Yesterday afternoon, for another Identity Insider, we've released a video detailing the workings of player housing in Identity and what it has to offer at our present point in development. This gives you a good idea of the level of fidelity we're going for in all of our key systems, and more videos will follow as we continue. Housing was chosen for our first video as our initial focus in development is for features present in the upcoming Town Square module. If you haven't already seen the video, check it out above. Housing as you've seen in the video is an excellent place to hang out with friends, but it has a lot of good practical uses, too! First, housing is the primary storage location for items you've collected. Whether it's a bookshelf full of books, a gun-rack with wall-mounted guns, or a crate full of junk, it's sort of like a bank for tangible stuff. Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!

We at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. We'll be bringing you more information on the modules as they progress!

Idea - JOB ARTICLES I Think it would be cool if someone looking for a job could go to a building which contains articles for jobs around the area. These articles could be placed by business owners looking for new employees or the game could generate jobs every once in a while. This would allow People to easily spread news that they are looking for an employee. They could also have specific needs on that CV where people would be rejected if they did not have them (e.g Driving licence, Experience) You could also have it where multiple people could give in submissions and the owner of the business could pick the person that they feel would be good for their job (they may be able to organise interviews). I feel like they could also add Training where a specific person would need a certain training licence on their 'CV' to do that job. The Employer would need to pay a fee to put it on the article so it would be a fair system. This would help the employer , looking for people, the employee, finding that job. It could also open up illegal activities like CV forgery so they could get that job or people could hire an employee and take them hostage. This is just an idea, if anyone has any other improvements please let me know. - JT

Nobody is entirely sure if the Rizzuto family are a faction of the Bonnanos, but before they broke off they were a faction of the Cotroni family, who are Calabrian (therefore most likely Ndragheta). That said, the Rizzutos are definitely the most violent active Italian OC group in the US now that Philly is doing the smart thing and not killing each other every two seconds. My point is that compared to the 20th century, very few people are killed in Italian-American OC these days. And that's probably for the best.

The Gentleman's Club Est.1863 The Gentleman's Club is a social club for upper-class citizens of Identity. We aim to have a subsided club for the rich citizens of the island for us to get together and engage in activities as one. PLEASE NOTE: This is in no way a gang and will never involve illegal activities. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ranks The rank structure of the club is simple and easy. The Chairman is the highest rank of the club and is the leader of the club. The role of the chairman is to arrange meetings and to make sure that all costs for the clubhouse and other private properties are met. The Vice Chairman is the second highest rank within the club. The role of the vice chairman is much like the role of the chairman. They will have control over the club whilst the chairman is not present and will also suggest new club rules and updates as well as help arranging evens for the club. The Chairmans Secretary helps the Chairman in making sure that all bills are paid on time and arranges meetings for the Chairman and Vice Chairman. They work very closely with the Chairman and Vice Chairman. The Baron is in charge of anything money. They are in charge of the cashflow into the club and ensure that the money is handled well before being distributed between assets that need to be paid such as the club house and our Knights. The Duke is last staff rank of the club. The role of the duke is to observe and help run club events. They will be present at every club event to see that they running smoothly and that everyone is following the rules. They are also in charge of land and property ownership and maintains our private land for a personal use. A Man of Honor is a Gentleman who has shown their worth to the club by being in for a certain amount of time and by helping to fund the club. These members should be given the utmost respect for their contribution to the club. An Esteemed Gentleman is a slight rank up from Gentleman. They have shown their worth to the club and can now gain access to the club house without invitation from a superior. The Gentleman of the club is the standard rank for those that have paid their way into the club. From this rank you can get involved in club events as well as pass time at our private clubhouse. You must be provided with an invitation to the clubhouse before entering. Crusaders are a rank up from Knights. They are a senior Knight who has taken the role of leading the Knights and ensuring they are doing their job correctly and receive the proper training. Within our newly founded Crusaders Division you can find the Knights. These are the specially trained guards of The Gentleman's Club club house and vault. No one gets past these brave men without the proper authority and they assure that no one gets to places they arent supposed to be. They are put through rigorous training and are generally sought out from military and special forces backgrounds due to their discipline and trust. The Club Mechanic maintains all club members vehicles in a private garage on site and ensures they are in tip top shape before their next use. An Associate of the club is someone who is a friend of the club. Someone who holds this rank gives them limited access to the clubhouse although they will not be allowed to join in on club events or meetings. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Events/Activites The club will get involved in various activities, all of which are private events for the club. Some of these events are: - Hunting - Pool - Socialising - Darts - Smoking Pipes - Etc. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Shared Vault An idea that i would like to implement into The Gentleman's Club is a shared vault. This vault will allow players to deposit and withdraw money from a shared account that we can all put money into. We can add a new rank known as The Accountant and have him set up the account and record how much is deposited and withdrawn by each member. Of course there will be rules on this as we dont want people taking out everything but it means that people can access money if they need a little extra to buy a better suit or if we need to use some to pay for the rent. Gentlemen, let me know what you think of this before we make it official. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Admission To become a Gentleman first you must have over a certain amount of money in your bank account (TBD). After, you must pay an admission fee (TBD). From there, you will become a Gentleman and will have access to our clubhouse and events. PLEASE NOTE: This is a mens only club, however, if enough female characters would like to request to join, a new female-only wing will be added. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Members [ Member Count = 27 ] The Gentleman's Club The Gentleman's Club Constitution [@Herzog] - Chairman [@AndrewDonaldson] - Vice Chairman [@GeneSmith] - [Baron] [@Fakeout] - Man of Honor [@Berq] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Rem] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Josearaujo] - Esteemed Gentleman [@DanTheMan007] - Esteemed Gentleman [@dragon_12dk] - Esteemed Gentleman [@SonsofAsgard] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Joel_is_online] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Dream] - Esteemed Gentleman [@JoelKeys] - Esteemed Gentleman [@KingBen1223] - Esteemed Gentleman [@BioHaze] - Esteemed Gentleman [@White_Death] - Esteemed Gentleman [@dolore] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Capped] - Esteemed Gentleman [@Shadow765] - Esteemed Gentleman [@ForestCayden] - Esteemed Gentleman ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crusaders Division (Security) Security SOP [@Indoorseeker] - Head of Security [@slovaceck] - Internal Affairs [@Hanshi-Toshiro] - Drill Instructor [@Scottv10] - Crusader [@Alpha] - Knight [@QuannTann] - Knight [@DROSE] - Knight _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Winstons Tailors All members of the club receive a discount on all purchases at the newly opened tailors, Winstons. I can't wait to get my hands on this game! This game is something I've always wanted to happen. I'm going to love getting to know everyone here and forging my own path in the world! Perhaps one day you'll all work for me! Or I'll be the unknown mail manager in the basement of Super.Co.Inc. Either or, I'll be happy doing it!

Dear haters of this game, I understand that a lot of people have many doubts on this game thinking that it will be a 2nd "No Man's Sky" and it's too ambitious of a project, or simply just impossible, then please reconsider and give this game a chance. Yes there are a lot of expectations in this game and yes it has limitations but this game is striving to become a new genre all in itself. After this game comes out, or even before, you might see big corporations trying to copy this as this has become very popular and very unique. This brings me to my main point. If your trying to say that this game is like those made by major corporations, it's not. It's made by a small team of developers who fantasized about this type of game. Instead of sitting around like the rest of us do and expect a game like this to be handed to us, they took the initiative and MADE this game. Also, we aren't buying "early access" per say. We are giving the developers money to continue working on this game and bring this community something that we all enjoy. Most of us are here because we wanted this type of game to come out and when it did, we all jumped on the great idea and are trying to make it a reality. The people who pledge $30 or more will get beta access, yes. This doesn't mean that they are trying to suck all the money out of us as they can. They simply NEED funding unlike games made by BE or BLIZZARD or Valve, etc. I hope you put this here as a joke. If you meant this in a detrimental way then I think that you need to find a better use of your time. Again, the people of the Identity community love this game and wish for it to be a reality. If we didn't buy "early access" and all the other perks, then there would be no game. Valve can pump out new games for as long as they want without selling early access. They can make games that are F2P and have no micro transactions whatsoever simply because of the fact that they have the funding too and will be bringing in more money than they know what to do with. This being said, Asylum Entertainment has no major funding expect for the people that like the community and the game. I can't speak for everyone, but I think that most people part of the community appreciate what Asylum Entertainment is doing and giving us a game that is 1. Cheap, 2. NOT pay to win, and 3. Something that a lot of people have fantasized about for a long time. You can buy the game and become the most powerful person on the official servers just by playing and being dedicated. I am not 100% on this but I heard that it will cost around $15 USD to buy the full game. There are micro transactions but they are purely cosmetic. This is purely a community based driven game. Almost the whole world is controlled by the people. This is a game created by the people for the people. If you still have doubts in your mind then that's fine, different people have different opinions and you are entitled to yours. I hope that you can at least not spread hate about this game. Thanks for reading and if you agree then leave a like to show the power of the community and to show that you really care about this game! ~Rem P.S: If this can for some reason get pinned, It might help show the haters the power of the people and community!

MTA SA is basically, Gta SanAndreas multiplayer on PC. There is one server on that game called Cit2. It usually has 800 people on it. Basically no NPC, and 800 real people on the SanAndreas map. There are tons of jobs, Police, ambulance, fireman, garbage man, farmer, fisher, pilot, and criminal. With all of these jobs come custom scripting to make them full. Farmers have custom jobs, and ways to plant things and get money, fisher get boats and do a sort of minigame to actually get fish, and criminals have turfing, different drugs, robbing stores, atms, and houses. Every house on the server is also ownable by a player like identity will be. In case anyone plays the game, pm me.

Name: Junior Timoteo Nickname: Gamebred Age: 25 Hair/Eye: Black & Brown Height/Weight: 6'1" 205Ibs Fighting out Of: Maui, HI Amateur Record: 9-0 Pro Record: 13-3 Belts/Ranks Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under Minotauro Nogueira. Brown Belt in Machida Karate under Yoshizo Machida. Junior Timoteo was born on the island of Maui on Dec 21, 1991. He is of Hawaiian and Portuguese descent. Right after birth his grandfather adopted him. His grandfather is Silvano Timoteo, a high ranking member of the Hawaiian Syndicate. Junior was homeschooled by a private tutor hired by his grandfather. When his lessons were finished his grandpa's friend Big Joe Kaleikini (Hitman for the HS) would come over and train him in Boxing. At the age of 16 Junior excelled in his studies so much he was able to graduate a year early. When he graduated he expressed interest in joining the ranks of the Hawaiian Syndicate and live the life like his Grandfather Silvano and his Uncle Nelson. His Grandpa shut that idea down real quick. He wanted Junior to live a different life. One more successful. He obliged with his Grandpas wishes and decided to become a fighter. At the age of 17 his grandpa gave him the money he made Junior save since he was 5 which came out to about 10k and sent him off to achieve his goal. But Junior no longer wants to be just a boxer. He wants to be a Mixed Martial Artist. So he went to the place he knew he could achieve his dream. Los Santos, San Andreas. Today He has trained with the likes of the Nogueira Brothers, Lyoto & Chinzo Machida, BJ Penn and Vitor Belfort. He has an amateur Record of 9-0 and a Pro Record of 13-3. He is also a member of Feared n Fearless MC. His grandfather wasn't too happy of him joining a 1%er MC but Junior flew him out to meet the brothers and Grandpa Silvano actually had a good time and is happy his only grandson finally found a sense of brotherhood. He is now coming to Identity to break thru in the MMA world.

I was referring to the lawyer killed outside his shop, it wa supposedly done by n'drangheta. I dont have a direct source for it, but if you do some digging you can easily find it, even watch a coule of documentaries. They are heavily involved in huge construction.

Yes traditionally they have been in the u.s.
  23. 1 point
Ya I understand and agree with your point. Also, the Cotroni family were Calabrese, but they were different because they weren't n'drangheta back in Italy and when they came over to Canada they modelled their family structure after the Sicilian style. Today the Rizzuto clan is mainly Sicilian but also includes Italians from other regions, and in that sense they are a true pan-Italian, yet Sicilian based, la cosa nostra family.

Maybe it's not as grandiose as it was in the 20th century but hits are still prominent nowadays. Even in the small country of Ireland there were 10 men killed in the Kinahan-Hutch feud over the past year. These included hits overseas, hits in a hotel during a press conference whete the hitmen were disguised as gaurds, and a hit in a family pub.

I've seen quite a few 'community backed' games come and go over the past few years, so it's amusing to me to see the same basic arguments being used for this game as all the others. It's also amusing to see all the same complaints about 'it taking too long' or 'it being pay to win', etcetera. I'm going to back this project, at the minimum level, because it's being made by the people that created Altis Life (which is the most interesting Arma mod I've ever played). I don't have any expectations for Identity. I don't expect it to be finished in the 2-3 years. I don't have an opinion on how gameplay or game mechanics should be designed. I just want to see how the project unveils, and I want to give John VanderZwet a chance to make his dream game. Too often, I see people trying to imprint their own ideas and expectations on games that are in development. They get upset when a game doesn't follow their logic or understanding, or it takes too long to develop. This happens from both haters and fanboys, and I think gamers, as a whole, need to take a step back and realize that not every game has to fit their specific requirements. It's ok for someone to develop something outside of the norms. We should enjoy a game for what it is, and try to understand what the developer is trying to make for us. If the developer has clear vision, and the ability to make a good engine, then the game will be successful. It's important that we embrace this model of funding going forward. I think everyone is tired of AAA publishers releasing the same garbage again and again, and community backing is how we break that cycle. It's how we get back to getting games made by gamers, for gamers. Obviously, there's a lot of risk in this funding model but I feel that it's worth it if it uncovers those 'diamond in the rough' games that would otherwise remain hidden away. I look forward to helping test this game, and although I don't plan on being active in this community, I will voice my input in a calm and logical manner. And on a personal note REM: I look forward to hearing your radio broadcasts in-game someday . Your signature is a little huge though, so maybe trim it down a bit. I had to hide it, and now I don't know how to get it back.

I joined this forum when it was about 3 days old, and I have been on since. While I have had my doubts and been inactive for sometime now i am back with new love for the devs since they showed us the first real gameplay. The game is looking great. Can´t wait to play and live in this world of ours with those I´ve talked to on these forums since it opened. The friends I´ve made here, the troubles @Kickapoo has gotten himself into and required my help, and the sneaky detective of Misneden Security (now discontinued) @Norway174. Not to mention my first interactions here was with @FlyingDuck who I have talked loads with. The old guard is to numerous to mention, the times I´ve enjoy to many to count. Big shoutout to @Arlmar @Katie @Vix and so many others. While we all been here the devs have been very active, been apart of discussions, answered questions and deleted cancerous threads while being friendly to the community #Hugs4TheIdentityRPGDevs #Hugs2TheIdentityCommunity and #Hugs4me

I would rather the developers do DLC's than have servers modded. But yes modding has true potential but when modding comes it takes over the game and you will find that no one plays the servers without modding and it ruins it, mods take over the game and some people could make a lot of new content for their server and then the non modded servers won't survive if they don't mod with custom content if they are newly up.

Hello citizens! It's been too long since our last developer blog entry, so I wanted to take the time today to update all of our backers on Identity's current state of development, as well as give a little more insight into the process behind the scenes. During the first year and a bit of development, most of the time was spent developing key backend systems. Networking modifications, weapon physics, character customization, voice communication and so on. That's all behind us now, and I'm happy to say it's gone as well as we could have hoped. Now and for the past couple of months we've moved on to gameplay development, making those backend features do the fun stuff. This Month in Development In this last month our lead character artist, Miroslav, has finished up everything we need for your characters going into the Town Square release. We're always going to be adding more character customizations over time, but to start you'll have the choice between 4 male and 5 female race options. After selecting your base race you can customize further with skin tones, blemishes, scars, eye color, hair styles, hair colors and tweaks to facial features. Identity is expanding on the usual character customization, though, as some of the options available can only be gotten through achievements. Prison tattoos are an example; if you see someone with such a tattoo you know they've done something to earn it. A lot of work this month has also gone into the player housing systems. In following our previous messages, our home customization system has been in place for some months although we've been expanding the floorplans in preperation for the Town Square module release. Sean, or Motown as you may know him, has prepared the various apartments you will have in the Town Square. If you have made a smaller pledge to Identity and do not have an apartment yet, we're going to be giving you access to a temporary (small) home in the Town Square so that you can play with the cusomization features. If you've pledged for a package containing an apartment, Town Square will show what you'll have in the full Identity game upon release. Just this morning our lead programmer, Henrik (AKA Mathalion), finished up the karaoke systems. It's a minor feature for Identity as a whole, but it's going to be loads of fun in the Town Square module! Just off the lobby of the hotel is a slick little bar, complete with a karaoke stage. You'll be able to queue up your favorite songs on the karaoke machine and see the lyrics on one of the monitors around the stage. The microphone on the stage really works, too, amplifying your voice out of the speakers so that your singing can be heard by everyone there! Most of us are terrible singers, so karaoke is going to have a lot of hilarious moments. If you're just there to watch, the restaurant by the stage is fully functional, too! It's Been Too Long I'll just come right out and say it: we at Asylum Entertainment have really had poor PR these last months, and you guys deserve better. You deserve much more frequent updates, and we're committing to give you that moving forward. We're a relatively small development team today. Currently a core staff of 5 incredibly talented full-time developers, I'm amazed every day with what this team can accomplish. Outside of our core we have a handful of part-time workers, mostly artists, who are also very skilled. Because we're a small team, many of us have to wear several hats. For example, Sean is our community manager but also a 3D artist. I myself am the project manager, a programmer and interface developer. This leads to few resources to dedicate towards PR as there's so much work to be done on the game itself. This is something we knew though, and we're going to set some time aside regularly to keep you in the loop. The Town Square module is coming soon. We're in the final months of 2016 now, and you'll finally be inside the first piece of the Identity world in the first quarter of 2017. It's a little later than we originally hoped since we're dedicated to making sure everything is smooth and stable from the first moments. Identity is an enormous undertaking, but the most difficult bits are behind us and we're drawing near! What to Expect The first stage of game development is always very boring to talk about, and also doesn't give us much to show you. Creating those backend systems that drive the game behind the scenes is one of the most important phases, but it's not very glamorous. It's for this reason that most games aren't announced until they're a couple years into development. Now that we're past that point, we're going to be able to start showing you real Identity gameplay. The first gameplay video you'll see is going to be in November and will show you just how detailed and in-depth Identity is becomming! You'll see a walkthrough of our housing system, showing just how far it can be customized and some of the cool fun features you'll find in there. Following that video we'll give you a glimpse of the Town Square features, leading up to its release. It's been a ton of work and a long time coming, but we're moving forward at a great pace and everything is about to get very exciting over here.

Is anything going to be done about 12 year old kids coming in and playing the game like it's GTA? (Going around on killing sprees and killing other players for the fun of it) That might get annoying. I feel like it'll be inevitable. Also, sort of a side-question. What will happen when the player does die? Do they start over or something?
  44. 1 point
The age rating will be 18 but the devs don't mind younger people playing, also there will be nothing in place to stop 12 year old kids playing but they will not be able to get guns like in GTA (they will be more rare) and so that's a more of a thing. When you die on official servers, you lose the money on you, guns, etc. but not clothing. You will either respawn at your last binding area (house/ apartment) or wait for a ambulance to arrive and a paramedic to revive you.

Well I'm not being rude I'm just telling it like it is. If you don't want to participate in the pre business thing then don't. But the smart ones who want to start a business will already have somewhat of an idea of where to start. I have a dealership business and i'v spoken to admins and developers about it and I have a pretty good idea of where and how my business stands. At the end of the day your post was unnecessary. Stop ruining people's creativity and being negative. You have posted this 3 times and is annoying. Nobody cares and we aren't going to stop. If you don't like it there's a log out button if you need it. Again not being rude just my "two cents"

They're just meant to be a little something to show you guys how progress is going for that module! You might remember the first screenshot of this location that we published back in may, and will notice that the square has been completely rebuilt from that original version! Just keep in mind that this is a work in progress with much of the detail, props, decals, lighting and textures still remaining to be added to the scene. Old Square:

Mr. Falcone is a respected and powerful individual, and I am pleased to announce that we are allied. Atlas and ASC is working together, and his enemies are our enemies. See that as a warning. Sebastian Valentine Founder and CEO, Aegis Security Consulting
