4 pointsDEV BLOG #001 Greetings Citizens, It has been just over a year since you helped successfully kick start Identity into existence! We want to thank you all for your continued support by providing you all with regular updates following the development process for Identity. Engaging with our community is one of the best ways we can show our thanks, and a development blog is a perfect opportunity for us to bring you along for the ride. As you’ve seen throughout the past year, there is no game out there that is quite like Identity, and through your support, you have proven to us that Identity is a vision worth turning into a reality! Feedback has shown us that you all really appreciate our attempts to respond to virtually every question we receive on social media. Twitter and Facebook have been a huge boost in exposure for Identity, and so it is time we begin to explore other avenues of exposure to help our community understand a bit more about the game. In the coming months, our fans will see their first glimpse of gameplay for Identity! We are all extremely excited to show off our first gameplay video, which will fully explore the mechanics of apartment and housing customization. With this video, you will see that we have stayed true to our original art direction from the original Kickstarter trailer, while maintaining high standards in realistic lighting and graphics. We can safely say that we have improved many of the areas of our design that needed attention since February last year. Apartment & Housing Customization Apartments and houses within Identity will have a fully customizable interior. You will be able to change the wall paper on every wall in every room, place furniture anywhere there is space on the ground, swap out doors, windows, baseboards, crown moulding, and even wainscoting! We have made no compromise to the level of detail in which you can customize your apartments or homes, in order to truly express your sense of home decor. With this level of control, there is virtually no chance that the interior of two homes will ever look alike. There will be hundreds of furniture items available to purchase in-game in every style and design, from traditional to contemporary. Furniture in Identity can even be crafted, sold, or traded to other players, and those who wish to try their hand at crafting hand-made furniture from a variety of materials can place a crafting table anywhere they wish inside their homes! And if you wish to share your space with a partner, friend, or even a group of friends, homes and apartments will be available for sale throughout the world that support multiple roommates depending the size of the space and how many bedrooms are available. The home-owner may even grant build permissions to any number of roommates, even visitors, to help them decorate their living space. When you are finished, invite your friends over to compliment you on your interior decorating skills! If you’re anything like us, we know you will spend more time cleaning up this virtual home than you do your real one! Radio This week, our team has also placed a lot of our development efforts into building a functioning radio system that will allow you to listen to your favorite real-world radio stations through placed radio objects inside your virtual home, or car! Yes, you can flip through the channels in your car radio, which will also broadcast to the immediate area outside your car. Imagine driving down the street and having everyone you pass know you listen to NSYNC! One other major part of this feature that we are excited to tell you about is player operated talk-shows which you can personally host, or tune-in and listen to, from your car radio or home. The way we currently have this planned out for hosts, is to have actual physical broadcast stations on the map that you can enter as a player and begin hosting your own radio talk-show. Player’s listening from their car or home can browse a list of channels currently being hosted at that very moment, and listen to you live, talking about government conspiracies and UFO’s! We are really hoping that this feature will have a major social impact for Identity. Like you, we see a lot of potential in something like this for budding stars within the community. We would absolutely love to see many of you sprout a career that started in a game we developed, and ended with us listening to your lovely voice on our actual car radio! The Town Square (Social Module) Many of you already know of, and are eagerly anticipating the release of the planned “Town Square” module that is currently still in production. While we can’t give you an exact date on when that will be ready, progress is steady, and we are as excited as you are to meet you all for the first time in a virtual environment. You may already be aware that Identity is largely influenced by a landmass in the south-eastern portion of the United States. The Town Square itself is only a small portion of a larger city built into the final version of Identity called Ash Hill, a reference to Asheville, North Carolina where we had originally planned to move Asylum’s office. We picked this area of the world particularly because it offered a wide range of geographical variance. The transition between Identity’s mix of biomes needed to feel natural, and this area offered most of what we had been looking for. As for the other cities in Identity, their influences may become more clear to you now. Myrtle Beach is obviously Turtle Beach in Identity, and Roseport is less subtle, but a mix between Atlanta and New York City. When we first started, we kept everything, including the structures and world props level to the ground, a mistake we have since corrected. We quickly realized that cities are rarely ever flat, and knew that setting that precedent now would benefit Identity in the future. The next time you see The Town Square module, we are confident that you will notice the difference compared to earlier screenshots, what such a small transformation makes for immersion in a game environment. Moving Forward We want to thank our community for being so patient with us. Over the course of the past year, we’ve seen many work-in-progress screenshots of assets destined for Identity, and while we believe they serve as a sample of the work we have already put into the game, we know that many of you are still anxious to see video. Our current priority is to get things ready to show off, or more specifically, the housing/apartment customization first. We are convinced that many of you will appreciate the time and effort we have put into this feature, so that you will be able to fully express yourself through your character and virtual home. We know we’ve been pretty quiet this past year, and the criticism we’ve heard from our fans on that through social media and the forums have not fallen on deaf ears! We will start to release regular updates through development blogs and continue to find new ways to interact with our community, to show you our gratitude for your support. You yourself can become more involved by contributing to the discussion with your ideas at www.identityrpg.com/community. We’ll see you there, and thank you again! Always remember that we are gamers too and we are as excited as you are to play Identity at launch!

2 pointsAdded some info regarding our membership and prices of these events. Some might think $30 is expensive but just remember that not everything there is legal Takes time and money to set these up so these prices will most likely stick. Thank you to those who have filled out our form and i cant wait to see you all at our first meetup when the game launches. Also, if you like the idea of modified meetups, please leave a comment below and we can start to make this a regular thing. I will make a thread in future to update you all on our meetups. Thanks

2 pointsSupposedly guns are going to be fairly hard to come by, but there will be knives, bats, etc., so it's only really "power" in the sense of "armed guy vs (presumably) unarmed guy" up until the police arrive.

1 pointObviously, a lot of us heard about/were drawn to Identity from within our current/prior RP communities and games. So, "where" is everyone from? What brings you here? I'm from Arma 3's A3L. I was with them for a while and did a lot in law enforcement, but my opinion of the community soured and my time there has more or less come to an end and I'm looking for greener pastures. Hopefully, Identity is that greener pasture. It's ambitious and promises a lot, and I earnestly hope it can deliver.

1 pointHi All. I, personally, am very interested to see what police vehicles the developers choose to implement. We have seen from the video that the 'DOGE' vehicle is in the lineup for starters. I am a fan of the Crown Vic, but I think its day is over - policing is changing and so are the vehicles in which Law Enforcement operate. Many forces nowadays are choosing to completely destabilize the sedan craze, with fleets being brought in of full Ford Police Interceptor Utilities. These SUVs are considered more versatile and more useful by many LE organizations over the US; including the California Highway Patrol which in 2013 selected the Ford SUV as their new vehicle, and its looking as if in excess of 700 of these vehicles will be purchased by the force. The Crown Vic, however, is a symbol of American policing in some respects and in games such as GTA we see it rolled out in some shape or another. I am interested to see if Identity will roll out a Crown Vic look-alike or if they will choose to remain with their 'DOGE' and other selected vehicles. I, myself, would like to see a SUV-type vehicle implemented in identity; in my opinion they are the best direction forward for modern policing. The driver is raised higher off the ground, there is more space inside for an officer to manoeuvre and store essential equipment (such as rifles in the front racks and medical kit, etc in the trunk), and also allow for officers to place detainees in the rear of the vehicle easier. Stepping down and out (as in an SUV) is much easer than pushing out and up (as in a Crown Vic) when exiting, and again makes the experience easier and more comfortable for the officer. Anybody know anything else, or have different opinions?

1 pointHello, I'm George. I have been a big fan / supporter of Asylum for a while, massively enjoying their Altis life servers especially. When I heard about Identity's announcement , probably later than I should have done, I sort of subconciousley opened my wallet to the kickstarter. I come from a hardcore RP background, ArmA 2 and ArmA 3 servers, and it's great to hear that users will be able to rent their own servers for that sort of thing.

1 pointI read an article about the game on one of Polish MMORPG News websites, watched the video and here I am. Generally I love mmorpgs, role play and life simulators with a wide character customization, so I fell in love with the ideas behind Identity immediately.

1 pointIt is $30 each meetup or 20 with a membership. Its not too expensive when you think about it and generally most people wont come one after the other. Another thing to keep in mind is that these meetups wont be daily. They will be every 2 weeks up to every month. Thank you for your reply though

1 pointI Am Dopey Greetings all, the names Dopey. Many of you may remember me from the Arma 3 Asylum servers. I am 28 years old, I do not live in my mom's basement, but I wish I did, because then I'd have a really kickass rig to play on. I actually am a famery man, father and hubby. Basically the lazy sumbitch that won't get up to make his own coffee. Pardon my french. I have many life professions, but the few I want you all to know.. I'm a rocket scientist, astronaut.. and part time Yelper. I was once an Officer on the Asylum servers, thanks to "Officer Jinn".. but very shortly I turned rogue and started living a life of crime. My knack is robbing all of the gas stations in a row, without getting caught. I use to be a twitch streamer, when life allowed me the patience. Twitch.tv/DopeyZero9 > I have some good times on Asylum on the highlights. I also mess around with YT here and there, if you wna take a gander Youtube/Dopeyzero9 If you hadn't figured it out by the name, yes I am Dopey. In all ways possible. #420YoloSwaghashtag I am very excited to be a backer of Identity. I have longed for a game like this. I still hadn't decided what kind of character I would like to be, but if you have ever met me, you will know that I take Roleplay to 100 as much as I can, as much as my fellow RP'er will let me. So be expecting something wild from me. I am currently only backing 30$, however I hope the upgrade system is installed soon so I can keep adding to my pledge. I have a lot of faith in these guys. Paratus once took out a good portion of his time one day to personally help me with a vehicle problem on Asylum (even though now all me vehicles are gone!! ! but I guess I can cope) After having a conversation with him I quickly realized he knows his stuff. So I trust them with my $, with my pledge. I trust they will take this game far, as they have already created one of my personal all time favorites on Arma 3. So before I go writing a biography of my life, or what I want you to think is my life.. I welcome all of you to conversations of endless proportions, as I frequently check my email because I like to act important while in the grocery store line. Til next time!

1 pointI think it's hard to "know" much of anything at this point aside from what the developers intend. (Notably, we've seen the CVPI in concept art) However, with that in mind, there are still a number of vehicles I expect: - CVPI/FPI/Impala as a basic patrol vehicle. Good utility, decent speed, very typical of police. - Charger/Camaro as police interceptor. A little more specialized, faster. - Suburban/Tahoe/Ford Explorer as a supervisor unit. - Bearcat or similar heavy vehicle for SWAT.

1 pointLimit: You scream "I'M NOT A WEEABOO GUYS" to every single person you see. Power: The power to see through solid objects.
-
1 pointDo you not understand? This has nothing to do with economy or player equality; this has to do with roleplay experiences within the game. Even if helicopters were 1 million dollars, inevitably, players would achieve this and the scenario which PARATUS describes would happen; and the more people you take out of these interactions, the more dead the world would begin to feel. tl;dr - no

1 pointYou are missing the damn point: he might lose his confidence or something similar that's it! so be nice to him and encourage him and you said That's pretty much you making fun of his bad english but just forget about it and move on.
-
1 pointWell, my experience with english wasn't the same of yours however that does not change the fact that you need to stop being mean to others and actually help them.
-
1 pointNope i had a rough time learning english because people like you posting such things made me lose my confidence and embarrassed instead of encouraging me and fixing the actual mistakes not just saying that my english is bad.
-
1 pointDon't be mean to him he is learning i had a rough time learning english because of people like you, why not fix the mistakes instead of mocking him.

1 pointI love how people are so optimistic these days. Anything that is made can be broken. A rock can be broken with another bigger rock and so it continues.
