make friends in high places too, so even if you dont want a deal, feel free to come just dont waste our time. Just let me know if you are coming by replying below. P. S Any gang leaders are welcome too, although I have a rule. I do not want to be informed or involved in any illegal activities, so if you are coming we are coming to talk sales, not dirty business. Thank you, Joel Keys, founder and CEO of Keys High-End Apparel.

2 pointsWe at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. We'll be bringing you more information on the modules as they progress!

2 pointsYep, there is. Following what I mentioned before, police can only charge you for a crime you're "flagged" for committing. You don't receive the charge immediately, and the flag wears off quickly. Fingerprints work the same way other crimes do, and the player is charged upon their discovery but not before.

2 pointsGood, everyone wants to be a hardcore criminal, maybe this system will force people to get a real job and leave the criminal work to the ones who can handle it. I dont want to live in a server where the criminals are equal to the good guys, there has to be significantly more good guys otherwise it is just DarkRP remastered.

2 pointsI can't waste your time i am not keep you here or forcing you responding and if you did not care you would not respond. Also you have not responded to a singe thing i have said any of the times i posted the facts. So pot calling the kettle black much. Lastly saying there is credible information if i looked for it is not accurate. Since are view of whats credible seem to be very different. Lastly i have not been editing my posts here to make them look better after the fact like you. and for someone who set the topic you seem to fail to see this is less of a place for you to say what your think and more of the political version of a freak show where we come to laugh at you have you even read what everyone is saying well the the last word on this goodnight and know i won't be reading anymore of these for the sole reason i know that fact will realy piss you off.

2 pointsHello citizens! It's been too long since our last developer blog entry, so I wanted to take the time today to update all of our backers on Identity's current state of development, as well as give a little more insight into the process behind the scenes. During the first year and a bit of development, most of the time was spent developing key backend systems. Networking modifications, weapon physics, character customization, voice communication and so on. That's all behind us now, and I'm happy to say it's gone as well as we could have hoped. Now and for the past couple of months we've moved on to gameplay development, making those backend features do the fun stuff. This Month in Development In this last month our lead character artist, Miroslav, has finished up everything we need for your characters going into the Town Square release. We're always going to be adding more character customizations over time, but to start you'll have the choice between 4 male and 5 female race options. After selecting your base race you can customize further with skin tones, blemishes, scars, eye color, hair styles, hair colors and tweaks to facial features. Identity is expanding on the usual character customization, though, as some of the options available can only be gotten through achievements. Prison tattoos are an example; if you see someone with such a tattoo you know they've done something to earn it. A lot of work this month has also gone into the player housing systems. In following our previous messages, our home customization system has been in place for some months although we've been expanding the floorplans in preperation for the Town Square module release. Sean, or Motown as you may know him, has prepared the various apartments you will have in the Town Square. If you have made a smaller pledge to Identity and do not have an apartment yet, we're going to be giving you access to a temporary (small) home in the Town Square so that you can play with the cusomization features. If you've pledged for a package containing an apartment, Town Square will show what you'll have in the full Identity game upon release. Just this morning our lead programmer, Henrik (AKA Mathalion), finished up the karaoke systems. It's a minor feature for Identity as a whole, but it's going to be loads of fun in the Town Square module! Just off the lobby of the hotel is a slick little bar, complete with a karaoke stage. You'll be able to queue up your favorite songs on the karaoke machine and see the lyrics on one of the monitors around the stage. The microphone on the stage really works, too, amplifying your voice out of the speakers so that your singing can be heard by everyone there! Most of us are terrible singers, so karaoke is going to have a lot of hilarious moments. If you're just there to watch, the restaurant by the stage is fully functional, too! It's Been Too Long I'll just come right out and say it: we at Asylum Entertainment have really had poor PR these last months, and you guys deserve better. You deserve much more frequent updates, and we're committing to give you that moving forward. We're a relatively small development team today. Currently a core staff of 5 incredibly talented full-time developers, I'm amazed every day with what this team can accomplish. Outside of our core we have a handful of part-time workers, mostly artists, who are also very skilled. Because we're a small team, many of us have to wear several hats. For example, Sean is our community manager but also a 3D artist. I myself am the project manager, a programmer and interface developer. This leads to few resources to dedicate towards PR as there's so much work to be done on the game itself. This is something we knew though, and we're going to set some time aside regularly to keep you in the loop. The Town Square module is coming soon. We're in the final months of 2016 now, and you'll finally be inside the first piece of the Identity world in the first quarter of 2017. It's a little later than we originally hoped since we're dedicated to making sure everything is smooth and stable from the first moments. Identity is an enormous undertaking, but the most difficult bits are behind us and we're drawing near! What to Expect The first stage of game development is always very boring to talk about, and also doesn't give us much to show you. Creating those backend systems that drive the game behind the scenes is one of the most important phases, but it's not very glamorous. It's for this reason that most games aren't announced until they're a couple years into development. Now that we're past that point, we're going to be able to start showing you real Identity gameplay. The first gameplay video you'll see is going to be in November and will show you just how detailed and in-depth Identity is becomming! You'll see a walkthrough of our housing system, showing just how far it can be customized and some of the cool fun features you'll find in there. Following that video we'll give you a glimpse of the Town Square features, leading up to its release. It's been a ton of work and a long time coming, but we're moving forward at a great pace and everything is about to get very exciting over here.

1 pointHello people of Identity. My name is Gene Smith and I'm running for Governor of The Island. I know that the game currently isn't out and nothing is set in stone but I wanted to set out my campaign. I've taken my time to carefully think about different answers for popular questions. What will you do about Property Taxes? What will you do about Gun Control? What will you do about regulating taxes? What are your thoughts about Health Care? What you can do for the working man, and what will you do about the crime? ------------ Property Taxes are Taxes you pay to keep your business running or your home from being taken away. Property taxes are unnecessary and unneeded. Property Taxes need to be removed completely and focusing on taxing other things. You should not have to pay for something you helped build just to live in fear of it being taken away. ----- Gun Control is something that everybody talks about when somebody gets shot. Well the hard truth is, guns don't kill people. People kill people. A person has to load the gun, aim the gun and pull the trigger. We don't need control on guns. We need control on the people who have the guns. If you have a criminal record and you have been known to kill you will have to run a background check before you're able to get your guns. ------ Regulating Taxes on working people will not only bring more jobs but also putting more people in those jobs. A person who makes 8$ an hour gets taxed 5%,10% and even 15% and sometimes even up to but not limited to 35%. You take a middle class man who works 10 hours a day and makes 10 dollars an hour. He gets taxed 15% for his week of pay. He takes home 425$ or somewhere around there. That money could be going towards his house payments. His food. His utilities or even buying clothes for his children. Regulating taxes is the number one thing we need to work on. I want to lower the tax rate to at least 3% to give the lower/middle class man or woman that extra incentive to work harder for those promotions. A happy worker is a hard worker. ------- Health Care is the most important thing. Canada-while their government isn't the best- they do have free health care. Free health care is the most important thing that we need to work on. While Canadians have to pay higher taxes for free health care we will not. Regulating taxes is what needs to happens. --------- The working man is the best type of man. A man who isn't afraid of trying to support his family and trying to make his household happy. The working man is the backbone of our community. I've seen plenty working men and woman that have started their own companies based on the fact to grow more and create more jobs. They make more money for our homes and government. I want to work on. Not taxing the working person not because they're special but because they deserve what they worked for. Why take that away? And crime is something that I will talk about later if necessary. Thank you for your time.

1 pointThe Educating of Identity Identity is an island of newcomers. Thanks to a MASSIVE expected immigration and tourism boost once the island becomes open to those outside of the First Landers like ourselves, we can expect a lot of confusion. The island will be full of wonderful questions such as “Where do I go to become a valuable member of society?” and “How do I establish myself as a respected Citizen?” These questions will of course fall side by side with “Hey guise how do i buy a rcket lancher and blow up da bank$$$?” All of these questions and more will be handled with my proposed Identity Education system. We have the opportunity within this community to do something entirely new and unique! We don’t have to push forward with the same old drudge of basic political drama and mudslinging, we can actually think together a system that strives for the betterment of the island as a whole, and not just a select group of individuals. Here I will present my plan in three overlapping arcs. Identity will be FILLED to the brim once the island opens, so here is my three part plan on refining our most valuable resource. New Players. That’s right. The question slinging, bad mic wielding, 13 year olds who claim they have 15 years of RP experience and served in the military. Now, you may ask, “Gabe why on earth would I want this walking, talking ball of bad decision making to come bounding into my storefront asking for a job?” Well, I’m going to explain to you just why that is. While these players are characteristically immature and poor roleplayers it is important to remember that they still live on the island forever. A community of bumbling Neanderthals who don’t know their roleplaying bone from the hot lead that pours fourth from their shiny new pistol is not a community I want to live in. With that in mind, I introduce ARC 1 of my plan, Initiation. Initiation will pay experienced players to act as a guide to the island! The new citizens may be taken in groups or as individuals on a personal tour of the basic activities and quality of life we enjoy here on the island, and explain to them the proper way to interact with others. This tour will be short but sweet, as engaged participants in the tour will receive a “grade” upon how well they handle the island and how ready they appear to be to enter Islander Life. This grade will follow a standard graded scale listing A-F with E being excluded. Willing participants in the tour will be compensated slightly upon completion, but the real reward will be in receiving their grade. Someone who is well spoken, with a clear and understandable voice, shows maturity, and can quickly grasp and understand the “feel” of our island will receive an “A” grading. Those who act immaturely, show little interest in learning or even understanding basic island laws, and those likely to quickly be on the wrong side of a server moderator Karma will receive lower grading such as an “F”. At this point you may be asking, “Possible Governor-Elect Gabe, why do we bother grading them? Is this going to be as pointless of a grade as that time my middle school Home Ec teacher gave me a B for not remembering to change my flour sack baby’s diaper for a week?” No. That grade was well deserved, and you shouldn’t beat yourself up too bad over it. But this grade has a very valuable point. New players can take their grade ‘To the bank!’ as they say and cash it in for a cushy job! This brings me to ARC 2 in my plan, Occupation. Occupation will give players an official signet of their grade and allow them to show this to possible employers who will see that a player is either ready to enter into their particular line of work, or not. This plan will of course account for those who intend on following a less legal approach to earning a living, as possible employers of these bravado bandits can of course get some use out of knowing that the man delivering his “Chopped Oregano” to the back of Mick’s Warehouse is a quality individual and capable of handling basic instruction! Players can wear their rating as a badge of honor and a symbol of pride! Those who earn a less than reputable grade on their first arrival at the island can of course take the course again to improve their score, there is no fee for retrying the course. While it will be entirely up to the population of Identity to determine the validity of this score, the grading system offers newcomers a possible head start at proving their worth to their community. This leads us headlong into ARC 3, Inhabitation. Inhabitation will deal with the process of ensuring our lovely new immigrant friends stay on the island! With an incentivized program that supports showing positive advancement in the community we can ensure that our newfound friends are here to stay! I would suggest a point reward system, so as not to flood the market with unnecessary cash funding. Players within their first month of stay on the island will be given “points” for making positive advancements in their life! A player who earns his first $1,000 can expect to earn a point on his “Identity Value” which is a score that will be tallied and hold weight within the new government. Did you get pulled over? Well, you can pay the fine (and do the time) for those three hulking kilos of pure Colombian Sugar in your trunk, OR you can expend a point! You get off scot free, but your drugs will still have to go with the boys in blue, sorry. Or maybe you are a startup business owner who isn’t quite sure if he’ll be able to pay rent on your shop this month…two points paid out to your local government may just get you out of the rent bill! The possibilities are endless with this model as to what earns points and what they can be used for. Now, you may say “Oh great and powerful Oz who is Gabe Garrison, our hero in a time of need, just how will these points improve immigrant retention? Won’t this system get tossed to the side as players do what they want? I don’t want to follow a guideline for how to live my life and you can’t make me!” That’s the fun! The point system will work much like an “achievement” that we see in modern video game culture today. With naturally occurring milestones (buying first vehicle, first paycheck, first nice suit, first court case avoided) will all be happy occurrences that earn points along the way. The new citizen will never feel pressured to earn these points to stay ahead of other members of the island, they will just be pleased to see that their production and continual path to becoming a person of good faith and advancement pays out in the island of Identity. With a continued joy and reward in doing the things they would normally do, we can expect player new citizen retention to be sensationally high, with a better quality of life for all those involved or around the program and the Island. Now, all this is just one of my many ideas for improving Identity! I will not announce a formal running for a government position unless I see support from my fellow islanders, as I hope my idea gets put into place no matter who becomes the leader of Identity. If enough support is shown, I will announce my formal running and establish a proper campaign platform and political stance. I will likely run under a new party name. I have some great ideas for the Island of Identity, and I only hope that you will allow my ideas to affect your lives, wheather that be as your governor or as your fellow citizen. Thank you for your time and remember, Gabe Garrison: For an Identity with a Future. (also looking for someone to do an illustration of my Three Arc’s as a flag; also looking for a running mate who shares my possible values, shoot me a message if you have anything to say about either!)

1 pointHello there Mr Capitalist, I am Co-founder of the LPU, and as I know you don't care, I will move swiftly on. I appreciate your speedy response to my co-worker here and I am one to respect all peoples beliefs, but obviously that doesn't mean I believe many. Unfortunatly, can we see any country in the world that does not have a head of the country? Off the top of my head I can't say I can. There must be a good reason for this, perhaps it is that a country doesn't work without one! Of course I am not stating that these people in power should control the world like big brother but as a close friend to all people. So simple saying that you want to irradiate all form of government can't be to imaginable for most people to look upon. Think of what the government offers, and take your country as an example. Think of all the good things they do to keep your country a better and safer place. A country without a government means no police, no healthcare and no fire stations. Does this really seem like a place were you feel safe? Everyone around you for all you know is holding an automatic rifle! Does that not bother you of your safety? If the people of the world thought that the world would be a better place without one, would the people not have risen up, and destroyed all of what the government stands for? Hope to hear from you soon! -Pine

1 pointIf the next video was on the police/ s.w.a.t. stuff then we won't get it until the s.w.a.t. module is like 50% complete and that won't be started until we have the first module early 2017 if not delayed again. I don't know what it will be about, but truthfully I want to see the business system too like @JoelKeys, but I do want to see something on the police stuff at the same time.

1 pointYes player on player theft is a thing but ill shoot you or try to if you rob me:)
-
1 pointThe 1cop2civ ratio wouldn't work since this isn't DarkRP, there needs to be around 20 employees per business. There also needs to be significantly more normal citizens than business owners so that the clothing stores have people to sell for, security services have people to protect etc. while also keeping a decent amount of cops and criminals.
-
1 pointI understand where you're coming from, in a serious roleplay environment on a developed character, if you were to get shot or died in some way, having that player come back, simply forgetting the last few minutes prior and during the incident ruins RP when that character sees or interacts with people who knew him and knew what happened to him. In Garry's Mod, not sure if it's the same elsewhere, it's usually referred to as the "New Life Rule" but it can be really awkward trying to play it off as if it doesn't happen, most who regard the killing will say it was just "some guy they knew" but at the end of the day all parties know who died and it can be a bit cringey for some. I'm no fan of NLR, but in THIS game I would say that permanently ending characters would be a mistake. The amount of time it takes to earn money, respect etc. with other characters and in the environment around you is rather staggering; to have it ripped away from you by some thug or because of a mingey player would be a terrible thing and would only end up frusturating players, inevitably generating a great amount of hate to anyone who decides to go the route of a criminal, and driving away the playerbase. Now, this obviously doesn't include everyone, but I wouldn't want the devs to put it into the game because you're forgetting a crucial fact @Thecop34, this may be considered an RP MMO but it has MORE than one server, it will have official ones, but players are free to open up their own servers and configure the games mechanics to their liking; and a few may decide to allow the PK of players if they suffer a legitimate death. As a side note, going off topic, I don't think anyone should take your posts seriously because of previous content you've posted clearly shows you intend to abuse any privileges given to you, such as the abilities granted to Law Enforcement and not to mention the sheer amount of disrespect you've shown players on the Forums for giving polite and sound answers to your questions that you've had. You're not doing you or your suggestions any justice, but I'll stop there as I don't want to be seen as a flamer. TL;DR No, but I'm sure someone will eventually open up a server where it is allowed.
-
1 pointA while ago i was thinking of being a professor and was thinking of setting up RP classes for various things. Like plan out whole courses that are like a week long and teach you various things you could find in game such as business or public services. I might still do it. As much as id like to be a tailor, i feel many who have more experience in it have me covered I might go back to being a professor if people would like the opportunity to do such an RP event. Maybe i could also get in contact with businesses and ask if they would be onboard with the whole thing and recognize someone completing a course as a sort of degree, maybe making requirements for jobs based off my courses.
-
1 pointtowards the end of last week's housing video a little 'Market' button can be seen at the bottom. This is most likely for some sort of stock market (though it is possible that it's just some sort of store/collection of stores) so it seems this is going to be implemented. Keep in mind that this is purely speculation.
-
1 point*Kevin grins* "Well there was a warehouse I was looking at near the docks, depending on what these cars go for I should be able to buy it straight cash"
-
1 pointI'm with @JoelKeys on this one. And @Thecop34 's description of things just makes it sound like GTAV online. That is pretty much the opposite of the end goal here, I believe.
-
1 pointNope. Developers have said guns won't be a common thing but definitely acquirable. Don't expect to see any kind of RDM unless you're on a tweaked private server, chances are though you won't see it there either because most in this game prefer serious roleplay.
-
1 pointNice I agree with Ziggabot though, a shoutbox would be useful for stating short opinions about a post or even just for some good fun.
-
1 pointUhm, what? Sorry but you don't sound very serious, and if you are well then there's a problem. If you'd take a moment to look through some of the posts here on the forum, you'll see that the devs have a system in place to prevent players in law enforcement from trolling or minging. For example, you can only arrest people if they have committed a crime, and if you go around trying to kill them with next to no reason, or a poor reason at that, you'll actually find yourself banned from the server. You could try the private servers, but with an attitude like that I doubt they'll give you much of a chance to try any of what you've said here. This game is role-play orientated, if you're only interested in abusing your power in an unrealistic fashion; I suggest purchasing Garry's Mod, and playing DarkRP (A gamemode that really isn't RP at all), and you'll find plenty of opportunities to RDM on there.
-
1 pointI couldn't care less what your progressive party thinks on how we should handle our business, though I understand your concern since you're a statist afterall. We don't believe in democracy since the majority rules the minority, we want a society without rulers and governments so democracy will not be part of our society, it'll be total freedom for all. Anarchism. "I would inquire where your party is likely to be based".... Not an argument. "I am also questioning you beliefs and political message as if you were to get into power this would create total chaos which would threaten the lives of the very citizens you are supposed to be operating in their favour."...What is this power you speak of? To bear arms? To not have a government that tells me what to do? Yeah that's what I'm fighting for, I fight for freedom and the peoples liberation from statists like yourself. "this is not a political party but an anti-social threat to the stability most governments enjoy"... Correct! and we are proud of that. Statist like yourself who want the government power and its monopoly on force to initiate violence so that you can regulate the people and tax their hard earned money, you'll be the first who we'll point our fingers at and if you try to shut us down using force, we will kill you and all your party members in self-defense. We are rebels and we'll make sure that the whole world knows that when tyranny tries to rule the people, that we'll arm the whole society with firearms so that they can protect themselves from tyranny and with voluntary premission join our glory to crush the state power, we don't serve the state, it is you that serve the people and our job is to make sure of that. "your inclusion of a military aspect is a dangerous comparison between you and the NSDAP and their S.A"... Comparing us to statists is not very accurate. My army is a freemarket invention and has no monopoly on force. Stop with the non-sense.

1 pointA lot of people advertise moving companies, transportation companies etc. Who would have actually thought about the containers (boxes) to transport said goods and merchandise? This is a brilliant idea, I hope it's implemented, it's a good idea and adds to immersion indefinitely.
-
1 pointThat's not quite what he meant by that description. In Identity, committing a crime flags you in such a manner that a police officer can charge you with a crime. If you run a red light, you're not immediately charged with the crime; however, if an officer sees you run the red light he can pull you over and will have the ability to charge you with that crime. This mechanic keeps police from being abusive and charging for crimes which you did not commit. That said some major crimes may charge you automatically, but that can be controlled by the server operator/community. This is how it'll be done on the official servers to prevent griefing. There are times where gameplay in a multiplayer environment can't be exactly realistic to maintain it's fun for both parties. More "hardcore" communities may wish to adjust these rules, and they can.
