8 pointsHey guys, thanks for your concerns. Identity is absolutely still in active development, but we understand these concerns have a tendency to grow within the community each time we have become quieter than usual. We're a small team with limited resources so we spend a lot of that time focusing on development tasks. Development is our first love, and none of us are really experts at marketing or Public Relations. We definitely owe our fans a lot more attention than we've given, and admittedly, our PR game has been pretty poor. Until we get that sorted, you can actively find Paratus and I on the unofficial, fan Discord server. Message us anytime for any reason! I'm always around and available for a chat about anything you'd like to talk about. Paratus doesn't seem to check his messages quite as often, and the others don't seem to be very chatty on social networks, but we've extended invites to them for when they do decide to eventually join us. It's important to know that most game projects spend a few years in development before they are announced to the world. That gives them the added benefit of working without pressure from their communities. But Identity was announced when development started, so we've always struggled with knowing when to prioritize marketing over development being a small team, especially myself being both the Community Manager and a 3D artist on the project. It's been a challenge for me to switch between modes, and I regret that I haven't been very effective at it. As a quick progress update. Last week, on the art side, we finished up all of the remaining face sculpts, complete with textures and shaders, that you have seen us posting periodically on Twitter, and those, along with about 50 pieces of clothing (we still need so much more) are currently undergoing rigging. And on the programming side, we completed the karaoke feature, which we will test on Monday. I myself am working on 3d modeling a one bedroom apartment, as well as a hotel bedroom. These things will all be featured in the Town Square module as well as the completed game! Thank you again for all of your support, and I hope this provides a sliver of the information you guys have been craving to hear about!

2 pointsI think the major holdup with Town Square right now is that some of the buildings still need interiors. We've been slower at producing those assets than we originally expected. No real reason for it other than our artists being spread thin among other things. The last I heard, what remains of the video of the apartment customization was in Paratus' hands (he's a programmer as well as our project lead). I'm not exactly sure what that is because when I saw it a few weeks ago, it was perfect. From my observation, he's all over the place because all of us need his attention all the time, so he's been a bit preoccupied lately while we've also been begging him to finish up what the community has been waiting for the most.

1 pointFirst of all let me start by saying that this is, in no way, an attempt to start any kind of flame war, or to attack Asylum. I represent a genuine group of concerned investors who, for whatever reason, decided to back this enterprise. Over the last few months people have been posting about Motown/Paratus being scammers, about how we should 'do our research' etc etc. Well we did our research BEFORE we invested and I want to make it clear that these posters have quite clearly NOT done any research of their own. All the controversy surrounding Arma3 mods did NOT involve Altis Life, Motown or Paratus. So those are not our concerns. We invested in Identity simply because we shared their vision, but now we would like an answer. Before I ask the obvious question, I want to make something else clear, we do NOT want an answer from a 'fan' or a moderator, we want to hear from the Devs. The question is this: Is Identity still in development, and if so, what is it's status as of today? If, like us, you are a concerned investor in this project, then please sign this petition for a reply & maybe we can see an end to the constant posting of this same dam question over and over again.

1 pointHello everyone! Some of you might remember that I had a thread on the old forum with an Imgur album containing all pictures posted by the developers on Twitter and Facebook. I just wanted to let you all know, both those who might have seen it but had forgot about it, aswell as new people who found it just now that it still exists and is updated as soon as a new picture is released. You can access it here, feel free to use it (or not use it) however you like. Take care!

1 pointWill there be realistic gun sounds along with realistic gun reloading? will there be a realistic police department and will there be all types of police departments all over identity? are there going to be police trucks, cars, helicopters, motorcycles,SUV's, Swat trucks, or even boats? can you have a choice of what gear you put on such as hat's,vest's,shades or what guns you use?

1 pointYeh tbh i think any job that will be included will be great but as you said it depends on how much detail they input to the jobs. I guess well just have to wait and see.

1 pointBeing an fire-fighter sounds like a great role depending on how much development goes into this certain role. If it's immersive enough, I'd love to do this role maybe instead of an Police Officer role. I mean who doesn't like fire, and sirens? Lol.

1 pointWelcome to the Community, Romeo! Glad to see the vast majority of people joining us. It'll be great to play people with vast ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

1 pointIdentity (or to be more exact the idea of Identity) wants to change what an mmo is, a grand gesture indeed. In reality however most of these changes are going to have to come from the players themselves, sure Asylum can present their 'vision', they can provide the tools, but it's how those tools are used that will, ultimately, make or break Identity. Crime & the criminal are going to play a large part in that. So what makes a successful criminal? Simple....not getting caught. Now most of us think that is a fairly obvious statement, but when you consider it in terms of online 'games', it really isn't. In fact, in most 'life' sims the average criminal, more often than not, will go out of his way to bring about some kind of conflict with law enforcement. If anyone hopes to build a server that caters to ALL walks of life, then this is going to be one of the most difficult problems to solve. Because there is another very simple statement that is also true, having to duck bullets & avoid being mown down on the sidewalk every thirty seconds, drives 'community' players away. Go from one extreme to another, look at the toxic world of GTA Online where you can't even manage to get through three words without someone throwing a bomb, then consider what Identity 'could' be. Criminals live ordinary lives too, they co-exist with the rest of the community, they go shopping with their wives, go to clubs, bars....they even bathe! Think about it, IF (and yes that's a big if) you stick to one server, once you've been arrested the police are going to know you. For example....Herzog is only the President of a Motorcycle club....until he, or one of his club, get arrested for gun running.....then, in the eyes of the police, he's the leader of an organized crime gang. What all of this means, for the potential criminals of Identity, is that if they attempt to live their lives of crime OFF the police radar....then Identity has the potential to be a real game changer. If not, then we're looking at GTA with frills. It's the players who will make Identity great, you. Think outside the box, be the best.

1 pointThe quicker y'all get that video out, the quicker more people will flood the forums.

1 pointSounds great! I know dates are hard to give, so dont worry but in general, do you guys still have ALOT to do for the town square? Also, how is the gameplay video coming along?

1 pointFirst off, I am not paid at all to moderate the forums. I do it voluntarily. Secondly, map designing isn't as easy as you make sound, same goes with models. They are working to make this game very realistic so they don't half ass their models; they put intricate details which you can see in the pictures shown. Not only do they need to make the model itself, but texturing it is very complex. They do this thing call unwrapping which lays out every side, corner and so on to where they then add textures making sure it fits perfectly on the model and there are no design errors on the finish product. So for the Town Square, all the objects shown in the picture take time and since they didn't show anymore than that it is either stuff still a work in progress or they aren't ready to reveal it yet. Everything on Twitter is planned, so if it isn't in the game it was just a decision changed before modules, beta and release. Many things come and go while games are in development. You shouldn't have had hopes that the game would be done March 2015 because they never game that early of a date, they stated different dates this year, but Motown has already said things have been delayed and he shouldn't have given such a ambitious date for the game. That's why we still haven't gotten release dates for anything because they are still very unsure about when it will be finished so they don't want to give a date and have to delay it again.
