    We at Asylum Entertainment are very excited to tell you, our community, how you will be able to get into the game sooner than you think! Identity's modules are small portions of Identity which will be released before Identity is ready for the world. This lets you experience part of the game months sooner than otherwise possible. The first module you'll be getting your hands on is a social environment which we've called Town Square. The Town Square will include all major social components, and will allow you to finally create and customize your characters. You can meet hundreds of new people and explore several cool features of the peaceful city life. For more details on Town Square, check out the modules page on the Identity website. Following the release of Town Square you'll experience SWAT player versus player action and eventually vehicle races of all sorts. We'll be bringing you more information on the modules as they progress!

    FIRST THINGS FIRST: We are not like any other gang, if anything we are closer to a mafia. We are just a group of criminals carrying out crimes. We do not like to identify as a gang as most "gangs" are usually extremely unorganized and careless about crimes. We are the polar opposite. 1. Drug Trafficking 2. Thievery / Robbing 3. Assasination / Hitmen 4. Hijacking 5. DRUG MANUFACTURING We will need workers to fill these spots when the game comes out, these players must have sufficient vehicles to transport and/or produce our goods. There will be lots of these spots available as we will have many people manufacturing drugs. If you are interested in this job, you may consider running the drugs with 2 people just in-case anyone tries to rob you, you have backup and it lowers the risk of being robbed and losing our drugs. If you are robbed and decided to risk the run without backup, and you lose our drugs, you will have to pay with your own funds. If you do not have sufficient funds, you will work all high risk jobs, until you can pay off what you have lost to the company or either receive a strike. If you are interested in applying for this position please post that you would like to be drug trafficker, and what you have to offer. We will need an EXTREMELY LARGE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE FOR THIS job. You guys will manufacture the drugs for the drug traffickers/producers. This job is fairly simple and will provide you protection from other players when in this group, we will take over and be the largest. So there would be no worries about anyone stealing your money or taking your vehicles etc. because we will be the ones doing it. If any rival gangs interfere with our work, we will eliminate them. We will take over their territory and work. If they do not bother us, and do not try to distribute or produce on our territory. We will not bother them unless they start causing trouble, or we need new land. haha We will be producing all of the drugs available, some may be less risk than others and this will determine your amount pay and protection in the group. If you are interested in applying for this position please post that you would like to be drug manufacturer, and what you have to offer. We do not need a large amount of these but they would be good for quick and easy money. We will need a few groups of sophisticated players, that are good in devising quick plans and being stealthy. You will be matched with other players within the group to complete the robbery. There will be higher ranked members deciding who you will go and complete the robbery with. You can suggest a player or players to rob with and he will most likely allow you to. But if you come back with a failed robbery due to the player you decided to choose, you will get a strike. We will also need highjackers, to bring in our drug trafficking vehicles and luxurious vehicles to flaunt our wealth. We will need a few of these also, they will not be working solo ever! You will always be grouped with other players. We will let the strike system start once the group is started and has been running stable for about a week or 2. We will provide more details to robbing when we find out more info about it. If you are interested in applying for this position please post that you would like to be robbers, and what you have to offer. People like personal revenge, so they put out hits on other players. We will need some people to complete these contract kills, we will have a small organized team to complete these tasks when needed. They will need to be stealthy about it, so they do not know who and what group has completed the hit successfully. We need to stay under the radar. These people need to be smart and stealthy. If you are interested in applying for this position please post that you would like to be assassin, and what you have to offer. Ranks will be established once we get a feel for the game, but for now we will have basic ranks below. Once you are available for a rankup there will be a small fee that must be paid to either a general or the leader. Recruit Apprentice Corporal Sergeant Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Age Requirement: 16+ (some acceptions if you are mature) You must have TeamSpeak You need to be mature and serious. Must be dedicated to one group/gang and one group/gang only, The Traffickers. You must not leak our activities and plans to other gangs or players outside of The Traffickers. Do not apply if you do not agree with the following above. Now if you are interested, apply with the following form.     I think it's a fantastic idea but it needs to be limited. At most I think crime tape is a fantastic idea to RP a crime scene. As for shells on the floor, think about the lag. Detectives might not get around to that area for hours, and there's just gonna be shells strewn all across the map. You might want a little button for example which might say "Examine area" - Exclusive to law enforcement only of course. From there it could be like a little text adventure mini game > Examine Area > There are some foot prints here. There are two bullet casings off to the side. > Examine foot prints > The foot prints appear to be male. > Examine bullet casing > It is a 9mm shell. > Take bullet casing. > Bullet casing taken. Alternatively if you're a criminal, it might be possible for you to throw some dirt on your tracks and pick up the casings with you when you go. Now of course this won't be the case with literally EVERY shooting or mystery that takes place. Maybe there could be a little RP system in place where a criminal could send an OOC invite to a law enforcement agency to start the investigation. The criminal would have to commit a crime, and the police would have a pre-determined amount of time to solve the mystery and find the culprit. If the police are successful, the criminal goes to prison. If the police AREN'T successful, the criminal would gain some xp, money, etc. And to prevent any MGing, when the criminal sends the invite the source would be "anonymous". *whew* I wrote that in class.. Okay bai!

    I'm going to be a stripper in identity and I'll play as a female I am female in real life and I hate playing as male characters. When I roleplay I have to relate to my character- that's why I always make them tall, pale and plump. I can't relate to a penis-creature. v.v

    I'd be more inclined to support a one prison per server idea. But as you've suggested on each level inside the prison different classes. LEVEL 1 - Remand/Petty criminals LEVEL 2 - Burglary and drug dealers LEVEL 3 - Murderers and crime lords.

    They could stream radios in the prison using the computer as well so prisoners are kept up-to-date with news happening in the real real world, or listen to an Identity radio station stream, where they can listen to news happening in the server. Players could call into the (Identity) station and pretend to give shoutouts to their friends at work, or in prison, and pass on subliminal messages.

    Langston Family / Dark Ace Mafia vvvvvvvvvv CHECK OUT MAIN PAGE THREAD! vvvvvvvvvv Welcome to the Langston Family, or the Dark Ace Mafia. we have already recruited many men, and have made many connections. We are looking for more loyal men that enjoy the Mafia style role playing. This crime family will control everything from the production of drugs, the dealers on the streets, the weapons trade, smuggling, hijacking, robbery, and whatever else we need to do to get that money. Everything illegal happening on the streets will belong to "us". This means if their is a petty dealer dealing on our streets, well, lets just say he won't be there for very long without paying some fees. On top of all the crime, and money, we are a family, we support each other in times of need, and stand on the building blocks of loyalty that this family operates on. We will be a Suit Mafia, wear tailored suits, drive nice cars, and we treat everyone with respect, unless we are shown disrespect. Join this family, and have a lot of fun in identity, and make lots of money while doing it. Now a little about me not as a Don, but as a person. I am not the Don that sits in my office all day. I am not the Don that steals from the poor. I am the Man, that spends time helping the community. I give money to the poor, and just am a very public kind of guy. Am i scared of being public, sure, you never know who wants to hurt you, but living in a room, is not living. I hope to see many of you in the game. Who can join? Anyone, if you like crime style playing, and mafia type scenarios, this is perfect for you. What will we do? We will do all the things a Mafia does. We will control the drug dealing in the towns, with dealers operating under us, giving us a cut of what they make, and we give them more product. We will control illegal gun trading in the world, doing big role play like deals, with other Family's. We will break the legs of anyone trying to take our turf, and if it becomes necessary, use our assets to have them taken care of. This is just a glimpse at what we will do when the full game is out. Climb the ranks of the Mafia family and become high up and powerful, and make a name for you, and your family, on identity. RANKS: First I have to say, ranking up is not about the money you bring in. You will not be ranked up before spending a considerable amount of time in the family, and proving that you deserve to move up the chain through nothing but pure dedication and success. 1st, Associate: You will role with us and see how things are done. Bring in $500 into the family, and prove yourself to the family to rank up. 2nd, Soldier or Street man: You will scout the streets, bringing information of people selling anything from guns or drugs to the attention of the family, you will be able to also show other Associates how we work. Bring in $2000 into the family, and prove your loyalty to the Langston name to rank up. 3rd, Enforcer: You will be tasked with doing some... shall i say, dirty work. Now don't get ahead of yourself, your not a hitman. You will be an enforcer on the streets, intimidating, and maybe even kidnapping people who disagree with our rules on the streets. You will also be able to take soldiers and associates with you on jobs such as robberies and other various tasks. Bring in $10,000, 1 new recruit, prove that you deserve this promotion, and complete one mission for the boss to rank up. 4th, Capo: You will be in charge of territories and men. You will have your soldiers and associates, although this does not make it a competition between you and other capos, it is just that you are at the stage of control. You will have more leeway to do jobs and activities of higher caliber. Remember, we are a family, so no matter where we are, we always help each other. The capo can also give his own jobs and assign his own tasks to enforcers or soldiers, if he/she is confident they can get it done. Bring in $15,000 to the family, and 3 new recruits, show you are ready, and complete various tasks for the boss to rank up. 5th, Underboss: This rank will have limited slots. Whether i want 2, 3, or 4 is undecided yet. The Underboss(s) will act as the commanding voice of the family when the Don is away. They can assign major tasks to the capo's to then assign on their men. The Underbosses will be entrusted in handling many meetings with other family's, supervising major deals and shipments, to ensure everything runs smoothly. You are the ones with the most experience meaning you make the calls above everyone under you. Special Division 1. Hitman: What i meant to say was, special tool. To get to this rank, you must make it to the enforcer rank, and than come to the Don about this... Special job. You will be tasked with many, special assignments to say, clean up messes, or take care of things. You get the idea. RULES 1. Respect, 2. RESPECT 3. Loyalty 4. Obey higher ranks 5. Got a problem, don't freak out, come to the Don personally. 6. No Snitching, no talking to cops, civilians, or even your own sweet mother about things we do. 7. All rats will be caught, you wont last long as a rat, we'll have people watching over everyone, and you will meet our special tool. 8. All money collected on family related jobs, will be split to 70% for those who "collected" the money, and 30% for the family. 9. Family money is not one mans money, it is the money we use to further our organization, whether that be buying a poor soldier a suit, buying more cars for the family, getting "merchandise and tools" for the family, it all goes to the family, not just one mans personal pleasure. 10. Steeling from the family is not smart, as this makes you a thief to the family, and that breaks this rule, and rule #3. Not only does the Don himself despise people who steal from the family, but everyone does as your are stealing from everyone, as that money could be spent towards the family and gaining even more money. If your short on cash, don's hold back your % on jobs, simply ask someone for a loan, or even the Don himself doesn't mind loaning money to his family members, because that's what we do. 11. Don't do ambitious jobs or activities that could jeopardize the family organization without consulting the Don. 12. Along with the rolaplay fun of the family, take some time off once in a while and just have fun, try other jobs, it is a new game and if you want to try new things, just take a break, ask the Don. 13. Always have your family's back. 14. As an associate or soldier, before committing any crime at all, ask a superior if it is ok. 15. Last but not least, if your caught, it was your individual choice to do what you did and you had no influence from anyone else. Sometimes you just got to eat some dirt to keep your family safe. This will not go unnoticed as sacrifice, is a quality of a very loyal man. 16. Close members of the Family's wont be selling drugs, personally delivering illegal shipments, etc. This will be for outsiders that are under our control. This is to keep the crime semi disconnected from the family and helps insure the integrity of our operations. 17. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, are you to discuss plans, activities, operations, etc, with anyone outside of the family. Doing this will make you a RAT, and you know what happens to rats.     I see a lot of potential in the musical instruments that could be implemented, and there are various ways the devs could go about making a way to play them. I think it would be cool to have instruments to give some atmosphere and mood to certain places, like people playing music in a smokey jazz bar, or bringing a guitar on a camping trip and singing around the fire, or somebody playing a saxophone in the subways, trying to earn a few tips. What kind of instruments do you guys think would be cool to see?

    I guess there would have to be one since if you died and you were a rich son of a gun it would all be lost. Also getting paid would be done by a bank I presume since who would want to have to go to a place on the map to get paid every so often. I would also predict the bank be run by NPCs mainly but could perhaps have a small amount of user input, say bank clerk or security since an NPC can't RP being robbed

    I have no idea if this is in the checklist already but, there should be a tab for this since people want to make gangs and such. Once you create it you can add members and such obviously, be able to have 10 different ranks and name them yourself as the leader. Give permissions for each rank. Also be able to declare war or ally other gangs. For this to happen no gang can have the same name. Also if you are a gang member and you see a member of the same, allied, or enemy gang it will show on top of their head. (Or possibly a gang color can be added so people can have their gang color shoe laces and clothes. Or Bandana if you are stuck in the 90s. Colored ties if it's the mafia, etc.)

    Will there be prisons that are graded by crime committed by the player? Like if someone was caught stealing a car they would go to a smaller security prison than someone who has been been doing armed robbery? Prisoners should also be able to work the cafeteria to earn some small cash for when they done serving their time; or even steal some materials that they obtain from the kitchen.

    Good idea, but I think if you wanted to be a musician and refine your craft; you'd start more on a busking scale. A performer shouldn't be paid via the city fund unless it was a city run event or festival. If people want to listen to you they would pay themselves. If you've been given permission to perform at a bar, a mutually agreed price of entry by you and the bar owner could be put on the door. So that anyone wanting to drink at the establishment would have to pay like $5 to get in and you'd get a cut of the entrance fee. A security guard would collect the money and return it at the end of the night... he may also charge an extra $5 and keep that for himself

    I think you're onto something there @DrFelixPhD - Chief of Police should be notified of all new cadets that have applied to be an officer and are going through training. Once completed, it'll be up to him based on their test results as to whether they've been accepted or not and can only (per server) apply no more than 3 times.

    In regular Jail Cells, the iPad would be a genius immersive way to spend your time, but then again, it won't feel like you're getting punished, so I do disagree with it on some levels. In an actual prison, you should only have access to this if you have good behavior. I don't think Guards will let you serf the web after you just shanked someone. For what I want to see in prisons, I really want a lot of this too be based off real world prisons and the game Prison Architect. I think that game is very realistic and a lot of the features in this game (except for the whole building the prison thing) would be really manageable and cool in this game. I also like the idea of a prison currency. Now a lot of prisons let prisoners earn real money from jobs and spend it in a prison made shop, but there could be prisoner-made currencies, like cigarettes or something. My main opinion is that they should take a lot of prison features from Prison Architect.

    The trains cannot be controlled only because a lot of player may rely on their schedule and giving control of that to players would cause all kinds of problems if a griefer got behind the... stick? The trains are not instant travel, but they're fast. They are actual trains driving through the land on a set schedule.

    I know that for sure, there will be no NPC cars on the roads, but there might be some NPC run shops that you could probably rob, and say you are the owner of a store, and selling a product, instead of standing in your store bored, you could probably have an npc run it with your set prices.

    i think it would be fun if they had food poisining mechanics. do you go to that sh!t kebab place 5 mins away and risk a tummby bug, or do you go to a "macdoodles" which cost a little more, but less risk of giving you the poops
