Good Idea but the IC part could be found before and distributed by a newspaper and it can also be advertised like you say and same with jobs. Also There will be billboards already for advertisement i am sure

Hi all, I had the idea that boards can be placed around in certain locations in the game which could be called "Community Boards". The idea of Community Boards would be so that players can interact with these boards and see the latest news and announcements which are made (especially useful for private RP servers). Moderators/Admins can submit articles to be placed on community boards and the boards can be split into IC and OOC sections. OOC sections would contain updates to the server for example and IC sections could be latest news that has happened in-game such as: "Male killed in car crash outside City Hall" (for example). Community Boards could also have extended sections for example: In the IC section, their could be Job Advert section and a general advert section so that people who are employing can advertise their job or people who are offering their job service to the community can advertise there. They might or might not need to pay for this (up to admins). Let me know what you think of the idea!

They said the reason we won't be able to repaint or customize the outside of houses is mainly because of network performance, if each house was customized on the outside it might cause lag (roughly 300 houses) also there is a search bar, if you have other questions there's probably a thread about it

Hi there, Cháoss here (that's pronounced like "Chow-ss" and is my irl name). I'm a game and virtual reality developer by trade and have been designing virtual environments since the early days of Quake 1 modding (1998), I'm a massive virtual reality enthusiast as well as developer and hope to see many virtual experiences similar to this one make it big and is the reason I am here as well as loving sandbox style games like this one. I live in Angel in London and also love rock, metal, industrial music and going to parties, raves and clubs. I hope to help the developers here by offering them feedback and ideas, what works and what doesn't and what could be improved as well as offering them honest criticism. I also hope to offer my expertese in helping to develop 3d models and assets for the community and the developers if wanted/needed.

Hello everyone. So, in my town, we have Community Service Officers (CSO) who drive in green cruisers and are only given pepper spray, and they are kind of like police, but they go to cold burglary calls (cold burglaries are burglaries of a home that happened while the homeowner was away, if you didn't know that), managing traffic accidents, and reporting activity that requires police or other first responders, and otherwise just going around town making sure people are doing well. For example, if a bank is being robbed, they will call it in and then just wait outside the bank, making sure civilians stay clear of the area and making sure the suspects don't go anywhere while police officers are en route. CSO's are required to have a High School diploma, be 18 or older, and have a clean record. This position is only part time in my town, I don't even know if other departments have this sort of thing, but this is basically more of a way to get a boost when you put in your application with a police department when you're ready to be an officer. So, I was wondering, would this perhaps be something we could introduce into the game? I know that having this sort of part time position wouldn't be as nice as being an actual officer, especially since you don't even get a Taser, and I doubt anyone would end up doing this since their age won't matter, or at least I don't think it will, when it comes to a game rather than an actual police department. So, should this be something that if it was implemented, we opened to civilians who are looking for a temp job? There are some people who may like Law Enforcement who wish to stay on the civilian side of life, or if the civilian recruitment wouldn't work, would putting officers who are going through the police academy into CSO jobs when they're not training work, or perhaps this could be a disciplinary action for officers who do something wrong. Let me know what you think about this, cheers! Here's a picture of a CSO car in my town, I blacked out the officer to the right because I wasn't sure if I should have kept them in or not.

would be a cool thing when you start in the police carrier (obviously a newbee wouldn't get a gun that fast)

I get your point about this, but I doubt they will make us suffer because in this game you can rent a server(privately hosted) and so there will always be servers to play on, if the official servers went down for some maintenance or just if a error occurs when joining.

We absolutely have plans to implement VR into Identity. John, our project lead is very excited for that. We're still working out the best solution for movement, but we imagine most people will use it when driving. VR probably won't be in the first module, unless John sneaks it in before launch. It would be awesome to have it ready for the movie theater though.

That's old news, and is why it was initially delayed a few months ago. We've already resolved that issue with the Town Square. Now we are updating shaders and materials and trying to prop out the scene to feel a bit more complete. It worried us that feedback had mentioned a difference in quality between interior and exterior shots, and so we made the decision to put more effort into our environments. This will be the first impression for many of our fans, and so it needs to look great. We simply ask that our fans here have patience. We're a small team of around 9 people at any given time (people come and go frequently) and what's important to us is that we get it right. Speed is not our priority!

Love the website. Did you want me to add it to the community websites thread? A lot easier for people the find community made websites in one place.
