3 pointsYesterday afternoon, for another Identity Insider, we've released a video detailing the workings of player housing in Identity and what it has to offer at our present point in development. This gives you a good idea of the level of fidelity we're going for in all of our key systems, and more videos will follow as we continue. Housing was chosen for our first video as our initial focus in development is for features present in the upcoming Town Square module. If you haven't already seen the video, check it out above. Housing as you've seen in the video is an excellent place to hang out with friends, but it has a lot of good practical uses, too! First, housing is the primary storage location for items you've collected. Whether it's a bookshelf full of books, a gun-rack with wall-mounted guns, or a crate full of junk, it's sort of like a bank for tangible stuff. Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!

2 pointsWe at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. We'll be bringing you more information on the modules as they progress!

2 pointsIdea - JOB ARTICLES I Think it would be cool if someone looking for a job could go to a building which contains articles for jobs around the area. These articles could be placed by business owners looking for new employees or the game could generate jobs every once in a while. This would allow People to easily spread news that they are looking for an employee. They could also have specific needs on that CV where people would be rejected if they did not have them (e.g Driving licence, Experience) You could also have it where multiple people could give in submissions and the owner of the business could pick the person that they feel would be good for their job (they may be able to organise interviews). I feel like they could also add Training where a specific person would need a certain training licence on their 'CV' to do that job. The Employer would need to pay a fee to put it on the article so it would be a fair system. This would help the employer , looking for people, the employee, finding that job. It could also open up illegal activities like CV forgery so they could get that job or people could hire an employee and take them hostage. This is just an idea, if anyone has any other improvements please let me know. - JT

2 pointsNobody is entirely sure if the Rizzuto family are a faction of the Bonnanos, but before they broke off they were a faction of the Cotroni family, who are Calabrian (therefore most likely Ndragheta). That said, the Rizzutos are definitely the most violent active Italian OC group in the US now that Philly is doing the smart thing and not killing each other every two seconds. My point is that compared to the 20th century, very few people are killed in Italian-American OC these days. And that's probably for the best.

1 pointThe Gentleman's Club Est.1863 The Gentleman's Club is a social club for upper-class citizens of Identity. We aim to have a subsided club for the rich citizens of the island for us to get together and engage in activities as one. PLEASE NOTE: This is in no way a gang and will never involve illegal activities. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ranks The rank structure of the club is simple and easy. The Chairman is the highest rank of the club and is the leader of the club. The role of the chairman is to arrange meetings and to make sure that all costs for the clubhouse and other private properties are met. The Vice Chairman is the second highest rank within the club. The role of the vice chairman is much like the role of the chairman. They will have control over the club whilst the chairman is not present and will also suggest new club rules and updates as well as help arranging evens for the club. The Chairmans Secretary helps the Chairman in making sure that all bills are paid on time and arranges meetings for the Chairman and Vice Chairman. They work very closely with the Chairman and Vice Chairman. The Baron is in charge of anything money. They are in charge of the cashflow into the club and ensure that the money is handled well before being distributed between assets that need to be paid such as the club house and our Knights. The Duke is last staff rank of the club. The role of the duke is to observe and help run club events. They will be present at every club event to see that they running smoothly and that everyone is following the rules. They are also in charge of land and property ownership and maintains our private land for a personal use. A Man of Honor is a Gentleman who has shown their worth to the club by being in for a certain amount of time and by helping to fund the club. These members should be given the utmost respect for their contribution to the club. An Esteemed Gentleman is a slight rank up from Gentleman. They have shown their worth to the club and can now gain access to the club house without invitation from a superior. The Gentleman of the club is the standard rank for those that have paid their way into the club. From this rank you can get involved in club events as well as pass time at our private clubhouse. You must be provided with an invitation to the clubhouse before entering. Crusaders are a rank up from Knights. They are a senior Knight who has taken the role of leading the Knights and ensuring they are doing their job correctly and receive the proper training. Within our newly founded Crusaders Division you can find the Knights. These are the specially trained guards of The Gentleman's Club club house and vault. No one gets past these brave men without the proper authority and they assure that no one gets to places they arent supposed to be. They are put through rigorous training and are generally sought out from military and special forces backgrounds due to their discipline and trust. The Club Mechanic maintains all club members vehicles in a private garage on site and ensures they are in tip top shape before their next use. An Associate of the club is someone who is a friend of the club. Someone who holds this rank gives them limited access to the clubhouse although they will not be allowed to join in on club events or meetings. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Events/Activites The club will get involved in various activities, all of which are private events for the club. Some of these events are: - Hunting - Pool - Socialising - Darts - Smoking Pipes - Etc. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Shared Vault An idea that i would like to implement into The Gentleman's Club is a shared vault. This vault will allow players to deposit and withdraw money from a shared account that we can all put money into. We can add a new rank known as The Accountant and have him set up the account and record how much is deposited and withdrawn by each member. Of course there will be rules on this as we dont want people taking out everything but it means that people can access money if they need a little extra to buy a better suit or if we need to use some to pay for the rent. Gentlemen, let me know what you think of this before we make it official. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Admission To become a Gentleman first you must have over a certain amount of money in your bank account (TBD). After, you must pay an admission fee (TBD). From there, you will become a Gentleman and will have access to our clubhouse and events. PLEASE NOTE: This is a mens only club, however, if enough female characters would like to request to join, a new female-only wing will be added. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Members [ Member Count = 27 ] The Gentleman's Club The Gentleman's Club Constitution [@Herzog] - Chairman [@AndrewDonaldson] - Vice Chairman [@GeneSmith] - [Baron] [@Fakeout] - Man of Honor [@Berq] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Rem] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Josearaujo] - Esteemed Gentleman [@DanTheMan007] - Esteemed Gentleman [@dragon_12dk] - Esteemed Gentleman [@SonsofAsgard] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Joel_is_online] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Dream] - Esteemed Gentleman [@JoelKeys] - Esteemed Gentleman [@KingBen1223] - Esteemed Gentleman [@BioHaze] - Esteemed Gentleman [@White_Death] - Esteemed Gentleman [@dolore] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Capped] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Shadow765] - Esteemed Gentleman [@ForestCayden] - Esteemed Gentleman ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crusaders Division (Security) Security SOP [@Indoorseeker] - Head of Security [@slovaceck] - Internal Affairs [@Hanshi-Toshiro] - Drill Instructor [@Scottv10] - Crusader [@Alpha] - Knight [@QuannTann] - Knight [@DROSE] - Knight _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Winstons Tailors All members of the club receive a discount on all purchases at the newly opened tailors, Winstons. 1 pointDear haters of this game, I understand that a lot of people have many doubts on this game thinking that it will be a 2nd "No Man's Sky" and it's too ambitious of a project, or simply just impossible, then please reconsider and give this game a chance. Yes there are a lot of expectations in this game and yes it has limitations but this game is striving to become a new genre all in itself. After this game comes out, or even before, you might see big corporations trying to copy this as this has become very popular and very unique. This brings me to my main point. If your trying to say that this game is like those made by major corporations, it's not. It's made by a small team of developers who fantasized about this type of game. Instead of sitting around like the rest of us do and expect a game like this to be handed to us, they took the initiative and MADE this game. Also, we aren't buying "early access" per say. We are giving the developers money to continue working on this game and bring this community something that we all enjoy. Most of us are here because we wanted this type of game to come out and when it did, we all jumped on the great idea and are trying to make it a reality. The people who pledge $30 or more will get beta access, yes. This doesn't mean that they are trying to suck all the money out of us as they can. They simply NEED funding unlike games made by BE or BLIZZARD or Valve, etc. I hope you put this here as a joke. If you meant this in a detrimental way then I think that you need to find a better use of your time. Again, the people of the Identity community love this game and wish for it to be a reality. If we didn't buy "early access" and all the other perks, then there would be no game. Valve can pump out new games for as long as they want without selling early access. They can make games that are F2P and have no micro transactions whatsoever simply because of the fact that they have the funding too and will be bringing in more money than they know what to do with. This being said, Asylum Entertainment has no major funding expect for the people that like the community and the game. I can't speak for everyone, but I think that most people part of the community appreciate what Asylum Entertainment is doing and giving us a game that is 1. Cheap, 2. NOT pay to win, and 3. Something that a lot of people have fantasized about for a long time. You can buy the game and become the most powerful person on the official servers just by playing and being dedicated. I am not 100% on this but I heard that it will cost around $15 USD to buy the full game. There are micro transactions but they are purely cosmetic. This is purely a community based driven game. Almost the whole world is controlled by the people. This is a game created by the people for the people. If you still have doubts in your mind then that's fine, different people have different opinions and you are entitled to yours. I hope that you can at least not spread hate about this game. Thanks for reading and if you agree then leave a like to show the power of the community and to show that you really care about this game! ~Rem P.S: If this can for some reason get pinned, It might help show the haters the power of the people and community!

1 pointThis post will short it pretty much sums up what i think about people starting gangs and businesses before the first module is even out. Its cool and all that people are getting creative and trying to get members and staff already BUT the game is not out yet... as of now nobody is anything and most people have the same amount of money and resources once the game is released. People claiming to be the best gang or best MC or business are wrong they are all on the same level as of right now once the game is released there will be a lot of people who have a gang or business without a gang or business. I think people should wait until they actually have the things for making a gang or business before making the gang or business. Just my two cents

1 pointThe Irish Mob had been in America for a long time before the Italians so when the Italians did show up and started taking over it caused huge tensions. The Irish Mob went through many changes between 1890-1960 to just try and combat the spread of the Italian Mafia. However, it was infighting and greed that got them in the end. A common Irish flaw among armed coalitions seems to be infighting. They lost their prominence in the US. Around the same time as this, the 1960s, they grew prominence in Ireland. Limerick and Dublin especially. Many former IRA leaders could no longer fund their fighting and had to turn to drugs to raise money too.

1 pointDefinitely in the Torrio/Capone days of the Chicago Outfit, but they've also worked together quite a few times. Who? The Rizzuto family? Do you have a source for that? There was 1 hit in Melbourne earlier in the year, but he wasn't a made man, just a mob lawyer. An Ndragheta figure was hit in NSW a few weeks ago, maybe that's what you're referring to.
-
1 point1) Just about anything you can think of. Police, paramedics and firefighters. If you have the capital you can start a business of your choosing. You could become a lone criminal or even join a crime family. It'd just be easier for you to name a job and me tell you whether or not it'll be in the game. 2) Yes, there will be community servers. 3) According to Motown, the island will be approximately 225 square kilometers, with a few islands around the coast. I doubt you'll be able to swim out to see, so invisible barriers shouldn't be a problem. 4) Nope. 5) No TS3 integration, as far as I know. You can use either voice or text chat in-game. 6) I'd assume you'll be able to break into cars. As for houses and apartments, no.

1 pointMost likely not as unfortunately i doubt the developers would create a house with such functionality just for one group. Most likely would be a shared bank account but the Knights are there for other purposes too
-
1 pointIt wouldn't be very realistic if people had easy access to explosives (or sniper rifles, for that matter), so they aren't being included in the game. It's much better the way they have it - only handguns are easily accessible.
-
1 pointI'm more so interested in seeing what the devs are able to do when they're no longer restricted by the ArmA engine and mission files for the servers. From what I've seen, this game will over-satisfy. Hello everyone.
-
1 pointFirst of all, welcome to Identity, secondly before asking questions please use the search function, as many questions you have have probably been answered, and make sure to post to the correct section of the forum in order to avoid cluttering them up.

1 pointExactly, I was about to ask about that on the "Other Jobs" tab, well the whole thread actually, I would like to see us being able to do it, but not having presets for it, just being able to get the skin templates would do a lot of good to anyone wanting to do tattoos, I always wear tattoos on my characters... Unfortunately I don't have it here anymore, but I did tattoos for a character on a DayZ private server, it didn't look as detailed as this one because I had limited work area, but it looked like this:

1 pointHello guys! I have both Real Life and In Game experience as a police Officer. I was an LSPD Sergeant in GTA SAMP Los Santos Roleplay and was part of their 280 police faction for nearly 2 years. I roleplayed on a heavy RP server with applications to get into the server. I was part of the Los Santos Police Department as a Sergeant I and was under control of Patrol 2-2, the largest patrol in the department. In real life I work for the emergency hotline, 112, and handle FD and EMS calls during my shifts. I also applied for the Police in real life and currently waiting for my academy to start off to become a real police officer.

1 pointI joined this forum when it was about 3 days old, and I have been on since. While I have had my doubts and been inactive for sometime now i am back with new love for the devs since they showed us the first real gameplay. The game is looking great. Can´t wait to play and live in this world of ours with those I´ve talked to on these forums since it opened. The friends I´ve made here, the troubles @Kickapoo has gotten himself into and required my help, and the sneaky detective of Misneden Security (now discontinued) @Norway174. Not to mention my first interactions here was with @FlyingDuck who I have talked loads with. The old guard is to numerous to mention, the times I´ve enjoy to many to count. Big shoutout to @Arlmar @Katie @Vix and so many others. While we all been here the devs have been very active, been apart of discussions, answered questions and deleted cancerous threads while being friendly to the community #Hugs4TheIdentityRPGDevs #Hugs2TheIdentityCommunity and #Hugs4me

1 pointHello Mac and welcome to the identity community! I hope to see you with in the game in the future. I am from the UK, hope to see you in the world of identity
-
1 pointWhy not ? Modding brings new life into games. For example a modder of Ark, a game made on the same engine as this one, made a map so awesome that the devs included it in the official game and even hired him at their studio. The map was way better than the ones in the original game. Imagine what modding could bring to this game...a new kind of Open Sim with Unreal graphics, and a lot more activities to do. Blueprints also make scripting a lot easier for everyone . The community potential is huge for this game .

1 pointPersonally, I'm 17, turning 18 in August of 2017. Quite a lot of people have said that they'd prefer an 18+ age limit (To play, roleplay as a cop or both) and even if I want to roleplay as a police officer (and planning to apply for the police academy in real life), I can't help but agree with them. There's going to be players in their twenties through thirties that actually wants to spend their time with advanced and serious roleplayers. I'm not saying 12 and 13-year-olds can't be good, but there's going to be people that have roleplayed for longer than they could talk. I have a decent amount of experience with roleplay and a good amount of experience with building characters, but due to the possibility of an 18+ age limit, I can't get my hopes up for being able to roleplay as a cop or even be allowed onto the servers if it's released before my birthday. And that's fine. There are multiple reasons for why anyone under the age of 14 shouldn't be allowed near games like these, but I think that a trial period or a certain set of servers would be appropriate to test this out. People under a certain age could also apply to play Identity and be set under a stricter set of rules than their seniors. (This was somewhat of a brainstorm and English isn't my native language. My apologies if some of the sentences may seem incoherent.)
-
1 pointThis idea has its merits. Identity already has a system where you can play YouTube videos in-game on TV screens. Maybe this can also be applied to large commercial TV screens? I'm not sure, but I think offering advertisements to content creators could really help boost the games player base.

1 pointToday we publish the first Identity Insider update, bringing you detailed information about key systems in Identity. Our website has expanded with a small page detailing corporations and their classes, also available below: Corporations in Identity You've made a lot of cash working odd jobs, or maybe even the odd less-than-legal task; now that you've had a taste of success, it's time to forge an empire. Corporations will allow the successful with a little extra cash to become driving forces in Identity's dynamic economy. Corporations are organizations similar to, but separate from, gangs and other social structures. They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees. Some assets, such as the largest cargo trucks, are available only to corporations. Once formed, the corporation is assigned a telephone number for public contact and the director (owner) can build a logo using an in-game design tool. It's then time to hire a staff and get to work. Classes of Corporations Delivery Delivery corporations can buy large vehicles for big hauls, vehicles not available to the general public. While any player can deliver goods in vehicles such as vans, to get the big-bucks you'll need to join a corporation. Legal Let's face it, crimes happen and criminals are going to be arrested. They'll need someone on the outside to convince the jury that they did nothing wrong. This is where legal corporations come into play, and their services aren't always cheap. Transportation People need to get from point A to point B and they don't always have the means to do that themselves. Transportation corporations own special vehicle assets including taxis and more, helping those in need get where they need to be. Manufacturing From the shoes on your feet to the sofa under your seat, almost everything in Identity is built and crafted by other players. Manufacturing corporations give their employees access to a wider variety of constructables and resources, for a cut of the profits. Always Expanding As with most things in Identity, we at Asylum will constantly be expanding this system adding new classes of corporations and building on those already available. Identity's release is only the beginning. If you have any ideas for a well-suited corporation class, let us know on the forums.

1 pointThe age rating will be 18 but the devs don't mind younger people playing, also there will be nothing in place to stop 12 year old kids playing but they will not be able to get guns like in GTA (they will be more rare) and so that's a more of a thing. When you die on official servers, you lose the money on you, guns, etc. but not clothing. You will either respawn at your last binding area (house/ apartment) or wait for a ambulance to arrive and a paramedic to revive you.

1 pointThink of it like San Andreas Multiplayer. But you have the San Andreas, Vice City and GTA 3 map in one. Along with Bullworth and a few other cities

1 pointHey guys, I'm really happy about how excited you all are to see these screenshots of the Town Square. They're just meant to be a little something to show you guys how progress is going for that module! You might remember the first screenshot of this location that we published back in may, and will notice that the square has been completely rebuilt from that original version! Just keep in mind that this is a work in progress with much of the detail, props, decals, lighting and textures still remaining to be added to the scene. Old Square:

1 pointCan't wait to get in identity and start my Empire of crime and profits. There will be so much in identity for a Mafia roleplayer like me to do. Anyone who likes Mafia roleplay is welcome to join.
