2 pointsMe. Definitely. I am going to start off on the public servers for a bit but have been asked to administrate someone's serious RP server once it goes up.
-
2 pointsUnfortunately the progress does not automatically change. For all we know it could be 100% tomorrow. The devs change it when they think progress has been made and so far the only update we have had was a dev blog on the 25th of March. There is a video coming out in the near future explaining housing customization but i dont know when that will be. I hope we do hear from the devs soon as i really want to play this game

1 pointHey guys. I am looking to invest some money into a buisness as soon as the game launches and continue to fund as i play. I would prefer it to be some sort of delivery or transport firm like buses or taxi firm so if you are starting one of these or even would like to join me and start something together then please get in touch or comment below. If you already have investors and are looking for more please let me know details of how safe my investment would be and the benefits for every 1k i invest. thanks

1 pointBefore I start I want to say that I have a huge amount of faith in this project of Identity. The reason why I am making this post is so Motown and Paratus can see what some people are worried about and maybe they can answer some concerns so people get relief. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I want the community of Identity to place a bit of their concerns about Identity. I will start: My number one concern about identity would be: The trolls running around RDM-ing and messing around (The Devs have already said there would be a in-game mechanic to stop this but I am still very concerned as this would be a game breaking occurrence.)

1 pointHello there. I've noticed alot of people on the forums saying that they would prefer to play this game in a light RP fashion, which seems a shame being that this game is going to be created simply for the element of realistic RP. I was wondering if any people on here, alike to me, are here for the more hardcore RP kinda stuff, if so, how many of you are there, and is anyone planning on creating a community harcore RP server right off the bat of when community servers get supported.

1 pointI'd love to do some serious RP myself. Of course I'll be a badass cop with vendetta for criminals. lol
-
1 pointI'm real ecstatic about being a police officer fighting for justice! Anyone else as excited as I am for this?!
-
1 pointI don't believe this game will be too graphically demanding, although the screenshots do make it look absolutely stunning. Why would you not want the movement to be alike to ArmA's? I find the movement smooth and a hell of alot better and more realistic than anything like Gmod or something of the sort. If you're refering to the vehicle movement then I absolutely agree, i'm really hoping the dev's do a good job with car handling and physics. It shouldn't be like ArmA's slippery mess of a vehicle engine.

1 pointI just like to ensure that the police in Identity will not be above the law and that they are aware that they won't get away with being corrupt or abusing their powers.

1 pointYou can't legally arrest them without proof that they are doing something illegal. Sure, if a race starts, you can arrest the participants of the race, but nobody else. If you were to arrest others, a half-assed lawyer would easily get the charges dropped on the grounds of you violating the First Amendment. Then they could even sue you and the Police Department for violating their rights, which most likely wouldn't end well for you. Hope you find this information useful!
-
1 pointI'm afraid you are wrong here. You will be violating the First Amendment of the United States of America's Constitution(as the game is based in the US, this will apply), specifically the right to assembly. You will only be able to arrest any member of the group if you have evidence of that particular member being involved in a specific crime. Without this, you would be operating illegally. This is where you could use the CIA or a Private Security Company to do the work for you, as they have a bit more flexibility. And before you say that this is not true, this is a problem that many Police forces currently, as they cannot arrest anybody for being in a gang without evidence of the gang's involvement.Even if they do have evidence that places some members of the gang at a crime scene, only those certain members they have the evidence for can be arrested. Hope this helps!

1 pointPersonally id find it funny if they did make humorous Knock offs off the products/brand names

1 pointApart from trollers and PKs, I'm worried about character creator. Will the characters look good? Can I customize them to the extent of Black Desert? Can I pick whatever shade of purple I want or will I have few limited options? <.<
-
1 pointThere shouldn't be a big rule on rp but there will be rp only servers so you don't have to worry about that my friend. ;P

1 pointWill our character's faces be completely created by us by editing/dragging face meshes? or will faces come in presets; similar to The Division or Dark Souls' character presets.

1 pointMy concerns, as I think will be shared by many, is the substance to the game. I have faith that the game will come out, and it will live up to it's promised standards in terms of development, but I am concerned that the Identity community in game will not RP as well as I want them to. It annoyes me that on the homepage of the website, the first two things you see are a short clip of someone shooting a rifle, and a gang member with an AK. I'm hoping to log onto Identity, when it comes out, and seeing everyone RP as they should, giving the game real substance and texture, but I don't believe there are that many people who want this game to really RP, and not just engage in firefights like on Altis life. I think Identity as a concept is perfect, but the main issue is that, as put as an analogy, the game is only the engine, the community is the rest of the car. If the rest of the car falls to peices and doesn't work as it should, then what use is the engine. In better terms, Identity will rely entirely on the community to make the game work right, and the community is the most unreliable part of any game.

1 pointMy characters clothing is pretty simple but some things I want to see for my character is: the hairstyle that Brad Pitt has in fury. and a pair of black and yellow rigger gloves. hopefully I'll be seeing these in game
-
1 pointGood idea! We'll keep an eye on this thread to try to get an idea of what you guys are looking for. It's important to us that our players be able to fully express their personalities through character customization. Please try to keep ideas grounded in reality though! A lot of our design decisions are based on whether we feel a certain style will break immersion for others.

1 pointI want to invest. I love to be a part of a bar or stripclub ownership as an investment group's name. If you catch my drift. The investment group will always be around.

1 pointIm pretty sure it wont be "Real Time" day & night. Most likely 2-3 hours of day then 1 & half of nightt

1 pointi think they should get a trello board. I use it as a checklist for my video game creation and will be really good to show what pieces of the game they are working on and they can tick them off when they are done so we know what they are doing and what has been completed

1 pointToo much talk No proof to back it up, thats my concern at the moment
-
1 pointOur primary reason for not having air vehicles isn't so much the size of the world, it's that they allow people to skip over interaction which is the core of Identity's gameplay. Imagine there's a car collision below and a fight erupts, flying over it without any consideration won't bring so much emergent gameplay as if you had to pass through or alter your path. That's simply one example out of thousands of scenarios where flight deprives you of emergent gameplay. It's sort of like using fast-travel in a game like Skyrim; sure it's convenient, but some of the coolest events and discoveries happen en-route.

1 pointWhat happens in the club is dealt by the club, unfortunately i can see one of our club members meeting Bad Company! but if i ever need such a service on someone else, ill give you a call

1 pointIf I can't own a bar and be the cliched badass bar owner behind the counter, I'm going to riot. I want to own a bar damn it! Do you know the amount of RP a bar can generate!?

1 pointMy main concern is 'GTA syndrome'. The very last thing I want is for Identity to go down the road where it becomes little more than GTA Online with frills. I understand that it's a game, but at the same time I also understand that it has to be fun for everyone, once crime becomes the norm, once there is a kidnapping every twenty minutes, it'll get old fast. Crime will play a big part in the rise or fall of Identity, but if it gets to the point where the 'social' players stop logging in, then it'll be in trouble. I think to succeed, Identity is going to have to fully appeal to a broader range of play styles, and appeal to them in the long term & just like in real life, a high rate of crime is going to drive those players away. Hopefully a broad range of server types will sort that out, but I guess we'll see.
-
1 pointThere will probably be more people who take the normal jobs because there will be more people on a server than in dark rp.
-
1 pointMy main issue is the crime to "normal" jobs ratio. Coming from GMod I know how often the mafia/BMD/etc. factions are chosen over chef or creating your own job as a civilian, and I hope it's the opposite with Identity and there's a healthy mix, if not more "normal" jobs than crime. Not that I expect there to be no crime, I just want to actually roleplay something other than being mugged or being taken hostage.
-
1 pointIdentity debs said there won't even be helicopters. They said they don't want to make the map seem too small, it will spoil the immersion.
