So I was curious, what about getting from one side of the map to the other, quickly? are trains going to be a part of the game since all flight is obsolete, because following the speed limit all the way across the game seems a little slow where as a train could touch all major cities as well as rural areas and give sight seeing a good, quick launch. it will also help with transportation of materials as well as populations for events in said area( big sale in Queens, NY) when you're in Connecticut. just a curiosity since I didn't see anything about fast travel in the search bar....

I am going to re-phrase your first sentence a little. All of Identity is player based and a very small amount of AI to cover boring things explained above.

Since when did you know so much about the game? Oh don't know mate. It could come out it might not. Don't go throwing negativity around because you feel that it won't. We don't need you here if that's all you are going to do. Pretty sure there's a new cod coming out soon you can enjoy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) 1. How are Kickstarter backers different from website backers? There is only one difference between backer rewards for the Kickstarter and website. Kickstarter backers will receive a unique in-game hat with the Kickstarter logo. Website backers receive a hat with the Identity logo. No new content in the future will ever display either of these logos. 2. Many people are confused on what the game is about. Would you mind telling us what your vision for the game is? Is the game more about Cops vs Robbers, or a balance between all the available paths? Identity is a cops and robbers game at heart, but it is a life simulator in so many other ways. We’re catering to role-play in a way that is possibly the first of its kind. Players have the freedom to pursue careers that will impact the player economy in their own unique way. Become a taxi driver, deliver goods to player-owned businesses, fight fires, save lives, argue a case in criminal court, or just hold out your hand and beg for money. Find, or steal your ‘identity’! 3. What can you tell us about the world? World size? Player limit? We anticipate that the playable world size will be 200 square kilometers, or 77 square miles in comparison. This means that the whole map is 14 km wide, and would take about an hour and a half to walk across. We hope to support up to 300 players (or more!) per server. 4. Can you expand on the professions? We know there will be cops, but what types of jobs will be available for civilians? Will they be able to create their own businesses? Create their own items? etc. Also, Medics and Firefighters? Players can choose from a wide range of professions, including the ability to become a Firefighter, EMT, Taxi Driver, Farmer, Bounty Hunter, Fisherman, Logger, Miner, Delivery Driver and even a business entrepreneur. The options available to you as a player get more specific than this even, but we aren’t yet ready to expand on the full list. The direction of development is prone to change, and we don’t want to promise anything that might change down the pipeline. Business ownership allows players to own factories and small business, giving them control over what items are manufactured and sold. Items created by a factory must be delivered to their destination city where store owners in that area can decide what quantity and type (formal wear, casual, punk outfits, weapons, etc.) they wish to list in their business. Some default items are always available in all stores for when market demand is not met. 5. How will death be handled? When a player dies, some items such as the money the player is carrying at that time, will be dropped on the ground and will become accessible to anyone in the area that wishes to take it. Clothing items will never be dropped. We have decided that a player’s character appearance in a social game like Identity is important. You will always look the way you decide your character to look. If the player is not resusitated by an EMT or teammate, the player is then prompted to respawn at the location of their last sync (house, apartment, city) Private servers have some control over what types of items players will drop on death, if any at all. 6. Can you expand on how the housing system will work? Size and availability of apartments and houses? Players can choose to own or rent housing in Identity, while apartments can also be shared with a friend or roommate depending on the size of the property. For instance, two friends, or a married couple can choose to purchase a 2 bedroom apartment where they both can live comfortably with each other. Apartments and houses are fully customizable, allowing players to place furniture and objects anywhere in the room. Home-owners can invite other players into their apartment or house at any time. Players cannot access another players home without an invitation. 7. Will there be any specific safe areas where people can go AFK or sit and socialize without being killed or robbed? There are safe zones within certain types of buildings in Identity. Metal detectors serve to preserve immersion, and will temporarily remove any weapons upon entry, allowing all players in the area to safely relax, socialize and meet new friends. These safe zones are known to us as “Sub-Hubs” or social gathering points that reflect on the lifestyle theme of their environment (Biker Bar, Business club, Bum alley, etc.). While many of these areas can only be accessed by law-abiding citizens, some Sub-Hubs are neutral and can be entered by any player on the map. Few areas are designated gathering points for active criminals looking for the right crime of opportunity, or new friends to help them plan their next heist. 8. How will player identification work in game? Will names appear above players heads? If so, at what distances will they be seen? As our design stands right now, the official servers do display names over heads within certain ranges. Some things like masks and balaclavas can affect this. Moreover, private servers have an option where they can hide names from all players unless greeted. By this I mean you won’t see the name over another player until they perform an emote action, after which you’ll always see their name.

DEV BLOG #001 Greetings Citizens, It has been just over a year since you helped successfully kick start Identity into existence! We want to thank you all for your continued support by providing you all with regular updates following the development process for Identity. Engaging with our community is one of the best ways we can show our thanks, and a development blog is a perfect opportunity for us to bring you along for the ride. As you’ve seen throughout the past year, there is no game out there that is quite like Identity, and through your support, you have proven to us that Identity is a vision worth turning into a reality! Feedback has shown us that you all really appreciate our attempts to respond to virtually every question we receive on social media. Twitter and Facebook have been a huge boost in exposure for Identity, and so it is time we begin to explore other avenues of exposure to help our community understand a bit more about the game. In the coming months, our fans will see their first glimpse of gameplay for Identity! We are all extremely excited to show off our first gameplay video, which will fully explore the mechanics of apartment and housing customization. With this video, you will see that we have stayed true to our original art direction from the original Kickstarter trailer, while maintaining high standards in realistic lighting and graphics. We can safely say that we have improved many of the areas of our design that needed attention since February last year. Apartment & Housing Customization Apartments and houses within Identity will have a fully customizable interior. You will be able to change the wall paper on every wall in every room, place furniture anywhere there is space on the ground, swap out doors, windows, baseboards, crown moulding, and even wainscoting! We have made no compromise to the level of detail in which you can customize your apartments or homes, in order to truly express your sense of home decor. With this level of control, there is virtually no chance that the interior of two homes will ever look alike. There will be hundreds of furniture items available to purchase in-game in every style and design, from traditional to contemporary. Furniture in Identity can even be crafted, sold, or traded to other players, and those who wish to try their hand at crafting hand-made furniture from a variety of materials can place a crafting table anywhere they wish inside their homes! And if you wish to share your space with a partner, friend, or even a group of friends, homes and apartments will be available for sale throughout the world that support multiple roommates depending the size of the space and how many bedrooms are available. The home-owner may even grant build permissions to any number of roommates, even visitors, to help them decorate their living space. When you are finished, invite your friends over to compliment you on your interior decorating skills! If you’re anything like us, we know you will spend more time cleaning up this virtual home than you do your real one! Radio This week, our team has also placed a lot of our development efforts into building a functioning radio system that will allow you to listen to your favorite real-world radio stations through placed radio objects inside your virtual home, or car! Yes, you can flip through the channels in your car radio, which will also broadcast to the immediate area outside your car. Imagine driving down the street and having everyone you pass know you listen to NSYNC! One other major part of this feature that we are excited to tell you about is player operated talk-shows which you can personally host, or tune-in and listen to, from your car radio or home. The way we currently have this planned out for hosts, is to have actual physical broadcast stations on the map that you can enter as a player and begin hosting your own radio talk-show. Player’s listening from their car or home can browse a list of channels currently being hosted at that very moment, and listen to you live, talking about government conspiracies and UFO’s! We are really hoping that this feature will have a major social impact for Identity. Like you, we see a lot of potential in something like this for budding stars within the community. We would absolutely love to see many of you sprout a career that started in a game we developed, and ended with us listening to your lovely voice on our actual car radio! The Town Square (Social Module) Many of you already know of, and are eagerly anticipating the release of the planned “Town Square” module that is currently still in production. While we can’t give you an exact date on when that will be ready, progress is steady, and we are as excited as you are to meet you all for the first time in a virtual environment. You may already be aware that Identity is largely influenced by a landmass in the south-eastern portion of the United States. The Town Square itself is only a small portion of a larger city built into the final version of Identity called Ash Hill, a reference to Asheville, North Carolina where we had originally planned to move Asylum’s office. We picked this area of the world particularly because it offered a wide range of geographical variance. The transition between Identity’s mix of biomes needed to feel natural, and this area offered most of what we had been looking for. As for the other cities in Identity, their influences may become more clear to you now. Myrtle Beach is obviously Turtle Beach in Identity, and Roseport is less subtle, but a mix between Atlanta and New York City. When we first started, we kept everything, including the structures and world props level to the ground, a mistake we have since corrected. We quickly realized that cities are rarely ever flat, and knew that setting that precedent now would benefit Identity in the future. The next time you see The Town Square module, we are confident that you will notice the difference compared to earlier screenshots, what such a small transformation makes for immersion in a game environment. Moving Forward We want to thank our community for being so patient with us. Over the course of the past year, we’ve seen many work-in-progress screenshots of assets destined for Identity, and while we believe they serve as a sample of the work we have already put into the game, we know that many of you are still anxious to see video. Our current priority is to get things ready to show off, or more specifically, the housing/apartment customization first. We are convinced that many of you will appreciate the time and effort we have put into this feature, so that you will be able to fully express yourself through your character and virtual home. We know we’ve been pretty quiet this past year, and the criticism we’ve heard from our fans on that through social media and the forums have not fallen on deaf ears! We will start to release regular updates through development blogs and continue to find new ways to interact with our community, to show you our gratitude for your support. You yourself can become more involved by contributing to the discussion with your ideas at www.identityrpg.com/community. We’ll see you there, and thank you again! Always remember that we are gamers too and we are as excited as you are to play Identity at launch!

Couldn't resist that title. I have two questions regarding gender in identity. 1. Will we be able to change our avatar's gender in the character customization any time in game? 2. Are clothes restricted by gender? (I.E. would a woman be allowed to put on a suit and tie, or a man put on a dress?) These are some options that I would love to see in Identity!

I would like to bring forth The Brotherhood Council. The TBC is a high council of all of the high ranking members of current and future MC's of the island. The council allows the President's of clubs to come together at a table and discuss concerns and ideas they have for their or others' clubs. The council will have Church just like we would do within our MC but of course with select members of each club. As for ranks, i was thinking of having some very basic ranks such as: Presidents - Officer Vice Presidents - Sub-Officer Any other patch (Secretary/Treasurer) - Minor The council will not allow prospect, patch members or any other minor patches into the council, Treasurer being the lowest rank allowed in. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Council MC's Bad Company Rangers MC Members Of The Council: Michael Thatcher - International President - Officer Doc Rogers - President - Officer ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Men Of Mayhem MC Members Of The Council: Louis Hudson - President - Officer ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Highwaymen MC Members Of The Council: Carter Crowe - President - Officer Mickey Tohmpson - Vice President - Sub-Officer _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Please let me know what you think of the idea and any further suggestions you might have if the council was to be formed. Simple: Clothes get dirt from activities such as murder, eating/drinking, dying, hunting etc. You can wash, dry and iron your clothes. (iron or drying maybe a bit too realistic and would take quite a lot of effort, but hey realism.) Clothes aren't wet dirty or creased. Ta-da major part of daily life... well I say major more like boring small task that we are forced to do... buuuttt... Realism right?

Hello everyone. While some of you may know me from the business forums as the founder of Arachne clothing I'm here to start a party for the people who are more liberal minded. While the Conservative Coalition party is advertising towards those who are more conservative minded I'm here to see who would be interested in a liberal party. I don't have a name or a platform except for a few ideas. 1. More gun control: While the second amendment to the constitution (This is an American province i believe) does give us the right to bear arms people who own gu s have the power to hurt others and that power can be abused. So we need gun control to keep us safe from people whose aim is to do us harm. While some may see gun control as a way to "take your rights away" I see it as a way to keep us safe. Remember it takes restricting freedom to get more freedom for you. That's the basic idea of any government. 2. More federal government control: While local government is important as is our rights we need more governmental control. The federal government can standardize things and make it easier for everyone to understand and get proper restrictions on things to keep us safe. While I don't believe the government should have all the power the people should still have a difinitive voice. While we can get the details changed and more details created though a discussion. The liberal minded people should come together to form a party. My apologies if this isn't formated properly as I will be on mobile until Monday night (July 11th).

I wouldnt like a fast travel system however i dont think that if they had a train system it wouldnt be so bad, just imagine that morning rush for all the people that dont own cars as they try to get the train to work in the morning.

Most of Identity will be filled by online players. There won't be any AI just walking around like GTA. Some shops and stuff like that will have AI to man them, though. For example, cashiers will almost definitely be AI, cause I don't know many people who wanna spend their time standing and checking people out all day for 8 bucks an hour. I don't even like doing it in real life e.e

I'm just thinking that a lot of people will want to get products from one place to another quickly, and it could add another level of police involvement. and perhaps events happen in specific cities and you don't want to safely drive at 60mph when you can wait 10 minutes less on a train going 80mph. I don't think it will ruin immersion as it turns into a waiting game, but perhaps you are correct. I just know that I want to have kilos of cocaine shipped across map as I don't want my deals any where near my factory

Conductor opportunities, I dig it bro... I believe they said they were not adding flight as of now but definitely a future update i would like to see. Fast travel would ruin immersion.. realistic feeling i guess you could say. The game is built off the immersive feeling so adding a fast travel would defeat the purpose but a topic to be touched upon I would say.

Hi Camden! In regards to the age, it more than likely won't matter, you'll probably just have to pass through the other tests that police departments have, such as an interview, physical, and personality test, and then if you get through those you'll just have to go through the police academy. Then in regards to the Arma 3 question, this is it's own game that's all about simulating real life in a way. Think of it as playing the Sims but with a strong mixture of actual life, and that the character you make is who you play as. If you need more info there is plenty of videos on Youtube that will talk about it, and the devs on Twitter are very good about talking with people about the game. If that fails, there are plenty of users here, myself included, who'd be willing to help fill you in! I hope this helped, and if no one has said it yet, welcome to Identity! Cheers!

I personally feel it should depend. Like all crimes, from a ticket or fine to 10minutes(which increases and can include fines to pay off) for a under 1000$ petty theft to 10,000 dollar fine and 6 hour jail time for something such as homicide or police assault, something the court's would decide upon and dictate.. Which means we need a very caring judge who thinks of both worlds. Which would incorporate the need for characters to have something similar to a social security number, that police and courts can view. That can range from how many accounts have been made via the player, to how long in game they have played and further into the comments and actions made during a arrest as well as what the crime was (obviously)

So far what we know about music is that there will be instruments in game that can be played note by note. There is karaoke bar in game so singing through you mic is a thing and the devs have also stated that there will be stages where you can perform and on these stages, amps will make instruments and voice through louder. DJing has been touched on but i am not too sure about it but i believe it will be in there, also hosting your own radio station will be a possibility.

I think we need to cut this discussion from this post. We are only ruining this persons character profile further. This is a character profile of a girl that is played by either a guy or a girl, we dont know, i have one and im sure many others do and im a dude the last time i checked. Lets leave it at that and get one with our lives...that is if you have one as i sure dont
