2 pointsSo after reading the FAQ a bit more in dept I saw this sentence in one of the questions: "Players cannot access another players home without an invitation." This makes me a bit concerned since that means no robbing of players houses will be possible. Robbing houses is one of the most fun and thrilling things to do in Gmod DarkRP, and if the developers think that robbing peoples houses will have a negative impact on the housing aspect, here are my suggestions: * Give players the ability to buy alarms for their houses (Locks come with the house). * Nerby cops and the player owning the house gets alerted immediately when a house alarm has gone off. * Robbers have to buy a crowbar/lockpick to be able to get inside of the house if the door is locked. * Crowbars/lockpicks will be very limited in stores. * Robbers are only able to slowly carry one object/furniture at a time making the robbing process take loads of time. * Players can buy cameras which can be accessed via your phone (this will probably take loads of time to implement and I don't think it's really that necessary). * To keep certain things safe in the house, players can buy safes. * Robbers are only able to rob a house if it's empty of players (Just to keep the houses safe places to chill and hang out with firends) With only a few of these suggestions implemented, robbing houses would become very hard, which is a good thing since you wouldn't want players houses to constantly get robbed. Also one thing to keep in mind is that the houses in DarkRP are often empty which means that you can easily find the valuable stuff fast, while in Identity, the houses will be filled with loads of furniture making the search harder for robbers. I really hope that the developers will consider these suggestions since I think it would add to the immersion of a game like Identity. EDIT: After some discussion I feel like I need to clearify a few things. Since the developers have said that the only way to enter a house is through an invitation, because the performance will be an issue, I will try to explain my ideas how this could be fixed. So since houses will feature an instanced loadingscreen, the robber could be transfered into the house with a loadingscreen, exactly the same as when a player gets invited. The only difference is that the robber didn't get an invitation. And for example if a player could only invite 10 people to a house, then only 5 robbers and 5 cops should be able to enter the house and there wouldn't be any noticeable differences in the performance. The only problem with this is that if the loading times are long, there could be situations where the cops and robbers could be in a loadingscreen at the same time, which would result in them passing by eachother without the cops or the robbers noticing eachother. The solution to this problem could be to have a display on the door indicating if a player is about the get in/out of the house, or have a blurred verson of the avatar remain standing outside the door while loading. Another thing with the houses is that they are places where you are able to just chill out with friends and such, without any action or robbers. How to fix this problem is to only make robbers able to rob the house if there are no players inside (which includes the owner and the players invited).

2 pointsSo you walk through a room into a thick cloud of virtual smoke, and are presented by a group of sharp dressed gentlemen with cigars in one hand, and a glass of whiskey in the other hand. Half of them are sat in the lounge area, the other half with cards in hand halfway through a game of Texas Hold'em. Don't you guys think it would be great having something like this in game? No pre game lobbies or nonsense, just the ability to walk in, have a virtual toke and play a few rounds. That would be sick I think
-
2 pointsYou either must be terribly uninformed or don't smoke it yourself, because I couldn't disagree with you more. The majority of people don't suffer from Marijuana withdrawal whatsoever and any psychological damage only comes from a strain with particularly high levels of THC in it.

2 pointsHaving done Bank heists in altis life in arma 3 I can agree with you but a bank heist should be almost impossible. its meant to be a real achievement and it would give something for the player run radio stations to talk about.

I mean it's running, so I'll probably repaint it, throw on some decals, new body kit, lower the suspension" *Kevin begins walking around the car forming a vision for it* "A custom exhaust system couldn't hurt, get it to sound real good, and maybe a custom interior. Oh, and underglow lighting of course. Probably give the engine bay a good scrubbing, get it shining"

2 pointsThere you go again, blabbing on and on about how the population will take up arms if a government is created in your imaginary world. In reality it would only be a select few insane rednecks including you. Voids get filled, and by creating a void, with the elimination of government, you shouldn't be surprised that it too will fill. Have you even stepped a foot into the world of economics? sounds like you haven't. Patents, copyrights, and trademarks have nothing to do with welfare. Patents have fueled innovation. Sure I'm not against the right to bear arms, but you must understand that not everyone can use a gun. Not everyone can defend themselves. It is indeed an arguments, either a foreign government will take the land, or a new government will form in that land. That is it. Just because you have guns doesn't mean you are going to defend yourself against something like that. It would be like the U.S military vs Somalian pirates. good luck with that.

2 pointsYesterday afternoon, for another Identity Insider, we've released a video detailing the workings of player housing in Identity and what it has to offer at our present point in development. This gives you a good idea of the level of fidelity we're going for in all of our key systems, and more videos will follow as we continue. Housing was chosen for our first video as our initial focus in development is for features present in the upcoming Town Square module. If you haven't already seen the video, check it out above. Housing as you've seen in the video is an excellent place to hang out with friends, but it has a lot of good practical uses, too! First, housing is the primary storage location for items you've collected. Whether it's a bookshelf full of books, a gun-rack with wall-mounted guns, or a crate full of junk, it's sort of like a bank for tangible stuff. Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!

2 pointsAll very good questions. We continuously plot our budget to hire as many people as we can (accounting for up to a years pay in most cases) in all essential areas. This essentially means that in order to make more room for more artists or programmers, some of us have to do multiple jobs at once. For instance, I'm both the Community Manager and a 3D artist. Paratus, besides just being our project manager, is also a full time programmer and technical artist for Identity. He's always busy with one thing or another and It's not that he's taking 6 months to do one thing. it's more like that he's actually moving from one priority to another with the video never being at the top of that list. The longer it takes him of course, the higher priority it becomes, and it's certainly far past due now. He knows that and isn't intentionally avoiding it. We've had a lot of people offer to help us for free, but we've also had a few offer to help for a price. We have hired a couple freelancers in the past from our community on Twitter, but we do have incredibly high standards for our artists, and not everyone is capable of meeting those standards, and that kind of talent doesn't come free. The other issue is that, perhaps hypocritically on my part being the exception, we feel very strongly against accepting free work. With our budget in check, we can't afford to pay these people if they were looking for a paid job, and don't feel comfortable exploiting their services for free. There are a lot of moral and ethical concerns regarding that, even if the person providing thinks they are ok with it. From our experience, eventually they are going to want compensation, which leaves the door open for potential legal issues. I think this post particularly is a wake up call for our entire team. As a result of our lack of communication, we can observe how damaging false accusations, like that posted on Reddit can be, especially when noone from the community has been provided anything in support of countering these claims. Worse still, this burden is my responsibility specifically, and I absolutely do feel like I am underachieving by not being able to provide new information to our community with any kind of frequency. I will work with Paratus to see what we can move around to develop a new strategy for dealing with our PR issues.

1 pointDEV BLOG #001 Greetings Citizens, It has been just over a year since you helped successfully kick start Identity into existence! We want to thank you all for your continued support by providing you all with regular updates following the development process for Identity. Engaging with our community is one of the best ways we can show our thanks, and a development blog is a perfect opportunity for us to bring you along for the ride. As you’ve seen throughout the past year, there is no game out there that is quite like Identity, and through your support, you have proven to us that Identity is a vision worth turning into a reality! Feedback has shown us that you all really appreciate our attempts to respond to virtually every question we receive on social media. Twitter and Facebook have been a huge boost in exposure for Identity, and so it is time we begin to explore other avenues of exposure to help our community understand a bit more about the game. In the coming months, our fans will see their first glimpse of gameplay for Identity! We are all extremely excited to show off our first gameplay video, which will fully explore the mechanics of apartment and housing customization. With this video, you will see that we have stayed true to our original art direction from the original Kickstarter trailer, while maintaining high standards in realistic lighting and graphics. We can safely say that we have improved many of the areas of our design that needed attention since February last year. Apartment & Housing Customization Apartments and houses within Identity will have a fully customizable interior. You will be able to change the wall paper on every wall in every room, place furniture anywhere there is space on the ground, swap out doors, windows, baseboards, crown moulding, and even wainscoting! We have made no compromise to the level of detail in which you can customize your apartments or homes, in order to truly express your sense of home decor. With this level of control, there is virtually no chance that the interior of two homes will ever look alike. There will be hundreds of furniture items available to purchase in-game in every style and design, from traditional to contemporary. Furniture in Identity can even be crafted, sold, or traded to other players, and those who wish to try their hand at crafting hand-made furniture from a variety of materials can place a crafting table anywhere they wish inside their homes! And if you wish to share your space with a partner, friend, or even a group of friends, homes and apartments will be available for sale throughout the world that support multiple roommates depending the size of the space and how many bedrooms are available. The home-owner may even grant build permissions to any number of roommates, even visitors, to help them decorate their living space. When you are finished, invite your friends over to compliment you on your interior decorating skills! If you’re anything like us, we know you will spend more time cleaning up this virtual home than you do your real one! Radio This week, our team has also placed a lot of our development efforts into building a functioning radio system that will allow you to listen to your favorite real-world radio stations through placed radio objects inside your virtual home, or car! Yes, you can flip through the channels in your car radio, which will also broadcast to the immediate area outside your car. Imagine driving down the street and having everyone you pass know you listen to NSYNC! One other major part of this feature that we are excited to tell you about is player operated talk-shows which you can personally host, or tune-in and listen to, from your car radio or home. The way we currently have this planned out for hosts, is to have actual physical broadcast stations on the map that you can enter as a player and begin hosting your own radio talk-show. Player’s listening from their car or home can browse a list of channels currently being hosted at that very moment, and listen to you live, talking about government conspiracies and UFO’s! We are really hoping that this feature will have a major social impact for Identity. Like you, we see a lot of potential in something like this for budding stars within the community. We would absolutely love to see many of you sprout a career that started in a game we developed, and ended with us listening to your lovely voice on our actual car radio! The Town Square (Social Module) Many of you already know of, and are eagerly anticipating the release of the planned “Town Square” module that is currently still in production. While we can’t give you an exact date on when that will be ready, progress is steady, and we are as excited as you are to meet you all for the first time in a virtual environment. You may already be aware that Identity is largely influenced by a landmass in the south-eastern portion of the United States. The Town Square itself is only a small portion of a larger city built into the final version of Identity called Ash Hill, a reference to Asheville, North Carolina where we had originally planned to move Asylum’s office. We picked this area of the world particularly because it offered a wide range of geographical variance. The transition between Identity’s mix of biomes needed to feel natural, and this area offered most of what we had been looking for. As for the other cities in Identity, their influences may become more clear to you now. Myrtle Beach is obviously Turtle Beach in Identity, and Roseport is less subtle, but a mix between Atlanta and New York City. When we first started, we kept everything, including the structures and world props level to the ground, a mistake we have since corrected. We quickly realized that cities are rarely ever flat, and knew that setting that precedent now would benefit Identity in the future. The next time you see The Town Square module, we are confident that you will notice the difference compared to earlier screenshots, what such a small transformation makes for immersion in a game environment. Moving Forward We want to thank our community for being so patient with us. Over the course of the past year, we’ve seen many work-in-progress screenshots of assets destined for Identity, and while we believe they serve as a sample of the work we have already put into the game, we know that many of you are still anxious to see video. Our current priority is to get things ready to show off, or more specifically, the housing/apartment customization first. We are convinced that many of you will appreciate the time and effort we have put into this feature, so that you will be able to fully express yourself through your character and virtual home. We know we’ve been pretty quiet this past year, and the criticism we’ve heard from our fans on that through social media and the forums have not fallen on deaf ears! We will start to release regular updates through development blogs and continue to find new ways to interact with our community, to show you our gratitude for your support. You yourself can become more involved by contributing to the discussion with your ideas at www.identityrpg.com/community. We’ll see you there, and thank you again! Always remember that we are gamers too and we are as excited as you are to play Identity at launch!

1 pointHey! Came across this game stumbling across YouTube recently, and I have to say, you have gotten me pretty hyped. I'm pretty much an immigrant and at times a bit of a nomad, so i'm sure I'd fit right in in this game. I'm originally from South Africa, lived in England for 8 years, and have just recently moved to the US. I have one question though, if pledging, would i get early access beta, as in game play which is currently available? Or would I only get access when the Beta opens up in 8+ months time? Thanks! And good luck guys!

1 point*Rosso watches Kevin and Shenji leave the dealerships parking lot as he walks out to his car. Opening the door he sits down and presses the push start on the Ferrari's center console. He then looks down and checks his watch* "two twelve, hmm, the south beach pub should a few people there at this time of day. Maybe I'll stop by." *Rosso grabs his shades, backs up, and stops at the edge of the parking lot exit. A small grin comes across his face as he reaches for a small dial on the steering wheel and flips it from sport to Race Corsa.* "They didn't put race mode here for it not to be used right" *says to himself* *He looks both ways making sure its clear and then launches the car as he exits left out of the lot causing the cars tail end to whip out into a drift before darting off down the road. Rosso keeps the pedal planted for good minute or so and then looks down at the speedometer* "Jesus, one thirty eight. Lets bring that back a little." *Rosso arrives at the south beach pub parking lot and parks right up in the front row. He steps out of the car and sees a tired looking man wearing a dark colored backpack with what looked like to be a shirt sleeve hanging out of the top.*

1 pointWe only manufacture formal wear but if you wanted to work with us 1-on-1 we can satisfy any of your needs. In other words, we would only sell formal wear in stores but we do work with clients to produce anything they desire.

1 pointIf People decide we are making laws to help our company they can vote us out of Office, however there will be no link between the Law and Parliament, they are two different companies, under the same name. We thrive as a group to support and listen to our people. If they think a law is unfair and unjust we will remove that law.

1 pointI would love to have my own trucking company and be able to by a shop garage to park all of my trucks and trailers. I want to be able to buy a property like that and buy a few trucks and trailers to store at my shop and my shop would have its own garage to repair the trucks and fuel up. I would also love to have Peterbuilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner trucks to buy. I would like to be able to buy a refer trailer-for food and produce, a dump trailer-for the rock, stone, sand etc. a grain hopper trailer- for grain at the farms, a livestock trailer- for animals at the farms, a tanker trailer- for diesel, gas, oil, and water and a flatbed trailer- for hauling cars, trucks, lumber, crates etc. It would be like American Truck Simulator. But I would want it in this game because its like real life and I could own a one room log cabin in the woods as my house and live there and own my trucking company and everything would be wonderful. link to American Truck Simulator ( )

1 pointMan, wish I lived where you did Bus prices are killer here. On a side note, yeah I do like your idea for Global Transportation, but depending on where Air plans to set up shop; there's a good chance he'll undermine your prices should you end up being cheaper than him.

1 pointI don't think they are adding race tracks and so it is only illegal racing e.g. street racing. Also you can mend/ fix cars but not to the extent of building them.

1 pointPlatoon C would be a platoon that handles for example big disturbance of large groups, hunt down people with arrest warrants on them. They could also do patrol with more equipment or are generally trained for more dangerous situations or situations with lifes on the line. Could also be something else such as a motorcade division, COMPSTAT division, High Speed Pursuit Division, or much more things. The draft I made is just an example and it's totally possible to add more or remove some divisions from the department.

1 pointMost people especially ones who dont play games like arma cant grasp plans or take orders without question so a successful bank heist will be hard to do unless you have a unit already from a milsim and no battlefield doesn't count

1 pointFrank: "No were going to need a whole lot more than 5 million. However, we don't have to build our own. The old Ace High casino is gonna close pretty soon. The place is sturdy. We just buy them out, pump a few million into that place, gut the interior, put new stuff, get our licenses, fix up the outside a bit and it'll be good as new. I got a connection in ash hill that could do the decorating for a discount and our friend in the Senate will speed up the process for our gambling licences."

1 pointHi Shadow, The business plan was developed quite far back when there weren't a lot of concepts set in stone for game design. Today, we have the home security services in place for various reasons. Our Regular Home Security Package monitors the perimeter of your home 24/7 with state-of-the-art intelligence technology and provides customer support in the event something happens. An example for this use would be if someone is threatening you and your family inside of your home and it is unsafe to leave your house. You might want to call the police force but there is little they can do before something happens and prioritize critical situations over threats. With our Premium Home Security Package, perimeters are now monitored both by our systems but also a personal security guard. Our clients are the most innovative, successful, and influential people in Identity, so we know how important security is and that people may target them at their homes, a very vulnerable area. This package also includes a transportation vehicle suited to get you and your loved ones out of an unsafe situation securely. Please visit our website here where packages of our services are displayed for further information: http://aegissecurity.wixsite.com/aegis/purchase Thank you for your feedback! Sebastian Valentine CEO & Founder of Aegis Security Consulting Head Chairman of Identity Trade Organization

1 pointThere won't be a career out of the racing thing, but you could always do it underground like as its a illegal thing already but yes it would make a good thing in the far future. The second career has already been mentioned and well the answer was sadly a no as because it will take a lot of network resources which they need for other things and so it won't be possible. ( I also wish that it would come true in the far future.)

1 pointI thought I heard there were no armored vehicles? Correct me if I am wrong, but this might pose a problem to your company.

1 pointIf so, using anything you can grab should be integrated into the game. Drink my cup of coffee, or smash my half cup upon a dome piece? Play pool, or beat somebody with it til it breaks? While carrying my brief case to work, it turns into a tooth removal kit? Just a thought.
