3 pointsRemember that Identity is meant to simulate real life, albeit more simple. People don't go around with grappling hooks. This is something I see becoming an issue, people wanting this game to be like GTA. The first thing to remember is that this is not GTA. It's all about realism. You act out the life of a realistic character with a backstory, emotions, and ambitions. You don't go around shooting people or jumping on top of buildings.

2 pointsIsn't even worth arguing with this guy tbh, it looks like he's a GTA kid who wants Identity to be a GTA clone...

1 pointMTA SA is basically, Gta SanAndreas multiplayer on PC. There is one server on that game called Cit2. It usually has 800 people on it. Basically no NPC, and 800 real people on the SanAndreas map. There are tons of jobs, Police, ambulance, fireman, garbage man, farmer, fisher, pilot, and criminal. With all of these jobs come custom scripting to make them full. Farmers have custom jobs, and ways to plant things and get money, fisher get boats and do a sort of minigame to actually get fish, and criminals have turfing, different drugs, robbing stores, atms, and houses. Every house on the server is also ownable by a player like identity will be. In case anyone plays the game, pm me.

1 pointthis just a random thought but just wondering how dark this game will get at night without lights, like being in the country or a forest at night, will it be dayz night dark where you basically cant see anything at night or will it be like gta where you can pretty much see anything. id love to have the feature that if you crash or breakdown in the middle of nowhere in the patch black and the only light you have is from your headlights, the night sky and if you remembered a torch, would add a really creepy atmosphere in game and help with the criminal side of things to hide in the dark.

1 pointI think I have something like that, my brothers always get salty when I download stuff because it makes their pings go really high

1 pointI owned and ran a Serious DarkRP Garry's Mod server back in the day. It was hard to keep the roleplay serious considering most of the Garry's Mod playerbase is aged 8-14, but when we did have good RP it was great. I closed the server a while back and ever since have been looking for something to take it's place. Identity is basically everything I wanted my server to be and more, which is why I'm looking forward to it so much.

1 pointAdding kids would be a huge mistake. It would just be another way for trolls to try and ruin the roleplay.
-
1 pointSo mafias and gangs might work as guilds with custom titles and the boss giving members privileges both via game options and role play.

1 pointThat'd be a good way to hone your skills for sure. I'm sure the devs have something in mind.

1 pointSwearing is part of a mobster's job description. Idk about you guys but I'm gonna be swearing a lot in-game.

1 pointMy character moved out from her parents when she was 18 "to study". In reality she got pregnant by her boyfriend who broke up with her shortly before she found out about the pregnancy. Her parents were extremely Catholic and didn't even know she had a boyfriend in the first place. She knew they'd make her give the baby up for adoption, so she decided to keep it a secret. Didn't tell the father of the baby because she didn't want him in her life. She spent the money they gave her for university on baby stuff, but few months into the pregnancy she had a miscarriage. As a response to the emotional pain she turned to drugs and alcohol and got in debts, so now she's dancing.

1 pointMy character history is described in detail on my mafia page, but I'll put it here as well. Aside from what is mentioned there, my character is a great thinker and strategist, but when he is backed into a corner he is prone to losing his shit and getting very mad and potentially violent.

1 pointMy char is going to be a hindley street hooker and she'll wear the most minimal amount of clothing, sexually pose in inappropriate places and part time work at a servo as a distasteful car wash bombshell. Backstory is that her brother is going to a flashy school and she needs to make some dosh to keep the family afloat. All jokes aside - I'll probably be a mobster, parents died, turned to a life of crime, felt alive in the city where I could pursue my dreams of just intimidating and ruling? It'll be g.
-
1 pointIt would be awesome, but terrorism would probably just be a tool for griefers rather than proper roleplayers.

1 pointHoly eff, that's 12400zł! That's 248 days of me working, without spending a single złoty and working 248 days straight! Sheesh... But yeah, my uncle did a good job in finding parts and convincing my parents It was going to be 4k zł in the beginning, but he convinced them to buy better parts and it was 5.5k zł total, so about $1332. I'll still have to buy few things separately. Like a second hard drive, my current one has only 128GB, and another 8GB RAM.

1 pointGirls are also useful, even so more then men in some cases. If you have a good "Girl Friend", she could infiltrate another crew and get info easier then a guy. Just the way things are.

1 pointSan Andreas Multiplayer mostly. Nice platform to start roleplaying, a lot of servers, friends, ways to play. Played on few polish servers, spent fun time there. Gangs, music labels, taxi corporations, had many of these. Hoping that I can open my music label on Identity aswell, but they will have to add something for labels in the gamemode/script and tools for recording music videos - that's the best part of it (if they already did mentioned it on twitter, link please). Tried RP also in gMod, but gave up after 5 minutes cuz it's ain't for me, didn't know what's up with everything and I was alone

1 pointCPU: i7 3820 @ 3.60GHz RAM: 16GB of RAM GPU: EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB I've had these parts passed down from when my uncle didn't need his computer parts anymore, haven't bought anything for my PC except a mouse. Saved me $1600
-
1 pointYep, this is possible. What I meant by them being technically the same is that we add them to the character automatically based on the clothing (or lack there of) being worn. Most games simply make them a part of the base character model and then add clothes over them, but we didn't want that since there may be times where more revealing clothes, which cover the private areas on their own, don't want that underwear sticking out. For example, imagine wearing a bathing suit with your underwear coming out underneath it. The system we're using provides us all sorts of flexibility and we can layer clothing.

1 pointThis is cool, but highly unlikely to be added because they can't add 100 small details for every single aspect of the game.

1 pointI ran a Mafia on GTA V. It was fun, but gta does not have all the benefits that this game will have.
-
1 pointShit, it's hard to choose between Badabing and DJScias, with Bada I've had so many adventures (including me sucking his dick for some money, my gang was right next to me so I had to whisper it). But DJScias is just.. well, It's something I can't say. Either way, these 2 are the best Close 3rd would be Budbringer (Bounty hunting 4 life) and 4rd Bamf ( godmode ifrits and nitro's 4 life) 5th Killswitch (Whales are not a race).
-
1 pointsry, but it's like you're alone on earth. no electricity, no fuel (because it's not useful after average 1 year), and the most important thing (well, i don't have any): no friends

1 pointI hope it's really dark at night but you can also use your phone's screen brightness as a flashlight if you don't have an actual flashlight with you and there should be pupil dilation so say once you're out in pitch darkness for a long time you can see slightly better.

1 pointI'd like to see it get pretty dark in the rural areas, especially if people are roleplaying a survivalist type character or a farmer. Maybe this could be configurable by server owners? I've found that eight hour cycles work best on these type of games, four hour days then four hour nights. This gives everyone a chance to experience day and nights across all time zones.
-
1 pointSo night gets very dark when you're away from city light sources, but we don't know yet how long the night will be. Also- doubt there will be torches. Flashlights are more likely.
-
1 pointMore or less the same, except I'll be a businessman during the day and criminal by night. I do hope everyone, like Kevin says, join the same server and play at least for a little while before we all separate as we have all patiently waited together, talked to each other, and helped provide ideas to the dev team together since the old forums started all that time ago.

1 pointIn identity there will be an insurance thing. So not rip new car, as long as you bought insurance (possibly you have to to own a car) then you just call, and get it replaced. This would be one of the best features.
-
1 pointIn my opinion, the closest we will get to explosives in this game, would be a flash bang the police use. In my opinion, this is a great game choice to leave them out.
-
1 pointNot really boring at all. I look forward to the interactions a lot. I think with a new map and all together new experience there will be a lot to talk about and roleplay.
-
1 pointWell I guess that balances it some more. Thanks for help, I don't see why you haven't become a mod yet I see you helping people on pretty much every post I see.
-
1 pointThis is just a thread where i felt people could discuss the small aspects that, if they made it into identity, would just make your day. I'm talking about stuff like, a character using his hand to close a door he walks into rather than his face, or the ability to put up and down your hood without entering some clothing menu. In the end, isn't all these little aspects that make a game for you?

1 pointThe policing career is the most in-depth of all the careers in Identity because it serves a very important role in the game as a whole. When you first start out as a rookie cop, you'll begin patrolling and responding to dispatch calls. If there's a dispatcher online you can speak to them directly with your radio and if not it's handled by an automated system. As you progress you can unlock additional perks in the policing career and eventually you can experience new specialty roles like detective, SWAT, and so on. A police officer can only ticket or arrest another player for something they are known to have committed. If a cop sees you speeding down the road, he then has the opportunity to ticket you. If he turns on his emergency lights and you refuse to pull over for him, the system will now allow him to charge you with resistance. That is, at the base level, how the system functions. Private servers have the option to remove all restrictions and leave it up to the discretion of the officer, although this system keeps the police in-line. A lot more information on policing will be available on the website very shortly. I just had to hide about half of this thread since it was completely off-topic arguing. Let's try to keep that to the private messages.
