I'll try keep this short. Make substance abuse fun. Think of how doing drugs affects you in real life and add that to the game. Maybe make ghost pop up on your screen to exaggerate it seeing as though it's a game and the affect affects won't be possible to reproduce. I used to be an avid drug user, and speaking from experience. Being a drug user is a lifestyle. The game should be drastically different when on drugs so that people who do drugs will want to continue. This will make more profit for the in-game drug dealers. The problem with role-playing being a drug dealer in arma3 life servers is the fact that no one actually does drugs religiously. When there are active drug addicts and recreational users, people will be more willing to role-play. " I suk yo dik foe a hit mayne!!!" I don't advise adding bonuses to drug use seeing as though people would just use it out of role-play. An example would be a stamina bonus or a fast health regeneration. This will make people Not feel the need to use it in role-play. From an economic point of view. There should be more incentive to sell to players rather than npcs. NPCs should buy drugs a t a huge discount so that thugs will be pumped out to the streets. In real life, you would make more money selling a pound of weed in eights, quarters or ounces. Same going for most other drugs. This will create a distribution chain for gangs. In reality, gangs are a means to distribute large quantities of illegal substances in a large area. Sell drugs to gang leaders in bulk and his subordinates will sell in smaller quantities. Manufacturing will be very annoying if it all happens in one place. You should be able to purchase a meth RV or just chip in with your gang to purchase a house where you cook. Weed farms can be in open fields but also in green houses on private properties. You should be able to plant weed everywhere to be able to plan better and maybe frame someone.

This is an example of when we decide to go for game-play over realism. Prison is a big part of Identity; we've created a whole sort of mini-game surrounding prison life and we expect that while most people will want to get back into the world as soon as possible, some people may wish to make a life for themselves in prison. You can't just enter the prison, you are sent there after being arrested for a significant crime. You will also not go to prison for small things like speeding and such, as there are small jails. We're referring only to the release from prison here.

Jail time should be longer than 45mins, in all seriousness, i believe it should last upto 24hrs (depending on crime) There should also be a reputation aspect like they have in "Life is Feudal" if you kill someone or steal ... then you get noticed more .. to a point where cops can track you (e.g when you're in public and close to an officer, not in a building)... The reason i say Jail time should be 24hrs, for one there should be a game aspect in this, trying to break out... meeting other "criminals" ... This also prevents spawn revenge and allows the "criminal" to "learn from their mistakes" .. or become smarter at avoiding being captured again. I look forward to see how this game works against others out there that i run (a lot of people are sick of games where they grind and loose everything to raiders)

Currently, the maximum jail sentence is 45 minutes. That could change! It's a simple value that we can set and modify on the fly, and will do so based on future testing! First off, there are two areas you may be placed in when arrested. Jail, for minor crimes lasting no more than 5-10 minutes where you will simply have to sit around in your cell, harassing the neighboring inmates until released, and Prison, for major crimes! The prison feature is like playing an entirely new game in itself! There is shanking, gangs, territory control, prison breaks, or even just social areas for those who don't want get their hands dirty! Prisoners can request a trial, and if accepted, will be sent to a court house where a jury of players will determine your fate. If acquitted, you will be released on the spot, where you can continue your life on the outside, but if found guilty, you will have to spend the remainder of your time in prison, and can choose to leave at your own will once your sentence expires.
