2 pointsTo be honest, I'd rather see them put more time into development right now than answering all our questions, especially since Motown is also a 3D artist for the game.

2 pointsA Super Bowl win and million dollar sponsorships. Living in a mansion and being paid to play a sport that you love. Still can't stand for the national anthem. Interesting, I hope his logic becomes "Some of the veterans aren't standing." Yes, because they're unable to because they gave that up so you could stand for them.

1 pointSo after reading the FAQ a bit more in dept I saw this sentence in one of the questions: "Players cannot access another players home without an invitation." This makes me a bit concerned since that means no robbing of players houses will be possible. Robbing houses is one of the most fun and thrilling things to do in Gmod DarkRP, and if the developers think that robbing peoples houses will have a negative impact on the housing aspect, here are my suggestions: * Give players the ability to buy alarms for their houses (Locks come with the house). * Nerby cops and the player owning the house gets alerted immediately when a house alarm has gone off. * Robbers have to buy a crowbar/lockpick to be able to get inside of the house if the door is locked. * Crowbars/lockpicks will be very limited in stores. * Robbers are only able to slowly carry one object/furniture at a time making the robbing process take loads of time. * Players can buy cameras which can be accessed via your phone (this will probably take loads of time to implement and I don't think it's really that necessary). * To keep certain things safe in the house, players can buy safes. * Robbers are only able to rob a house if it's empty of players (Just to keep the houses safe places to chill and hang out with firends) With only a few of these suggestions implemented, robbing houses would become very hard, which is a good thing since you wouldn't want players houses to constantly get robbed. Also one thing to keep in mind is that the houses in DarkRP are often empty which means that you can easily find the valuable stuff fast, while in Identity, the houses will be filled with loads of furniture making the search harder for robbers. I really hope that the developers will consider these suggestions since I think it would add to the immersion of a game like Identity. EDIT: After some discussion I feel like I need to clearify a few things. Since the developers have said that the only way to enter a house is through an invitation, because the performance will be an issue, I will try to explain my ideas how this could be fixed. So since houses will feature an instanced loadingscreen, the robber could be transfered into the house with a loadingscreen, exactly the same as when a player gets invited. The only difference is that the robber didn't get an invitation. And for example if a player could only invite 10 people to a house, then only 5 robbers and 5 cops should be able to enter the house and there wouldn't be any noticeable differences in the performance. The only problem with this is that if the loading times are long, there could be situations where the cops and robbers could be in a loadingscreen at the same time, which would result in them passing by eachother without the cops or the robbers noticing eachother. The solution to this problem could be to have a display on the door indicating if a player is about the get in/out of the house, or have a blurred verson of the avatar remain standing outside the door while loading. Another thing with the houses is that they are places where you are able to just chill out with friends and such, without any action or robbers. How to fix this problem is to only make robbers able to rob the house if there are no players inside (which includes the owner and the players invited).

1 pointDEV BLOG #001 Greetings Citizens, It has been just over a year since you helped successfully kick start Identity into existence! We want to thank you all for your continued support by providing you all with regular updates following the development process for Identity. Engaging with our community is one of the best ways we can show our thanks, and a development blog is a perfect opportunity for us to bring you along for the ride. As you’ve seen throughout the past year, there is no game out there that is quite like Identity, and through your support, you have proven to us that Identity is a vision worth turning into a reality! Feedback has shown us that you all really appreciate our attempts to respond to virtually every question we receive on social media. Twitter and Facebook have been a huge boost in exposure for Identity, and so it is time we begin to explore other avenues of exposure to help our community understand a bit more about the game. In the coming months, our fans will see their first glimpse of gameplay for Identity! We are all extremely excited to show off our first gameplay video, which will fully explore the mechanics of apartment and housing customization. With this video, you will see that we have stayed true to our original art direction from the original Kickstarter trailer, while maintaining high standards in realistic lighting and graphics. We can safely say that we have improved many of the areas of our design that needed attention since February last year. Apartment & Housing Customization Apartments and houses within Identity will have a fully customizable interior. You will be able to change the wall paper on every wall in every room, place furniture anywhere there is space on the ground, swap out doors, windows, baseboards, crown moulding, and even wainscoting! We have made no compromise to the level of detail in which you can customize your apartments or homes, in order to truly express your sense of home decor. With this level of control, there is virtually no chance that the interior of two homes will ever look alike. There will be hundreds of furniture items available to purchase in-game in every style and design, from traditional to contemporary. Furniture in Identity can even be crafted, sold, or traded to other players, and those who wish to try their hand at crafting hand-made furniture from a variety of materials can place a crafting table anywhere they wish inside their homes! And if you wish to share your space with a partner, friend, or even a group of friends, homes and apartments will be available for sale throughout the world that support multiple roommates depending the size of the space and how many bedrooms are available. The home-owner may even grant build permissions to any number of roommates, even visitors, to help them decorate their living space. When you are finished, invite your friends over to compliment you on your interior decorating skills! If you’re anything like us, we know you will spend more time cleaning up this virtual home than you do your real one! Radio This week, our team has also placed a lot of our development efforts into building a functioning radio system that will allow you to listen to your favorite real-world radio stations through placed radio objects inside your virtual home, or car! Yes, you can flip through the channels in your car radio, which will also broadcast to the immediate area outside your car. Imagine driving down the street and having everyone you pass know you listen to NSYNC! One other major part of this feature that we are excited to tell you about is player operated talk-shows which you can personally host, or tune-in and listen to, from your car radio or home. The way we currently have this planned out for hosts, is to have actual physical broadcast stations on the map that you can enter as a player and begin hosting your own radio talk-show. Player’s listening from their car or home can browse a list of channels currently being hosted at that very moment, and listen to you live, talking about government conspiracies and UFO’s! We are really hoping that this feature will have a major social impact for Identity. Like you, we see a lot of potential in something like this for budding stars within the community. We would absolutely love to see many of you sprout a career that started in a game we developed, and ended with us listening to your lovely voice on our actual car radio! The Town Square (Social Module) Many of you already know of, and are eagerly anticipating the release of the planned “Town Square” module that is currently still in production. While we can’t give you an exact date on when that will be ready, progress is steady, and we are as excited as you are to meet you all for the first time in a virtual environment. You may already be aware that Identity is largely influenced by a landmass in the south-eastern portion of the United States. The Town Square itself is only a small portion of a larger city built into the final version of Identity called Ash Hill, a reference to Asheville, North Carolina where we had originally planned to move Asylum’s office. We picked this area of the world particularly because it offered a wide range of geographical variance. The transition between Identity’s mix of biomes needed to feel natural, and this area offered most of what we had been looking for. As for the other cities in Identity, their influences may become more clear to you now. Myrtle Beach is obviously Turtle Beach in Identity, and Roseport is less subtle, but a mix between Atlanta and New York City. When we first started, we kept everything, including the structures and world props level to the ground, a mistake we have since corrected. We quickly realized that cities are rarely ever flat, and knew that setting that precedent now would benefit Identity in the future. The next time you see The Town Square module, we are confident that you will notice the difference compared to earlier screenshots, what such a small transformation makes for immersion in a game environment. Moving Forward We want to thank our community for being so patient with us. Over the course of the past year, we’ve seen many work-in-progress screenshots of assets destined for Identity, and while we believe they serve as a sample of the work we have already put into the game, we know that many of you are still anxious to see video. Our current priority is to get things ready to show off, or more specifically, the housing/apartment customization first. We are convinced that many of you will appreciate the time and effort we have put into this feature, so that you will be able to fully express yourself through your character and virtual home. We know we’ve been pretty quiet this past year, and the criticism we’ve heard from our fans on that through social media and the forums have not fallen on deaf ears! We will start to release regular updates through development blogs and continue to find new ways to interact with our community, to show you our gratitude for your support. You yourself can become more involved by contributing to the discussion with your ideas at www.identityrpg.com/community. We’ll see you there, and thank you again! Always remember that we are gamers too and we are as excited as you are to play Identity at launch!

1 pointhello community! today i'll tell you how to search properly for topics. 1. step the marked field in the right corner is the searching field. i've marked it red. 2. step when clicking the search field a "All Content" button will appear. if you click it you'll see 4 options: -All Content (shows you everything) -Topics (this option allows you to search for topics containing the typed in words. we'll call them tags) -Members (allows you to search for members). -Advanced Search (shows you more options) now let's continue with this tutorial 3. step if you click on advanced options you'll get access to more restrictions for your search like showing posts that have been updated in the last 24 hours. but now let's start searching! 4. step if you search for something you should use the basic form of the tags. let's take an example: we're searching for topics about crafting. we'll use the search tag "craft" without "" because craft is the basic form of crafting. it works the same way with multiple tags like "craft weapon" without "" because the search shows you everything containing both tags. you'll see white marked words. they contain the tags you've searched for. under the searching field you'll see a sentence saying "+ More search options". clicking it will lead you to the already shown advanced options. and that's it!

1 pointHello i have a suggestion! Many MMO Games Don't have the option to make a character chubby or fat Which I Think would benefit nicely here. yeah Maybe not many people would make their Character fat but what if someone doesnt want to make their character skinny and beautiful. Because lets face it, not everyone in real life are skinny and beautiful/ handsome.

1 pointThe more and more I read about this moron, the more it pisses me off. The fact that there is a loud voice of support for this clueless degenerate, especially coming from the black community is extremely upsetting. SMFH. God Bless America

1 pointDoes anybody know how the radio station will work. I've searched for about an hour to try and find the right topic but I can't. How will radio stations work? Will we have to use a third party app to get it to work? And if we wanna switch between talking and radio can we do that? Im only asking because it seems very confusing in a sense. Because I have no idea how it'll work.

1 pointWhen I showed this to my friends about 2 months ago they said that this game looked too ambitious. But I'm putting so much faith into this game.. It can't be as bad as No Mans Sky right?
-
1 pointAs @JamesLuck01 said, there will be affects which could be a reason to try. Also, what are the biggest reasons to start doing drugs in real life? I'd say boredom and group pressure, which probably also will occur when playing the game
-
1 pointHow does that work? A political party based off of polar opposites? Okay I guess?
-
1 pointI apologize for the necro, but I felt it was better than creating a new topic about the same thing. Any current Rust players around? Would be nice to have a community server for us all to play on together, even if it does involve raiding and looting.

1 pointHe's making more money than 99% of white people and apparently that still counts as "oppression". Guess that's what happens when you give an uneducated, ignorant, spastic a couple years in the limelight.
-
1 pointNot to mention he lives in this country and was raised in this country and still can't respect veterans who risked their lives for people like him. He says he's being oppressed, but he plays football professionally. He makes more money than most veterans will ever make. He may be a good quarterback.. But he's definitely not a good person.

1 pointforgot to activate my mic. before the video started i've killed the "keks" thiefes while they tryed to raid the police department. then i've caught someone who had no weapon license and took his weapons. he got but*mad and tryed to raid the police department (before that he helped the "keks" thiefes). you can see in the video i didn't see him in the first moment. then he tryed to shoot me and i shot him. the "keks" thiefes entered the pd and i've asked them to leave the pd because of what happened. they said no and later that but*mad pd raider exploded hisself without announcing it. at the end a religious guy told me to visit the doctor to help him because he can't spell his own name. i've wanted to upload the second and third part but i think i've lost them both. welp, some content of them was me and the other cop visiting that doctor. he got raided by the "keks" thiefes and i've shot them after they shot at the other cop's car. then the doctor told us to leave him alone. we did. the "keks" thiefes later got some backup by some mikus and started a bank heist. while all cops went through the front entrance i've stealthed in from behind and caught almost all of them. 2 tryed to ran away. one got killed by a shoe throwing hobo and the other one died from fall damage. and yeah, then i got demoted because they started to hate me^^

1 pointGood morning/afternoon everyone! I thought I would just remind some users about what this section of the forums is meant for since it was brought to my attention about numerous posts here that don't belong, whether people aren't paying attention when creating a topic or just accidentally put it in the wrong section. Before posting a suggestion please look at the FAQ and the FAQ Extended as it may have already been answered! This "Ideas and Suggestions" section is strictly for "suggestions" please don't post a question about something in the game as that should go to the sub forum "Q&A" under "Immigration." If you are to accidentally post a topic in the wrong section simply @ me or another moderator online letting us know what happened and we will gladly move the post to the right location. The same goes for a double post, just @ us and we will get it fixed ASAP.
