2 pointsI guess a lot of console gamers don't know about the differences really, they just see an awesome game and want to play it. I myself was a console gamer until last year and I didn't know anything about the limitations to be honest, all I saw was the graphics and for good graphics consoles are a lot cheaper and you don't need to know anything about computers to get one etc. Also consoles are a thing most young kids go for as they are easy to play to start with, my first console was the original NES playing titles such as Mario, Isolated Warrior and Double Dragon and it was awesome! Lol. Most kids from my generation were brought up with consoles as they were the new thing to have back then, so it's no surprise kids want to join in with their parents and the console continues on. Some games do have very small slots on console, but there are exceptions, M.A.G. being one of them, that had 256 players at one time, so the potential is there, server wise.
-
2 pointsIt's possible they might be able to find a way to implement it after the full game releases so they can actually see how much it would affect the game if it did at all, not exactly sure if it will work though, we'll just need to wait and see.

2 pointsHonestly, if I can wear a giant chicken suit, I would be willing to be a street racer by night, and a sign waver by day

1 pointI see pretty much all the time on twitter, those players wanting Identity for console, But i don't see why they ask it. First off, consoles don't have a good player amount per server. Identity needs a lot of players on a server to be successful and that is never going to happen on a console with there server sizes. Identity is about interaction and also the map size is huge and so far I don't see how it will work if other games failed with interaction. PC is not a master race, it might be able to run more games but it don't make pc gamers any better. GTA has 24 max players on console, the map is not filled at all. Most places are dead but it has the AI to make up for the emptiness. Identity has little to none AI, and none at all driving around and so the map will be empty near to all the time + the careers, how will you be able to do everything this game offers? 24 players, what if 1 person is wanted and then he is in the middle of nowhere and your a cop, it would be near impossible to catch them. Identity would be great if console could handle everything like 300 players per server, give us an option to join a certain server and player interaction which failed in other places, but the question is would it actually be successful or would it be a downfall? I would definately play it if the devs could make everything be the same as the pc version work on a console version but as I said above, there is little hope for it to work. (just my opinion). Please don't argue, just put a reasonable opinion of your thoughts on this. Also I know it was tasked about before but it turned into a argument. This is purely because i wonder what benefits it would give on console/ which things won't change either. Also I would love it on both but I doubt it would be for one for atleast maybe 2 years after pc release that they would be able to even accomodate it to work on a cnsole.

1 pointMake sure to keep your PC (& components) clean, dusty video cards will slow your performance etc.

1 pointI think I like where your coming from sir! It would be a good draw to the full release to have a town square party on full release. @Motown or @Paratusmight be able to shed some light on if they like this idea (hopefully) Cheers @MadMcardle
-
1 pointSounds cool but I am not sure how much extra work that would be, if it was to slow the release down a lot then I'd say no but if it is relatively easy then it would certainly be something to remember the launch. Maybe for the full release though, when all the kinks are ironed out? Just a thought

1 pointNo worries man, and Beta is aimed for early 2017 but the modules will be release before that, you can track their progress - http://www.identityrpg.com/info/modules/
-
1 pointAll pledges above the $30 Founder package including the founder package has the beta and modules. Oh damn the VIP package is a lot but if you do get it damn you have free money to spend.
-
1 pointHello and Welcome to the Identity community! I recommend the same as @MadMcardle but also if you want to own an apartment and a garage in the modules/ in the beginning of the game full release, don't forget the beta is the ($90 package: Home Owner) Please use the search function bar before posting questions or ideas as the ideas or questions may have already been asked/ posted on the forum.
-
1 pointWelcome Dru, I am from the UK so we can always team up on a server together if you like. I would recommend getting the Founder package minimum, that way you will be able to play the modules before the beta test

-
1 pointSounds good. Can't wait to see this in action!
-
1 pointThere will be no subscription fees and i believe you wont be able to pay for in game currency. The only items that will be on the store for real money will be unique cosmetic items like clothes or housing items. These items are purely cosmetic and will not give you an advantage in a battle, etc.

1 pointWhat’s up identity, it has been a long time coming! For those who may not know me, my name is Travis (A.K.A. TRAV) and I am 23! I am super excited and grateful to be here helping you guys and making this experience a pleasant one! I have been a part of the Asylum team for two years, and have decided to retire to shift my complete focus and dedication to all of you! I can’t wait to interact with every single one of you and make this community not only the top community in its category, but a wholesome place where you feel safe and at home in. Now a little about myself. I am finishing up a degree in business, and plan to one day own something of my own. My wife's name is Shannon and we are in it together for the long haul(sorry ladies). We have been together for just about 5 years and it still seems like day 1! We have a 15 year old kitty Blaze and a three years old ball python Romeo. We love hiking, fishing, biking, and just about anything that will get us outside and active! I enjoy hibachi and sushi and hate mayonnaise. Overall I am your average ordinary guy, and would hope none of you would be nervous or timid to approach me! I am always open to a question as long as I have an answer, and if not I will make it my top priority to figure it out! If you have questions feel free to message me on the forums here, or message me at Asylumtrav@gmail.com! Thanks so much for being apart of this awesome voyage! We are all in this together, and remember, we must treat each other with respect in order to keep such a wholesome community! Thanks for reading, and for your time to look over this introduction. Again please feel free to ask me anything you may be wondering about me, or anything forum or game related! Your Friend, TRAV

1 pointThis is subject to change, but as it stands right now there are a couple things to be considered here. First, some crimes are automatically charged against you. This is necessary to keep people in check and help avoid the game becoming a big killing ground. That said, there is a threshold for certain crimes (each crime has a severity rating) which will not be automatically charged. In this case, someone who witnesses it literally has to contact 911 and will have the option to report the crime. Once reported, that person becomes wanted. Now you mention that the police would be notified, but in this case even with a murder they would not be notified, you'd simply become wanted for a murder (which is a pretty serious matter). If a witness makes a report to 911 the police WOULD be notified. There are some cases where killing someone has less of a severity in which case it would need to be reported, such as if you've killed someone in a rival gang or if the game determines a kill was likely in self-defense.

1 pointHello there! My name is James, also know as Spank (among many other names). I have been gaming since i was a kid, from the nostalgic SNES all the way up to PC. I am a member of Gaming-Asylum, which is Asylum Entertainments Altis Life mission for ArmA 3. I have been a member of their community since Christmas 2013. I am also an Administrator there, which i have held since roughly April of 2014. Other than Gaming-Asylum, my past community history as well as Admin positions would have been in BF2 (PC), and BF3 (X360). Being mechanically minded since i was a kid, I am man of many talents but a master of none. Born and raised in Alaska where I work in aviation as a mechanic. I also hold a private pilot license, which i hope to continue to commercial. Other hobbies would have to be hunting, fishing, cars, firearms, & planes. I am a pretty laid back guy, i like to make jokes and am all for friendly ribbing. If you're upfront and honest with me, i will be straight forward with you. If you need help or have any questions, you can reach me here through PM. Or on Gaming-Asylum, which i have linked in my name above.

1 pointHia! Katie here, name also being, well Katie. I learned about Identity from one of my friends and decided that I would love to help out, which is why I'm here now! I mostly play League of Legends in my free time, but I expand my pool of gaming. Right now I'm in Queen's University in Kingston studying Biology, which is not the easiest thing in the world to do. If you ever want to play a game or two of something, feel free to shoot me a message and I'll add you on whatever. I just hope everyone has a good time!

1 pointHowdy! My name is Josh, but when it comes to gaming, I am more famously known as Killswitch. I have been playing video games ever since I was a young. I originated from console gaming, went to PC, back to console, then back to the PC master race after college. I dabble in all sorts of games but find the MMORPGs, MOBAs, and FPS games to be the most entertaining. I am from North Dakota and attended North Dakota State University where I got my Bachelors of Science. I am currently a Chemist in the area of Water Treatment, however I am going to go back to college to pursue a degree in Computer Science in the fall. I, like many others here, have met most of these young chaps through Asylum's Altis Life Server where I am an Administrator as well. Other additional hobbies would be sports, hunting, fishing, music, movies, and of course hanging out with friends. If you have any questions or need help, don't hesitate to message me.
-
1 pointGreetings All! I will preface this by saying that my username is pronounced "Goo-Gee." I have heard a lot of different variations of it and I hope this will prevent any confusion! My actual name is Evan and I am a sophomore studying to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. I am originally from Florida, the warm and sunny state where all you bizarre news stories originate. I came to know all of these amazing people through being an administrator on Asylum's Arma Life server since April 2014. My interests are mainly in the relationship between technology and law, which I hope to pursue after I finish my undergraduate education. I also am working to become fluent in Spanish, which I hope will be complete after I complete my abroad studies in Barcelona. In addition to gaming, I also enjoy watching and playing soccer, rowing, programming (Web Development, Java, C, Python), videography, and much more! Feel free to message with help regarding Identity or the Gaming-Aslyum ARMA Life servers.

1 pointHey everyone, I'm Brendan, I'm currently a senior in high school taking a programming class and 3D modeling course with high hopes to go into the gaming industry in the future. I've been gaming ever since I was about 5 or 6. I've always loved video games and the world that it put you in. By the age of 13 I bought my first PC and gamed on it for about 2 years, After working part-time I save up money and built my new Gaming PC which is what I use now. After switching to PC I will never go back to consoles! Once I built that computer I installed all my software for 3D modeling and have been creating different projects to store in a portfolios for future job applications, by late 2016 I hope to apply for an internship at Gearbox Software (Creators of Borderlands) to improve my knowledge of the gaming industry. Thanks for checking out my introduction and I hope to see you guys around!

1 pointNice to meet you all. I'm Matt, also known as Dysto, I guess that's my sort of online alias. I'm a Second Year University Student in the UK who loves to get involved in online communities especially when it allows me to work around a great group of people and a great product. I started out running my own forums several years ago along with a friend, I then moved into the journalistic space acting as a freelance writer for a period of time. More recently I help test two GRID games at Codemasters being credited for my role in the community there, before stumbling onto Identity. If you have any questions or queries feel free to come and discuss it with me. You can also catch me at @Dysto on Twitter. I'll see you guys around, lets make Identity the next big thing.

1 pointGo find a niche indie multiplayer game that is still active on consoles from 4-5 years ago. I'll save you the trouble, you can't. This game will not work on consoles. Players can hardly interact in Destiny raids or in matches of Halo. How can developers expect to port a game that is literally based around player interaction and have it be successful?

1 pointHello there, So, about me, I am Admin Revenge X from Asylum and I've been doing my volunteering work there for quite a while. I live in a little small island called Puerto Rico and I speak both languages of Spanish and English fluently, so for you Latin people out there with any questions you know who to look for :). I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember and very competitive. Also I've been working on the APD on the Asylum community for a long time, reached the rank of Lieutenant and so far its been my hobby so if there is going to be cops beware! I am coming to get you!. I always been a people person type of guy and love to help out as much as I can so if you ever see me around don't be scared to say hi. Anyways I hope to see you all soon so we can start our adventures together and make this game a blast. ~Revenge X~

1 pointHello everyone! I am Olio! I was previously the Community Manager for Asylum's Entertainment's "Altis Life" mission file on Arma 3, and ever since the day I stepped foot onto Altis Life, I have been hooked with what Paratus and Motown have created as well as the great community that surrounds the Altis Life format. I am an active PC gamer across many genres. I was extremely excited to hear about Identity being started and I am extremely excited for its release and being a part of the ever growing community of Asylum Entertainment. As a leader in the customer service industry, I thoroughly enjoy working with people, creating resolutions for issues and striving to create win/win situations for everyone. If you ever need any help feel free to contact me here on the forums or Identities Official Discord and I will get back to you as soon as possible. See you in Identity!
