3 pointsYesterday afternoon, for another Identity Insider, we've released a video detailing the workings of player housing in Identity and what it has to offer at our present point in development. This gives you a good idea of the level of fidelity we're going for in all of our key systems, and more videos will follow as we continue. Housing was chosen for our first video as our initial focus in development is for features present in the upcoming Town Square module. If you haven't already seen the video, check it out above. Housing as you've seen in the video is an excellent place to hang out with friends, but it has a lot of good practical uses, too! First, housing is the primary storage location for items you've collected. Whether it's a bookshelf full of books, a gun-rack with wall-mounted guns, or a crate full of junk, it's sort of like a bank for tangible stuff. Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!

2 pointsWe at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. We'll be bringing you more information on the modules as they progress!

2 pointsIdea - JOB ARTICLES I Think it would be cool if someone looking for a job could go to a building which contains articles for jobs around the area. These articles could be placed by business owners looking for new employees or the game could generate jobs every once in a while. This would allow People to easily spread news that they are looking for an employee. They could also have specific needs on that CV where people would be rejected if they did not have them (e.g Driving licence, Experience) You could also have it where multiple people could give in submissions and the owner of the business could pick the person that they feel would be good for their job (they may be able to organise interviews). I feel like they could also add Training where a specific person would need a certain training licence on their 'CV' to do that job. The Employer would need to pay a fee to put it on the article so it would be a fair system. This would help the employer , looking for people, the employee, finding that job. It could also open up illegal activities like CV forgery so they could get that job or people could hire an employee and take them hostage. This is just an idea, if anyone has any other improvements please let me know. - JT

2 pointsNobody is entirely sure if the Rizzuto family are a faction of the Bonnanos, but before they broke off they were a faction of the Cotroni family, who are Calabrian (therefore most likely Ndragheta). That said, the Rizzutos are definitely the most violent active Italian OC group in the US now that Philly is doing the smart thing and not killing each other every two seconds. My point is that compared to the 20th century, very few people are killed in Italian-American OC these days. And that's probably for the best.

1 pointA modernised compilation of 'The Works of the Golden Saint' along with notes from the current Golden Guardian WE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM IF YOU HAVE FURTHER QUESTIONS, PLEASE COMMENT BELOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING, VISIT OUR WEBSITE http://thegoldensaint.tk/ The Creed Accensa domo proximi, tua quoque periclitatur, Protegat nos fratres per sanguinem. Translation When the house of your neighbour is in flames, your own is in danger, We protect our brothers in blood. We turn away from greed and selfishness. I was what you are, you will be what I am. Mourning is freedom, There is a certain pleasure in weeping, therefore, we look to free you of your wound. Those who are about to die salute you, they condemn what they do not understand but deep down we know, we are dust and shadow, time is the devourer of all, and, he conquers who conquers himself. A breakdown of the Creed When the house of your neighbour is in flames, your own is in danger, This line shows the importance of caring for your fellow brothers and sisters. In this tight community, their problems may become your own. We protect our brothers in blood. All in our community are tied together through blood and deserve our protection and devotion, no matter their importance within the Brotherhood. We turn away from greed and selfishness. These are the two most cancerous sins that lead you in the wrong direction. By turning away from these, a new path of freedom is opened. I was what you are, you will be what I am. All outside of our community are consumed by the troubles of the world for they have not yet discovered the salvation of the Golden Saint. We hope they will soon see. Mourning is freedom, There is a certain pleasure in weeping, By weeping for your sins, you wash them away. Through this, your path is cleared. therefore, we look to free you of your wound. The burden of sin is like a serious wound, it won't heal properly unless you take care of it. Those who are about to die salute you, they condemn what they do not understand Those who are about to die believe they are moving on but they do not understand that their grievances follow them into the afterlife. but deep down we know, we are dust and shadow, We came from dust and will return to shadow. We were created of the ground and we won't be present when we pass. time is the devourer of all, and, No man or beast can escape the teeth of time. You may run but sooner or later, you will trip and fall. he conquers who conquers himself. By freeing yourself from your subconscious limitations, you unlock extended power and knowledge which conquers the untrained mind. Who is the writer of this? The identity of the writer of the Creed of the Brotherhood of the Golden Saint is unknown. The only clue to his identity is this painting which is just an estimate of what he would've looked like. We believe that this is to our benefit. Not having a concrete identity to worship eliminates discrimination against fellow brothers and sisters. Although it is very likely the Golden Saint was white, male, rich and Christian, we still allow people of all gender, colour, nation and class into our Brotherhood. Why do we follow the Golden Saint? We do not follow the Golden Saint. We follow his beliefs. His beliefs represent freedom through the full utilisation of our brains. No, this is not the 'we only use 10% of our brain and unlocking the rest would give us mystical powers' malarkey. This is about removing the boundaries placed upon our minds by society and seeing past the barriers. Although this won't give you psychic or flying abilities, it will unleash the ability to further your knowledge and life. We also believe in making the most of your time here on earth by turning away from the two main sins, greed and selfishness but we also realise most that what we acquire here on Earth is materialistic. We do not believe murder, theft, lying, etc. are sins unless they stem from greed or selfishness. So are you just a bunch of peaceful 'brain unlocking' people? No. Do not underestimate our power. Due to centuries of growing and development, we have slowly tapped into governments and corporations across the world. We appear to those who chose it, whether that be directly or indirectly. We have woven ourselves into society and are hidden whilst in the most obvious places. People such as Neville Chamberlain, Alexander Fleming and Eric Arthur Blair, aka George Orwell, have been great contributors to our Brotherhood, although not all formally announced they were part of it. Through people like this, we have infiltrated even the most guarded corners of society. As I have mentioned, we do not believe murder, theft, lying, etc. are sins. These are beautiful tools that can be used to further our development. Our goal is freeing the world. We will do this in whatever way necessary. If you want to 'free the world in any way necessary', doesn't that mean you are greedy for that vision? Absolutely not. We are pushing for freedom for all, not just a select few for their benefit. The vision we have is for the benefit of everyone in our world. We are also in no rush to achieve that goal although doing it as fast as we can is preferable. Our Goal Our goal is to open the eyes of the deluded, uplift the humble and meek and bring justice to a world plagued by greed, selfishness and corruption. We want to take over society and flip it on its head for the betterment of society. We plan to do this by infiltrating the political system, major businesses and gangs/mafias/MCs. We operate similarly to a mafia but, unlike the mafia, we do what we do to achieve a specific goal. What do I receive? This varies depending on your role within the community. There are, however, several things that are guaranteed for all employees: • A wage with a minimum of (TBC) per month. • All job-related healthcare paid for. • Appropriate equipment provided free of charge. • Ample opportunities for bonuses and promotions. For more information, view this Employee Agreement Contract sample. Ranking System Although higher up ranks have more authority, we believe all people are equal. 1 pointI just recently discovered this game, and it intrigues me. I love the concept, and would love to pledge some money to support development and get beta access, but I'm very wary of pre ordering anything, especially with recent fiascos like No Man's Sky, and my biggest regret, The Crew. So, my question to the community is: Do you feel the developers have the passion and honesty to make the game they say they want to make? Do you feel this is just going to be another cash grab like No Man's sky? Or do you believe in the developers and their vision? This is a very ambitious project, and I'd gladly support it if the community believes in the team behind the game. Thanks.
-
1 pointI can't wait to get my hands on this game! This game is something I've always wanted to happen. I'm going to love getting to know everyone here and forging my own path in the world! Perhaps one day you'll all work for me! Or I'll be the unknown mail manager in the basement of Super.Co.Inc. Either or, I'll be happy doing it!

1 pointI think it would be cool to have a way for content creators to use in-game currency to purchase television, radio or billboard time/space to promote their youtube or twitch channels. I would suggest an in-game threshold of achievements or experience to allow players to spend in-game currency to submit specifically geared advertisements to be used in-game. Maybe requiring the video ad to be recorded using in-game footage or audio recordings or billboards that would all require mod/admin approval. Games have always done better than expected when a live streaming or youtube community is supporting it, on top of the support they already have. Allowing dedicated players to earn their right to show the community their content would encourage more creators to use the game for even more future content. The only issues would be the potential for the "youtube" effect where over time real advertisers begin mucking up the lighthearted point of promoting the games own community. This would probably fare well for the dev team and could help expand the game even more, but is just something that could happen if the game impresses the amount of people a game like this should. Another issue would be larger youtubers from doing the same thing, but in the long run it would help the community more. I'm just rambling by this point. Just my suggestion, not something that I have thought about too deeply or would feel inclined to press the idea. Just a random idea I thought would be neat, to go along with the already shown TV system.

1 pointHelloow, Since this is a RP game i was wondering what the consequences will be if you break rp and rules. will official servers be a thing? they would need to have online staff everyday so i don't really see that happening. also banning somebody from an entire game seems quite harsh. i'm guessing community servers will be the way to go?

1 pointMTA SA is basically, Gta SanAndreas multiplayer on PC. There is one server on that game called Cit2. It usually has 800 people on it. Basically no NPC, and 800 real people on the SanAndreas map. There are tons of jobs, Police, ambulance, fireman, garbage man, farmer, fisher, pilot, and criminal. With all of these jobs come custom scripting to make them full. Farmers have custom jobs, and ways to plant things and get money, fisher get boats and do a sort of minigame to actually get fish, and criminals have turfing, different drugs, robbing stores, atms, and houses. Every house on the server is also ownable by a player like identity will be. In case anyone plays the game, pm me.

1 pointThank you for the reply! I am definitely very interested in joining when this awesome game comes out.

1 point@Hzap thank you for your interest in us, we cannot wait to get started on Identity and begin expanding. To answer your question regarding what style bike or bikes we ride, we ride cruiser, bobber, chopper, panhead, etc. we stay away from crotch Rockets ,modz, etc. I hope that helps you.

1 pointWould love to Join you as soon as Identity is out. Is the club cruisers only or can we ride what we want?

1 pointName: Junior Timoteo Nickname: Gamebred Age: 25 Hair/Eye: Black & Brown Height/Weight: 6'1" 205Ibs Fighting out Of: Maui, HI Amateur Record: 9-0 Pro Record: 13-3 Belts/Ranks Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under Minotauro Nogueira. Brown Belt in Machida Karate under Yoshizo Machida. Junior Timoteo was born on the island of Maui on Dec 21, 1991. He is of Hawaiian and Portuguese descent. Right after birth his grandfather adopted him. His grandfather is Silvano Timoteo, a high ranking member of the Hawaiian Syndicate. Junior was homeschooled by a private tutor hired by his grandfather. When his lessons were finished his grandpa's friend Big Joe Kaleikini (Hitman for the HS) would come over and train him in Boxing. At the age of 16 Junior excelled in his studies so much he was able to graduate a year early. When he graduated he expressed interest in joining the ranks of the Hawaiian Syndicate and live the life like his Grandfather Silvano and his Uncle Nelson. His Grandpa shut that idea down real quick. He wanted Junior to live a different life. One more successful. He obliged with his Grandpas wishes and decided to become a fighter. At the age of 17 his grandpa gave him the money he made Junior save since he was 5 which came out to about 10k and sent him off to achieve his goal. But Junior no longer wants to be just a boxer. He wants to be a Mixed Martial Artist. So he went to the place he knew he could achieve his dream. Los Santos, San Andreas. Today He has trained with the likes of the Nogueira Brothers, Lyoto & Chinzo Machida, BJ Penn and Vitor Belfort. He has an amateur Record of 9-0 and a Pro Record of 13-3. He is also a member of Feared n Fearless MC. His grandfather wasn't too happy of him joining a 1%er MC but Junior flew him out to meet the brothers and Grandpa Silvano actually had a good time and is happy his only grandson finally found a sense of brotherhood. He is now coming to Identity to break thru in the MMA world.

1 pointI'll probably RP as a Country girl who's just recently Moved to a new Town/City, and tries to make money by being an Entrepreneur or something like Working in a cafe Cliché i know <( ̄︶ ̄)>

1 pointI was referring to the lawyer killed outside his shop, it wa supposedly done by n'drangheta. I dont have a direct source for it, but if you do some digging you can easily find it, even watch a coule of documentaries. They are heavily involved in huge construction.

-
1 pointThey are also very smart and make billions, much more than any cosa nostra family in the U.S. even though they are smaller in size compared total the new York families. As for Australia, I know that Melbourne is the centre for Italians ,and Italian organized crime. I know there were a couple of hits there this year.
-
1 pointYa I understand and agree with your point. Also, the Cotroni family were Calabrese, but they were different because they weren't n'drangheta back in Italy and when they came over to Canada they modelled their family structure after the Sicilian style. Today the Rizzuto clan is mainly Sicilian but also includes Italians from other regions, and in that sense they are a true pan-Italian, yet Sicilian based, la cosa nostra family.
-
1 pointMaybe it's not as grandiose as it was in the 20th century but hits are still prominent nowadays. Even in the small country of Ireland there were 10 men killed in the Kinahan-Hutch feud over the past year. These included hits overseas, hits in a hotel during a press conference whete the hitmen were disguised as gaurds, and a hit in a family pub.

1 pointI've seen quite a few 'community backed' games come and go over the past few years, so it's amusing to me to see the same basic arguments being used for this game as all the others. It's also amusing to see all the same complaints about 'it taking too long' or 'it being pay to win', etcetera. I'm going to back this project, at the minimum level, because it's being made by the people that created Altis Life (which is the most interesting Arma mod I've ever played). I don't have any expectations for Identity. I don't expect it to be finished in the 2-3 years. I don't have an opinion on how gameplay or game mechanics should be designed. I just want to see how the project unveils, and I want to give John VanderZwet a chance to make his dream game. Too often, I see people trying to imprint their own ideas and expectations on games that are in development. They get upset when a game doesn't follow their logic or understanding, or it takes too long to develop. This happens from both haters and fanboys, and I think gamers, as a whole, need to take a step back and realize that not every game has to fit their specific requirements. It's ok for someone to develop something outside of the norms. We should enjoy a game for what it is, and try to understand what the developer is trying to make for us. If the developer has clear vision, and the ability to make a good engine, then the game will be successful. It's important that we embrace this model of funding going forward. I think everyone is tired of AAA publishers releasing the same garbage again and again, and community backing is how we break that cycle. It's how we get back to getting games made by gamers, for gamers. Obviously, there's a lot of risk in this funding model but I feel that it's worth it if it uncovers those 'diamond in the rough' games that would otherwise remain hidden away. I look forward to helping test this game, and although I don't plan on being active in this community, I will voice my input in a calm and logical manner. And on a personal note REM: I look forward to hearing your radio broadcasts in-game someday . Your signature is a little huge though, so maybe trim it down a bit. I had to hide it, and now I don't know how to get it back.
-
1 pointIn that case, ill apply, is there a form I need to fill out? I didn't see anything on the page.
-
1 pointI would like to officially like to welcome Jeremy ``Jerry`` Sirata as a made member of our family. Salute fratello. I would also like to extend a warm return to Carmelo our enforcer.
-
1 pointAh thank you for your support. Much appreciated. ___ Also sorry for this bumping message but after long absent and some low inactivity we would like to state we are still alive. We also got a recent question about recruitment and what type of server side we will play on. First we are open for recruitment. Send a pm to me and I will evaluate your "application" for further association with the Famtiano Family. We will also be operating in the EU. Thank you for your time once again, fellow citizens.
-
1 pointI would rather the developers do DLC's than have servers modded. But yes modding has true potential but when modding comes it takes over the game and you will find that no one plays the servers without modding and it ruins it, mods take over the game and some people could make a lot of new content for their server and then the non modded servers won't survive if they don't mod with custom content if they are newly up.
-
1 pointInteresting concept, hopefully it works out very well for you bro. It would be pretty cool seeing street gangs like The Warriors. "Can You Dig It?"
-
1 pointAs it stands already, we do have advertising systems for politicians running for office but it's restricted to billboards. I like the idea of advertising on public televisions or cinema, and implementation would be easy, but we'll have to think it over and consider all the angles. So, maybe!
-
1 pointThis idea has its merits. Identity already has a system where you can play YouTube videos in-game on TV screens. Maybe this can also be applied to large commercial TV screens? I'm not sure, but I think offering advertisements to content creators could really help boost the games player base.
-
1 pointI really hope you guys can optimize it well for lower end PC's, it would be cool, I can run Arma 3 decently, but not the best.

1 point***UPDATE*** I have decided to go in a different direction from racing, and as such I am disbanding Underground racing. I still plan on running a chop shop, and will be making a new thread for that. I would like to thank everyone who showed interest.

1 pointHello citizens! It's been too long since our last developer blog entry, so I wanted to take the time today to update all of our backers on Identity's current state of development, as well as give a little more insight into the process behind the scenes. During the first year and a bit of development, most of the time was spent developing key backend systems. Networking modifications, weapon physics, character customization, voice communication and so on. That's all behind us now, and I'm happy to say it's gone as well as we could have hoped. Now and for the past couple of months we've moved on to gameplay development, making those backend features do the fun stuff. This Month in Development In this last month our lead character artist, Miroslav, has finished up everything we need for your characters going into the Town Square release. We're always going to be adding more character customizations over time, but to start you'll have the choice between 4 male and 5 female race options. After selecting your base race you can customize further with skin tones, blemishes, scars, eye color, hair styles, hair colors and tweaks to facial features. Identity is expanding on the usual character customization, though, as some of the options available can only be gotten through achievements. Prison tattoos are an example; if you see someone with such a tattoo you know they've done something to earn it. A lot of work this month has also gone into the player housing systems. In following our previous messages, our home customization system has been in place for some months although we've been expanding the floorplans in preperation for the Town Square module release. Sean, or Motown as you may know him, has prepared the various apartments you will have in the Town Square. If you have made a smaller pledge to Identity and do not have an apartment yet, we're going to be giving you access to a temporary (small) home in the Town Square so that you can play with the cusomization features. If you've pledged for a package containing an apartment, Town Square will show what you'll have in the full Identity game upon release. Just this morning our lead programmer, Henrik (AKA Mathalion), finished up the karaoke systems. It's a minor feature for Identity as a whole, but it's going to be loads of fun in the Town Square module! Just off the lobby of the hotel is a slick little bar, complete with a karaoke stage. You'll be able to queue up your favorite songs on the karaoke machine and see the lyrics on one of the monitors around the stage. The microphone on the stage really works, too, amplifying your voice out of the speakers so that your singing can be heard by everyone there! Most of us are terrible singers, so karaoke is going to have a lot of hilarious moments. If you're just there to watch, the restaurant by the stage is fully functional, too! It's Been Too Long I'll just come right out and say it: we at Asylum Entertainment have really had poor PR these last months, and you guys deserve better. You deserve much more frequent updates, and we're committing to give you that moving forward. We're a relatively small development team today. Currently a core staff of 5 incredibly talented full-time developers, I'm amazed every day with what this team can accomplish. Outside of our core we have a handful of part-time workers, mostly artists, who are also very skilled. Because we're a small team, many of us have to wear several hats. For example, Sean is our community manager but also a 3D artist. I myself am the project manager, a programmer and interface developer. This leads to few resources to dedicate towards PR as there's so much work to be done on the game itself. This is something we knew though, and we're going to set some time aside regularly to keep you in the loop. The Town Square module is coming soon. We're in the final months of 2016 now, and you'll finally be inside the first piece of the Identity world in the first quarter of 2017. It's a little later than we originally hoped since we're dedicated to making sure everything is smooth and stable from the first moments. Identity is an enormous undertaking, but the most difficult bits are behind us and we're drawing near! What to Expect The first stage of game development is always very boring to talk about, and also doesn't give us much to show you. Creating those backend systems that drive the game behind the scenes is one of the most important phases, but it's not very glamorous. It's for this reason that most games aren't announced until they're a couple years into development. Now that we're past that point, we're going to be able to start showing you real Identity gameplay. The first gameplay video you'll see is going to be in November and will show you just how detailed and in-depth Identity is becomming! You'll see a walkthrough of our housing system, showing just how far it can be customized and some of the cool fun features you'll find in there. Following that video we'll give you a glimpse of the Town Square features, leading up to its release. It's been a ton of work and a long time coming, but we're moving forward at a great pace and everything is about to get very exciting over here.

1 pointIs anything going to be done about 12 year old kids coming in and playing the game like it's GTA? (Going around on killing sprees and killing other players for the fun of it) That might get annoying. I feel like it'll be inevitable. Also, sort of a side-question. What will happen when the player does die? Do they start over or something?

1 pointWell I'm not being rude I'm just telling it like it is. If you don't want to participate in the pre business thing then don't. But the smart ones who want to start a business will already have somewhat of an idea of where to start. I have a dealership business and i'v spoken to admins and developers about it and I have a pretty good idea of where and how my business stands. At the end of the day your post was unnecessary. Stop ruining people's creativity and being negative. You have posted this 3 times and is annoying. Nobody cares and we aren't going to stop. If you don't like it there's a log out button if you need it. Again not being rude just my "two cents"
