2 pointsWe at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. We'll be bringing you more information on the modules as they progress!

2 pointsNicodemo Donato Brasco It's been 33 long hard years for Nicky, He was born in Palermo and stayed there for 4 years Living with his Mom. His birth Mom was abusive to Nicky's Dad, so his Dad moved to Catania with Nicky and married a woman. Nicky was happy and lived there until he was 24, His Dad was pressuring him to get a job. Nicky was a dropout student at the age of 16 and never went to university. Nicky knew that he had no hope finding a job, and he wasn't going to stick around and be some janitor. So he left Sicily and his family and went straight to New York where his distant cousin, Johnny Mariano, held a mob. The mob was small at first, but it grew bigger as more people joined. Nicky never saw himself being into crime but it was probably the only possible way of him making money and enjoying it. He started as just an associate, after his skills were proven to Johnny, he was made a soldier of his crew. Nicky has 1 step sister living in Sicily, and his dad disliked him going to New York, always asking him to come back. Nick won't go back to Sicily unless something happens to the family and he has to move to a different country.

2 pointsJohnny Mariano was born Giovanni Carlo Mariano in Sicily. His father was a bricklayer and his mother a schoolteacher, but both were killed in a car crash caused by a known heroin junkie when Johnny was 19. Together, Johnny and his younger brother Paolo 'Paulie' Mariano killed the man. Though they took precautions to make sure the murder was not traced back to them, it wasn't long before the police connected the dots and the brothers became the prime suspects of the disappearance. Having exhausted all other options, they fled to the US where they tried to go straight (in accordance with their mothers wishes), but found it difficult to even scrape by. They founded a small crime ring that specialized in smuggling, extortion, fraud, contract killings, illegal gambling, and arms dealing, and quickly rose to the top of the relatively quiet criminal underworld of Paramo. Shortly after the foundation of their organisation, Johnny and Paulie's (much younger) second cousin Nicodemo 'Nicky B' Brasco came over from Sicily and started helping out. He quickly proved himself to be a competent gangster, and because of their blood connection Johnny recognized him as his logical protege and accepted him into the family. Over the years the crime ring grew to become the Mariano Crime Family, a large and respected crime family that brought in millions of dollars every year. At the top of the family were the brothers 'Johnny' and 'Paulie' Mariano, who became legendary figures in the criminal underworld.

1 pointI would love to have my own trucking company and be able to by a shop garage to park all of my trucks and trailers. I want to be able to buy a property like that and buy a few trucks and trailers to store at my shop and my shop would have its own garage to repair the trucks and fuel up. I would also love to have Peterbuilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner trucks to buy. I would like to be able to buy a refer trailer-for food and produce, a dump trailer-for the rock, stone, sand etc. a grain hopper trailer- for grain at the farms, a livestock trailer- for animals at the farms, a tanker trailer- for diesel, gas, oil, and water and a flatbed trailer- for hauling cars, trucks, lumber, crates etc. It would be like American Truck Simulator. But I would want it in this game because its like real life and I could own a one room log cabin in the woods as my house and live there and own my trucking company and everything would be wonderful. link to American Truck Simulator ( )

1 pointThere's a lot of careers in this thread that aren't exactly very common, for example Assassins aren't very common around the world. So i wanted to list down a few common jobs that would create more options for a player. White Collar = Office Jobs Blue Collar = Manual Jobs ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -White Collar Jobs- Stock Broker A stockbroker is a regulated professional individual, usually associated with a brokerage firm or broker-dealer, who buys and sells stocks and other securities for both retail and institutional clients, through a stock exchange or over the counter, in return for a fee or commission. Stockbrokers are known by numerous professional designations, depending on the license they hold, the type of securities they sell, or the services they provide Insurance Claims examiners work inside an office to handle the claims filed by those insured. Sometimes, they work with private investigators or adjusters who visit the site or the property for which a claim is filed. This includes workers' compensation, health, liability, automotive, home, property and business insurance. As a claims examiner, you typically require certification for the field of insurance, computer experience and self-motivation and discipline. Accounting Whether you work for an accounting firm or in the accounting department of a business or public entity, there are many types of office jobs in the accounting field. These jobs include file clerks, billing or accounts payable clerks, payroll supervisors, general-ledger accountants, project accountants, accounting managers, supervisors and controllers. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -Blue Collar Jobs- Electrician Specializing in electrical wiring of buildings and related equipment. Electricians may be employed in the construction of new buildings or maintenance of existing electrical infrastructure. 1 pointThe devs have stated you will only be able to see somebody's name if you look at them and they don't have a mask on. They have also said that it will be an option for private server owners to make it so that you can only see somebody's name above their heads once they greet and introduce themselves to you. I think this should be the other way around. It should be the default for you to have to introduce yourself. To make it so that you can instantly know who you are talking to even if they don't first introduce themselves would ruin so much potential RP and make the game more appealing to GTA twelvies. What do you think? Also, I'm guessing it will show your RP name above your head and not your steam name. @Motown @Paratus

1 pointdon't even try to confuse yourself. i've told you that a virus that infects everyone without decaying it's host is more realistic AND i've said (written, but said sounds better) that it sucks if every zombie player is let's say just fail rping like doing this as zombie (now watch the video below). and why oh why didn'T your parents teach you what leave me alone means? i don't want to have a conversation with someone who is trying to blame me. just go and annoy someone else. edit: what business of yours is it what i like and what not @Atmosphere?

1 pointHey everyone! Glad I could finally create an account on the forums. My name is Brendan, I'm 17 years old. I work part-time at wal-mart and am currently a junior in highschool. I grew up with video games, they have been a part of my life ever since I was a little kid. I always loved how the world was put together to fully immerse you into the game. Since video games have been a big part of my life, I decided to eventually dive into the action and get familiar with Unreal Engine and Unity. After spending some time in those, I eventually took a 3D modeling class and fell in love. I've been using Autodesk Maya for a little over a year. I'm hoping to apply for an internship at Gearbox Software late 2016!

1 pointGood stuff. Can't see there being carpet layers or electricians, but there's definitely a place for insurance salesmen and accountants, maybe even stockbrokers if the devs can get it right. A few jobs I thought of: - Unionist - Psychiatrist (if people are willing to RP it a bit and not get ridiculous) - Journalist

1 pointDon't worry my friend, there will be just as much police. Already i have seen lots of people saying stuff about being cops. You will see.

1 point@darkcyborg310 Not going to lie, that was a horrible post. Your grammar and sentencing is... quite bad to say the least. If you want to propose something to such a strong crime family (or anyone really) you should make it appealing by using proper grammar. It's in the forum rules, make sure you read them. P.S. Not trying to offend you, but make sure you fix your mistakes before posting again.

1 point@Freebios I agree, content, like the grappling hook, does not need to instantly come out. I just feel like people here are too scared of what other people can do in Identity. I understand there are minges, trolls, and people who want to ruin your time. You know what I call those people in game like Identity? Criminals, and they are not going to last a long time if they balance out the police force. Again, if someone can please clarify on the developer's standpoint, if Identity is going to be a true realistic role playing game or a "realistic" mini game for role playing? (If it is a mini-game, do private owned servers have the option to change that. For example, making perma death a thing or lifetime jail sentences which can be considered as bans.) I have hopes for Identity, for it to be the first true realistic role playing simulator. Though, all my hopes do not need to be inside Identity, but that my hopes is a goal or path for Identity to follow. That one day the developers will come out with a new update or Identity 2 that provides the player free will. That the of path of Identity is not defined by fear of others, that makes the game more restricted as time passes. That I can plan to take a drive to the mountains and buy a grappling hook. Then to use that grappling hook to just get on top of the bank, you got to think someone is going to see and they're going to call the police. The whole point of a grappling hook is just an idea of a million other ideas. I want you to right now think on how you would rob a bank in real life, but you cannot go through the front doors guns blazing and cannot blow your way in. Use your imagination, and as you using your imagination think about how you are feeling. Now if that process can be put inside a game, than a player truly has free will; free will is what we have in real life.

1 pointWhat is going on right now?? America is a democratic capitalism. Hitler believed in socialist ideas but that doesn't mean ever socialist is a Nazi..take Bernie Sanders for example. So 8OB's comment makes no sense. Tying back into the actual thread...having a mega corporation controlling the people does not automatically make this company a communist or socialist idea. It is a totalitarianism from what I have read, and more specifically a dictatorship.

1 pointIf time is 45 minutes max: Jailbreaks would almost never be possible with such a short amount of time. It often takes 30+ minutes just to prepare a strategy, gear up, and gather the appropriate intel assuming there are no delays and you're not rushing into things (this is from experience on ArmA 3 Life). This gives us very little time to enjoy the full prison experience, some people want to take it all in not blow through it all and chow down faster than a speeding bullet.. Enjoy your experience. If time is above 45 minutes (3 hour max jail sentence): This makes not getting caught much more thrilling in my opinion, sure a lot of people are like "but then if I do a crime I have to sit in jail and do nothing for hours!" but you do realize that's only if you get caught? Also I imagine you have to do a hell of a lot of crimes to receive a maximum jail sentence. I, personally someone who's more interested in hardcore role-play rather than an arcady GTA experience would prefer a longer jail sentence just for the sake of role-play. I want to be part of the whole role-playing experience, I don't want to run around the streets and just commit constant crime after crime not carring about that 45 minute maximum jail sentence. If you're a real criminal and know what you're doing, you shouldn't get caught. Honestly.. I imagine the official servers want something for everyone so I imagine there will be versions of official servers that are more arcady while there are versions that are much more hardcore with longer jail sentences and such; Regardless of that, I imagine there will be plenty more private servers and something for everyone. It won't all be the same, so if you want that chance at a longer jail sentence then trust me there will be servers out there for you just with that in mind focusing on the hardcore aspects of role-play.
