2 pointsDEV BLOG #001 Greetings Citizens, It has been just over a year since you helped successfully kick start Identity into existence! We want to thank you all for your continued support by providing you all with regular updates following the development process for Identity. Engaging with our community is one of the best ways we can show our thanks, and a development blog is a perfect opportunity for us to bring you along for the ride. As you’ve seen throughout the past year, there is no game out there that is quite like Identity, and through your support, you have proven to us that Identity is a vision worth turning into a reality! Feedback has shown us that you all really appreciate our attempts to respond to virtually every question we receive on social media. Twitter and Facebook have been a huge boost in exposure for Identity, and so it is time we begin to explore other avenues of exposure to help our community understand a bit more about the game. In the coming months, our fans will see their first glimpse of gameplay for Identity! We are all extremely excited to show off our first gameplay video, which will fully explore the mechanics of apartment and housing customization. With this video, you will see that we have stayed true to our original art direction from the original Kickstarter trailer, while maintaining high standards in realistic lighting and graphics. We can safely say that we have improved many of the areas of our design that needed attention since February last year. Apartment & Housing Customization Apartments and houses within Identity will have a fully customizable interior. You will be able to change the wall paper on every wall in every room, place furniture anywhere there is space on the ground, swap out doors, windows, baseboards, crown moulding, and even wainscoting! We have made no compromise to the level of detail in which you can customize your apartments or homes, in order to truly express your sense of home decor. With this level of control, there is virtually no chance that the interior of two homes will ever look alike. There will be hundreds of furniture items available to purchase in-game in every style and design, from traditional to contemporary. Furniture in Identity can even be crafted, sold, or traded to other players, and those who wish to try their hand at crafting hand-made furniture from a variety of materials can place a crafting table anywhere they wish inside their homes! And if you wish to share your space with a partner, friend, or even a group of friends, homes and apartments will be available for sale throughout the world that support multiple roommates depending the size of the space and how many bedrooms are available. The home-owner may even grant build permissions to any number of roommates, even visitors, to help them decorate their living space. When you are finished, invite your friends over to compliment you on your interior decorating skills! If you’re anything like us, we know you will spend more time cleaning up this virtual home than you do your real one! Radio This week, our team has also placed a lot of our development efforts into building a functioning radio system that will allow you to listen to your favorite real-world radio stations through placed radio objects inside your virtual home, or car! Yes, you can flip through the channels in your car radio, which will also broadcast to the immediate area outside your car. Imagine driving down the street and having everyone you pass know you listen to NSYNC! One other major part of this feature that we are excited to tell you about is player operated talk-shows which you can personally host, or tune-in and listen to, from your car radio or home. The way we currently have this planned out for hosts, is to have actual physical broadcast stations on the map that you can enter as a player and begin hosting your own radio talk-show. Player’s listening from their car or home can browse a list of channels currently being hosted at that very moment, and listen to you live, talking about government conspiracies and UFO’s! We are really hoping that this feature will have a major social impact for Identity. Like you, we see a lot of potential in something like this for budding stars within the community. We would absolutely love to see many of you sprout a career that started in a game we developed, and ended with us listening to your lovely voice on our actual car radio! The Town Square (Social Module) Many of you already know of, and are eagerly anticipating the release of the planned “Town Square” module that is currently still in production. While we can’t give you an exact date on when that will be ready, progress is steady, and we are as excited as you are to meet you all for the first time in a virtual environment. You may already be aware that Identity is largely influenced by a landmass in the south-eastern portion of the United States. The Town Square itself is only a small portion of a larger city built into the final version of Identity called Ash Hill, a reference to Asheville, North Carolina where we had originally planned to move Asylum’s office. We picked this area of the world particularly because it offered a wide range of geographical variance. The transition between Identity’s mix of biomes needed to feel natural, and this area offered most of what we had been looking for. As for the other cities in Identity, their influences may become more clear to you now. Myrtle Beach is obviously Turtle Beach in Identity, and Roseport is less subtle, but a mix between Atlanta and New York City. When we first started, we kept everything, including the structures and world props level to the ground, a mistake we have since corrected. We quickly realized that cities are rarely ever flat, and knew that setting that precedent now would benefit Identity in the future. The next time you see The Town Square module, we are confident that you will notice the difference compared to earlier screenshots, what such a small transformation makes for immersion in a game environment. Moving Forward We want to thank our community for being so patient with us. Over the course of the past year, we’ve seen many work-in-progress screenshots of assets destined for Identity, and while we believe they serve as a sample of the work we have already put into the game, we know that many of you are still anxious to see video. Our current priority is to get things ready to show off, or more specifically, the housing/apartment customization first. We are convinced that many of you will appreciate the time and effort we have put into this feature, so that you will be able to fully express yourself through your character and virtual home. We know we’ve been pretty quiet this past year, and the criticism we’ve heard from our fans on that through social media and the forums have not fallen on deaf ears! We will start to release regular updates through development blogs and continue to find new ways to interact with our community, to show you our gratitude for your support. 1 pointWe at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. Core Transport is a corporation who's main focus will be to become your #1 in transport. Space in the truck trailer and van are divided into 6 zones, the costs would be as followed: SPACES 1 = 50$ | 4 = 400 2 = 150$ | 5 = 750 3 = 250$ | 6 = 1,000 Prices will be negotiable, and this is all a prototype. all feedback is much appreciated. Roles and procedures of the Logistical Driver. (1) The Depot: Drivers will collect their asset (vehicle) belonging to the C.T. Corporation at the start of their shift after the yard master / secretary* gives them their Driver Reference Nr and permission to depart from the Yard, once the driver receives his/her instructions then departure is permitted by the Security Guard. (2) The warehouse: The warehouse operators would be loading the truck before the driver arrives. Small vans or other truck drivers would be assigned to bring smaller goods to a company owned warehouse where the customers goods would be distributed to their final location. But it is possible to deliver directly from Factory > Destination if the payment reaches minimum for that process to occur. Its an important job to ensure that goods are loaded efficiently and effectively. (3) Secure Driver Procedure: When any driver enters a yard or distribution centre a driver number must be given, along with the vehicles registration plates and what kind of cargo is being transported. Core Transport is a 100% legal company and it is up to the Security Officer to ensure that no illegal contraband is ever transported. Heavy fines would apply for any contraband that would be attempted to transport. When trucks arrive and depart they are heavily checked by security officers to ensure the safety of the driver and compliance with the law. Dockets would be printed out for drivers with ALL the information they need to take off. My only concern is that people won't roleplay seriously and will run around being stupid and not actually roleplaying. Co-CEO Director of Operations Depot Manager Ticketing Officer Dispatch Officer Coach Driver Commercial Driver Bus Driver Security Guard Secretary More jobs may become available as information of Identity is released --------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTIONS ---------------------------------------- -The CEO: There is only one CEO and that is myself, Astonair (Air for short) I handle all the advertisement's, designs and business relations with other company's -The Director of Operations is the man in charge of ensuring that the Depots and destinations are running perfectly clear, the DO (Director of Operations) will also create and manage bus lines, bus lines that are beaming will have more vehicles assigned, rather than those which may have one bus to multiple locations less frequently. -The Depot Manager ensures that CORE Transport always has the perfect prices for passengers and Cargo Delivery customers. The Manager also manages the advert campaign of CORE Transport, but this does not include other control over other commercial company's adverts. The manager must ensure that staff are working at full capacity to make sure the system is fast and sleek - to be hassle free for all customers. -Ticketing Officer, this is the person that firstly sells tickets in the ticket office / booth and writes down all the correct details on a special ticket that will be handed to the Passengers, the passengers would hold on to this ticket with a special serial key and regular information to be checked before boarding the bus, serial keys are written down and there can only be one like it (anti-scam system) In more rural areas or less visited locations, the ticket officer comes along for a ride with the driver, to sell and check tickets before passengers board the bus. The ticket officer will be using the Microphone system the most for sure, announcing arrivals, departures and other information to take the strain of a Dispatch Officer. Ticketing officers also go onto city buses to check tickets of passengers, as policy states that people can sometimes get on with no ticket checking, ticketing officers will get on buses at random times to ensure that people are not riding on the bus illegally. -The Dispatch Officer is a job for people who would rather have an office job, this jobs main priority is to keep tabs on what CORE vehicles (Buses, truck's, vans, other company's vehicles) and to ensure that they arrive and depart at proper times, buses would be directed to proper platforms, and most of the time, you will be using the Microphone System to announce arrivals / departures / info. -Coach driver, the name said it all for me, but here is some information anyway's: The Coach driver job is the most important and critical job in the whole company, as it is the heart and the reason for being (of the company) Coach drivers don't drive in the cities and towns, they driver to and from cities and towns having only one or two stops in each city/town before proceeding on its long distance away to the destination(s), it is the job of the driver to ensure that passengers are safe at all times, and that the driver always announces stops, updates and other information via microphone, Coach drivers are careful drivers, to ensure maximum safety and efficiency for the Passengers. -Commercial Driver, this is a driver that drives Trucks and Vans to deliver goods, depending on the good's size and demand, the Van will be a more likely option, or truck for long distance / high quantity loads. This driver does not need to worry about passengers, but needs to focus on its load, to ensure that the trailer (if any) is always secure, there is no one in the trailer (if possible) and that the transport of drugs is not tolerated. If departing from a CORE Depot, a security guard will always check and secure the cargo. (always on time) -Bus drivers, you might think that this is the same as a coach driver, but it is not, type Bus into Google images and then coach, the both have clear differences. A bus driver would drive a bus of different design (if any) around the more dense areas of the game such as cities and larger towns. A bus never leaves a cities / towns boarders unless it is an N/A service approved to move to another location. Bus drivers are in-charge of selling tickets to the passengers. If there are few passengers at a stop, the driver must find time to sell tickets, if its pact with people on a stop, the driver can let people right on to prevent time-loss. The bus driver cannot have chats with passengers while driving unless it is a general question or a request to buy tickets. -Security Guards always patrol around main areas where the CORE Transport company operates such as major bus stops or company commercial Depots, other than making sure no harm is brought to people when in large groups, guards check trucks before they depart for any Illegal consistencies or people on the back of the truck. Once the load is secured, the Guard gives the all go for the driver. -Secretary Manages all the messages / complaints / reservations / enquiry. All information is provided to secretaries so that Passengers/customers questions can be answered efficiently. 1 pointFirst I want to say that I just found out about this game a couple days ago and am really excited about this idea. I have heard this game being compared as a mix between GTA and The Sims, which I am a big fan of both. My question, and I hope someone can help, is that I have read many threads about people wanting to grow, make, and sell drugs but who is going to want to buy the drugs? Like what I mean is what would be the benefit to your character of spending your money on a pound of kush. I think this might cause a heavy supply in dealers but if there is no demand or benefit to buying the drugs then won't it discourage people from buying it? I know in The Sims there is a "mood meter" or whatever that has hunger, bladder, energy, and etc that you have to manage, will there be something like that in this game that makes it worth buying food and taking drugs.

1 pointIf you own anything in a official server say "server #1" and then say go on "server #2" of the official servers, all your things will carry over with every official server, so there is no worries there but if you are wanted for murder on 1 official server then you will be wanted on all official servers! Also the only thing is the community servers the money you make on them will not carry over to any other server. If I have answered your question or have been helpful please leave a like!

1 pointI hope they do something a bit more advanced as far as the damage model is concerned--it should be addressed how potentially disabling being shot is vs vanilla Arma 3 where you got just have a certain amount of health and you get more and more bloody until you just die.

He was in love with motorcycles, especially Harely's and Honda's. His parents called him a motorcycle enthusiast, that was for the short time they knew him. Aidan's parents were gunned down in a dark alleyway on Christmas Eve 1999. This dramatic event sure did change a few things in his life. The way he acted, his sense of humour, the people he hung around with,but one thing stayed. His love for motorcycles. Nothing could separate Aidan from his bikes. The first opportunity he had to ride one, he took it. He completed his riding tests in what seemed like record time and not a single day passed where he wouldn't be on his bike. Months passed and Aidan was working in a garage making some sort of wage. It kept him on his feet though, that was the main thing,he even did some work on his own bike during the weekends at the garage. After 3 years of working in the garage, fixing vehicles and meeting new faces Aidan decided to go to his first motorcycle meetup. He had never seen so many bikes in his life. There were even some Motorcycle Club members attending the meet. It was one of the best days in Aidan's life. That was until he left his bike to get a beer and crisps and returned with no bike to be seen. After dropping his food and drink in anger and shouting in anger, two members of the MC he saw earlier came up to him, saying they saw the theft in action but it happened too fast for them to act. They offered to help him get his bike back, they know how much a bike can mean to someone. They explained that they had seen the robbers at motorcycle meets before, they never robbed anything before though. They asked Aidan for his address and said they would contact him if they found anything on them. He gave it to them, he was so desperate to get his bike back that he would do anything to find it. Weeks past and some members from the MC came to Aidan's house bearing good news, very good news. They had an address and said they had scouted it out and saw the bike but wanted him to be there when they took it back. The day came for Aidan to get his bike back, a member from the MC gave Aidan a pistol in case things got messy, long story short. They did. Shots were fired, men were killed, and Aidan started his life of crime, he killed two men that day, he got his motorcycle back, but that didn't change the fact that blood was shed. The MC members said he did a good thing, Aidan didn't agree. Aidan became paranoid, he couldn't sleep, something haunted him at night. Aidan stopped riding his bike, stopped working his job. He thought it was time to turn a new leaf, so he did. He bought plane ticket with the majority of his money from work and ran away to a secluded island. Hoping for a new life.
