So now we know transport and delivery companies will be a thing. One of the main ways the mafia makes money is from truck hijacking and then fencing the stolen goods. Will we be able to do that in Identity? I'd hope so.
  3. 2 points
    Sounds like a good company!

From what I gather, the devs have hinted that it will be because they said truckers have to be wary of bandits on the road.

Today we publish the first Identity Insider update, bringing you detailed information about key systems in Identity. Our website has expanded with a small page detailing corporations and their classes, also available below: Corporations in Identity You've made a lot of cash working odd jobs, or maybe even the odd less-than-legal task; now that you've had a taste of success, it's time to forge an empire. Corporations will allow the successful with a little extra cash to become driving forces in Identity's dynamic economy. Corporations are organizations similar to, but separate from, gangs and other social structures. They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees. Some assets, such as the largest cargo trucks, are available only to corporations. Once formed, the corporation is assigned a telephone number for public contact and the director (owner) can build a logo using an in-game design tool. It's then time to hire a staff and get to work. Classes of Corporations Delivery Delivery corporations can buy large vehicles for big hauls, vehicles not available to the general public. While any player can deliver goods in vehicles such as vans, to get the big-bucks you'll need to join a corporation. Legal Let's face it, crimes happen and criminals are going to be arrested. They'll need someone on the outside to convince the jury that they did nothing wrong. This is where legal corporations come into play, and their services aren't always cheap. Transportation People need to get from point A to point B and they don't always have the means to do that themselves. Transportation corporations own special vehicle assets including taxis and more, helping those in need get where they need to be. Manufacturing From the shoes on your feet to the sofa under your seat, almost everything in Identity is built and crafted by other players. Manufacturing corporations give their employees access to a wider variety of constructables and resources, for a cut of the profits. Always Expanding As with most things in Identity, we at Asylum will constantly be expanding this system adding new classes of corporations and building on those already available. Identity's release is only the beginning. If you have any ideas for a well-suited corporation class, let us know on the forums.

Zeus Corporations™ Dear Citizens of Identity, We are Zeus Corporations, we have the goal of becoming on of the most powerful companies in Identity. We will be holding trials/selections for different jobs within our company. Of course, we will not be taking on anyone who cannot be sure to prove themselves to be trust worthy. On a whole we have the goal of putting our brand on every single product, and generally making life easier for the people. We will be lowering the price of your standard groceries from which can end up costing you a lot of money over time as it is. We will achieve this by having our own farms, from which we will sell you the product at a more affordable price (c). Along the side of this idea, we will also be running a security operation with a twist. We will, of course, give people trained security officers to protect a specific VIP if necessary, but we will also carry out "deeds" that can be considered, a little in-humane at some stages. What can I say, business is business. Jobs up for grabs: > Gun/Firearm Managers > General Store Managers > Security Officer (also comes under the class of PMC) > Unreported Activity (No information given) > Clothes Store Owner > Head of distribution (will be based in our HQ) > Head of security (Based in HQ, but also has the job of leading security in the field) > Vehicle Mechanic (we need lots of different mechanics, depending on what needs to be repaired/upgraded/any work that really needs to be done) > Medical Officers (we need some medical trained personnel, as we will be having a private hospital, which supplies only the best health care) > Car Traders (this may become illegal, but of course, one of the CEOs will explain everything you need to know when you join) > Boat Traders (this may become illegal, but of course, one of the CEOs will explain everything you need to know when you join) Perks: For every Single Job, people will get perks. An example of what I mean is, say for example our clothes stores, you will not only have access to cheaper clothes, but you will have free medical care, and never have to worry about not having enough money to survive again. We will also insure that your family is well looked after, and protected to the best of our ability. Just to make sure you understand that we are a serious business, the first few people who are actually in, will be getting a large bonus on top of their usual pay check (this will apply for all jobs). DEV BLOG #001 Greetings Citizens, It has been just over a year since you helped successfully kick start Identity into existence! We want to thank you all for your continued support by providing you all with regular updates following the development process for Identity. Engaging with our community is one of the best ways we can show our thanks, and a development blog is a perfect opportunity for us to bring you along for the ride. As you’ve seen throughout the past year, there is no game out there that is quite like Identity, and through your support, you have proven to us that Identity is a vision worth turning into a reality! Feedback has shown us that you all really appreciate our attempts to respond to virtually every question we receive on social media. Twitter and Facebook have been a huge boost in exposure for Identity, and so it is time we begin to explore other avenues of exposure to help our community understand a bit more about the game. In the coming months, our fans will see their first glimpse of gameplay for Identity! We are all extremely excited to show off our first gameplay video, which will fully explore the mechanics of apartment and housing customization. With this video, you will see that we have stayed true to our original art direction from the original Kickstarter trailer, while maintaining high standards in realistic lighting and graphics. We can safely say that we have improved many of the areas of our design that needed attention since February last year. Apartment & Housing Customization Apartments and houses within Identity will have a fully customizable interior. You will be able to change the wall paper on every wall in every room, place furniture anywhere there is space on the ground, swap out doors, windows, baseboards, crown moulding, and even wainscoting! We have made no compromise to the level of detail in which you can customize your apartments or homes, in order to truly express your sense of home decor. With this level of control, there is virtually no chance that the interior of two homes will ever look alike. There will be hundreds of furniture items available to purchase in-game in every style and design, from traditional to contemporary. Furniture in Identity can even be crafted, sold, or traded to other players, and those who wish to try their hand at crafting hand-made furniture from a variety of materials can place a crafting table anywhere they wish inside their homes! And if you wish to share your space with a partner, friend, or even a group of friends, homes and apartments will be available for sale throughout the world that support multiple roommates depending the size of the space and how many bedrooms are available. The home-owner may even grant build permissions to any number of roommates, even visitors, to help them decorate their living space. When you are finished, invite your friends over to compliment you on your interior decorating skills! If you’re anything like us, we know you will spend more time cleaning up this virtual home than you do your real one! Radio This week, our team has also placed a lot of our development efforts into building a functioning radio system that will allow you to listen to your favorite real-world radio stations through placed radio objects inside your virtual home, or car! Yes, you can flip through the channels in your car radio, which will also broadcast to the immediate area outside your car. Imagine driving down the street and having everyone you pass know you listen to NSYNC! One other major part of this feature that we are excited to tell you about is player operated talk-shows which you can personally host, or tune-in and listen to, from your car radio or home. The way we currently have this planned out for hosts, is to have actual physical broadcast stations on the map that you can enter as a player and begin hosting your own radio talk-show. Player’s listening from their car or home can browse a list of channels currently being hosted at that very moment, and listen to you live, talking about government conspiracies and UFO’s! We are really hoping that this feature will have a major social impact for Identity. Like you, we see a lot of potential in something like this for budding stars within the community. We would absolutely love to see many of you sprout a career that started in a game we developed, and ended with us listening to your lovely voice on our actual car radio! The Town Square (Social Module) Many of you already know of, and are eagerly anticipating the release of the planned “Town Square” module that is currently still in production. While we can’t give you an exact date on when that will be ready, progress is steady, and we are as excited as you are to meet you all for the first time in a virtual environment. You may already be aware that Identity is largely influenced by a landmass in the south-eastern portion of the United States. The Town Square itself is only a small portion of a larger city built into the final version of Identity called Ash Hill, a reference to Asheville, North Carolina where we had originally planned to move Asylum’s office. We picked this area of the world particularly because it offered a wide range of geographical variance. The transition between Identity’s mix of biomes needed to feel natural, and this area offered most of what we had been looking for. As for the other cities in Identity, their influences may become more clear to you now. Myrtle Beach is obviously Turtle Beach in Identity, and Roseport is less subtle, but a mix between Atlanta and New York City. When we first started, we kept everything, including the structures and world props level to the ground, a mistake we have since corrected. We quickly realized that cities are rarely ever flat, and knew that setting that precedent now would benefit Identity in the future. The next time you see The Town Square module, we are confident that you will notice the difference compared to earlier screenshots, what such a small transformation makes for immersion in a game environment. Moving Forward We want to thank our community for being so patient with us. Over the course of the past year, we’ve seen many work-in-progress screenshots of assets destined for Identity, and while we believe they serve as a sample of the work we have already put into the game, we know that many of you are still anxious to see video. Our current priority is to get things ready to show off, or more specifically, the housing/apartment customization first. We are convinced that many of you will appreciate the time and effort we have put into this feature, so that you will be able to fully express yourself through your character and virtual home. We know we’ve been pretty quiet this past year, and the criticism we’ve heard from our fans on that through social media and the forums have not fallen on deaf ears! We will start to release regular updates through development blogs and continue to find new ways to interact with our community, to show you our gratitude for your support. You yourself can become more involved by contributing to the discussion with your ideas at www.identityrpg.com/community. We’ll see you there, and thank you again! Always remember that we are gamers too and we are as excited as you are to play Identity at launch!

Well, Frank got me thinking, if I weren't a member of the Luprano Family, I would create the Conservative Solidarity Party. The Party would hold traditional conservative values i.e pro-life, nationalism, patriotism, pro-capitalism, pro-death penalty, pro-gun etc. A gray area would be the topic of gay marriage. We would believe in the right to marry who you'd like, (may it be a fucking leg of a chair) with certain limitations in the process as well as the marriage itself. The Party supports a democratic republic system. Not sure if there are too many differences with our party and the Conservative Coalition Party but oh well. This will only be relevant if I were to leave the life of crime, (unlikely) but this was definitely fun to make.

Hello, if you have read any of my posts regularly, you know I am the leader of a family on here and I am very in support of having a little Italy in one or more of the cities of identity. I feel like now is a good time to reach out to the developers while the game is still being developed. These are some reasons why I think there should be a little italy: -Roseport is partly based off New York which has a huge Italian population and little italy. Just like the rest of the east coast u.s. -It would be a great spot to put some Italian restaurants and themed businesses. It would add more culture to the city it's in and make it feel more alive. -it would be a good spot for organized crime families to operate out of and fight for control of. If you look at the hideout section, you can see that the highest proportion of gangs on the forums are Italian mafia based, with bikers being not far off. It would make sense to have a little Italy. Now this little italy wouldn't have to be huge, but maybe just a small block with a handful of Italian themed businesses like pizzerias, cafes, a restaurant and maybe a tailor/clothing/shoe store, and maybe have some Italian flags and /or fire hydrants painted like the Italian flag. It's just something I hope the devs consider if they are stuck with what to put in a certain part of the city and want to put something different. Forza Bari, Forza Italia!

He meant "The map" will appear to small because its too fast of travel with aircraft. Also click here for answer to what they have on the aircraft's question. Keeping it on the ground means that people wont skip out traffic and interaction with players e.g. car crashes, traffic jams, people crossing the streets and maybe telling / honking people if they cut you up or walk in-front of your car. There are a lot of things which will be lost from taking a plane or helicopter across the island + it will take so long just to cross the map with a car or by walking. Aircraft is a fast way to get cross places skipping out all the stuff and many other things.

I second this. A Little Italy would encourage serious roleplay and give Italian OC a chance to thrive without the interference of street gangs or cartels.

This is a call to all gang leaders who intend to operate on the Oceania (Australia, NZ, Fiji, PNG, etc) server. I've established a board of directors, so to speak, for all of Oceania's gang leaders, and I invite you to join and participate. Whether your organisation is a cartel, a street-gang, or a crime family like my own, we actively encourage you to make contact. The point of The Commission, as it will be known, is to settle disputes, share political and legal assets (such as corrupt politicians and police) and make sure that everybody is making money rather than being at each other's throats. The Commission will be mutually beneficial, meaning everybody with a seat (position) will have far more opportunities for financial gain open to them. There are no downsides to joining, so send me a private message and we can discuss. Don't express your interest in a response here - one of our main principles is secrecy. Organisations not on the Commission will not be recognised, and therefore have no claim to territory or help. If you aren't the boss of an Oceania-based gang and would simply like to establish good relations, or have a potential business plan, feel free to make contact anyway.

@AndrewDonaldson I am a very level headed person and in my line of work (social worker) i get a lot of abuse from people. I know some of the basic american laws, but all will be a learning opportunity.

Thank you, @AndrewDonaldson. I would say that having a passion for the police force since i was 4 years old, am now 20, would hopefully make me knowledgeable enough, but in saying that, it is an american based game. I would like to think i am a Mature person and would suit the role of being on the Police force in this game. I will eventually make it through all the thousands of posts and replies in the Precinct Forums, there are a lot! I hope we do meet in game! and hopefully, not with me putting you in the back of my squad car.

Hey, @TravisGB, and welcome to the forums! To answer your question, to become a member of the police department, you must apply while in-game. It's a difficult and mature role, so I hope you are up for it! Next, to change from being an immigrant, you must purchase a tier from the shop. It can be the lowest tier if you wish. Also, if you do have a passion for the police force, I would recommend reading 'The Precinct' for more information on police. Finally, I also live in Australia, so I hope to see you in-game! Hope this helps.

Indeed we're delighted to have you're support. Now seeing as Donald Trump, has won the presidency I belive this, shows what the people want. The people are tired of political correctness, and wish for a change. We are the change, that you will feel, once we are in power.

@Freya You cannot have babies in Identity. However, there are medical professions, although I believe its only paramedics at the moment. This means there will be no 'doctors', just paramedics. The difference being that a doctor would stay in a hospital, whereas a paramedic travels to the affected patient. Though there will likely be hospital buildings, and I am only speculating here, you may only replenish your health there. Hope this helps!

My whole plans for this game revolves around this 'corporation system'. One thing that got me interested most when reading "Identity Insider #1", was the statement; 'They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees.'. Issuing a work order? That must mean there are unique game mechanics just for manufacturers. Interesting. I like what you have listed, but I personally think any careers that real players can pursue were covered with the original four (Delivery, Legal, Transportation and Manufacturing). Furthermore, we, the leaders in corporation creation, can design and create our own in-game logo! Incredible! And a telephone number. I am getting that feeling of hype that I haven't experienced since I first started day dreaming about what is game will become. But keep the ideas coming, what we suggest now might be implemented into the game! I'm so excited that the devs are talking to us again!

Its supposedly all player driven, but I am sure the devs will lend a caring hand once the game is up and running.

@Glueman. Ever heard of publicity? Publicity is intangible, meaning without physical form. That means I don't have to be playing the game to create a name for myself. When someone on the forums talk about weapons manufacturing, they think of me. Meaning, when we finally do get in the game, if you are searching for a weapon you know who to look for... Andrew Donaldson. Also, if you plan out how and what you are doing before you get in the game, you will already be ahead of others who haven't planned for their career choice. P.S. I wouldn't fuck with @Herzog

This is why I love this community so much. We try to make this game more realistic by finding ways to not kill people. Keep posting stuff like this please @Zulnex. <3

I can understand what you are saying, but if it costs that little for a gun, then everyone would have one. And that's something the devs do not want. As my character, Andrew Donaldson, is a weapons manufacturer, I have researched a lot about this topic; the devs don't want guns to be easily accessible to the players, otherwise it will turn into GTA. Depending on your job/career, someone could make make that money ($250) in a day, easily. So yes, weapons should be at a reasonable price. But if they are too low, then everyone will have a pistol up their sleeve and have the ability to start a mass shooting. I do hope the developers get this right.

Regardless of where it is, we can still uphold the right to bear arms. And since when was it in Europe? the devs always said Georgia

Joining the police force on official servers will be largely automated. We anticipate that there will be some training tutorial and a quiz at the end that you will be required to complete in order to play as a cop. Private servers will have much more control over this, and can choose to white-list specific individuals rather than allow the automated system to decide.

Identity Forum Guidelines Last Edit: July 9th, 2018 Participation in the Official Identity forums constitutes agreement to the following guidelines, which apply to posts, profile information, avatars, signatures, private messaging, and any other content on this site and participation in general. The live nature of discussions in this community makes it difficult for staff to catch every violation of these rules. If you believe that someone has violated our User Guidelines, please send a private message to a member of our volunteer moderation team or staff with a link to the content and a brief description of what you believe is wrong. Please do not respond to a violation personally, as you may aggravate the situation and possibly violate our guidelines yourself. Any content that violates our User Guidelines will be removed. Interpretation of our guidelines is at the discretion of the staff. Please do 1. Report violations of the forum rules. Moderators will quickly review reports and make decisions based on the information you provide. 2. Respect others. Showing respect will encourage others to participate in discussion. 3. Like posts, that you feel contribute useful information to a discussion. 4. Read the rules, so that you do not accidentally receive an infraction or ban. 5. Be constructive. Help others by answering questions, and offer feedback to their ideas. 6. Read before posting. Fully Comprehend the topic of discussion and determine what has already been discussed. 7. Use proper grammar and spelling. Read your post before submitting. Spelling mistakes may attract attention away from the discussion. 8. Search for content related to your questions. There’s a good chance that there may already be an answer to what you are looking for! Please don’t 1. Troll. Trolling does not contribute to meaningful discussion. 2. Spam. Spamming clutters the forum and makes it difficult to find original content. 3. Flame, or attack others. Insults do not contribute to discussion, and will be removed. 4. Repost Deleted Content. Content that was deleted was removed for a reason, even if the reason is unclear. 5. Demonstrate or perpetuate toxic behavior. A user is considered toxic if they repeatedly make defamatory, threatening, insulting, or otherwise hateful remarks toward other users or staff. Please keep language civil when expressing your opinions. 6. Advertise websites or services unrelated to Identity. We do not sell advertising space on the Identity forums. 7. Cross Post. Cross-posting makes it difficult for users using the search function to find relevant information, and may be considered spam. 8. Ask for Likes. Likes are given to those for contributing useful information in a discussion. 9. Abuse reports. Reporting content with blank or inaccurate report descriptions will hinder a moderator's capacity to help. Please report content that is in violation of the rules, and not simply because you personally dislike another user. 10. Engage rule violators. You may accidentally violate these rules yourself by responding to others that you feel aren’t following these guidelines. 11. Make low-effort posts. Contribute useful information to the discussion, and avoid going off-topic. 12. Discuss Politics/Religion. These subjects are sensitive and may offend others. (There is a small place for fantasy politics within Identity's ecosystem. The Governor position will be able to tweak small settings within the game world, and must compete against others for power. The political systems within Identity are simplified and do not accurately reflect the processes involved with political discourse in the real world. Players may implicitly take inspiration from existing candidates or parties, but must not show any connections to real world politics through the use of logos/symbols, names (of existing leaders, existing parties, or of those within recent history), or slogans. By affiliating your party with a real world political faction, you are bringing such politics into discussion and grabbing the attention of those who recognize it. Real world politics typically invoke a strong emotional response in some viewers and can lead to vehement conflicts extremely quickly.) 13. Create multiple accounts. Only one account per person is authorized, so forum users can be easily identified. Avoiding a ban may result in further permanent action. 14. Operate a shared account. Sharing an account with another user will make conversation difficult should any of the account operators share a difference in opinion. Conflicting statements will impede our ability to help assist any single user on a shared account. Due to this, we request that each account is operated by a single, separate user. 15. Create forum posts that mention specific users in the title. Creating a new topic with the title specifically mentioning another user isn’t conducive to group discussion, especially if the targeted user isn’t comfortable responding in an open format. (For example, don’t make posts like “@usernamehere, why is x and not y?”) If you’re asking a question directly to another user, please do so using the inbox function on the forums. 16. Post Personal Information, or post links containing personal information. Sharing information about others can be harmful to their real-life. 17. Use forum features in unintended ways. Asking for likes, or making a game that incorporates the like/follow buttons artificially inflates user forum stats, making it difficult for other users to determine which content or user is contributing popular content to the site. 18. Discuss Moderator or Administrator actions Publicly. There are often reasons why a decision is made by a moderator or administrator that may be unclear to outside-parties, and off-topic discussion about an admin or moderator decision may be disruptive to a conversation. We politely ask that you trust and respect decisions made by staff. If you have an issue with a specific staff member, please report the matter to a Community Manager. 19. Impersonate Asylum Entertainment Staff or Moderators. When users seek assistance from moderators or Asylum staff, they shouldn't need to worry about encountering the possibility of dealing with an impostor. Always heed the official titles for staff roles on both the forums and discord to help avoid confusion. 20. Intentionally Spread False Information. Spreading rumors you know are falsified and portraying them as fact will only complicate Identity's development and serves to derail the actual constructive criticism offered by other users. Even accidentally giving out false information can be dangerous, so please ask a staff member or reference official statements (Dev Blogs for example). 21. Post or link to illegal, dangerous, offensive or NSFW content. Do not engage in activities that include (but are not limited to) the sharing of sexually explicit content, piracy, malicious code execution (viruses, malware, spyware etc.), gore. Please keep posts pertaining to the M-rated content in Identity reasonable. 22. Create or operate an account with the intention of solely boosting or supporting another user's reputation, poll votes, or opinions. We ask that all users contribute to the forums in ways that don't simply perpetuate someone else's particular viewpoint or account statistics. ***Moderators and staff have the final say on all matters. If you would like to report moderator abuse, contact a Community Manager directly. Creating public threads or posts that question or reference administrative decisions or potential administrative decisions is not permitted.*** ***Freedom of speech rights do not extend to privately owned websites, such as this one. These guidelines detail the types of behavior and activities that are allowed here.*** ***We reserve the right to deactivate any account and to edit or remove any content without warning. These guidelines are subject to change at any time without notice.*** ***If you have a question or suggestion about our User Guidelines, please do not hesitate to contact a moderator or admin and we will be glad to help in any way that we can.*** 3bdullah alzmeeeleee 6ree8 jbbbh #7mod mf95
